The Fabulous
Tumblr media
I frankly don't know where to start., so I'll be blunt: I didn't like this series. I forced myself to finish it and I skipped episodes - and mind you, this was an 8 episode series. It was the combination of poor storyline, character development and representation. The characters come off as frivolous, the gay characters feel like a stereotyped caricature that felt cringy at times. And I just couldn't connect with any of the characters. It annoyed me that Pyo Ji Eun could forgive and give a second chance to Lee Nam Jin who insulted her when they broke up, but she couldn't forgive and give a second chance to her friend and ex-boyfriend because she couldn't see how he expressed his feelings for her. These characters are static, there is no true growth in them. At the end of the series they are the same as they were in the beginning.
The plot felt superficial too. It could have worked if there had been some depth to the conflicts that could truly make the characters do some growing; for example Ye Seon Ho's situation as a model. This could have been explored more. The conflicts are all triggered by the whim of celebrities, rich people or influencers. Shim Do Young is supposed to be the cute boy trying to make it in the fashion industry and he comes off as annoying and shallow.
Thierry's story could have been a nice subplot but they turned that character into the biggest caricature of the set of characters.
It's a pity because the cast has some really good actors in it, but they were not able to bring to life characters that the audience could connect.
I truly don't recommend this one. There are other series about fashion that are much better.

summary: killing kim myeong-gil would bring many people satisfaction. as hyeon-ju, gun-woo, woo-jin and the others begin to plan on how to do it, choi knows that there's someone in seoul who would take part in it with much pleasure.
wordcount: 3.348k (i got a little bit excited, the other chapters gonna be shorter don't worry)
tw: swearing, almost-fighting, so just plain bloodhounds-things (i update this section with every new part of the story)
author's note: i watched the k-drama in one day, it's wonderful. a little explaining for the "y/h/c", i wrote it with creme-blonde haired character so i'd recommend some extreme or light color. other than that, it's free for every hair color!!
in the burger shop, the pregnant silence after gun-woo's confession about the loan and his mother's café shop was broken by the arrived burgers, brought by woo-jin. hyeon-ju's face became hard again.
"as you heard, my grandpa is no longer a loan-shark. he provides zero-interest loans to people in need. but we occasionally come across punks who try to take advantage of his good heart. yang jae-myeong was one of them. he lied about his mother needing to get an operation. he borrowed ten million won and vanished. it took me half a year to track him down. i saw him begging in front of a train station. at first, I thought he had really become homeless, but i noticed how clean his teeth were as I was passing by. so i tailed him, I found out that he and his goons were pretending to be homeless and stealing IDs from actual homeless people. they use the IDs to create shell corporations and open bank accounts. then they con loan sharks and take out loans anywhere from tens to hundreds of millions of won. this tactic was so professional, we thought there could be someone behind yang jae-myeong. i heard that this person had connections to yang jae-myeong. do you know him?"
after the photo was shown, they talked about how to follow yang jam-myeong's gang, but before the trio stood up from the table, hyeon-ju nodded to the guys to stay sit. digging into her jacket's pocket, she took out a piece of paper that seemed to be like a photo.
"before you begin stalking the gang, i want you to find this girl. i didn't have the time to talk to her, since i was searching for yang jae-myeong, but now i want you two to talk to this girl. gun-woo, tell her about the loans your mom signed and what happened after. she's hard-headed and kind of keeping to herself."
"fine, but who's she?" woo-jin asked, as gun-woo looked at the picture. long y/h/c hair, the mask was on her face, but she had wide, clear speaking eyes. ones like woo-jin's, the ones you look in and can read from them without a loud word.
"she's y/n. i heard my grandpa talk about him on the phone, this was the only picture i could get about her. she doesn't have instagram, facebook or any of these apps, i took this from my grandpa's office. it's possible that she won't open up to you, but it's a must to talk to her."
"yeah, i get it. but why do you want us to find her?" gun-woo was also interested about this question. was she an enemy? young kids can also be stolen by criminals and raised by them, to be as loyal as a dog can to do anything for theirs.
"y/n is good, don't worry. as far as i know from what my grandpa said on the phone, she is someone whose parents were close to my grandpa. she followed her father's track and trained herself in the most brutalist martial arts, like the israelite krav maga, the russian systema or muay thai."
"aisssh, i wouldn't want to confront her in any way", woo-jin said. gun-woo thought about these fights; he only saw muay thai on tv, and that seemed really dangerous in itself. he knew that as soon as they begin to track the girl, he's gonna search up the other two martial arts on his phone.
"yeah, me neither" gun-woo added.
"will you two do? and asking for her phone number?" hyeon-ju asked, the guys nodded.
"yes, of course. but i'll bring a white flag just in case", woo-jin answered as they stood up from the table.
a few hours later, gun-woo and woo-jin were on the streets, wandering around buildings.
"fuck, how can we find someone in a town where nearly ten million people lives?" woo-jin asked. gun-woo looked at the picture.
“hyeon-ju said that she’s a pro in martial arts. maybe we should look in the gyms?”
woo-jin patted his chest, “look, a real genius here.”
going to every gym around the town, gun-woo and woo-jin began to lose hope.
“maybe she’s working today or just doesn't feel like coming down to train.” gun-woo began to think about what to tell hyeon-ju if they don’t find the girl. she sure will be pissed or angry, but this is a really difficult task.
