ok would Ray Vecchio survive? (I'm thinking no) What about Fraser?
Ray Vecchio my beloved...
Oh, Ray. Everyone hates Ray so much. I don't even think the townspeople would help him because he's just that obnoxious. On the other hand he survived his own abusive father and his own house full of maneating girlies (sorry Francesca...). He's also an Italian American with a Catholic mother who works in a job where he gets shot at - crucifix nothing that boy is wearing a scapular. (Although since I'm being very hard-line about sacred items vs holy symbols I'm not sure how far down the sliding scale of harmless jewelry to Literally God a scapular would fall. Hmm.) He also probably arrives thoroughly garlic infused, so that's an advantage.
On the other hand, Ray Vecchio is a little rat of a man and we know Dracula can command rats. He's also a City Boy through and through, not at home in the great outdoors. He is not going to be happy about All Those Wolves (one deaf half-wolf is more than enough). If he makes it as far as the Jon-a-Thon he's going to be having a real bad time. The one comfort is that there's no way for the Riv to get scratched or blown up.
The thing about Ray Vecchio is... he's a born loser. And in this case that might be a real advantage for him, because I think he will be able to recognize pretty quickly that Dracula is a fight he will lose. Ray can and does get cocky, but in a mean little way, driven by his own insecurities and the fact that everyone beats him down all the time. But when faded with a superior foe he's more likely I think to be underconfident. RayK needs someone to take care of him, but RayV needs someone to take care of, a reason to step up. Castle Dracula is not going to give him that, but that's fine, because stepping up in Cstle Dracula gets you killed.
The more I think about it, the more I think he'd react almost exactly like Jonathan Harker, only more depressed/this might as well happen. He'll be a coward in all the right places. But for the psychological stuff, what can Dracula do to him that he doesn't already get from his own dad? Actually the best (possibly only) way to get Ray Vecchio out the window is for his Horrible Ghost Dad to be standing there telling him he can't do it. But also the thought of being trapped forever with three more overbearing sisters is going to be a strong motivating factor towards Literally Anything Other Than That. (Ray loves his family. He's a good boy. But once is enough).
And tell me that calling for help out the window only for the people in the courtyard to point and laugh isn't exactly the sort of thing that happens to Ray all the time. Also uggggghhhh I'm imagining the running to the door to save the baby and finding it locked scene with Ray (in his shirtsleeves like in the Duel) and it's making me sad because he would...
The main issue that's still plaguing me is that Jonathan Harker is a sweet innocent young man who activates everyone's protective instinct on sight, and is therefore tons of fun to slowly break over the course of months, and Ray Vecchio is a depressed divorced cop with the worst dress sense the 90s could produce and a personality like a rat whom everyone hates. Is he going to be nearly as fun to torment? Is Dracula going to be caught dead in one of his horrible suits? Can Dracula, being a supernatural entity, see the Ghost? How does that change the equation?
Ray Vecchio is born to suffer, and the longer he goes the more suffering there is for him. So I am going to say that actually, Detective Raymond Vecchio can survive Castle Dracula.
That or he disappears after the first month and is replaced by a blond Pole who attempts to gaslight Dracula into thinking nothing has happened

Ten Films I LOVE
tagged by my comedy partner in crime, the tsukkomi to my boke; @zurdoabsurdo
Shark Skin Man and Peach Hip Girl (1999 dir. Katsuhiro Ishii) This is my movie. Movie of all time. Rotten Tomatoes can eat my ass with their 25% rating. A yakuza on the run for stealing from the boss from a wacko cast of assassins with a clever girl in tow. It's what Tarantino wishes he could make.
Heat (1995 dir. Michael Mann) I mean, come on. AlPacino, Robert DeNiro, Val Kilmer, Tom Sizemore, Ashely Judd, Mykelti Williamson? This movie could not fail even if that was the goal.
The Accountant (2001 dir. Ray McKinnon) It's a short film, and Ray is actually from the town I've lived in the last twenty years, so I have a soft spot for him. Ray is so captivating as an actor, and this film was something else. It's somber but still moving.
Straight Talk (1992 dir. Barnet Kellman) It's a cornball romcom, but it's DOLLY PARTON'S romcom. I love this movie to pieces. I even have one of the original movie posters. Unfortunately I have to also look at James Woods' face lol.
Tombstone (1993 dir. George P. Cosmatos) Another that's like, be serious. I love westerns and the outlaw/lawman yeehaw bullshit. You know how it is with yeehaw bullshit.
Deadland Inferno/Zアイランド (2015 Hiroshi Shinagawa) An action zombie comedy. This one is for the yakuza gworls (gn). Basic we have a plan to get to safety from zombies and hijinks ensuse. Sho Aikawa, SHINGO TSURUMI MY BABY BOY BABY, Hideo Nakano, Hitoshi Ozawa, Sawa Suzuki. So like...dead souls but you're playing as Takasugi, Sagawa, Shibusawa, and Kuze LOL
The Bridges of Madison County (1995 dir. Clint Eastwood) Romance between an older couple, bittersweet partings, it's everything. I'm a closet die hard romantic.
My Dead Dad (2021 dir. Fabio Frey) I watched this for Raymond Cruz and wasn't expecting much but it really hit me. For reasons of my own dead dad that I was estranged from, but there were so many pieces that were like snapshots of my own teens years. The skate parks and ugly fucking skate shoes, weed, sour beer. It's also beautifully shot. It was my movie of 2022.
Grosse Pointe Blank (1997 dir. George Armitage) The soundtrack fucking rips. Probably one of my favorites ever. Joe Strummer put his whole pussy in it. A black comedy, John Cusack & Minnie Driver? Hot stuff
The Devil's Advocate (1997 dir. Taylor Hackford) MY GAY AWAKENING, A MOVIE I HAD NO BUSINESS WATCHING UNDER THE AGE OF TEN. I was obsessed with this movie. Tamara Tunie only had a small part man....she changed my life forever. If you love the tropes of good and evil, the devil, lawyers, Keanu Reeves with a terrible southern drawl, watch this :)
Tagging @necrotizer @coffeemakesmeahappybean @xyndario and anyone else that wants to share their favorite films <3

