could you do a blurb where reader is chad’s passenger princess. i feel like chad would never let reader drive themselves around… and that’s not just because i would die to be his passenger seat princess.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ anon you are so right and let me tell you why
Chad's CD mix!          .·:*¨༺♱༻¨*:·.
Chad is so protective at times; one time, he remembered your sunscreen and brought it with him when you both went on a hike, or that time Chad's reflexes worked faster than his brain, and he caught you before you slipped on some black ice last winter. It's one of the ways he healthily tries to show off his masculinity; 'the open road is too dangerous for an angel like you to drive on', so he would much rather take the risk and drive you everywhere you need to go.
he'd make his passenger's seat comfortable for you too, ordering a neck pillow for the seat, an extra cup holder, and getting CDs of all your favorite albums (because Chad drives a piece of shit 2007 Honda Civic, and the aux outlet doesn't work). Hell, he even ordered a vinyl sticker that said 'passenger princess' skdkjvfdj and he stuck it on the sun visor mirror so you'd be reminded that your his princess every time you fix your mascara after he finger bangs you in a McDonald's drive-thru.
he'd take you to work, then show up fifteen minutes before your shift ends to take you home, skipping the last couple minutes of practice or class. he'd let you go out with your friends but always is around to be your designated driver. if you need to run to Walmart in the middle of the night, you can expect Chad to be up and ready to go. running his hand up and down your thigh because it's midnight and you look so pretty just sitting there.
to the point where Chad has to pull over and eat you out until your come all over the leather seat, his tongue lazily dragging down your slit as you hold on to the armrest and the handlebar. it gets embarrassing when a cop pulls over because he thinks you guys are having car trouble.

CHARLI XCX - VON DUTCH
youtube
“If Von Dutch were alive,” said Burns, who runs a website about his friend at www.vondutch.freeservers.com, “he would hate all this.”
[5.81]
Jacob Sujin Kuppermann: On February 12 of this year I predicted that "we can safely give the Charli lead single an automatic high controversy [5.00] and be done with it." History will vindicate me. [5]
Jackie Powell: A common Charli XCX motif is her admiration and sampling of 1990s and Y2K culture, which has allowed her to write songs that are cheeky with a dash of British wit. She does this on “Von Dutch” by comparing her reputation in pop to that of a cult classic, but struggles with the extended metaphor of how she’s what Von Dutch, the LA clothing brand that has had a recent resurgence, sounds like. The concept feels incomplete. I actually prefer the song’s remix with Addison Rae and A.G. Cook. The ad-libbed scream from Rae, the added verse, and the dropping of “I’m your number one” over and over again make the remix much more compelling and zany. The original will only really bang in drag bars—a fine place for something to hit, of course, but at this point I expect Charli to be pushing her own boundaries. [5]
Alfred Soto: Like much of her output, "Von Dutch" represents Charli XCX's fair to middling ambition to become a global pop star. Like much of that output "Von Dutch" strikes confused poses over shrieking electronics. [3]
Hannah Jocelyn: Charli XCX said she wants to go back to 1999, but with songs like these she clearly wishes it was 2018: all the callbacks and bombast referring to when she was “the future of music” and not halfway to the headliner of an inevitable "hyperpop" nostalgia festival. I like the gloriously tinny snare, but in 2024 the bratty chant vocals sound dated (as does the album title that's just brat in lowercase). The most exciting songs on CRASH to me were “Constant Repeat” and “Move Me,” which proved she could bring her "kinda rare attitude" to heartfelt ballads. "Von Dutch" is just mindless comfort food for aging cis male gays, which is fine — I’m the lone First Two Pages of Frankenstein defender, I get it — but she can’t say she’s my Number One when on this song, she's my Number [5]
Mark Sinker: I enjoy that Charli XCX lives in a room-sized selection-box of all of the rest of girlpop, everything constantly arriving with its conscious little tweaky echo of this or that prior item. They’re nice items, and we both like them, so why not? Maybe this feels a bit more hemmed in than is comfy, though: it has big Britney-feel, which is to say echoes of an aural highpoint that actually expressed a grim life lowpoint for Brit. As for Von Dutch, they currently have the one and only Wikipedia page with "Behind-the scenes tumult" as a cross-hed, which pleases me but also makes me anxious.  [7]