“aish, gun-woo, don’t be like that! would you say something like this? people like us, people who train daily, their safe place is the gym. feeling sad? go to the gym! feeling happy? go to the gym! did your date went well? go to the gym! you just broke up with your girlfriend? go to the gym! look, for every problem, there’s a solution, and the solution is called–”
as woo-jin talked and talked, gun-woo thought he’s hallucinating. on the other side of the crosswalk, a girl tapped on her phone. same (y/h/c) hair, same (e/c) eyes, the same way she dipped her shoulder as she looked behind her, even the black sweater was the same. she wasn’t tall, the arms of her sweater weren't puffed from muscles. maybe she isn’t y/n, but they can try.
“woo-jin, look. do you think that is her? y/n?” he asked, cutting off his friend. woo-jin looked at the picture, than at the girl, than at the picture again, and the girl again.
“honestly, how could we know if we don’t ask her?” woo-jin smiled, just as he always does when he’s in some doubtful situation. they began to walk behind the girl. she wore earphones. woo-jin went to tap her shoulder, but when he touched her shoulder, the girl turned around, grabbing woo-jin’s wrist to keep him still so she could punch him in the face, gun-woo hurried to stand beside woo-jin. the girl took out the earphones with her free hand.
“what the fuck do you want from me?” she asked, looking up from under her eyebrows, looking from one second to another at each of them, like she waited for some attack. she really was a pro, gun-woo said to himself. gun-woo had to admit that she was quite pretty. not like pretty girls from clubs or his high school and university, or the nurses at the marine, but some pretty girl that his mother would like to date him. he bent deep down.
“we are sorry to disturb you, but we have a question. we don’t mean harm, we don’t intend to hurt you” he said fast, and the girl let go woo-jin after looking at the guy, and making sure he nodded. the girl turned, pointing to one of the restaurants.
“can we talk while i eat? i just came out from training, i’m starving.” woo-jin and gun-woo nodded, following the girl.
“so, what did you want to ask?” the girl began eating. woo-jin looked at gun-woo, who watched her dainty fingers grabbing the utensils. he sighed and took out the photo, placing it down to the table so the girl could see, she stopped eating instantly. pulling up her eyebrows, she distanced from the table a little bit. before any of the guys could talk, the girl began to speak fast and stark. “are you from the police? the secret service or some fucking spy-bullshit? what the fuck do you want from me? it doesn’t matter, i shouldn't talk to any of you, i’m not gonna do this shit. how did you get this photo of me?” gun-woo wanted to talk, but the anger in her eyes made his mouth shut. “doesn't matter, i hope i'll never see you again.” she began to pick up her things. gun-woo thought about hyeon-ju, sir choi, her mother, and the ugliest guy that beat him up that night in the coffee shop.
“we just want to ask you about your name,” he spoke clear. “we’re just curious if you’re y/n or not. anyway, my name is gun-woo, and he’s woo-jin.”
“yeah, why? you probably know this because you have every information about me.” she replied, her chest rising and falling a little bit faster than usual.
“no, we don’t. we… so, well… we know a man who’s name is sir choi. and her granddaughter… her granddaughter told us to meet you.”
y/n looked around herself, like checking if someone else was there as a spy or some third wheeler, but when everybody was lazily chomping down on their dinner, being on their phone with some boring video or tweet, she slowly sat back down. sir choi’s name moved something in her, because she leaned closer to the guys.
“if that’s what about i think it is about, then this is some serious shit. really, maybe the most serious shit in seoul’s money and business history, so if you truly mean sir choi’s name, than i really recommend you two to turn around and walk away from all of this. understood?” gun-woo sighed.
“i think that i’m deeper in this than i wanted to”, he replied, the girl looked at him from under her lashes.
“what do you mean? is this about loans?” gun-woo nodded, the girl looked up to the ceiling, sighing, letting out a long whisper of swearings. “then we aren't talking about the price of my dinner, aren't we?”
“we don't talk about money, we talk about catching the men who are behind this.” woo-jin continued, y/n looked up at him, smiling sadly.
“i hope that you are alright in the head, so you can understand that this is nearly impossible.”
“it is not, believe us. we gonna find a man who’s in contact with them.” y/n sighed, looked to the side, looking at her phone.
“how can i trust you two? really, anyone can talk to me about this, anyone who took loans from the old man.” “we found this photo of you in sir choi’s office.”
“you two? how did you get into sir choi’s office? not even his closest people could get there.” gun-woo looked at woo-jin, sighing.
“well, not us, but his granddaughter. her name is hyeon-ju, we are her so-called bodyguards.”
“i don’t know anyone who’s name is hyeon-ju. so, summing up, not sir choi, but his granddaughter wants to talk to me? why?”
woo-jin looked at gun-woo. “can we talk a little bit?”
“sure.” y/n responded, turning back to her food. woo-jin gulped.
“should we tell her about the plan? yang jae-myeong? but what if hyeon-ju wants to tell her this?”
“i think she would understand it better if we told her. she doesn't know who we are, and sir choi’s name means something to her, but in this case, sir choi doesn't know about our mission.” woo-jin shrugged his shoulder, turning back to y/n.
“it’s about catching a man who’s in connection with the loan-sharks, and the one smile capital. since hyeon-ju told us to find you, we think that you’d be interested to catch these guys.”
“this is real, they have some repayments for me.” gun-woo somehow knew that this wasn't about money, but how could he ask when they knew each other for two hours?
“so, are you in it, or not?” woo-jin leaned forward, offering his hand for a handshake. y/n pointed up her forefinger.