Netflix's The Gentlemen Rant/Review (Spoilers)
Tumblr media
If you've never seen a Guy Ritchie mob movie then you might enjoy yourself.
But if you're like me then you kinda - disappointed. and here is a rant:
I genuinely thought this was gonna be expanding on the world or characters of Gentlemen movie. I know they would not have the same cast but at least link them to the original story. But instead an entire 2 episode of retelling.
Susie Glass, not gonna lie I was hoping when she mentioned her DAD it would be in reference to the movie. Like maybe the Pearsons had a daughter that is now taking over the business! Like what is with franchises that don't like to touch or can cameos of the source material. She's kind of a spin on Rosie and kinda not.
I loved it when Rosie pulled out a gun, like I liked that she was elegant and posh but also mean despite her husband. Like wouldn't it be great if Susie was the daughter! I liked the mix of Matthew's southern accent amongst the diverse English accents.
The quick talking was fun but the character are watered down as fuck. Ritchie's movie and character are FUN and Kinda Cartoonish but that's what so fun about them! Colin Farrel as Coach, Hugh Grant as Fletcher. These ones are so serious which I get because it needs to span a TV series but this is a guy Ritchie spin off, not Succession.
Not sure if people notice that Guy Ritchie character structures are like a Shakespeare play. He spends the same amount of time introducing the low level criminals, side characters and the high end gangsters. They are interwoven by the same goal, consequences, and share 1 degree of separation wether they know or not.
In the Tv show, the main focus is the Duke and Susie, mainly the Duke and nothing ever comes back to bite him in the ass in the future the way it does in Ritchie's movies.
I will say there are some movie reference I appreciate:
the guns that blow the head off the guy (reference to lock stock)
there is a scene where Eddie pulls a cable to a pair of headphone (Reference to RocknRolla with One Two vs the Russians)
There is a chase scene that very much like Raymond's in the Gentlemen movie.
Finally the inconsistencies and editing. Good editing itself can be very comedic. Sometimes Richie skips directly showing a graphic scene to show the aftermath and let's the acting and script recall what happened - letting the audience's imagination wild. Example would be int he Gentlemen when The coach show the editor what happened between him and a pig. The Freddie's chicken sequence didn't need to pan out in order for the audience to understand how humiliating it is. If anything skip that, show Freddie crying and your brain will do the math. Equally and possibly more effective than actually showing it.
This goes for the scene where he accidentally pulls the chord to a pair of head phones in reference to RockNRolla. In RockNRolla, the two Russians pull the chord - LOUD music and to Gerard's face let's you know shits gonna get fucked up. and then it cuts.
In the Gentlemen, the chord is pulled and they duke it out. Which I guess yea but that point in the show there needed to be a fight scene.
But action sequence is misplaced.
In the first episode Eddie goes to a boxing match to find his brother who stole like 4 million pounds to gamble. Eddie confront brother but then walks away. As susie explains the truth about said gamble across the room Freddie. The shot of Eddie shakes more and more and the tiger roaring get louder and louder showing his growing anger. And you think Eddie, military man, he's gonna pink mist these the fuckers in the room! right? WRONG. HE JUST WALK OVER AND WAGS A FINGER.
Like I get it he's a duke....
In the gentlemen Movie Fletcher and Raymond recall a negotiation between Dry-eye and Micky where Micky suddenly shoots Dry-eye in the balls and lots of screaming. Cut back, it didn't actually happen and they just talked - Fletcher was just trying to spice up the story.
WHY DIDN'T THEY DO THAT. Why did they do they lion roaring and camera shaking, show him pink misting everyone and be like lol that was all in Eddy's head AND THEN he walks over and wags his finger.
And the only reason WHY I'm compiling about this whole shot of eddy being angry, camera shaking and lions roaring is that it only happens THE ONE TIME. They could have made it Eddy's thing where he's so close to snapping, it would have been part of his character but nah. that's it.
None of the characters really grow? Like Susie becomes more reckless but Eddy doesn't change much.....
This show is taking itself too seriously, and I love Ritchie movies cause they are goofy.
Ritchie did go from directing a couple episodes to only producing so that must have fucked things up.
So this is all I have to say for now.

Dani tried to pack as light as possible for her winter vacation with her mom. She wasn't going to give her any reason to pry into her personal life so she kept the clothes she brought with her as simple as possible. She considered taking her oversized Corroded Coffin shirt that she slept in or even the Hellfire shirt of Eddie's he let her borrow but she didn't want to give her any opening to try and "relate" with her.
"Does your little friend know you're going to be away for the whole week? Dad said he would let him know but I can always stop by his house and let you say happy holidays." Dani kept her eyes out the window.
"I said my goodbyes to everyone I needed to. I let them know if they haven't heard from me in a week, send the search party out." Dani showed no emotion towards her mother's questions. She was giving her the time she had threatened her dad with but that didn't mean she had to give her the attention.
"Have you thought anymore about college? I know you wanted to go somewhere warm. Maybe California? You would look so cute with blonde highlights." Dani rolled her eyes now making sure to address her mom directly.
"I can't live in a place like California with the air quality and humidity. Feels like something my mother would know since I have a lung disorder." Dani gave her a forced smile.
"Look kid, I know you think I left because your illness was too hard to deal with but your father and I were on the verge of divorce way before you got sick. I had to get away from him and his small town mindset. Hawkins might be home but that doesn't mean you need to use it as a safety blanket. There's a whole world out there baby." Her mom reached a hand out and she put her hands in her lap.
"Hawkins isn't home. We were supposed to be your home. You were supposed to love us enough to stick around. I don't plan to live in Hawkins my whole life but I plan to have my own place that includes the people I care about." Dani started to raise her voice making her mother clear her throat. When she parked the car, it wasn't at whatever hotel she was staying at but rather a cafe that had a really nice bookstore attached to the back of it.
"What are we doing here?" Dani asked looking around.
"I figured you wouldn't want to have much of a dialogue with me so I wanted you to be able to have a book or two to keep you company. Plus, I need coffee or else I too will be having a meltdown." Her mom leaned over and pulled the zipper up to her chin and Dani moved her hand. She got out of the car and made sure to go in the opposite direction of her mother to look for a possible book to keep her sane during the break. She had been reading Magician: Apprentice by Raymond Feist but she didn't even think to bring it with her. The majority of her reading list this year had been fantasy novels. She completely blamed the boys for it but she had been enjoying them.
There was always the option of grabbing another D&D book but they were so hard to find now that the "satanic panic" was afoot and the medias relentless push to demonize a stupid board game. It was honestly laughable. Dani found one in clearance covered by a thousand other books, a lot of bibles and how to be the best Christian books were ironically placed atop it. She made sure to shove it down into her bag before returning to the coffee shop to see her mom sitting with Ms. Kelley.
"Dani! It's so good to see you. I was just chatting with your mom about what a joy you've been." Ms. Kelley smiled but Dani didn't like this whole interaction. She did NOT need her mom snooping into her school life, especially with the nosy guidance counselor who didn't seem to want to leave her alone for five seconds.
"Hi Ms. Kelley. There's really no need to talk to her about-"
"So what are her college prospects looking like? She's always been so smart and capable. I think she could go anywhere but I'm just her mom." Dani felt sick to her stomach watching her mom put on this mom of the year front.
"She hasn't shown a ton of interest in one college in particular. We don't spend a ton of time talking about where she would like to see herself outside of this year. I'm just happy when she eats lunch in the building." Ms. Kelley joked.
"Surely she has the grades to get in someplace prestigious. She's got an amazing story of survival due to her illness. How could a college say no?" Dani felt the anger in her belly building.
"I'm not going to use my illness as a free pass to college." Dani crossed her arms over her chest and Ms. Kelley could see the dissension between them.
"Your struggles would make a very good college essay but it in no way guarantees you a spot, Dani. We can schedule something for after break and we can talk about what sort of college you were thinking of applying to." Ms. Kelley was trying to salvage the situation.
"She should have already been thinking about colleges. It's that damn boy she stays distracted with. He has no future outside of a jail cell so naturally she's not focused." Trish rolled her eyes.
"You don't even know Eddie. I don't know who told you-"
"Oh please sweetheart, spare me. The moment I found out he was a Munson, I knew who he was kin to. The only prospects a Munson has ever had was to get knocked up or incarcerated." Trish knew who the Munson's were. The moment she found out that the boy she was talking to was a Munson, she knew he would cause Dani trouble.
"Eddie is actually on par to graduate on time this year." Ms. Kelley tried but Trish just laughed.
"Oh yeah? How many years has he been a senior?" Ms. Kelley didn't respond but looked towards Dani.
"I don't think your friendship with Eddie will stop you from getting into college Dani but I do feel like your focus shouldn't just be on him. You should absolutely focus on a future beyond any silly high school crushes." Dani put her hands down on the table and looked between her mother and Ms. Kelley.
"I appreciate the guidance Ms. Kelley but frankly the only reason I come to your office is because it's mandatory. I, in no way want any advisement in regards to my friends, relationships or future from someone who doesn't know the first thing about who I actually am." Dani explained calmly with venom on her tongue.
"DANIELLE!" Trish raised her voice.
"And you, mother of mine. You don't matter when it comes to my future because you will never be apart of that future." She seethed.
"Happy holidays Ms. Kelley. I will be going back to the car now." Dani slung her bag back over her shoulder and marched back out to the car knowing her mother would give her an earful but she didn't care. She was so tired of tip toeing around people. If there was one thing Eddie Munson had taught her, it was to stand out and be proud of who you are. It was time she start abiding by that.

