Today was the last day of the challenge. I decided to keep going even though I had a couple of slip-ups, mainly diet related. Even with that part I still was at 94% success with my cheez its and birthday cake I had a couple of times. The old lady change (aka MENOPAUSE) decided to pull up and I'm not able to eat as much because of the related digestive system changes. So today and yesterday, I had one regular meal, one smoothie and when I thought I was going to starve to death, some cheez its because it's all I happened to have in the car 🥴. I don't think I am going to start all over again just yet but there are some aspects that I will continue. I may have to find some AA groups to meet people who have the same struggles as me. I like the outside exercises and drinking a lot more water than before. The diet part and the full hour and a half for workouts was the most challenging part and I didn't love taking pictures of myself either.

Creating power comes from internal and external energy. What many don’t feel is internal power. Funny thing though is that the internal source of power is also connected to all other energy in the world. From experience grounding myself and meditation has helped me reconnect and feel that energy source again.

in dire need of a pilates and barre class that emphasizes the art of movement as elegance instead of the soulless solidcore/corepower chains we have right now... i need to be inspired! i want to workout in a space with white pillars and a rococo ceiling painting ୨୧ to have an instructor implement affirmations of beauty, health, and wellness... having my body sculpted in a high intense class to a song like paris, texas... essentially, wishing there were a studio that could offer a class for romanticist girlies so we could match our baby pink workout sets to the vibes of a place lol ♡

Just a few more days! I'm honestly considering doing the challenge again, mainly to stay on track with my fitness goals and not drinking. I read a lot already, nonfiction included, and I normally drink a lot of water but I enjoyed the outdoors more than I expected. I didn't like walks a whole lot previously but now I'm using that time to catch up with friends on the phone. I also got a little creative with my outdoor activities like I grabbed a step from my apartment gym and did some step aerobics outside by the pool the other night (lovely view). I struggled with keeping my diet 100% vegan. The culprit? Birthday cake. Twice. It's the only thing I had and I feel like I cheated. I would also like to get deeper into plant based foods with less added sugar. If there was one thing that kept me from losing weight, it would have to be sugar and eating my feelings at night. I don't love taking photos of myself either but it'll be interesting to see what has changed.

NEW AT ECLECTICA this month - on the California writer Delicious Tacos.
The nom de plume of an almost certainly muscular straight white male domiciled in or around West Hollywood, Delicious Tacos (DT) made a spicy name for himself offering dating advice to frustrated gents on the capital-I Internet, the way Charles Bukowski made a name for himself doing the same for colicky bums in the stapled mags. Like Bukowski, DT delivers a dangerously lucid fictional version of his barbarous drunken self. A fiction the impressionable male reader, with an underdeveloped sense of context, dares to imitate in real life. Unlike Bukowski's Henry Chinaski, a child of the Great Depression, who, when he arrived in a new town, sought out the poor people section, the Delicious Tacos character, a child of the Reagan/Clinton boom, is a sloppy yet optimized knowledge worker: when DT arrives in a new town, he heads to the Capital One Café across the street from the CorePower, takes a seat at the Warrior 2 window, gets excited by the bubble butts, remembers porn ruined his sexuality, and fires up a new post....
