VERY late, but I found an anon asking you what Chimlopzock is when I googled it to check my spelling. "Chimlopzock" originates in a rejected Sagan 4 submission of a sapient species called a Chimpus which wore nothing but pants and inexplicably used Minecraft weapons before Minecraft existed. Its religion was a rip-off of Christianity, and Chimlopzock was its god. I have no idea when or why bukbot joined its cult

My height - I’m 6’3” or 190.5cm. I like being tall

My cooking - I’m not as good as my wife, but I’m not bad in the kitchen or on the grill

My supportiveness - I like being able to be ther for people when they need me

My hair - it can be unruly sometimes, but I can usually get it to do what I want

My sense of humor - I got it from my dad and it reminds me of him.

Three Women Healers

It is our Day of the Dead tradition to honor Latin American historical figures. In previous years we have honored La Llorona, La China Poblana, La Catrina, among others, and this year we have chosen three women that represent the history and leadership of their cultures. This year we are honoring Salomé Ureña (Dominican Republic), La Mulata de Córdoba (Mexico), and Palla Chimpu Ocllo or Isabel Suárez Chimpu Ocllo (Peru). 

Scholar and writer Xanath Caraza, and Frida Larios and Manuel ‘Ché’ León from Indigenous Design Collective have joined us to commemorate these emblematic figures. We asked Indigenous Design Collective to share their thoughts about their creative process during this project inspired by Caraza’s poems. 

“The three women, healers, and leaders hold their hands and rise in their indigenous light. On the left: the light of the Cempasúchil flower guiding our ancestors to the underworld gateway. In the middle the Inti: the strength of the Inka sun in our blood. On the right: four linked hearts, a symbol of agreement in Ghanian peoples mourning garments. Together, the three women unite in diversity to form a woven fabric: an unbreakable continuous pattern. We use textile and cultural visual language to illustrate the cultural essence and history of these notable women. LatinX and indigenous women in the US today are root to these same values, we must harvest our crop.” –Indigenous Design Collective, Frida Larios & Manuel (Che) León.

Hello, just looking through the interest form and I'm not actually sure what the difference is between Zelda's earrings and the Zonai lady's earrings? They look the same to my untrained eye in the trailer

The style is the same except for the teardrop color.

Even at a distance, it's pretty obvious that the Zonai lady's earrings have a white teardrop, almost the same shade as the round bulb.

I was wondering what clay and techniques you used to make the light dragon? I want to make something similar for a LoZ themed pinch pot I'm doing!

I'm using a polymer clay that's flexible with a rubber-like feel after baking. I'm not using a branded clay, but Cosclay is the nearest brand I could think of that has these clay types.

As for the techniques, well, I designed her just like how I design fondant cakes 😅

I used an aluminum foil only as her armature since she's just small, and adding a wire is too overkill. I tried dropping her to the ground, just at table height, a few times for a sturdy test, and she didn't crack at all 😆

She's gonna be displayed during conventions so she has to be lightweight but durable. I had clay art table pieces (not the ones being sold thankfully) that suffered minor cracks from visitors who would pick em up and accidentally drop em to the floor.

I haven't done any pinch pot projects, but I've met a few local clay artists at cons who use airdry to make their pinch pots. I'm not really familiar with airdry or even tried them once so I can't really help you with that 😞