Yandere Cannibal Family x Female Reader:
Author's note: This is an English adaptation of one of my one shots from my yandere boys book on my wattpad which is in Spanish. The idea for this one shot was asked by a Wattpad user and I loved it, so I'm sharing it with you.
Warning: Cannibalism, kidnapping, murder, torture, questionable sexual consent, manipulation, etc. I don't support this stuff in real life and read AT YOUR OWN RISK.
None of the images shown here are made by me, apart from the fact that the characters that appear here are my oc's except for the (y/n) since it is the representation of the reader that many of us use when writing fanfics.
Postscript: English is not my first language. I am using a translator.
Now, we can start.
Tumblr media
*Narrator PO.V*
It was midnight, exactly like that 12:00 AM when a young woman was running out of her house.
The woman was desperately screaming for help as she was being chased by her angry husband who had a knife in his hands. He had beaten her up a few hours ago and that's why she ran away. Now she was running as far away as possible while her husband shouted a thousand obscenities at her behind her.
They ran until they entered a forest. __ felt that her feet would collapse with every stone and branch she stepped on as it caused her injuries. With her throat worn from screaming, her feet hurt, her legs tired, lost in the deep forest and on the verge of fainting from exhaustion, she dropped to her knees on the rocky ground in a state of weakness, realizing that she was facing a small wooden sign on a large tree that read as follows:
[𝚁𝚘𝚊𝚍 𝚝𝚘 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙵𝚘𝚛𝚋𝚎𝚞𝚜 𝙼𝚊𝚗𝚜𝚒𝚘𝚗] That mansion is surrounded by rumors about its habitants, which are the father, his two children and a group of Machiavellian servants. The father and sons were said to be cannibals who ate young women; that they ate the wife; that they tortured the girls they kidnapped and a lot of rumors that didn't go beyond the terrifying.
--Please, somebody... help...me-- She heard footsteps of two people approaching. Some were of her husband who was running towards her to kill her and the others were calmer, but she couldn't see anyone in time because everything went black.
Tumblr media
Some hours have passed.
The woman has woken up. He throws a look full of confusion at the place, because he has woken up in a room that was not his. It had fancy decorations everywhere, so the owners must have been millionaires or billionaires. (y/n) looked at her legs and watched them for a moment.
They were bandaged down to their feet, which made him wonder if the Forbeus were really bad people or if they were just rumours. Either way, it didn't take away from the fact that she was safe from her husband for now.
And suddenly something snaps her out of her thoughts. It was the sound of a knob, the door was opening from the outside. Who has entered was a young man with reddish hair, tall, white and a pair of hazel eyes with a relaxed countenance.
--Wow, you finally woke up miss-- His voice was easy to hear, neither too deep nor too soft. The boy introduced himself as Raymond Forbeus and told her that he was the one who found her in the woods injured.
--I know you're confused, but don't worry, your husband won't chase you anymore. Soon my brother Darius and dad William will come-- Suddenly she remembered the rumors about the Forbeus and the discomfort invaded her again.
--By the way beautiful lady, what is your name?-- The boy politely asked and she replied.
--(Y/n) (Y/y). Thank you very much for rescuing me Mr. Raymond. sorry for being a bother-- The lady apologized to which Raymond said that it didn't matter and that he couldn't let a beautiful lady like her be killed, which made (y/n) blush.
Later, the rest of the family members have arrived. The first who saw her was a boy with albinism with white hair and reddish eyes named Darius Forbeus and then he was a tall and corpulent man, with somewhat long black hair, pale skin, a pair of emerald eyes accompanied by a hard look and under from this an elegant and short black beard with the occasional gray hair. This gentleman's name was William. At that moment (y/n) remembered the rumors when their eyes met for the first time.
--How did you discover this house? You are from here?-- Asked the man whom the boys called Father William or simply Dad. She was nervous, as she was afraid that the rumors were true, but she didn't want to be rude to them and ask them just like that, so she thought of giving them a little talk first.
--Well there are two ways-- She answered, remembering the beating session her husband gave her after he came from who knows where and her refusing to have sex with him.
--Perfect, say them-- William asked, settling in the chair in front of the bed where __ was with his children on each side.
--I was running away from my husband. He had hit me before and when I was able to get away, he started chasing me with a knife and in the panic of the moment I didn't notice where I was going to get away from him-- She tried to apologize to Mr. William, then Raymond confirmed that it was true, since in his daily work of guarding and monitoring the outskirts he heard her desperately asking for help and her husband yelling curses at her and he went to the place to see what was happening and he ran into her on the brink of fainting.
--I see. What did you do with the other man?-- Father William asked.
--I already took care of getting him out of the mansion-- Raymond gave his father a discreet wink and William nodded slightly and turned his attention to (y/n).
--All right, then miss, what was the second way?-- William asked.
--Village rumors-- As soon as those three words left (y/n)'s mouth, Darius and Raymond looked interested but William had already heard about the rumors from the villagers about the disappearances in the Forbeus mansion.
--Ah okay. Those villagers invent tremendous things-- William released accompanying with a tired sigh and slowly denying to end up clicking his tongue in disgust.
--Well, I'll let you stay here for a while. At least until you recover, in the meantime, rest. In a while they will upload your dinner-- Then he stayed talking with (y/n) about other topics, like some social issue from the rumors of the town that Mr.William ended up denying him at that very moment, and even made fun of what the neighbors said behind his back.
Or maybe… he didn't deny them all.
Tumblr media
Time passed and _ saw that the members of that family were not as the rumors of the town dictated, or not at all. Both the children and servants as well as Mr. William treated her with all respect as well as she treated them at all times. They checked her wounds, treated them and above all, they fed her very well, suspiciously VERY well. _ did not complain since it had been a long time since she had been treated so well, mainly by her husband and other relatives.
But it wasn't all hunky-dory, as Darius, Raymond, and Father William talked about what they planned to do with it, especially William.
--So father, when do you think she'll be ready?-- Darius asked in a whisper. They were inside the great hall while their tenant was still upstairs in her room taking a nap.
--I'm not sure, but soon, don't worry-- William smiled at his children, thinking about what he would do with this young woman once she was ready, which he did not do after his last love affair with his deceased wife.
--I already want to try it, father-- Darius reproached.
--I also. Ever since I captured and killed your husband, I haven't been able to eat human flesh again-- Raymond begged, agreeing with what his brother said, remembering how they tortured and killed the last girl and then cooked her meat and ate it little by little. They have done this with many young girls and even with their mother, whom they called Mother Clarissa, who adopted them along with William when the children's parents died suspiciously. William and his wife were never able to have children on their own, so when William found the parents of these boys (they were 9 years old at the time), he killed them and after adopting the little ones, he grew fond of them.
He made them like him, some cannibals, but it all happened little by little. He implemented the rules that they shouldn't eat everyone all the time and they shouldn't catch everyone they come across, only intruders of the mansion and young women who entered without permission or that their father ordered them to.
--I understand you guys, but you have to… wait-- The father felt strange about the girl, like he felt about his wife in the past when he met her.
--Ok, whatever you say dad-- A resigned Darius blurted out.
--Ok, ok-- Raymond growled.
--Don't despair. Ray, you can go with Darius to hunt down whoever shows up in the doorway-- The boys nodded and left, hoping to find prey outside the Forbeus mansion.
Papa William was left alone in the great room, thinking about (y/n). Why hadn't he tortured her yet? Aside from the fact that they were fattening her up, she felt like she didn't want to kill her just yet. Perhaps he fell in love with her as he got to know her? Seems that if.
(Y/n) meanwhile wondered when he would leave there. Whenever she asked one of the Forbeus when she could leave, they lied to her saying that she wasn't ready to be let go yet, that she hasn't fully healed yet and that she isn't ready to go home yet, which makes her suspicious. to the woman.
Meanwhile, Father William has come to the conclusion that he has fallen in love with her just as Mama Clarissa did. The attitudes and expressions of his beloved reminded him of his dear Clari in some way, and apart from his desire to make her fall in love as he did in the past, that she knows him, that she be his, that he desires him but on the other hand he wanted to hear her scream, he wanted eat it, he wanted to cut it little by little, let the servants cook its meat and later… devour it.
He was trying to make her fall in love with the good in order to trap her forever, while __ was beginning to suspect because she already felt very good about her bruises and her legs. On the other hand, he was suspicious of Mr. William's sudden romantic attitudes. Especially when I told him 'Why would you want to leave? You have everything here, there is no reason to want to leave; If you marry me you will have a lot of things in your favor, and believe me, my sons like you' And other things that seemed increasingly uncomfortable and terrifying.
This prompted __ to make the decision to investigate and devise a plan.
Tumblr media
Bigger things were close at hand, and __ knew it the more he investigated, getting a lot of terrifying information.
--So the rumors are… real?-- He reviewed the documents on Darius and Raymond's parents, realizing that William killed both boys' parents and ate them thanks to William leaving a clue that read '𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚒𝚛 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚜 𝚠𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚕𝚎𝚗 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚌𝚘𝚘𝚔𝚎𝚍' and on the other hand, she discreetly asked the brothers about their lives and they told her that William adopted them after a moment of vulnerability after the death of their parents.
--Father William saved us from a life of misery on the streets-- Raymond remembered those nine years of his childhood in which his parents were found dead and how, along with Darius, they were about to be admitted to the orphanage of very bad reputation.
--He always loved us both very much. He always considered us his precious children-- Darius told him remembering how William had taken him in lovingly after that tragedy of losing his parents and how he almost became homeless.
--What happened to his wife?-- (Y/n) asked unexpectedly and the brothers suddenly put on a neutral face as they escorted the lady to the dining room for dinner.
--She died but Dad don't like to talk about it-- Raymond replied.
--I understand-- answered (Y/n).
They arrived at the dining room where William was already waiting for them sitting in one of the chairs. He motioned for _ to sit next to him and she obeyed, especially because of her hard and serious look that bothered him so much. His children sat down on other chairs and since dinner was already served, they began to eat. It was a tasty pasta and some good meat fillets that _ for obvious reasons did not want to eat because he already suspected that it was, so he only ate the pasta after saying 'Enjoy your dinner!' to others.
--Aren't you going to eat that steak? I thought you would like it-- Mr.William asked selflessly as he sampled his steak.
--Oh, um… no. Just the pasta and I'll have my glass of wine-- William nodded at his beloved's response. (Y/n) ate the pasta and then drank the red wine which later made her feel tired like she had been drugged.
--I'm starting to get very sleepy-- Expressed (Y/n), doing her best not to pass out, to which Mr.William ordered Raymond to take her to a new room.
--As you order, father-- Raymond complied with the order, took an almost unconscious (Y/n) and carried her gently while she, trying to stop him, said 'No, no, no' until she fell completely unconscious.
--Can we finally eat her, father?-- An anxious Darius asked his father, who confirmed the answer.
Tumblr media
A few hours have passed. (Y/n) had just woken up, but her terror was great when she saw that she was chained to a table, in a dark room and with torture instruments hanging on the walls. (Y/n) began to shake due to the fear and panic she felt, realizing not only the gag in her mouth, but that… it would be the food of that family of cannibals.
--HMMMPPÑÑ!-- She was trying to scream for help while crying uncontrollably in fear.
And she did it once.
And another.
And another.
And again, until she heard footsteps.
--SHUT UP-- William was heard shouting followed by Machiavellian laughter from his children.
And then the door is open.
--You finally woke up-- William and his sons entered the room and while William stood at (Y/n)'s feet, Darius and Raymond stood at the sides.
--I will be direct with you. We are what the rumors say, my dear. some cannibals-- William checked, with an evil smile, stroking the fearful woman's hair.
--However, I must tell you that… during the time you were here you managed to make me feel the same way as my deceased wife. So you're here to feed us from time to time and to be mine. At first my only goal was to fatten you up and eat you with my children, but I fell in love and now it will be mine until your last breath-- The 19-year-olds just watched as the older man in his 40s approached the 30-year-old and kissed her without her consent. The woman was terrified by what was happening and what would happen later in the future.
--I always knew you were doing research on us and planning on running away, dummy, so I had your drink drugged, because I knew you wouldn't eat human flesh-- Then everything connected in the woman's mind, but that wouldn't prevent her from getting out of there alive.
--We'll finally taste mom's meat again, right father?-- Darius hesitated with an enthusiastic smile.
--You will try it when I say-- William demanded and the brothers nodded as (Y/n) was a bundle of panic.
--Yes, father-- They both answered.
And the months passed. (Y/n) was tortured a thousand times worse than with her husband when he severely mistreated her. She was cut and fucked by William in horrible ways, however, one night he decided to play the hunter with her with his sons.
--We'll let you run through the mansion forest, but you can't let me or my boys catch you or else we'll eat your legs, so start running now-- William told her and (Y/n) heeded immediately and started running outside until she reached the forest which was being dominated by the sunset with her heart pounding.
The three men soon came out with their weapons. One with a scoped shotgun, one with a dart gun, and the other with a bat. Meanwhile,(Y/n) didn't know where exactly she was going since it had gotten dark very quickly and her feet were hurting again. When she felt something close she would stay still in the dark while the others, especially William, psychologically played with her, since they were a twisted family of cannibals in which they even killed the old wife and mother and then ate her.
But something happened.
As (Y/n) was running toward what he could see as the Forbeus mansion's forest entrance sign thanks to the scant starlight penetrating through the leaves of the trees, he felt something deeply puncture and break his right ankle, causing He let out a scream and when he looked he realized it was a bear trap.
She desperately tried to get her foot out, but that only increased the pain that so many screams caused her, she heard hurried steps and Machiavellian laughter from behind her at the same time that she felt something dig into her left leg and then fall asleep little by little thanks to the dart with sleeping pill.
--I have found her, father! Raymond's bear trap worked!-- Darius announced cheerfully to his father as Raymond walked over to his new mother's heavily pierced ankle and carefully pulled it out of the bear trap to bandage the foot as best he could before returning to the mansion's basement.
--Time to start the real delight-- William assured.
Tumblr media
(Y/n) was a mess more and more.
--You've lost the game my dear, so it was only fair that we cut off your fearless legs-- Poor (Y/n) was now super sore with her legs cut and bandaged in that area while her "sons" and her "husband" ate them already cooked in a placid way in front of her.
--Your meat does taste very good. I guess we've fed you right-- William added, taking a bite of the piece of meat he had grabbed with his fork like his two sons who helped him cut up their mother while trying to keep her alive. They also liked mom's meat.
--You can't complain (Y/n), I also keep feeding you, bathing you and putting beautiful clothes on you, not to mention that I love making you feel pleasure… in my own way-- Yes, Mr. William has also tortured __ by forcing her to have sex with the excuse that she is now his, that he has not been able to satisfy his needs for a long time with anyone who has reminded him of his wife in order to satiate his twisted feelings. desires, something that their children could not and were not interested in doing for now as far as sex is concerned.
They go out to find other girls when they want.
Things reached a point where (Y/n) didn't even know what day or time it was, he only knew that he was barely breathing with all the horrible torture they were giving him. To make matters worse, William sometimes took to hanging her on a butcher hook, forcing her to be caressed and kissed, and even to waltz with him carrying her weak body while (Y/n) only wished that his misery would end.
He just wanted to die once and for all.
But sooner than later, the day of his collapse came.
(Y/n) endured so much torture that she just couldn't take it and before William cut out her heart after forcibly making her his and again, she collapsed on the basement table and died.
--Oh, I'm sorry my dear, but that's the way it is in the Forbeus family--.
-The End.