“one talk. only one session with hyeon-ju, and then i decide whether i'm in or not.” she stated, woo-jin and gun-woo nodded, while they smiled lightly. looking at each other, they shared the ‘we made it’-look, making the girl scrunch her eyebrows. “okay then, where and when should we meet tomorrow? i guess this can't wait, if that’s so important that you found me.” y/n brushed her hair behind her ear, gun-woo didn’t miss the tattoos on her fingers, and the
“maybe… tomorrow at noon? here, in front of this restaurant.” gun-woo offered, the girl nodded.
“deal. see you guys tomorrow!” she said as she stood up, gun-woo stood up too. he didn't know why, he just felt that he needed to accompany the girl, no matter where she went home.
“wait, y/n!” the girl turned around, woo-jin looked at him like he had some shock or something. “where… where do you go home?”
‘to yongsan, and you?” she asked, gun-woo’s eyes lighted up.
“me too. would you mind if i… so, maybe we can go home together?” he asked, hoping that the girl wouldn't mind.
“yes, we can. goodbye, woo-jin!” she answered easily, bidding goodbye to the guy beside gun-woo. after she went out of the door, woo-jin began to lap gun-woo’s back.
“aye, gun-woo! did little y/n just trickle some love into your heart?” he asked grinning, gun-woo shook his head.
“no, it’s just… what if she gets into trouble at night? it’s dangerous.” gun-woo answered innocently, making woo-jin do a little ‘tsk’ in the corner of his mouth.
“by her grabbing on my wrist before he almost punched me to death, the one who needs protection is me!” woo-jin dramatized the situation, pointing at his wrist.
“she didn’t do anything, and she won’t again. she seems… peaceful.”
“yeah, well, stopped beating me because she found his prince.” woo-jin continued the teasing by adding some eyelash flutter that girls do when they find someone really handsome, making gun-woo roll his eyes. “okay, well, just go. and tell me everything when you get home. or… if you haul up at hers. or i hope that your house has thick walls and your mother doesn’t mind the constant whining noise!” he giggled, having fun. he could tease his friend forever, now that this girl was in the picture.
“woo-jin-ah! don’t do this!” gun-woo replied, making woo-jin laugh.
“okay, okay! have fun, and bring her too! don’t forget to ask for her phone number!”
“goodnight, woo-jin.”
stepping out into the chilly night air, y/n waited for him. they began to walk to the bus station. gun-wo thought about what he should ask from her. family? no, that's too personal, and they just met today. he wasn’t good with girl stuff, only had one girlfriend and she dumped him after two months, when he applied to the marine.
“so, since when do you box?” she asked, making gun-woo looking at her wondering.
“how… how did you know that i box?” y/n snapped with her tongue, looking at him. she had pretty eyes, and although her mask was on, she seemed like this was the easiest question in her entire life.
“when your friend grabbed my shoulder, his grip was firm, his palms are not too big, but they are strong. he lifted his other arm, just in case he needed to protect himself. i think i even saw your friend on the tv. you two are muscular, it can be seen from under jackets, but your legs’ aren't as muscular as your torso. in other martial arts, you need to train your legs too, to kick as strong as you can, but in boxing, you only use your arms. oh, and bodyguards are most of the time professional agents, but you two are young. or am i wrong?”
gun-woo didn’t know how to respond, he wanted to tell her how cool it was to deduce what they did, just from looking at them.
“no, you are right. and… hyeon-ju told us that you are a pro in many martial arts, so… since when do you train?”
“since my childhood. it’s not that difficult, many movements and styles are similar.”
“did you fight competitively? like, in championships?”
y/n shook her head.
“no. only in gyms, i don’t like championships. you can get burned out easily. but i guess, since you asked that, you do championships. what is it like?”
gun-woo smiled under his mask. y/n was really cute as she asked about him. otherwise, maybe he could never tell her these things. he wasn’t a man of words, and only a few times he knew what to say.
“you would like it, really much. before covid, the arenas were filled with people, and the energies, the mood was really high and good.”
y/n hummed as they got on the bus, sitting beside each other. gun-woo protested that he should sit on the outer seat, and as y/n didn’t sense any dangers from him, she accepted and sat down.
“i hope that this hyeon-ju girl is cool, because i had some cat fights with others in the last weeks. girl fight in the gyms, you know.”
“cat fights? with girls?”
“yeah, but it wasn't so serious, i wondered where all the girls were, who'd ripped each other apart. a year ago, those fights were brutallic, like some freaking mma-cage fight, and now… at there, we say about these lazy gym-championships that there were no claws, but only strokes.”
gun-woo snickered.
“and these gym fights, do they pay well? or… do you work somewhere?”
the girl looked at him, scanning him from bottom to top while leaning to the glass window, leaning on her elbow, tilting her head. “you don’t look like a drinker, so i don’t think we would meet at my workplace.”
“you're a bartender? woo-jin would like this! he likes to drink, sometimes, always saying how good he can bear alcohol.”
y/n laughed.
“yeah, he looks like the typical tough guy who grew up on the bad side of the river, but when the two of you constantly looked at each other, i knew that he’s just as rookie as you.”
“yeah, that’s right. we began to work recently at sir choi, we are his granddaughter’s, hyeonju’s bodyguards. but she said she don’t need bodyguards.”
“but if she doesn’t need you, then how did you stay?”
gun-woo sighed.
“i… i begged for her to stay. i have a debt to work off to sir choi.”
