Last we left our heroes, they were periscoping out of a snow pile and discovered that the omnipotent entity who has unlimited scrying abilities and keeps a Blood Hunter around has shockingly caught up to them! Who knew. 

Episode Digest: 

I feel like they had a good thing going with the tower, but they biffed it. Why didn’t Caleb put up the dome and THEN cast the tower door? Yes, the dome would have dropped the moment he went in, but OTHERS could have gone in ahead of him and could have, perhaps-- 

Well, I’m backseat gaming now so it doesn’t matter.

The thing that’s beginning to creep up on me is the episode number - there are only 20 left! That means that Lucien’s City Planning is the end game of this whole thing. Which means that there are just-- SO many threads left unexplored. Caleb’s Scourger friends and his scheme to kill Ikithon? Fjord’s hunt for Sabien???? Yasha’s tribe?????? 

There’s SO MUCH left to explore! Will they even be level 20 before the game ends? Or will we cut it at 15 or something? I need to know! 

I suppose the good thing about this is that if they DO cut it preemptively, there is room for

This has been the best night watch ever:

-Veth and Caleb had a bittersweet conversation that was beautiful

-Jester and Yasha have a sweet excited conversation about their relationships.

-Then the Brjeus have a much more chaotic conversation about their relationships that ends with the terrible idea of sneaking into the top of the tower.

I love all of this.

Just watched the tarot card reading again and found it interesting how Jester started out like she wasn't sure what she was doing. The rest of the reading was so smooth and well presented. I have a feeling she knew exactly what she was doing. She knows how people like Lucien view her based on first impressions and she used that. She let him believe it was going to be fun and silly and gave him a false sense of security and then she turned around kicked him in the teeth. What an amazing and genuine reaction she was able to glimpse by catching him off guard.

Okay, I just want to say, I find the M9′s resistance against Lucien hilarious, and I have two reasons:

1- Lucien’s a dick, and clearly as we have seen before, the M9 don’t deal well with self-entitled pricks.

2- Obviously this is how they’re going to act. Are you kidding me? This is a group of people of which almost every member has at some point in their lives, have been victims of people or entities trying to control them. I’m sorry Lucien, you need to try harder, this is shit they’ve all seen before and they’re not going to have it.