Diarmuid for the ask game ❤️
Diarmuid! My guy
Favorite thing about them: How curious he is, and how willing he is to push back at what he doesn’t think is right. He is ready and willing to argue with the abbot about the riders, is intimidated by but still talks back to Raymond in the forest, and frequently is at odds with Geraldus over—everything, really.
Least favorite thing about them: More about his situation than about him specifically, but he’s also young and grew up in a monastery, so he’s also not used to being able to voice his opinions except in certain circumstances, so he won’t argue further if he’s up against, say, Geraldus, who is browbeating him. At the start of the movie Ciarán chides him and so he doesn’t say anything more to the abbot. And it’s not until the very, very end of the movie that he really learns to really outright defy Geraldus. I think the scene at the Norman camp with Ciarán shows that he does get the chance to ask questions and voice his opinions but Ciarán is treating him as an equal and there’s no arguing there—I think that’s what he’s not used to, an outright argument, and so when faced with opposition, i.e., Geraldus shouting in his face, he swallows his anger.
Where was I going with this? My least favorite thing about Diarmuid is that we didn’t get the chance to see him full on enraged. Let him scream.
Favorite line: Got to be right at the start, when he’s talking to the Mute about animals, souls, and razor clams. It really perfectly sets up his personality and is also what pulled me into the movie. I think in historical films characters tend to be portrayed as very one or the other in regard to their beliefs. Either they’re sort of a tyrannical Puritan type (and a villain), or they’re given this modern and anachronistic viewpoint to try and make them more “relatable” to the audience. But people have been the same since forever. That Diarmuid, a young man and a novice who obviously believes in God but is questioning some of the things that he’s learned—well, why wouldn’t he? He’s curious.
Anyway Pilgrimage (2017) best depiction of characters in a historical setting that I’ve seen
brOTP: I do love Dad/Mentor Ciarán and Diarmuid but I think Diarmuid and Rua must be a duo that got into some shenanigans.
OTP: Diarmuid x the Mute!
nOTP: Again, not a nOTP exactly, but Diarmuid x Raymond for a seriously messed up relationship.
Random headcanon: Hm. Well, I do tend to think of him as having been raised at the monastery since he was a baby, which would’ve been unusual. Not sure if that’s random enough, though. Maybe that I tend to think of him as having a wanderlust, but that since he’s also never left the monastery, he’s aware that he’s not really prepared for the outside world, and that angers and frustrates him.
Unpopular opinion: Oh there’s so much anger in this novice. There’s rage simmering in his very bones. I think post-movie Diarmuid is able to tap into that.
Song I associate with them: This was very tough. I think King by The Amazing Devil.
Favorite picture of them:
Tumblr media
I don't think we ever see this particular shot in the movie, but we get a nice look at his whole outfit here.

