Трехлитровая банка солений от Crytek: Обзор Crysis Remastered Trilogy

К счастью, ограничиваться переизданием первой Crysis немцы из Crytek не стали, и через год после появления первого ремастера свет увидела целая трилогия самых нанотехнологичных шутеров в истории видеоигр, адаптированных под современные консоли и ПК. Каждую часть можно взять по отдельности за 30$, что не очень выгодно, весь же сборник обойдется в 50$.

Хотя мы уже успели ужаснуться качеством ремастера самой первой части, с релиза утекло немало воды, и многие наши претензии можно если не ��ычеркивать, то как минимум приуменьшить. Во-первых, к нам на праздник пожаловали некстген-консоли, и раздражающие тормоза, проблемы с подгрузками текстур, повсеместные графические артефакты, фризы и неистовые пляски счетчика FPS значительно сократились. Да, корневая проблема движка с неумением использовать более двух процессоров не исправлена (да и вряд ли будет исправлена когда-либо), ни о каких железобетонных 60 FPS речи не идет даже на Xbox Series X и PS5, и даже в режиме производительности. Но игра уже работает достаточно плавно, ч��обы голова не болела, а вы просто наслаждались игровым процессом при весьма достойной картинке. Еще одно позитивное изменение – возвращение утерянной миссии Ascension на истребителях. Не всем она была по душе, но без нее приключение получалось несколько рваным и совсем уж коротким.

А вот доложить в комплект отличный аддон Warhead снова забыли. По нашему скромному мнению, в Warhead разработчики из Crytek достигли своего пика в плане построения геймплея (не спроста же на GameMAG плашка “море фана” отсылает именно к этой игре!). Дополнение сделало правильные акценты в сторону постановки и обилия взрывного оружия, при этом не растеряв фирменной опьяняющей свободы в рамках заданий, которые, наконец-то, стали интересными и разнообразными. Особенно неприятно отсутствие Warhead в сборнике ударило по восприятию сюжета Crysis 3. Ведь персонаж Псих, злоключениям которого посвящается аддон, играет ключевую роль в сюжете триквела, и его появление там получается отнюдь не таким эффектным, как хотелось бы.

Про ремастеры второй и третьей части же много слов не скажешь. Графические изменения относительно максимальных настроек ПК-версий приходится искать с лупой. На PS5 и Xbox Series X обе части работают по обратной совместимости в динамическом разрешении от 4K до 1080p при стабильных 60 FPS. Crysis 2 вышел в 2010-м году, Crysis 3 – в 2013-м, но оба до сих пор выдают отличную и даже конкурентоспособную по современным меркам картинку. Третья часть даже спустя 8 лет может смело претендовать на звание самого красивого шутера. Уж в этом аспекте художники и программисты Crytek действительно опередили свое время, и если рынок видеокарт еще худо-бедно поспевал за амбициями студии, консольное железо только сейчас позволило насладиться этими играми без боли.

Сами же игры не изменились ни на йоту. Во второй части разработчики, видимо, огорченные не самым впечатляющими продажами первой Crysis и головокружительным успехом Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, вышедшей в том же 2007 году, решили кардинально всё перелопатить. Местом действия стал осажденный инопланетными захватчиками Нью-Йорк. Гигантские просторы, сумасшедшая интерактивность и опьяняющая свобода значительно сократились. Игра стала куда более линейным боевиком с сильной ставкой на сюжет, обилием голливудских ВАУ-моментов, “вотэтоповоротов” и скрежетом въедливой музыки Ханса Циммера. Художественный стиль инопланетян стал разительно отличаться от своих собратьев из первой части. Кальмароподобные завоеватели переоделись в гуманоидной формы экзоскелеты, став удивительно похожими на объектов своего подражания из серии Halo (издалека их почти не отличить от воинов Сангхейли, а местные здоровяки один в один копируют Охотников). Жаль, но искусственный интеллект врагов даже вполовину не так хорош, как в Halo, что во многом отделяло отличный в целом шутер от великого.

Стелс работал по совершенно необъяснимым алгоритмам, враги то резко обнаруживали героя издалека сквозь стену в режиме маскировки, то не видели в упор. Благо, обязательных для скрытого прохождения секций не было, а когда разносишь неприятелей вырванным прямо со стойки стационарным пулеметом, проблемы ИИ не так сильно бросаются в глаза. Немного огорчало отсутствие возможности поменять голос нанокостюма на женский, а то и вовсе отключить в отрыве от сюжетных диалогов (в первой части такие опции были). Ближе к середине приключения от хриплых фраз “максимум брони”, “маскировка включена” и “нановизор включен” начинает несколько штормить. В целом, второй Crysis остался, пожалуй, самой любимой частью франшизы в народе.