“oh, so you work down the loan sir choi gave you, and this is the way you are affected personally by these loans?”
gun-woo thought about that night. when in-beom beat him up, when the boss threatened him not to call the police because his mother would end up dead, when he felt like he can’t do anything. looking at y/n, he didn’t want this girl to get involved in this business. gulping, gun-woo nodded.
“yeah. my mother too.”
“you work for your mother and her protection? you take life danger upon yourself so that she doesn't get hurt?” y/n asked, pulling together her eyebrows.
“we could say so.”
y/n sighed, looking forward, leaning back on the seat. looking at her hands, picking at the tattoos she had on her fingers. after a few seconds, she bent closer to gun-woo. she had dauntlessness and bravery in her eyes, without a blink of her eyelashes. her lashes were longer than usual, giving her the attitude on the outside as on the inside. pressing the get-off button of the bus, she gathered her bag in her lap.
“i understand it now. in this case, count me in, too.”
gun-woo looked at her.
“why? you doesn’t even know what is this about, this is serious danger, y/n.”
y/n shrugged her shoulders as gun-woo let her out from her seat, as they stood, y/n gave her a piece of paper.
“because it’s personal for me, too. see you tomorrow, gun-woo.”
gun-woo bent deep down as the bus stopped.
“thanks, y/n, for talking to us, and not beating up woo-jin.”
y/n giggled, and bent slightly down too.
“thank you for giving me an opportunity.”
as she got off, gun-woo sat back, folding out the paper. it was her number, they didn’t even ask for her number and she gave it to him! on the paper, there was a little message too.
show this to hyeon-ju. you guys forget everything. make sure she notes my number. and don’t worry, we are going to figure this out, one way… or another. y/n.

5 KDramas to Watch if You Want to See Female Villains in Action
There are three main elements to make a Kdrama worth watching - the main leads, the execution of the storyline and the villains. You can’t deny the fact that villains like Jung Joon Ho and Imoogi have made the courses of the dramas even more exciting and enthralling to watch. Villains have sometimes made us hate them with all of our hearts, sometimes they silently secured a place in it (just like Jung Guen Won from Itaewon Class).
When it comes to Kdrama villains, they are mostly male but that doesn’t mean Korean Industry has not gifted us some of the cruelest and toughest female villains. And if you are yet to enjoy one of these bone-chilling female villains of Kdrama, then you are at the right place because today we have brought 5 deadliest yet underrated female villains for you to enjoy.
1. Park Yeon Jin - The Glory
Tumblr media
There is hardly anyone who has not watched The Glory yet. The drama deals with sensitive themes like high school bullying, abuse of power and money, infidelity and so on. And when a drama is mainly dark themed, the actors playing these dark roles need to be talented enough to pull the roles perfectly without leaving any loopholes. Lim Ji Yeon here plays the role of Park Yeon Jin, who is the leader of the bully group. She is a spoiled teen brat, who abuses her power and money to get away with her wrong doings. She constantly bullies Moon Dong Eun, pushes another student from the rooftop, kills one of her notorious friends, cheats on her husband and what not. She has all the ill-qualities that will make you hate her from the core of your heart. But her character and Lim Ji Yeon’s ability to blend with the role, makes the drama much more enjoyable and thrilling. So, if you have not watched it, you should give it a try but proceed with caution since there are triggering concepts.
2. Choi Myeong Hee - Vincenzo
Tumblr media
Everything I try to write about Choi Myeong Hee will fall short. The way we all wanted to kill her while watching Vicenzo is proof of the ability of Kim Yeo Jin in portraying this evil lawyer, who is also Jung Joon Ho’s ally. She’s nasty, she is evil, she is cruel, even her accent will tick you off very badly. But we have to admit to the fact that the drama would not be as marvelous as it is without her character in it. She constantly commits many wrong deeds only to gain more and more power. However, we must admit that we all have been quite impressed by her zumba dancing skills anyway.
3. Cha Moon Suk - Lawless Lawyer
Tumblr media
The character of Cha Moon Suk is the perfect example of two-faced. This Lawless Lawyer villain appears to be all noble and caring but she is actually corrupt and greedy. Lee Hye Young plays the role of a senior judge, who secretly runs a corrupt charity and spares absolutely no one who comes in her way. She doesn’t even hesitate to kill her dear friend nor does she show mercy for her long-time right hand man Ahn Oh Joo. She’s driven by her greed and can do anything to attain more power and money. In my personal opinion, her character and awesome screenplay is probably the only thing that makes the drama worth watching, as for me, both of the main leads could have portrayed themselves a lot better.
4. Kang So Young - School 2015
Tumblr media
Here comes another bully, Kang So Young from School 2015. Cha Soo Hyang plays this character of this spoiled teenager Kang So Young who finds great pleasure in bullying her orphan classmate, Eun Bi. Her bullying goes so far that Eun Bi is pushed to the verge of death. However, Kang So Young feels no remorse. As the drama goes, she gets even more evil as she does not show any sign of leaving Eun Bi alone. She does not even regret her choices and uses her parent’s power to get away with everything. However, at the end of the drama she reflects upon her choices and apologies to Eun Bi. But that does not mean her character is easily forgiven, am I right?
5. Choi Yoo Jin - The K2
Tumblr media
Here comes our last and my personal favorite pick, Choi Yoo Jin from The K2. Even though Yoo Jin’s character is not the villain but an antagonist, still she is a deserving candidate for this list. Song Yoon Ah plays the role of Choi Yoo Jin, who is a woman of mid 40s, she is also a daughter from a chaebol family but is disinherited. Her father disowned her because she married a politician. And guess what, that same husband, goes behind her back every night and cheats on her on a daily basis. She is also the CEO of JSS Security, which is responsible for her presidential candidate husband’s security. Her character certainly makes some bad choices, such as separating her step-daughter from her husband and using her constantly to blackmail the man, but she is the one to hurt the most as well.