So me and my boyfriend have just finished the first season of CSI: Miami and his opinions so far:
- He likes Horatio, in fact, Horatio is his second favourite. He's enjoying Horatio's dramatic one-liners and his poetic words of advice. He's also very intrigued by the Horatio/Raymond plots.
- Calleigh has grown on him over the season. Apparently he found her a bit annoying to begin with but now that her character is becoming more developed (e.g. with her dad) he's liking her more.
- Eric is apparently his least favourite but not because of anything he's done, just by default that he likes everyone else more. There's just not enough backstory for him to connect with Eric yet.
- Speedle is his favourite. Perhaps a slight advantage that he knows Rory Cochrane from other films but he likes Speedle's firm-but-fair attitude. He was also very scared when Speedle got shot in Dispo Day (and yes my heart broke then for what is to come).
- He likes Alexx too. Hasn't commented much about her but really, how can you NOT like Alexx?
- He doesn't like Tripp, he thinks Tripp could end up being a dirty cop (but then again he thought Brass would be a dirty cop and then ended up loving him).
- He thinks that Miami is definitely more about the actual cases than it is about the team as there was not a lot of character development over the first season as compared to Vegas (e.g. Warricks gambling, Grissoms connection to deaf people, Catherine's personal life).
- He doesn't really know where Season 2 is going to go other than there will be more about Raymond as that was hinted at alot over season 1.
Most of my predictions have been right so far. I'm surprised that he thinks Tripp will be dirty and that Calleigh annoyed him at first but other than that, everything seems to be as I expected.
It will be interesting to see what his opinions will be over the next season and as new characters are introduced, I do not think he will like Ryan OR Natalia and I think Eric will become less liked as the seasons go on but we will see 👀😎

BIOGRAPHY
tw: death
Marcus was adopted by his parents when he was just a baby. He doesn’t know anything about his birth parents but he didn’t care to find them either, he accepted his life for what it was and his adoptive parents always kept things open for him if he ever did want to know more.
When he was younger he remembers living in Hartley Avenue at first, he remembered his dad working from home and people came and went all day long. He didn’t know what exactly his dad did because he was too little but as he got older he understood more. He admired him for the work his did, the help he gave people and knew as he got older it would be something he wanted to pursue.
As his dads business grew and became more successful they moved out of Hartley and into Horwick. He remembers his dad wanting to separate his home and work life more so he could be here for his family.
Growing up Marcus was a good kid, he always worked hard in school and kept his head down. What he didn’t expect was for Adriana Martinez to make him fell head over heals in love with her. They were high school sweethearts their entire senior year and broke up when Ana wanted to leave Hidehill to travel. He was broken by it but he understood as he was going off to college to study psychology.
He studied at Vanderbilt and worked at his dads office in the mean time to gain more experience, he worked extremely hard to get his degree and felt fulfilled once he graduated and started working with his dad immediately.
Marcus and Ana reconnected once she moved back to Hidehill again 7 years ago to inherit her dads business, of course he very quickly fell head over heels for her again and he proposed to her when they were 26.
TW DEATH: Jonathan Shaw unfortunately passed when he was 29 years old. It was unfortunate circumstances and something they couldn’t have predicted. One of his dads patients shot him dead outside of the Hartley Avenue home one day, it was tragic and it took a toll on Marcus. He admired and looked up to his dad and without him there he really struggled for the longest time.
When he was 30 his wife, Ana, upped and left him out of nowhere. She moved out, bought herself a home in Hove Lake and gave him no explanation. They’re not officially divorced and he hasn’t had much contact with her since.

Question for F1blr: What is Jos Verstappen's role at Red Bull anyway? Why does anyone care what he thinks? Is he Max's manager, or is he officially just some family member who hangs around?/// Jos is Max's dad. Max's manager is Raymond but Raymond was also Jos manager and friend so while not officially Max's manager he's very close to him and they have worked together on Max's career. Jos has always been very involved in Max's career. He's been less hands on once he got to Red Bull but he was very involved during Max's time in Torro Rosso, it's partly why Max was promoted and Carlos left. There were so many issues between Jos and Carlos Sr.. He's always been involved in the contract negotiations and with Raymond they are always on top of Max's career. So you kinda need a little backstory on why he's so involved. Jos didn't have a successful F1 career, it's been said he was a good driver but was not able to show it because he was always the second driver in the teams. He was never given priority and the teams all had issues so he never signed to a top team. He has talked about he used his experience to make sure the same thing didn't happen to Max so he's always been very involved with Raymond in making sure Max made it to a top team and always making sure Max is the #1 driver and even making sure Max has a way out of his contract if they feel the team isn't giving them what they want. Jos, Raymond and Max are basically one unit and they act together and Max's loyalty will always be 100% to his dad so if Jos is unhappy with the situation that means Max is probably unhappy as well but he can't voice it himself on the record .
Thank you!
(Slight gripe: Benetton 1994 was, in my opinion, absolutely a top team. They had the world champion, after all. I have no doubt that Jos was very much an also-ran in that team, but he did have a better shot at a top team than many others in the sport.)