Katherine St. Asaph: Once again, the nostalgia is miscalibrated: Von Dutch was trendy in the mid-2000s, while this sounds like the late 2000s. Specifically, it sounds like every song from the late 2000s I would have given a [7] or higher. [7]
Will Adams: I whole-heartedly support pop stars honoring the advancements made by the likes of Luciana in support of the essential micro-genre of Obnoxious Banger. [7]
Kat Stevens: I'm down for the Bodyrox ft Luciana revival! Is there a Fedde Le Grand remix? [6]
Andrew Karpan: Pop music tells us to want to have it all, a maximalist vision that typically gets bigger as it goes on. Counterintuitively, part of the mesmerizing appeal of Charli’s records is the fact that there is no distance left for her to run and that her sound has become the sound of pop going nowhere but the present, busily manufacturing its cult appeal now for future observers to wax nostalgic about. “Von Dutch” is the most literalized version of that idea from her yet: a squeaky saran-wrapped PC Music-affiliated beat with a middle-aged pulse that never drops but simply hangs, like a foggily-heard echo of itself, like the memory of a club night experienced from the outside while nervously waiting in line in the cold.  [7]
Jeffrey Brister: It’s perhaps a bit unfair to compare everything Charli has made recently to the transcendent Pop 2 ("Backseat" 4evr), but when I hear something as dull as this, I can’t help but pine for its melodramatic maximalism. The sounds are just so monochromatic, pulling from a desaturated set of Charli tics like grinding revving synths and choppy autotuned vocal snippets, all snapping together like a “build your own Charli song” kit in nothing but gray tones. [4]
Kayla Beardslee: Why does this sound so bad? [2]
Nortey Dowuona: That last Earl album was good. This Charli single is good. Some people just never live up to your expectations because they are not you. Unlike Charli, I don't think it's because of jealousy, just curiosity and frustration. Charli and Earl were never meant to be Method Man or Robyn -- they had different tastes and trajectories, and slumming it as a major-label balance name isn’t the worst fate. You could be Tyga. Or Rita Ora. [9]
Taylor Alatorre: It's caked in an air of sweaty desperation dressed up as devil-may-care hedonism, which helps rather than hurts because of how unflinchingly skeletal the beat is, showing off its shotgun scaffolding to all who will see. She's not trying to hide anything about how she's trying to hide something. Never mind that the phrase "cult classic but I still pop" could be used to describe everything from the MC5 to DMB -- it wouldn't have suited their milieux, but it's quintessentially XCX. It may be the line Charli was put on this earth to sing, even if through half-gritted teeth.  [7]
Leah Isobel: The curse of being Charli XCX is that she is an asymptote: she can approach pop stardom, but she's far too self-conscious to allow herself to actually embrace it. As a result, the curse of being a Charli XCX fan is that she becomes more obnoxious and exhausting every time she reaches a new career milestone. After scoring her first big worldwide hit, she spent her social capital yelling at Germans and collaborating with Iggy Azalea. Number 1 Angel and Pop 2 cemented her as a serious artist with conceptual depth and longevity while simultaneously sending her spiraling into stan Twitter hell, from whence she shall never return. She wears a T-shirt denouncing critics -- which I am not mad at, please drag me mom yas! -- and then logs on with hot takes about Pop Music And Stardom, as a critic does. She sees herself as above mass-market pandering and yet also below it, both superior to the culture and bitter at her inability to assimilate into it. (Gay people love her because she's relatable.) Hence, "Von Dutch." Its corkscrewing mania has the serrated simplicity that characterizes her riffs on punk music; it feels like a cousin to the unfairly maligned Sucker. But where Sucker balanced its brattier impulses with good-natured melodicism and emotional directness, "Von Dutch" is all needling cynicism and overdriven id. The song has a nominal verse/chorus structure but no big dynamic or melodic changes, no particular idea beyond "I'm lovable and awesome; look at my chart placements." The need to serve as a pop single also keeps "Von Dutch" from entering the realm of the dumb-brilliant dance music that so clearly inspired it; it's too much of a branding exercise, too interested in flattering its audience for getting it. And yet in its grating repetition, I still hear her insecurity beneath the synth buzzsaws. No one who's convinced that they're actually Living That Life would say it so directly, with such barely concealed desperation. The curse of being Charli XCX is that, deep down, she is still convinced that she is unlovable. The curse of being a Charli XCX fan is that I love her because she's relatable. [5]
