this is just a thought, but sometimes i wonder if the like button just one day vanished from tumblr and reblogging was the only option, just how much interaction ppl’s content would actually get, you know? like how dependent are ppl on the like button actually? bc if it was gone and they were forced to reblog in order to keep it, would they, or would they still avoid those green arrows like the plague?

things I’m looking forward to with my new exercise regimen: strengthened airways/heart, powerful thighs
things i am not looking forward to with my new exercise regimen: stretched-out kneecaps that are primed and ready to subluxate at any given fuckin moment

i dont know why, but i don't like reading fiction stories about writers. there's just something,, immersion-breaking about it to me? like, reading a story about a writer just makes me hyper-aware that I Am Reading Something That Was Written
you know like how if there's some line like "things don't work out in real life like they do in books" and it just jolts you out of the story flow and reminds you that you are, in fact, reading a book. that's how it is for me if a character is a writer or the setting is smth like a writing group
not to say i never read stories involving writing, but if i'm looking into a book and it features writing as a major point, it's enough to dampen my interest by a lot if not put me off entirely
i have plenty of dealbreakers when it comes to selecting books, but i definitely find this to be oddest one, esp considering i'm a writer myself. shouldn't i enjoy reading books about writers? apparently not lmao