Even though her relationship with her family and husband is dianted and she is mostly used for money, she gives her everything to keep his husband’s image spotless. She grows a fondness, dare I say romantic feelings, for Kim Je Ha (Ji Chang Wook) but that too is quickly shut down as the main female lead comes into the picture. All in all, she may seem to be an evil woman but she actually is a victim of fate and betrayal, which is understandable. Song Yoon Ah’s incredible acting and her on screen chemistry with Ji Chang Wook is one of the primary reasons why you should watch the drama if you have not already.
That was all for today, we will come with another recommendation post, sooner than you think.

Hear me out
Atty Jung being worried about Suyeon and calling Youngwoo to 'Woah woah' Su yeon when she has the public interest case because he knows Suyeon likes Youngwoo are friends. Instead of Minwoo, who is an emotional-less spineless snake and would treat the case practically. But he remembers that Suyeon doesn't like Minwoo (because she refuses to try out wedding dresses with him in ep 8)
Atty Jung staying out of Geurami's inheritance and letting her take the lead but being involved in the North Korean defector case because Suyeon wants to fight the case. Atty Jung taking the blame on himself for losing billions of won and not letting anyone say anything to Suyeon (it was her idea afterall).
Atty Jung looking at Suyeon during the court trials while Youngwoo is explaining the chat and breaking into giggles.
Atty Jung watching Suyeon comfort Youngwoo after the victim's mother yelled at her and getting his heartbeat fast because he's so mesmerized at just how lovely Suyeon is.
Atty Jung and Suyeon only sitting next to each other in the cafeteria or in the Seodokdang bench beneath the tree
Atty Jung being in love with Suyeon, watching her in that white outfit and hearing her say she wants to aggressively date a good guy
Atty Jung knowing Suyeon stays in the office and works late and not leaving himself choosing to sleep in his office.
Atty Jung and Suyeon falling in love ❤️

I don't know why.. But every time I'm thinking of people with tattoos, I would think of someone covered in tattoos. Or have bigger tattoos on their bodies, not small tattoos. But small tattoos are still tattoos.
Maybe that's why. Because I kept thinking of more noticeable tattoos instead of unnoticeable tattoos. I don't know. But that might be why.
When it comes to people like Rocky and Cobra... Imagine their friends thinking they are really trying to blackmail them by taking pictures, or videos, or something when their getting their hair dyed. But then a lot of women start gushing about how attractive these men are since the guys take care of their appearances. More blackmail backfired again.
~
Don't get me wrong. Every antagonist in the series, I would have even wanted them to die excruciating deaths - especially with Myeong and Inbeom. Who doesn't want them dead. But Gun-woo and Woo-jin just have no problems fighting people, but they aren't murders. And that's the same with Ju too. You saw how uncomfortable she was whenever they had to torture someone for information. She is not fine with that level of violence. And neither were Gun and Jin either. And! And... Not to forget. If Gun and Jin actually killed someone, that would make the boys crimials and you won't be able to continue boxing if you become a criminal. Like Yang and Lee said. But if they do open a business that is similar to Choi's business, they may fight but no murdering people.
~
"A total of 168 golden bars, weighing seven kilograms each. Each one is worth 500 million won at spot price. About 84 billion in total."
So they each got about a billion in gold? Since they each got two gold bars. And regardless, Gun-woo would've always share his money with his mother anyway. Like in the boxing tournament, Gun-woo took out enough money for him and Jin to eat at the buffet but the rest of that money was for their café. And yeah! I know Jin loves money but never was that greedy. So, just like Gun, he wanted to repay Choi back after everything he did for him. But I still can't help thinking the first scene, when they were in the bookstore, Gun and Jin realized that the books had money inside. A part of me thought Jin was going to try keeping that money, but a part of me knew that he wasn't that type of person.
That's what I thought! That these boys could finally have their ribeye.. But how expensive is ribeye in Korea? Is it that expensive that they're not able to get this meal. Because their prices might be different than what it would be like in America, Australia, or European, or anywhere.
Until I hear official news about shows, including Bloodhounds, then.. I might be in this neutral denial until I have actually heard official news. Preferably from someone in the cast or crew mentioning any news on if the show is continuing. So I try not to listen to articles about this.
I would love to see more roles of Dohwan and Sangyi together again.
~
I know! I know being attracted to men is only visual... Not at all sexual, romantic, or any of those reasons. I know that. Half the time I'd forget that because of the comments that are said about men, celebrities or characters - depending on who were talking about at that moment.
And I do try reigning in my commentary, even though it never seems like I do. I don't know if my commentary ever bothered you though.
But men, women, attractive people for everyone!
Attractive men with battle scars are still attractive. At least with those boys anyway. But they're always pretty, regardless of any battle scars.
Maybe because women can be vindictive? I don't know. Maybe since men care more about their balls than anyone or anything else in life, I would easy that it's a lot easier to threat men by crushing their balls.
~
Yeah... Because of how frequently I keep track over certain celebrities in Korean, fans are really going to be bound to hear about the military services at some point. And since Asian countries like Korean are just very traditional in a mostly conservative way, any military services are for the men. Women join voluntarily. And depending on which faction you sign up for, depends on how long you'd be in the military too.