Isabel Cole: I don't know that I'll ever stop feeling about Charli XCX like she's my brilliant daughter who dropped out of med school to pursue a career as a wedding DJ: of course, honey, I just want you to be happy, but are you sure this is what you want? You don't want to, like, try? At all? This is the kind of gleefully, knowingly brainless fun Charli can do in her sleep, propulsive without ever really going anywhere because the point is just to drive. She's not living up to her potential, but much like a boring mom who doesn't "get" her daughter's life of Top 40 hits in mid-budget venues and weeknights spent doing ketamine with her friends, I am unsophisticated enough to enjoy it when she does songs that are songs, and this one does make me feel like I'm walking through the opening credits of my life when it plays. [7]
Ian Mathers: I like it when the synths go THWOOM and/or VOORP. [7]

how is it already january 31st. ok anyways uh fun month musically tbh! been listening to a looooot of yeule and a bunch of random older stuff clicked with me finally, gonna ramble about them under the cut
allie x - girl with no face (pre-release singles)
tbh gwnf made sense to me instantly and owht was incredible on first listen, but black eye took MONTHS to grow on me. at least i'm obsessed with now, prepare to see this on the list all year
ariana grande - yes, and? (single)
i am basic and like house music. i think the dissonance on the chorus lines scratches my brain in a way not a lot else does currently, it's just kinda listenable in a fun way and that's all it needed to be imo. that one line is kinda funny with how underperformed it is tho
dua lipa - houdini - extended edit (single)
this has just been slowly taking over my brain ngl, hooks on hooks and they're all very fun to just sing to yourself while you're doing random things
tinashe - bb/ang3l
talk to me nice SWEEPS okay but also tightrope, needs, treason... honestly the whole fucking ep okay it's all good
paramore - this is why
tbh this gets on here almost exclusively off me watching the live debut performance of running out of time. her vocals are so good and that song in particular has been my jam this month ok, also you first is so good both as their song and as remi wolf's
adrianne lenker - songs
several alters were vibing with this this month and tbh good for them. her next solo album is probably gonna take over my life when it releases so hey
paramore - after laughter
dash really liked this one, i've been really clicking with rose-colored boy finally. i find this is why to be the better listen overall, but god this thing is still really good
confidence man - tilt
weird pick but i've kinda come back around into being obsessed with this again! subdued but quirky dance, it's not as immediately catchy or bold as their debut, but i really like it for what it is
yeule - softscars
this was the centerpiece of the month, well tbh all of yeule's discography could be. their stuff is so good but in particular like poison arrow, a song i'll get to later when i talk abt glitch princess, and cyber meat and 4ui12 have been just ruling this month for me. this album's groaning metallic soundscapes have just been so cathartic as of late. i'm a stan now
looks away somewhat shamefully - 1989 (taylor's version)
i don't even have an excuse for this one ok i just like this album, i have for like fucking 7 years at this point and i like the vault tracks and the less i have to think about the discourse surrounding Her As A Person the better.
charli xcx - crash
this kinda snuck back up on me this month? finally decided to revisit it after a long long time away, and it's held up incredibly well! much like hold the girl by rina sawayama, an artist is not merely worth based on how much they pander to rym nerds. the hooks, delivery, and production on this are so fucking good idgaf
100 gecs - 1000 gecs
this really has held up so well ok. 10k also rly good but this and the unreleased stuff has been scratching a particular itch for me this month. literally every song (except stupid horse i THINK which is fine bc i was obsessed with it before now) has been the subject of a small obsession of mine this month it's so good
olivia rodrigo - guts
this album keeps holding up and keeps being relevant to me personally. girl please put the deluxe tracks on streaming already for me
pinkpantheress - heaven knows
this album is SO fucking good hoooooly shit. i thought her first project was just ok but this is an ALBUM. ophelia, feel complete, mosquito, the aisle, hell that ENTIRE first 4 track run, i feel like i'm forgetting more but like just that alone... god...