Raymond Ford Wins Featherweight Crown With 12th-Round TKO

Published: March 03, 2024
VERONA, N,Y. (March 2, 2024) — Raymond “Savage” Ford (15-0-1, 8 KOs) captured the WBA featherweight world title with a dramatic, come-from-behind 12th-round TKO win against Uzbek phenom Otabek Kholmatov (12-1, 11 KOs). Trailing on two of three scorecards, Ford dug deep to secure his first world title in the final round, as Kholmatov was ahead with two scores of 106-103, while one judge had it 105-104 for the native of Camden, New Jersey. Kholmatov started off strong, pressuring and hurting Ford with a left hand in the second round. Ford then began to change the dynamic by pressuring the power puncher, using his high guard to stand in front of Kholmatov to land his offense. By the seventh round, both men were going toe-to-toe in the center of the ring. Kholmatov fought on the outside in the later rounds, but he was hurt by Ford in the final stanza. Ford quickly capitalized and landed a flurry. Referee Charlie Fitch waved off the contest at 2:53 as Kholmatov staggered into the ropes.  Ford said, “My coach told me to bring that dog out. We knew we were coming into their territory. This wasn’t under our promotion. But we had to dig deep. The whole time in the corner, I kept telling myself, ‘I’m going to stop him.’ I felt him breaking down as the rounds went on. “I started off a little slow. I felt I didn’t really have the energy and the legs to be the sharper boxer I know I can be. That was due to a tough weight cut. So, this may be my last fight at 126. Then, we’ll go up to 130 and call out the champions there. “I knew I had to stop him. The rounds were too close. I just had to bring that dog out that my coaches were talking about. I always knew I had it in me. I come from a rough background. There’s nothing that can stop me. Ever.” Venado Crushes Abe in Round Eight
Luis Alberto “Venado” Lopez (30-2, 17 KOs) successfully defended his IBF featherweight crown with an eighth-round TKO win over Japanese contender Reiya Abe (25-4-1, 10 KOs). Abe struggled with Lopez’s offense as the Mexican warrior launched forward with power shots from odd angles. A left hand from Lopez caused Abe’s right eye to swell. The ringside physician allowed him to continue, as Lopez continued to march forward. In the eighth round, inspired by the cheers from the crowd, Lopez initiated a flurry of quick strikes, which forced referee Mark Nelson to halt the action at :39. Lopez said, "I turned and looked at my family, my baby, my wife and my mom and dad, and that was the key to my motivation. I knew I had to finish the fight. "Abe was a warrior. He was able to continue with his eye shut. He continued fighting with a lot of heart. We know that Japanese fighters have a lot of heart. But I also have a lot of hunger to continue being a world champion, and I had to show that. “Like I have been saying, it would be great for me to unify. But I would also like to have a fight at 130 pounds. If they put me in against the winner of Oscar Valdez and Liam Wilson, that would be stupendous.”  Welterweight: Brian Norman Jr. (25-0, 19 KOs) and Janelson Bocachica (17-2-1, 11 KOs) fought to a no decision. Bocachica suffered a cut in the opening round. He landed a chopping counter right hand in the final seconds that dropped Norman, who himself was cut above his right eye in the second stanza. By round three, Bocachica’s cut prompted the referee to stop the fight at the end of the round.
Junior Welterweight: Hometown hero Bryce Mills (15-1, 5 KOs) defeated Gerffred Ngayot (6-2, 5 KOs) via six-round unanimous decision. An aggressive Mills fought at a high pace, which Ngayot had trouble keeping up with. Mills slowed down in the final two rounds, but landed more on a defensively-minded Ngayot. Scores: 58-57 and 60-54 2x. Middleweight: U.S. Olympian Troy Isley (12-0, 5 KOs) made a statement in his second fight with new trainer Brian 'BoMac' McIntyre. Isley delivered a seventh-round TKO over Marcos Hernandez (16-7-2, 3 KOs). Isley battled rhythmically throughout the fight, easily mixing in offense and defense, before landing a right hand that dropped Hernandez and forced referee Mark Nelson to stop the fight at 1:30. Bantamweight: Floyd Diaz (11-0, 3 KOs) tallied a unanimous points win against Puerto Rican veteran Edwin Rodriguez (12-8-2, 5 KOs). Diaz landed his counter right uppercut frequently on a game Rodriguez, whose spirited effort was subdued by Diaz's sharper counters. Scores: 78-74, 79-73 and 80-72. Junior Welterweight: Dominican Olympian Rohan Polanco (12-0, 7 KOs) handed Tarik Zaina (13-1-1, 8 KOs) his first loss tonight, battering him from post to post en route to an eight-round unanimous decision. Zaina was crafty on the outside, but Polanco overwhelmed him with constant pressure and counterpunching, dropping him and nearly finishing the job in the final round. Scores: 78-72 and 79-71 2x. Middleweight: Nico Ali Walsh (10-1, 5 KOs) defeated Charles Stanford (7-6, 4 KOs) via six-round unanimous decision. Scores: 59-55 and 60-54 2x. It marked the second straight win for the grandson of "The Greatest," who suffered his lone defeat last August.
Heavyweight: Brandon Moore (14-0, 8 KOs) remained unbeaten with a hard-earned unanimous points verdict against Helaman Olguin (9-7-1, 4 KOs). Scores: 80-72 3x.

the ok ko hyperfixation has hit me Full Force once more and that means an aster rewrite >:3
aster - lvl 4 hero - 20 something they/them - magical girl (gender neutral)
pv's adoptive kid from A While Ago, aster is a college student getting their degree in astrology. they're a (retired) magical girl from a team called the crystalights, and operated under the name amethyst starlight with their friends sunny topaz and lunar pearl. their powers consist of creating crystals out of hard light as long as they could imagine it, and this ultimately lead to them being the tank compared to topaz's sword skills, and lunar's bow and arrow.
however, they were eventually forced into retirement after topaz got tired of aster "hogging the spotlight" and threatened that she would tell the press about aster's dad being a big shot villain aster conceded and retired gracefully, becoming a full time college student eventually there was a leak of the school's database, and aster's big secret was found out. most parents and students were Uncomfortable for a villain's kid to be attending a university which had always been strict about having a neutral or positive hero level, so at the behest of the various complaints aster was kicked off campus and forced to move back home (which. was an awkward phone call to make) but due to both aster's spotless record and the fact they have a hero level of 4, they were given the option to continue their schooling via an online class. aster happily accepted this and is often seen around boxmore studying on their laptop.
aster moving back home was. Weird. them and pv have a strained relationship to put it lightly and aster didn't want to feel like they were relying on their dad for anything, so going through a couple of friends from school they were able to find a job at a local cafe that belongs to their old roommates family
despite the piss poor condition of their relationship with their dad, they get along fairly well with everyone else at voxmore! although they were a bit shocked that pv was dating someone when they came back while they refuse to call pv "dad" unless they're being serious, aster calls boxman "pops" and treats the boxbots like siblings just like they do with fink. generally tries to act as the mediator between all the siblings and tries their best to keep them from ripping each other to pieces (literally)
finding out about ko was! a shock to be honest! but he's still a brother, no matter what the circumstances are, and aster is often carol's go to babysitter when she needs one.
aster has nicknames for most everyone outside of pv and boxman darrel - dee shanon - shani raymond - raymi fink - finky or mini menace ko - lil man tko - hedgehog ernesto - ernie
(often refers to carol as "ma'am" or "miss carol" and mostly just calls gar "sir")