South Korean Army and Marines is 21 months, the Navy is 23 months, and the Air Force is 24.
Remember that Gun-woo, Woo-jin, Moon and Yang were marines so I would say that were in their military services for almost two years.
Actually! More trivia... Bloodhounds was actually Do-hwan Woo's first production project after he was released from his military services.
And don't really quote me on this, I believe Sang-yi Lee may have had his military services before he officially took a career in entertainment too. At least he was was discharged as a duty police officer, before he became an actor though. He completed his military duty in the police department. So now we don't have to worry about those two guys.
The first time Choi officially met Ju was at her father's funeral. And... I think it was mentioned she was seven, maybe eight, around that time they met. And Ju's younger than Gun-woo and Woo-jin, that was also mentioned a few times in the show. The actress is born in 2000. But I don't know how close in age Ju and Da-min might be in the show just because they never officially mention their ages. But we do know that Gun is twenty-five, and Jin is twenty-seven. If that helps with ages.
So being Mr. Oh's granddaughter, she was either just a young child or even a baby during his time working at Choi's loan shark business.
I did research about this. "Students usually start in archery as part of an elementary school program, and continue in middle school." And it makes sense. There were archers in All Of Us Are Dead, and the show takes place in high school. And the archery girl mentioned that she is trying to get a scholarship in college for archery. Something like that.
Maybe Lee could also teach her how to use an asp too, just like Ju, in the training montage. Asps are concealable batons. Like Ju used, and also the White Rascals used too. Those are examples of asp weapons.
Not that you have to do that.
~
That similar to what I was doing.. Kind of. Since my character has this very similar shade of brown hair like Jin's hair. She was possibly going to be a brunette before dying her hair dark blue, and possibly turn the colors into another color by the time skip. Maybe that silvery color? In that picture I sent you with black shirt and gloves. But not too similar, especially since the colors for our characters are completely different.
when i think ‘tattooed’ i think like, very visibly tattooed. like big noticeable tattoos. not lil ones. i mean, i like little tattoos too, but if someone goes ‘that person has tattoos!’ im imagining like. something big. i can’t really talk tho, i’ve got one tattoo and it’s only about 2.5 inches in width and length. (it’s a bee! 🐝!) (because i’m a les-bee-an) (kidding! it’s because they’re my second favourite animal)
i think cobra and rocky would be more embarrassed at being gushed over more than being exposed for dyeing their hair. let girls fluster them with compliments. or cobra at least. i dont imagine it’s easy to fluster rocky.
~
myeong and inbeom, get shanked in prison please. stab stab. you will not be missed. luckily gun and jin have/had people who are willing to do the torture part of them; first yang and lee, then their military senior. despite jin and gun also being military, i can’t imagine them using torture tactics, even in just a threatening way. hell, gun couldn’t even speak disrespectfully to jae myeong who objectively sucks. they will fight, but they won’t torture or kill.
~
i imagine gun’s mum would try to decline the money like she did the first time, but gun would insist. that’s his mum! he wants her to live well and without debt! inwas also worried if jin might steal the money, but it seems like he was just excited about seeing that much money and the possibility of getting a job under someone so rich. he’s an excitable boy, not a thief.
beef is one of the most expensive meats in korea iirc. high demand but low supply. i think korea has one of the highest prices for beef in the world. price per 1kg of beef in korea is comparable to about $56 usd, the same amount is about $15 in america. at least that’s what the site i went on said.
~
i dont mind the commentary! love talking about people and reading how other people define their attractions.
battle scars are cool! i wish in more action stuff, people actually had scars after the huge fights their in. like i saw you get stabbed and slashed and shot, give me the visible scars!
women know it’s their most sensitive spot and if they’re pissed enough or need information desperately enough, they’d be happy to see the destruction of balls, stomp em stab em cut em off. meanwhile guys usually treat it as the line you don’t cross.
~
ive been imagining da min, ju and bi at around 22-24ish. i know ju has to be older than 19 because she was drinking alcohol, but younger than 27 because she told jin that ‘the oldest has to pay for younger people’. and i just figured she was younger than gun too.
i’m thinking da min was a baby at the time of choi closing his business and then 6-8 by the time that choi’s clients were killing themselves over being threatened by myeong’s people.
so da min possibly started archery in elementary school and continued through to her time in high school. maybe working for choi was a fallback if she failed to get a scholarship.
i don’t know that i’d have bi use an asp, but da min maybe? i’m trying to keep them balanced in strengths so they’re not too overpowered. like jin and gun are good with their fists but not that good with weapons/guns. so da min would be good with her bow and taser but otherwise bad up-close in a fight; and bi’s a good combatant and has her knives but isn’t good with guns.
~
i think she’d be blonde in her first intro in ep4, then dyed it blue by the time she shows up to help with moving the money. then the blue’s faded and she has a lil bit of regrowth after the timeskip. da min also gets to keep her pink chunks because i like it.
~
i was wondering what i was going to watch next because i finished bloodhounds and informa (enjoyed informa a lot, is set up to potentially have a season season yay!), but then i remembered worst of evil just came out and it’s got three episodes!!! can bounce between that and vincenzo probably

No worries about foreign pitchers missing two weeks…
A foreign pitcher's start was pushed back, but no worries. This is a completely different starting lineup for the LG Twins.