rajie - heart to heart
my city pop hidden gem, this thing is so flawless even still. it's me it's you is still peak hooks. there are a couple other japanese titles i don't wanna go copy paste but like they are also just some of the most timeless melodies i've ever heard. this and timely by anri are the 2 city pop releases i keep on full rotation constantly now
yeule - glitch princess
don't be so hard on your own beauty. that's literally it. i don't want to talk about it because it's personal but i've been streaming it like my life depends on it. means the fucking world to me
cafune - love songs for the end
this just refuses to let go of my attention? 5 songs, probably just "generic pop" to most people, yet perspective and unchained memory REFUSE to leave me alone. the amount of times i've just ended up mumbling out that "honestly i think about-" and end up singing the entire thing to myself is unreal. shockingly effective hook
lady gaga - the fame monster (deluxe)
felt like revisiting this and it's still kind of just a big pop bible. my spotify has been playing teeth way too much but other than that, no song really manages to wear itself out. i guess maybe paper gangsta but that one's so silly how could you hate it
florence and the machine - how big, how blue, how beautiful
random pick but i'm standing by it. have come to the conclusion this and hah are her best records, and i maintain that. this one in particular tho is just stunningly good
kacy hill - is it selfish if we talk about me again?
alice really liked this, and i've also been streaming frog rinse a fuckton bc god that vocal effect is so unique yet so good
laura les - haunted (single)
probably the 2nd most defining thing in january besides yeule, this single has been just The thing i listen to all the damn time. her unreleaseds are so good too (walls are closing in?!?!>?!?>!>??!! RELEASE IT)
maude latour - 001
random pick again but this ep is so good, it's her best imo despite not appearing to have "that high highs." something about the aesthetics of each song here and how they're basically all good bops holds them up so well
hiroshi yoshimura - music for nine post cards
this and green are records that mercedes has been streaming like no tomorrow cuz they're so chill, but this one is definitely my lesser favorite? better cover but i care a lot more abt the songs on green except for blink, which is mesmerizing
100 gecs - unreleased
literally all of them but especially ratatouille and the thos moser remix. they need to just put out an unreleased record idgaf they have too many good songs sitting on youtube
hiroshi yoshimura - green
i got a gorgeous vinyl copy of this, and i've just been thinking a lot about this album. also peak reading music, ambient sweep
-----
ok so unrelated ik i said i'd do stats for 2023 in this post back in december but you know what... i don't feel like it. just know it was like big thief dragon, ethel preachers daughter, and maggie rogers surrender top 3 charters of all time so far. let's see how this year treats all of them!

you can usually tell a lot about a person by the type of music they listen to. put your favourite playlist on shuffle and list the first ten songs then tag ten people — no skipping!
Thanks for the tag @amethystsoda !! I have so many small, niche playlists so I’m going to shuffle through my liked songs on Spotify! (7,000+ songs…. I’m sweating 😬)
Tumblr media
1. Baby - Charli XCX (Charli is my pop girlie of choice and I have had a love affair with the Crash album, I love this one)
2. Wolf Drawn - Emancipator (one of my go to bands for chill instrumentals that really ground me, their discography doesn’t miss)
3. Nonchalant - Duck Sauce (groovy little house tracks make brain go brrrrr)
4. ワクワクmeetsトリップ - Pastel*Palettes (it wouldn’t be me if there wasn’t music from Bandori on here!)
5. Feel It All Around - Washed Out (at this point, it’s classic and evergreen to me)
6. Eœ (Disk•Initiate) - Iglooghost (Im a sucker for a good avant- Garde soundscape, it’s really cool)
7. Upgrade - Flume (this mixtape remains one of my favorite electronic works! kinda changed my life when it initially dropped)
8. Suede - Nxworries, Anderson .Paak (I’m forever a fan of Anderson’s work, it’s perfection across the board)
9. Chanel - Frank Ocean (uuuuuugh I love Frank don’t even get me started)
10. Skeleton Key - Margot & The Nuclear So And So’s (I think I’ve been listening to this since high school and it still slaps)
tagging my music loving moots @thefatiguedfatale @nebulasan @lela-ri and anyone else who wants to join!
Song links below the cut 💕

woo last month's topster
the persona 4 soundtrack is one of my favorite video game osts rn. all of the vocal tracks are really amazing your affection is sooo fucking good i listen to it literally all the time.
i've always kinda been into charli xcx but i had never listened to a full album other than crash when it came out until recently. sucker is really fun i really like body of my own and boom clap a lot. how i'm feeling right now is good too, a lot of the songs remind me of something sophie would make even though she isn't on the album to my knowledge. my favs are visions, pink diamond and c2.0
i've been listening to the town inside me a lot bc i've been getting back into guilty gear and bridget is one of my mains + pride month and bridget is trans. also i had a major revelation about my gender this month while listening to this song and in general i've been thinking a lot about my gender recently. i kinda want to talk more about it but i feel really dumb when i try to explain it
also i listened to a ton of music on youtube last month and since i use last.fm to make these my youtube stuff doesn't show up so i might post some of it later :3

Hi slut.