The Perseverance by Raymond Antrobus

ECHO
I
My ear amps whistle as if singing to Echo, Goddess of Noise, the ravelled knot of tongues, f blaring birds, consonant crumbs of dull doorbells, sounds swamped in my misty hearing aid tubes. Gaudí believed in holy sound and built a cathedral to contain it, pulling hearing men from their knees as though Deafness is a kind of Atheism. Who would turn down God? Even though I have not heard the golden decibel of angels, I have been living in a noiseless palace where the doorbell is pulsating light and I am able to answer.
II
What?
A word that keeps looking in mirrors, in love with its own volume.
What?
I am a one-word question, a one-man patience test.
What?
What language would we speak without ears?
What?
Is paradise a world where I hear everything?
What?
How will my brain know what to hold if it has too many arms?
III
The day I clear out my dead father's flat, I throw away boxes of moulding LPs: Garvey, Malcolm X, Mandela speeches on vinyl.
I find a TDK cassette tape on the shelf. The smudged green label reads Raymond Speaking. I play the tape in his vintage cassette player
and hear my two-year-old voice chanting my name, Antrob, and Dad's laughter crackling in the background, not knowing I couldn't hear the word "bus"
and wouldn't until I got my hearing aids. Now I sit here listening to the space of deafness—
Antrob, Antrob, Antrob.
IV
And if you don't catch nothing then something wrong with your ears— they been tuned to de wrong frequency.'       KEI MILLER
So maybe I belong to the universe underwater, where all songs are smeared wailings for Salacia, Goddess of Salt Water, healer of infected ears, which is what the doctor thought I had, since deafness did not run in the family but came from nowhere; so they syringed olive oil and salt water, and we all waited to see what would come out.
V
And no one knew what I was missing until a doctor gave me a handful of Lego and said to put a brick on the table every time I heard a sound. After the test I still held enough bricks in my hand to build a house and call it my sanctuary, call it the reason I sat in saintly silence during my grandfather's sermons when he preached The Good News I only heard as Babylon's babbling echoes.

THE PERSEVERANCE
'Love is the man overstanding’          PETER TOSH
I wait outside The Perseverance. Just popping in here a minute. I'd heard him say it many times before like all kids with a drinking father, watch him disappear into smoke and laughter.
There is no such thing as too much laughter, my father says, drinking in The Perseverance until everything disappears— I'm outside counting minutes, waiting for the man, my father to finish his shot and take me home before
it gets dark. We’ve been here before, no such thing as too much laughter unless you're my mother without my father, working weekends while The Perseverance spits him out for a minute. He gives me 50p to make me disappear.
50p in my hand, I disappear like a coin in a parking meter before the time runs out. How many minutes will I lose listening to the laughter spilling from The Perseverance while strangers ask, where is your father?
I stare at the doors and say, my father is working. Strangers who don't disappear but hug me for my perseverance. Dad said this will be the last time before, while the TV spilled canned laughter, us, on the sofa in his council flat, knowing any minute
the yams will boil, any minute, I will eat again with my father, who cooks and serves laughter good as any Jamaican who disappeared from the Island I tasted before overstanding our heat and perseverance.
I still hear popping in for a minute, see him disappear. We lose our fathers before we know it. I am still outside The Perseverance, listening for the laughter.

TWO GUNS IN THE SKY FOR DANIEL HARRIS
When Daniel Harris stepped out of his car the policeman was waiting. Gun raised.
I use the past tense though this is irrelevant in Daniel's language, which is sign.
Sign has no future or past; it is a present language. You are never more present than when a gun
is pointed at you. What language says this if not sign? But the police officer saw hands
waving in the air, fired and Daniel dropped his hands, his chest bleeding out onto concrete
metres from his home. I am in Breukelen Coffee House in New York, reading this news on my phone,
when a black policewoman walks in, two guns on her hips, my friend next to me reading
the comments section: Black Lives Matter. Now what could we sign or say out loud
when the last word I learned in ASL was alive? Alive—both thumbs pointing at your lower abdominal,
index fingers pointing up like two guns in the sky.

August 2020 unloading
Monday August 31st, 2020
-Work was okay. Woke up almost late, didn’t have time to make coffee or have breakfast and found myself getting crabby at work. I really need to work with Milenna more about scheduling because not all of us including my Boss gets to take a decent lunch break. Rather than getting irritated with her, I think I’m just going to look at things like a challenge/opportunity to grow somehow out of the situation.
-Walked my dog, thinking about how irritated I am living in this house. Thinking about my parents divorce and how I need to move out because being here reminds me about him. I feel like i can’t talk to my mom about deeper things. I feel like it doesn’t matter to her.
-The closer it got to bed time, the more I just kept thinking about the next court date. I’m worried, I’m frustrated, I don’t know all the details, I’m all sorts of emotional and aggravated because I have so much to lose. I just want to continue to work, go to school to focus on my career/educational goals, and enjoy time with my friends and family. Since this incident happened, I feel paranoid and I just want to be alone until it’s over. I don’t want my misery spewing over onto other people’s plates. I feel so stressed out.
Sunday, August 30th, 2020
-Worked at Lokahi for a bit. It was very mellow. Both acupuncturists are starting to grow on me. I adore them so much and it’s so fun. Nothing really bothered me that shift, it was easy going.
-Getting home I made myself supper, then ended up going to my cousin Raymonds house for dinner- sashimi, poke and lobster. He’s like my brother and just came to realize how I hardly see him. He asked about my sister, my dad, and I ended up telling him how I’m seeking therapy. Asking about my Dad kind of pulled on some heartstrings because I feel like it’s a sensitive subject that of course I wouldn’t know where he’s currently at. . That dude abandoned us or whatever. It also was an ‘eye-rolling’ moment asking about my younger sister because she’s really out just doing whatever with her boyfriend, and has her hands tied with that. I find myself not responding to the subject of my dad’s whereabouts less emotionally, which I think is a good thing because it’s like I’m accepting of the fact that my parents are divorce. I still have some resentment and anger towards him just because of the entire situation, but more accepting of the fact in general.
--We were also talking about Hawaii, how this is all of our first time not going back to visit- normally we all go once a year. I really miss my grandma, cousins and older sister. COVID sucks.

-Came to my weekend job, was very productive and called it a day 3-4 hours here since i’m basically working nonstop until Labor Day where I’ll be off. I figured if I have the energy to, especially before Fall semester starts, why not, right?
-One of the acupuncturists came back and it’s so weird because we just don’t click, just co-exist. She caught me up to speed that she was safe and didn’t have to evacuate at her parent’s place in Santa Cruz. It’s strictly just business with her, Holly. I love how that business is woman-owned and I always get a sense of uplifting each other and overall women empowerment. The patients are just as delightful as the staff.
-Hung out with Danny at his place at nighttime. All we did was watch The Flash on Netflix, took 3 shots of vodka straight-yuck. Just simply hung out since we couldn’t go out anywhere as bars and restaurants were closing at 11pm. Hanging with him just made me realize that we cannot talk about serious things like what was the downfall of our relationships. We cant talk about our feelings, I don’t think I was even comfortable telling him I was seeing a therapist nor what happened at the arraignment. . I really just had the vibe that it’s not his business, and there’s no point in sharing deeper things like that with him when it’s not going to change anything. Maybe we’re just better off friends, but I just kept remembering that night of getting arrested that Danny was like my safe zone/ protector, and I looked to him in more ways than just being a significant other. It amazes me how we go to all of that, to just this current situation of being friends or whatever it is. I guess in the end all you have is yourself.