LG has practically been relying on a foreign one-two punch, Im Chan-kyu, and a strong bullpen. The Korean fourth and fifth starters have been underwhelming. Through seven days, LG has played 94 games, with Plutko leading the team as an ace with an 11-2 record and 2.33 ERA in 18 games, while Kelly has had his share of shaky outings, but has appeared in a team-high 21 games with a 7-5 record and 4.63 ERA. After starting the season in long relief, Lim quickly moved back into the starting rotation, going 8-2 with a 3.03 ERA in 16 starts. The trio combined for a 26-9 record and a 3.42 ERA in 55 games.
Other pitchers, including Kim Yun-sik, Lee Min-ho, Kang Hyo-jong, Lee Sang-young, Lee Jung-yong, Lee Ji-gang, and Choi Won-tae, had a combined starting record of 5-14 with a 5.28 ERA in 39 games. While most teams are worried about their 4.5 starters in Korea, LG's unreliability in the fourth and fifth innings is a critical weakness for a championship contender. Naturally, it's better for LG to have Plutko and Kelly on the mound.
However, recently, Plutko has missed about two weeks since July 25 against the KT Wiz due to a COVID-19 confirmation. He is scheduled to start against the Gwangju KIA Tigers on the 8th. Kelly was also hit in the right arm by Song Sung-moon's bat in the first inning against the Jamsil Kiwoom on July 3. He suffered a bruise and will be given a week's rest.
Last week, LG made one start with Plutko out and five starts with Korean pitchers. There were concerns, but it worked. Choi Won-tae filled the void left by the foreign pitchers, while Lee Jung-yong and Lee Ji-gang continued to improve.
Choi, who came to LG in a three-for-three trade that included Shin In-myeong, earned the win on July 30 with six innings of two-hit ball against Doosan in Jamsil. On July 5, he took the loss at Daegu Samsung Electronics, giving up six runs on nine hits in five innings, but he's not worried.
Lee recorded his first quality start since making the switch to the starting rotation on the 2nd with six innings of three-hit, no walks and four strikeouts against Jamsil Kiwoom. Lee Ji-gang also pitched the most innings since his debut, allowing two runs on four hits (one home run) and one walk in 5⅔ innings against Daegu Samsung Electronics on the 4th. He was able to go five innings after improving as a starter. On Tuesday, he pitched 5⅔ innings of two-run ball against Kiwoom, and on Sunday, he pitched five innings of one-run ball against Samsung Electronics in Daegu, fulfilling the role of a domestic ace. Samsung Electronics was in the midst of a two-game losing streak after winning seven in a row, so he fulfilled the important role of breaking the losing streak.
From Choi Won-tae on July 30 to Im Chan-gyu on July 8, Korean pitchers pitched at least five innings in six consecutive games. It was the first time this year.
This week, without Kelly, the four Korean starters will take the field for a six-game series against the KIA Tigers and Kiwoom Heroes. The worry is greatly reduced. The improved performance of the Korean starters has greatly reduced my anxiety.
LG's starting baseball is also getting better. It's a big boost for LG, which needs to defend its top spot. 먹튀검증

Jeonnam Women's Award, 'BTS J-Hope Scholarship' delivered in 2023
In 2019, BTS J-Hope donated 100 million won in scholarships to his alma mater foundation Atotal of 5 million won in scholarships was awarded to 10 students each year, a total of 25 million won
Tumblr media
On the 23rd, Jeonnam Girls' Commercial High School held the 'BTS J-Hope Scholarship' award ceremony at the Wooju Dongin Hall on campus and delivered scholarships and scholarship certificates.
According to the Jeonnam Women's Award on the 25th, BTS member J-Hope (real name Jeong Ho-seok), who was born in Gwangju in 2019, donated 100 million won in scholarships to his alma mater, International High School Foundation, Chuntae Academy, through the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation. 'J-Hope Scholarship' is paid over 5 years, and this 5th year scholarship is 1 to 10 students (5 in 1st year, 3 in 2nd year, 2 in 3rd year) with excellent academic performance and good behavior. They paid 500,000 won each. A total of 50 students have received J-Hope scholarships so far, with a cumulative total of KRW 25 million.
Eunbi Jeong (18), a sophomore who was selected as the scholarship student that day, expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am happy to receive the great gift of the BTS J-Hope Scholarship,” adding, “It served as a driving force to move forward toward my goal in difficult times.” .
Choi Gyu-myeong, principal of Jeonnam Women's High School, said, "We will provide various educational opportunities and scholarship benefits to students who are passionate about their studies so that they can burn their will to find a job and realize their dreams."
On the other hand, Jeonnam Girls' Commercial High School expands and promotes scholarship programs every year for students who have a strong will to study but have poor family circumstances.
Last year, scholarships worth 120 million KRW were given to 82 students, including the Faculty Student Love Scholarship, KT&G Sangsang Scholarship, Lottery Fund Dream Ladder Scholarship, and Samsung Dream Scholarship.
Thanks to various scholarships, the graduates of Jeonnam Women's Award in February of this year received 7 government officials of the 9th grade (cumulative 50), public institutions (Bank of Korea, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, SH Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation, Private School Teachers and Staff Pension Corporation, Korea Railroad Corporation, etc.) ) and the financial sector (KB Kookmin Bank, Korea Investment Savings Bank, Lotte Insurance, etc.)

Moon Chae-won woke up after being stabbed with a weapon..
Tumblr media
Moon Chae-won of 'Bob' woke up.
On the afternoon of the 27th, in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Beopjeon', the scene of Moon Chae-won, who was hospitalized after being hit by a weapon, regained consciousness was broadcast.