Shuffle your #1 favorite P!NK, Paramore, Ke$/sha, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ava Max, Charli XCX, Marina, LDR, and Lady Gaga songs and pit them against eachother 😁
Who reigns as #1?
Tumblr media
how the tables turn
Tumblr media
here are the unlucky contestants!
Round 1: Backseat (feat Carly Rae Jepsen) vs Thinking Of You
ohhhh Backseat is an excellent song, but Thinking Of You is a masterclass in brash pettiness and bravado, I simply can't not scream it when it plays.
Round 2: Thinking Of You vs Belladonna
Belladonna is a gorgeous dark and sultry song but the unsaid truth is that it's outclassed by more or less every song here, and I've got about 15 Kesha songs that beat it easily
Round 3: Thinking Of You vs (One Of Those) Crazy Girls
Bitch.
my post crashed just as I was about to post it and I originally picked (One Of Those) Crazy Girls, but now that I'm thinking of it..... Thinking Of You.
Round 4: Thinking Of You vs Blue
ouuuu Blue is a gorgeous song which I adore but deep down I am a trashy bitch so....
Round 5: Thinking Of You vs Your Type
why are you doing this to me.
Thinking Of You kinda acts as a....mission statement for early Ke$ha, but Your Type has the most cutting set of lyrics I've ever heard so..... a tie but I'm picking Your Type.
I bet she acts so perfectly
You probably eat up every word she says.....
and if you ever think of me
I bet I'm just a flicker in your head......
Thinking Of You kinda acts as a....mission statement for early Ke$ha, but Your Type has the most cutting set of lyrics I've ever heard so..... a tie but I'm picking Your Type.
Round 6: Your Type vs Paparazzi
Your Type is my most streamed song of all time but there's just something about the whole concept of Paparazzi, fame killing its darlings and the whole intensity of it all. Your Type is more subdued but, as I said, I'm a rock chick, I like to break shit and go crazy. Paparazzi, barely.
Round 7: Paparazzi vs Say Yes To Heaven
This is more of a choice between melancholia and mania, just like the previous match-up, and while Say Yes To Heaven is the most angelic song I've ever heard........I'm your biggest FAN I'LL FOLLOW YOU UNTIL YOU LOVE ME
Round 8: Paparazzi vs Please Don't Leave Me
you're my perfect little punching bag.
and i need you.
i'm sorry.
the one song that can outdo Paparazzi in terms of mania and desperation, and it adds destructive toxicity on top of it? Yeah, Please Don't Leave Me is my favorite song of all time, forever.
and since i changed my mind a thousand times while writing this and my post got deleted in the middle of it and i had to redo it, this is a ranked list if i had to rank them the usual way

Quick Album Review #2
This album was at the request of my partner, since he has been hounding me since it came out on March, to listen to it and so I finally got to it (on my list of albums that I still need to listen to lol). Enjoy!
CRASH by Charli XCX
Genre(s):
Dance Pop
Synthpop
Techno
Post-Disco
Pop-Funk
Rating: 8.54/10
Top 5 Songs:
Lightning
Yuck
Good Ones
New Shapes (feat. Christine and the Queens and Caroline Polachek)
Beg For You (feat. Rina Sawyama)
Okay lol, so tbh I came into this album trying to have an open mind cause my prior experience with Charli XCX was when she made Sucker (which I enjoyed) and then never really got back into her cause she went into the hyperpop world and unfortunately I’m still trying to learn to appreciate the genre lol (I really am, I promise my partner plays it often so I can appreciate it). So, I didn’t have a good outlook on this album but I told myself to just have an open mind and go for it and you know what?
This album is GOOD. The fucking new wave, synthpop, and 80′s dance elements are so fucking cleverly intertwined through the album, it had me yelling when one of those elements would just appear. But ALSO THE FUCKING FUNK/DISCO IN THIS ALBUM. HOLY FUCK, IT’S FUCKING DELICIOUS. YUCK GOT ME FUCKING SHAKING MY ASS OFF WHILE IT WAS PLAYING.
There were some songs that kinda fell a bit flat at times and wasn’t big fan of how the album ended, especially since it had a huge beginning with Crash, but overall this album is great! Definitely recommend as this album just makes you feel fucking good and has you all over the place, moving lol. Anyways, stream CRASH by Charli XCX!