Третья часть попыталась совместить в себе просторы оригинала с постановкой сиквела. Получилось вполне достойно, поведение врагов стало куда более адекватным, широко разрекламированный нано-лук придал стелсу чуть больше глубины за счет бесшумности и разных видов стрел. Однако игра была слишком уж короткой и во многих вещах как две капли воды похожей на предшественницу. Основным местом действия стал все тот же поднадоевший Нью-Йорк, только заросший зеленью.

Особой популярности в свое время триквел так и не снискал. В 2013-м году внимание публики оккупировал вал громких новинок вроде GTA V и The Last of Us, выход новых консолей и непременная парочка шутерных мастодонтов в лице Call of Duty и Battlefield. Хороший, но неидеальный Crysis 3 в этом празднике жизни как-то затерялся, портов игры для поколения PlayStation 4 и Xbox One мы сразу так и не увидели, изувеченные внешне и отчаянно тормозящие версии для Xbox 360 и PS3 мало кому хотелось трогать, а обладатели топовых видеокарт всегда были и будут в меньшинстве. В переиздание переехали странности русской локализации, когда в роликах между уровнями все персонажи озвучены на английском, а в самой игре и катсценах – на русском.

Но перелопачивать дела давно минувших дней долго не хочется. Куда важнее ответить на вопрос “есть ли смысл в приобретении этой многострадальной трилогии сегодня?”. Для обладателей оригиналов на ПК – однозначно, нет. Хоть какие-то ощутимые визуальные изменения коснулись только самой первой игры, и те не всегда удачные. А вот обладателям современных консолей, скучающим по качественным одиночным шутерам и пропустившим франшизу, стоит, как минимум, взять Crysis Remastered Trilogy на карандаш. Это хорошие игры, которые в кои-то веки безболезненно работают на игровых приставках и даже сегодня впечатляют внешне. Учитывая дефицит классических шутеров от первого лица, сейчас самое удачное время, чтобы натянуть нанокостюм и нашпиговать свинцом инопланетных захватчиков!

[Review] Crysis Remastered

Crysis es sin duda una obra de culto para el PC gaming. Por años la saga ha sido un referente a la hora de probar las capacidad de todo nuevo hardware que salía al mercado.

Ahora, Crytek nos trae una versión remasterizada del primer Crysis para seguir haciendo explotar nuestras PC por una década más. Obviamente desde que se anunció el remastered todo el mundo tenemos una pregunta... Can it run Crysis?

En Crysis jugamos como Nomad, quien forma parte de un equipo de operaciones especiales que es enviado a una isla para evacuar a un equipo de arqueólogos, quienes han descubierto algo muy importante. Sin embargo, el ejército de Corea del Norte ha tomado el control de la isla y deberemos infiltrarnos para logran nuestro objetivo. Armado con el poderoso nanotraje, que nos puede proporcionar armadura, invisibilidad y super fuerza, deberemos proceder misión por misión y revelar que siniestro misterio oculta la isla.

La historia de Crysis es muy entretenida pese a ser algo simple. El juego está más centrado en hacer gala de su jugabilidad de tipo sandbox y de su poderoso apartado gráfico. Si bien no hay ningún cambio con respecto al primer juego, hay una misión donde piloteábamos una nave que fue eliminada de esta remasterización. Realmente queda bastante feo el salto que hay de una misión a la otra, se nota demasiado que nos estamos perdiendo una parte de la historia. Esto se debe a que la remasterización fue desarrollada en base a las versiones de Xbox 360 y PlayStation 3, las cuales no tenían la potencia para poder correr esa misión.

El juego se divide en varias misiones, todas vinculadas a la historia de principio a fin. Las misiones individuales también se dividen en objetivos más pequeños, junto con algunas misiones secundarias para que no sea todo tan lineal. En si es un juego que se puede jugar de forma lineal, pero el juego nos ofrece la libertad de afrontarlo como queramos. Cada sección es un mini mundo abierto que ofrece distintas rutas y nos permite realizar varios tipos de estrategias.