On this day, Eun-yong (Lee Seon-gyun), who handed over the information to Hong Hanna (Kim Hye-hwa), started a reverse operation, saying that he would hit short sellers with grass. When Eun-yong thought about Chairman Myeong's (Kim Hong-pa) choice, Hanna Hong said, "I'm sure," and when asked about Jang Tae-chun (Kang Yoo-seok), she said, "I couldn't contact him for a while, but he borrowed money a few days ago."
Hearing from Nam (Choi Deok-moon) that Kim Seong-tae's (Lee Geon-myung) gang seems to be dealing drugs, Jang Tae-chun set foot in a gambling house.
While investigating Yoo Chang-hae undercover, the police found Jang Tae-choon following him. Jang Tae-choon, whose identity was discovered by Kim Seong-tae's gang, was in danger of being arrested, and the police were dispatched to rescue him. Let each of us do our duty. The police are at the scene and the prosecutor is in court.”
In response to Jang Tae-chun's apology, the police said, "Lee Jin-ho (Won Hyeon-jun), who is wanted, I am aware of the intelligence that he is being supplied with drugs. go to the hospital Park Joon-kyung (Moon Chae-won) is back in consciousness.”

I am super interested and really looking forward to your bloodhounds fic!
Would you be ok sharing a bit about the plot?
ahhh thank you for the interest and sending me this ask!! *flails* Honestly speaking, there isn’t much of a plot yet /o\
I just thought what if Myeong-gil didn’t let Gun-woo go so easily in the beginning, not letting him pay back the money as part of some twisted cat and mouse game; he wants Gun-woo to eventually come crawling on his knees begging to work for him. Also what if Gun-woo felt guilty about tipping Yang Jae-myeong off to the fact that he’s being tailed etc. and decided to take responsibility for it by working for Myeong-gil? (Woo-jin ofc tags along because like hell he's going to let this kid jump into the shark tank alone!) The rest would be power and mind games between them as Myeong-gil tries to break him, but also rewards him for choosing to work for him after all. There is bound to be plenty of friction since Gun-woo isn’t willing to work as a real bloodhound or hurt other people, though he might be willing to work as Myeong-gil’s bodyguard. Aside from the power struggles, Myeong-gil would treat Gun-woo really well too as one of his own; he’d make sure no one would touch him or his mother ever again. Maybe he’d make similar promises along the lines of what Mr. Choi promised Gun-woo in canon too: saying he’d give Gun-woo his own private boxing studio and buy his mom a new café, no rent for life. I can see him wining and dining him as well, buying him that rib eye Gun-woo always wants to eat! He’d be fascinated and infatuated by Gun-woo, treat him as an equal for the most part, and Gun-woo would be curious about him in his own way too. He wouldn’t be immune to being treated so well and like something special either, and as Myeong-gil confides in him more and more, seeming to trust him and show him more of his vulnerable side, revealing tidbits of his past, Gun-woo would start to care for him too. Maybe even fall for him. He’d start to feel conflicted, torn between the family he found with Hyeon-ju, Mr. Choi and the others - and Myeong-gil (not to mention that their morals are never going to align)… The hardest part is trying to figure out a way for all of this not to end in complete tragedy!
Here’s a snippet from chapter one (it’s growing longer and longer like the scar convo lol):
Warnings: mention of alcoholism and past domestic violence, description of blood and gore
__
He’s wringing his hands again; a habit from his mother. He learned it from watching her. She always did it when she was nervous and Father came home wrapped in an ozone-sharp cloud of alcohol and anger. It’s why he doesn’t drink, why he’s deathly afraid of even tasting a lick of liquor, aside from it being part of his strict diet as a boxer. He rubs and rubs his knuckles until the skin is raw. He does that a lot nowadays.
It’s easy to sink down to his knees and beg, easier than it would have been before, he thinks.
Before the back-breaking weight of one hundred million won, larger than any debt they’d ever had before and which he would have never been able to pay no matter how many part-time jobs he did; before his mom’s café was smashed to bits and pieces by those thugs and they dared to touch her, his mom, his poor, innocent mom who has never done anything wrong or hurt anyone, who has only ever been hurt, slamming her head down on the table and putting that familiar look of fear in her eyes the way he’d never let anyone do again after Father; before that smiling bastard walked into the store and into their lives, forever etching that horrible, nightmarish night into his face and his mind.
He hates it. He hates how there are two parts of his life now: a before, and after Kim Myeong-gil.
When Hyeon-ju sighs, suggesting that he go to her harabeoji and ask him to lend more money to him since Smile Capital didn’t let him pay back the loan, demanding more instead, the way those bloodsuckers always do, he only shakes his head.
“I don't want to bother Mr. Choi again or take advantage of his kindness. He’s already helped me and my mom plenty, more than enough… and it’s not money that the boss of Smile Capital wants.”
“Then what does he want from you?”
He thinks about how the man leaned down to lap at the open gash on his cheek, warm tongue gliding over raw nerve endings and open flaps of skin while he was barely conscious, eyes open but wild and unseeing, in shock and finely trembling all over, fingers twitching against the ground like the legs of a dying spider.
He hasn’t told Woo-jin, one of the few things he hasn’t told his hyung about, something like shame twisting in his stomach, hot and acid-sour and writhing; serpentine and many-legged and velvety-soft, like the inside of a mouth or the edge of a bruise-purple almost gangrene-black coat sliding over his split knuckles. The way he leaned into it, and into that mouth, because it was the only part of him that wasn’t hurting; that wasn’t sheer, pure, mindless agony.
His lips tremble and he doesn’t answer, unable to.