the combo of swimsuit/bikini, big sun hat, sunglasses, cute towel, sunscreen scent and a book or podcast is inherently summery no matter your complexion imo!! I know it’s hard but you’re at the beach, it’s literally summery no matter what your body looks like! I’d recommend looking at you.swim on Insta as they have such a range of complexions/body types, helps me whenever they pop up on my feed :) also I love a black bikini but maybe a warm toned colour would look less stark against your skin? Like chocolate brown or the you.swim ‘cosmic’ pink colour seems to look great on fair skin 💖💖
I think you're Soo right about the summery aesthetic....black is definitely not my very best color (pink ivory or navy would be better) but I do feel very Charli XCX crash album cover in it, I think I'm just adjusting to showing so much skin... it's a lot of skin to show for me lol!! If I were to buy another swimsuit I'd definitely buy a lower contrast color, the pink or brown sound so good, I love pink and brown rn.... but it does feel kinda cool to wear a black bathing suit :)

december!! what the fuck do you MEAN it's already been 2 years of doing these monthly charts. uh open for names and stuff yaurrrr
going to add a little description for why a certain thing ends up on here
the volunteers - the volunteers / dash's favorite album!!! super meaningful to me now
maggie rogers - surrender / this has just kinda been a mood all year. like messy and melodramatic and bombastic and honest
lady gaga - the fame monster / got pulled to revisit this, and i'm sorry but she served so fucking hard. this is the deluxe w the fame included btw
ariana grande - dangerous woman / idk i just felt like i needed to revisit it after spending a lot of time away and unfortunately it's still a really good pop album
mitski - the land is inhospitable and so are we / underrated as fuck healing album. easily her best
beabadoobee - beatopia / been revisiting a lot of summer 2022 stuff and this one has held up so well. really good album and great cover
hitsujibungaku - 12 hugs (like butterflies) / i love their previous album and this is their new release! it's not my favorite but it's rly good and i wanna give it more time to grow on me
marina - electra heart / been pulled back to the melodramatic pop of my teen years (see tfm and dw above) and they're all just really good? been humming hypocrates all month
yeule - softscars / been an album for processing shit and letting it go and being unabashedly, cringedly myself
boygenius - the record & the rest / [ tries not to cry ] ok but actually tho just cool about it & afraid of heights. that is all
alvvays - blue rev / dash rly likes after the earthquake and the album is so good :)
charli xcx - crash / missed this album a bit! still rly good imo like it fills the niche of pop to turn your brain off to
food house - food house / my fav hyperpop project still, wanted earnestness and simple tried-and-true tactics rather than gimmicks and frost childrens' hyperpop albums have been on heavy rotation all year so i figured i'd revisit this instead
olivia rodrigo - guts / the stranglehold this has on my teenager arc...
pinkpantheress - heaven knows / REALLY good in a surprising way. thought her debut project was good-but-not-great but this has some BANGERS and a stunning cover. women win
yola - stand for myself / revisiting summer 2022 stuff again, but this is like the most meaningful album of that era to me and i have been just thinking about a lot
lucy dacus - home video / [ starts crying ] top 3 of all time for me. thumbs only hits harder as more time passes unfortunately
courtney barnett - tell me how you really feel / dash really likes it, and i've been in the mood for some courtney anyways. ttttt is also rly good but it's a healing album and i am not exactly healing rn lmao
hayley williams - flower for vases (descansos) / continuing right from where ^ left off, this has been my comfort during rough times for going on 3 years now. such a flawless album
rina sawayama - hold the girl / ok now HERE'S a healing album. this one is still so good idgaf if it's not experimental genre fusions. the girls that get it get it and the ones that don't dont
corinne bailey rae - black rainbows / can i be real i listened to this on a whim this month bc of mic the snare and wow it's so good. been on my mind ever since
sigrid - the hype / honestly a bit of a sleeper hit on this chart? borderline has been slowly becoming one of my all time fav pop songs, and i forgot how good wanted it to be you was
frost children - hearth room / my fav hyperpoppers really went and made an indie record... it's fun tbh it's silly and lighthearted and i love frost park in particular :)
carly rae jepsen - the loneliest time & the loveliest time / both of these are stunningly good but i've been fixating on talking to yourself all month
ethel cain - preacher's daughter / [ continues crying ] girlie is emotionally crafting things to be here specifically for me during my lowest points and we love that for me