Han pasado como 13 años desde la primera vez que jugué Crysis, pero aún me sigo sorprendiendo con el nivel de libertad que ofrece para encarar cada misión. Sí es verdad que pese a mucha libertad el destino siempre es el mismo, pero eso no quita lo divertido que es infiltrarse usando el camuflaje en campamentos enemigos e intentar completar las misiones sin ser visto.

En el apartado técnico no hay mucho para decir, Crysis luce mejor que nunca. Sabre Interactive ha exprimido al máximo el poder del CryEngine para realizar esta remasterización, incluso han diseñado e integrado al motor una solución de ray tracing que no requiere de un hardware en especifico para funcionar. Obviamente estamos hablando de un juego muy exigente y su versión para PC se encuentra algo mal optimizada, pero el equipo de desarrollo está trabajando en varios parches. Aún así su amplia gama de opciones gráficas permitirán hacerlo correr en casi cualquier hardware ya entrada en años sin ningún tipo de problemas.

Este va a ser un análisis cortito, ya que a esta altura creo que no hay mucho más para hablar sobre una obra como Crysis. Se que muchos van a preferir quedarse con la versión original e instalarle mods, pero quienes nunca pudieron jugar el original o quieren revivir la experiencia con una lavado de cara, Crysis Remastered es una muy buena opción.

Puntos positivos: • Excelente shooter de tipo sandbox. • El apartado gráfico luce mejor que nunca. • El nanotraje ofrece diferentes formas de afrontar cada misión. • Sistema de armas modulares en tiempo real muy practico.

Puntos negativos: • Problemas de optimización en PC. • Falta la misión Ascension.

Earlier this month, EA made the surprise reveal that EA games are coming to Steam! With so many franchises under the Electronic Arts banner, this was a pretty big deal and gave a chance for certain series to have their reunion all under one storefront. Now, the publisher just revealed a few more games that have been added to that list, including the deluxe version of Mass Effect 3.

Need for Speed, Dragon Age, Crysis 3, and more have all been added previously, with even more on the way. As for the most recent titles to be included in Valve's library, we've got a ton of Battlefield, two Mass Effect Deluxe Editions, and Star Wars goodness.

We mentioned previously in our earlier coverage that the inclusion of the most recent Mass Effect and Dragon Age games was a huge deal. Both franchise saw a split of what was available outside of Origins and EA Access thanks to EA taking the reigns as the publisher, which meant that those that want to play on Steam would have to divvy up their time between platforms. Both are free to play, so that's not the biggest deal, though can be seen as a bummer for those that love to rack up achievements as well as access to the Steam Workshop for mods.

PC-exclusive titles like APex Legends will also be making their way over onto Steam, which will increase the player-size immensely for those that absolutely refuse to download another client. More and more games are being added to this list, so don't worry - Prima Games will keep this list updated.

Publisher Electronic Arts has taken the spotlight in the last week. While its recent EA Play showcase still has players talking, before the big event EA was releasing its catalog on Steam. With many ecstatic about the option to play these games on Valve's client, some problems are arising after launch.

Of the big list of EA published games to release on Steam, Mass Effect 3 saw considerable fanfare. The original trilogy's finale was welcomed by fans, but elation has quickly turned into frustration. Mass Effect 3, a controversial finale to the original series, has some significant performance issues on Steam with players reporting drops to sub-15fps.

According to Game Debate, the culprit of this performance knock stems from the Origin in-game overlay that is applied to EA games. Just after launch a thread appeared on the Electronic Arts official forums which also points to the overlay as the issue. Responses explain that users should attempt to disable the overlay which had been known to affect performance. The problem with Mass Effect 3's Steam releases is that the overlay is continuously enabled.

Some users in the thread posted support conversations which point to the problem as being a technical issue with Steam. Taking a peak at the Steam user reviews, which currently sits at a 'Mixed' rating, many players are suffering from the aforementioned poor performance. The top five up-voted reviews all acknowledge a widespread problem and urge others to hold off on a purchase until a fix is released.

Mass Effect 3 released last week as part of EA's previous rollout of games on the Steam client. Yesterday had a whole new slew of games that were previously locked to EA's Origin client on PC. The recent batch of releases include Titanfall 2, Dead Space 3, A Way Out, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Need for Speed: Payback. The big title to come with these releases is the Sims 4 which has 10 million active users.

Fans are hoping that Mass Effect 3's performance issues are fixed quickly. Some are ready to replay the trilogy on PC again after the rumored Mass Effect Trilogy remaster was not at EA Play.
