I like buying the tricolour pasta but I'm always disappointed it all tastes the same so I've tried to make my own tricolour spaghetti that actually tastes different. Currently the green and red are drying and the yellow is waiting to be rolled out. I hope it turns out okay, it took a lot of effort (and veggies!) to make.

The red has confit tomatoes and garlic, roasted red pepper, tomato paste, and basil. The green has spinach, basil, parsley, roasted aubergine, peas, and confit garlic. The yellow is plain egg pasta. It definitely smells nice.

Operation Functional Home: Take Two- Day 2

Had a proper sleep in for the first time in months, was mostly lazy today.

Project of the day was cleaning and organizing the main compartment of my fridge. I bought some of those clear bins for produce, however I will still be utilizing my drawers as my fridge is small.

Top left shelf and drawer is cheese and cooking related dairy.

Top right is leftovers and must go items.

Center is spares/apple ale, the gallon of maple syrup and sides like garlic confit and salsa I will dig for in the back. Front of shelf is either quick perish produce, produce I use often, and a thawing corned beef roast (closest I could get to the bottom of the fridge)

Bottom shelf has all my eggs from my hens on the left, and the snack drawer on the right. The drawer also will hopefully help support the weight of the shelf above.

Crisper drawers have fruit on the left and veggies I have plans for on the right, ie I will go looking for the squash to make bacon sauteed squash. Sharp eyed viewers may spy my fruit dip in with the fruit drawer, I eat it with grapes, if they are together I might actually eat the grapes.

The door is a project for another day, but as it's generally organized with most common items on top shelf, random things I use sometimes in the middle, and wine/cider/herbs on bottom shelf, all I really need to do is check dates/freshness and wipe out the pockets.
