#challengeaccepted Thank you @clementinedelauney for the nomination for the #womensupportingwomen movement ❤️ I won’t lie, I already encountered tons of frustrating situations in my very young career. The worst is probably being compared to other women in a competitive way. To be put in the boxing ring: “round one, FIGHT”. Everyone needs to understand that this isn’t a competition where you have to be the last one standing. There are plenty of spots at the top and only dedication and passion can buy you one. The game is already tough, there is no need to create imaginary enemies to make it harder. It often feels like as women, we have to work five times harder before we are finally considered for what we do. In the case of the music scene, to prove that we are not just a nice addition on stage. That sometimes we are also doing the hard work offstage and that YES, we can carry the drum kit (so tired of that joke by the way…). I also often felt taken for granted by people who thought that I depended on them. Not happening anymore. I guess getting out of this starts with the acknowledgment of your own value and strengths, focusing on all the things that make you proud of yourself and feel strong. Realising what you bring to the world and transmit this superpower to people around you. Also, using this self-confidence to draw your own boundaries. Fortunately, this is changing in the right direction and OF COURSE, there are plenty of good people, men and women, who believe in equality, love and respect. It feels so good to connect with someone who is on the same path or showed you the way. Imperdible: Visions Of Atlantis en El Teatrito

Como es costumbre, el metal nunca se toma descanso en nuestro país. El imperdible show de Visions Of Atlantis en El Teatrito el próximo sábado 09 de febrero será uno de los que marquen otro año fructífero para los amantes del género.

Formada en Styria, Austria, en el año 2000, Visions Of Atlantis ha logrado consolidarse con fuerza dentro del panorama metalero. Exponente de las ramas power y sinfónica del heavy metal, posee una inspiración inicial en Nightwish y una derivación lógica (por la combinación de voces masculina y femenina) hacia otros nombres fuertes como Lacuna Coil. 

Desde su disco debut, Eternal Endless Infinity (2002), hasta el día de la fecha, los cambios en su formación han sido difíciles de contabilizar, siendo le histórico baterista Thomas Caser su único miembro fundador aún presente en la formación tanto para las giras como para las grabaciones en el estudio. Si bien el gran cimbronazo sucedió en 2013 debido a cuestiones artísticas, lo cierto es que a través de los años los nombres han pasado y el estilo -orientado al metal clásico- se ha mantenido.

Su más reciente título, The Deep & The Dark (2018), es el retorno a los mitos del antiguo imperio perdido en el océano, siempre dialogando de forma directa con el metal nórdico. La presencia de un talento como el de la cantante francesa Clementine Delauney es garantía de espectáculo, siendo sus momentos de protagonismo -tanto en solitario como compartidos- una verdadera delicia para los amantes del género. 

Además de todos los temas de su nuevo disco, los austriacos realizarán un amplio repaso por el resto de su discografía. Siendo esta su primera visita a la Argentina, aprovecharán para devolverle a sus fanáticos locales todo el apoyo que siempre recibieron a la distancia.