-Went into work getting lectured at by the other chiropractor’s wife about separation of patients because that’s how the chiropractor I worked for wants to do it. I felt embarrassed getting grilled first thing in the morning in front of patients, and I need to have a sit down with my boss regarding that issue as he’s the only one who wants to continue the practice like that despite sharing the building overall. I think it doesn’t align with the philosophy of wanting to treat the community and get people better
--Felt much better when I told Camille how she made me feel and she apologized for being insensitive. Still uneasy overall about the conflict. By the end of the day I didn’t get to talk to my boss because he was rushing out to get to his dinner date. It’s so annoying that he wants to start and wrap up meetings when it’s convenient for him versus a general daily thing.
-Went home feeling empty and numb. It was a good work day overall but I feel so lost sometimes. School is starting, not sure how to go about with my break up when the guy wants to hang out, trying to date but that’s a bit stagnant due to covid, I just feel uneasy overall. I miss my family in Hawaii, I would’ve been there and back by now. I miss my friends from the east coast. I’m feeling clusters of emotions with where i’m at, and just exhausted mentally, emotionally and physically. This whole court date thing in November is eating at me, too. I feel irritated. I did a whole ‘treat yourself’ meal and had pizza for dinner and called it a night with netflix.
--I’m trying to slow down my pace and enjoy time to myself like i did before.
Thursday, August 27th, 2020 -Work was very slow paced, and my boss assigned me to work the front desk so Milenna can practice at the back office duties. I felt so fatigue and physically and mentally drained today-coffee didn’t help.
-At the very end of seeing patients, I talked with my boss about wanting more benefits as I enter the 3rd year, offered me a sign on bonus as I’m worthy in his business, but still want to revisit overall. I ended up telling him I was seeking therapy, and he asked if I talked to one of his bestfriends that comes into the office for treatment. I guess she commented some time ago that if I need someone to talk to, she’ll do it- but I told him it's a conflict of interest for me because I don’t like to shit where I eat. I wonder what it was about me that gave off that impression at that time-i don’t know, maybe deep in thought as the arrest was recent.. Again, not sure.
--On the ride home, I was just thinking how sad I really am inside-it’s hard to think about the lawyer method, because I feel like to contradict negative thoughts- I was thinking about my parent’s divorce and cried a bit on the way home- would be a positive thing about myself regardless being sad (?), and I think there’s no relation. . I need to practice more.
---I also started to think about my grandpa and how I miss him so much. He passed away in 2014 and that’s when I started to smoke tobacco as a coping mechanism and destress. It made me realize how my birthday is coming up soon, and I wanted to quit by then. Time to start cracking down on myself and look at my triggers/habits when I feel like smoking stoges.

-Very productive and high energy at work. Vibed with everyone-including co-workers. Today was also my review with my boss-I’ve been there for 2 years now. Very interesting how my boss keeps giving me more duties to do, but I feel like I’m in the crosshairs of “I should be lucky I have a job” and knowing my worth as I do know the office operations like the back of my hand. It’s a good deal regardless, but didn’t want to sign right away.
-I feel more accepting and less anxious about the next court date. I have to keep faith in my attorney.
-Danny called me by bedtime needing help to change his flat tire at work. I ended up going for a number of reasons: empathy, it took him a lot to ask me knowing that our last conversation was about being friends when I still want to work things out, maybe this could’ve been an opportunity to tell him what’s going on with me and I’m in a funk. . It ended up being a very mellow encounter where I was just watching him change his tire and having his subwoofer stashed in my car. I like to see my kindness not being a weakness, just my nature.
Tuesday, August 25th, 2020
-Woke up this morning wanting to stay in my bed a bit longer. Woke up feeling Zen and more relaxed- not as anxious about the court date today because I put trust in this attorney for things to work out in my favor. Trying to control my outlook and keep vibrating higher with better intentions. Took my dog out for a walk and thought back about my oracle cards last night, and contemplated ‘‘healing”. Thought about self love, and mentally told myself that I loved myself which for the first time it hit some strings internally and I just realized I haven’t said that to myself in sooooooo long. The more I kept repeating that to myself, the more I just felt those words losing meaning, i don’t know.
-Went to pick up a loaner laptop from SJCC as mine has become unreliable for this upcoming semester. Feeling productive.
Monday, August 24th, 2020
-Work was overall good. Not sure what it is with Milenna, but her presence just tends to irritate me occasionally. Maybe it’s because she’s slow paced and sometimes drags my energy down, or she doesn’t do some of her work (?), but when I start to get this way, I go elsewhere to help my boss with patients to keep my energy flowing. Just that quick second of irritation didn’t affect my work day, though. It was a lot of laughs and connecting with patients and catching up. I’d say it was a good day at work overall.
-Coming home felt really uneasy knowing that my court date is less than 24 hours away. I feel aggravated and anxious and very impatient. I want it to get dismissed, I want all that to go away. Maybe I need to declutter my room to get a sense of clarity and peace. After walking my dog I lit up an incense and reorganized my closet and walking space to get rid of extra objects that don’t serve purpose, or that’s just taking up space. Might reorganize my shelves eventually.
-I did an oracle spread for the 2020 year. It’s crazy how it highlights healing and this is the year for that. I took it as a sign to work on myself since I’ve been feeling on the go and wanting to go out and not having any ‘me’ time. Adventure is the fruit of the looms of self-healing, abundance is what challenge will arise, I can thrive through the year with focusing, and flow is what I’ll gain throughout 2020.

-Helping out at Lokahi felt very refreshing today as it did yesterday. Talking with one of the acupuncturists and sharing my educational goals reassured me that I’m on the right track. She was also a certified massage therapist while practicing in behavioral health and gave me lots of insight. I told her I wanted to pursue CMT while retaking health science courses as I’d have a full year before reapplying to the PTA program at Ohlone CC next year-I’m thinking this will strengthen my knowledge and skills regarding the human body. She cheered me on and told me she personally can see me succeeding on that educational route!
-Went to go see Stephanie after work today. The smoke and the air quality fucking sucks, can’t even see the ESSJ hills. It was mellow, reassuring her that I’m happy with whatever she chooses to do with Jerome because he’s a cool dude despite me and him having a fall out. I feel lightweight ‘meh’ about it. Not bothered, but just want to make sure she feels the same way.
-Hung out at Steven’s pad for the first time. Met him from Tinder, started talking and it’s so easy to converse with him. I like keeping my word with things I say that I’m going to do, so that took him by surprise when I actually dropped by tonight. His vibe is cool.
-This arraignment date simmering in the back of my mind is keeping my anxiety afloat. It’s hard to think forward when I feel like a lot weighs on this outcome. Drank hibiscus tea to relax before bed.
Saturday, August 22nd, 2020
-I feel like the universe is fucking with me. A lot of old ghosts-from-the-past are popping up- ie Jerome, Greg and Danny. Like is this a test? Like at the end of the day I just want everyone to be happy- I want everyone to win. I feel weird and uneasy about it, calling Kenn and telling him details about it, maybe I’m getting my period soon.
-Talked to my sister in HI a little bit and was contemplating about telling her about the arrest and arraignment date. Everytime I think about the court date, I hear Theo’s advice that I shouldn’t worry about anything, “it’s just a ticket that you can fight or get dropped” or something like that. SIGHH….
Friday, August 21st, 2020
-I thought today was a very good day at work! My energy was up there, got in about 57 patients in from originally 40 patients. Milenna wasn’t in which made me feel like ‘deer in headlights’ having to be doing the front desk work. Caught up on billing, very productive overall while having fun with patients.
-Best friend Stephanie, told me how someone at her parent’s Subway tested positive for COVID and that I won’t be able to come to the house for a while. That blows, but also having thoughts if this is her way of getting space to date Jerome- whatever. As long as she’s happy that’s all that matters. She’s going to get tested this weekend, so hope it comes out negative so we can hang.
-Surprise, surprise. . Danny hits me up to hang out tonight, then changes his mind in 20minutes as I was cleaning. At first I was calm about hanving out with him, but now I’m like what the fuck. I’m irritated with the whole Danny issue- states that we shouldn’t hang out last minute because we’re not friends yet (?!). I feel like he should’ve just left me the fuck alone instead of dangling with my feelings.
-Getting super anxious again realizing how close my arraignment date is.
Thursday, August 20th, 2020
-I feel unproductive at work since it’s very slow patient flow. I can’t focus. I feel like the day is dreading.
-I feel bad for my cousin’s fiance as she’s putting her dog down tomorrow. I’m more than sad for her and it just reminds me that I’m not ready if my dog were to pass away. Makes me appreciate my dog, Nala, more.
-Talked to Zarinah just now. Even though she moved back to New Jersey I love how we randomly check in on each other. She caught me up to speed with what her and her other friends are doing, her son’s situation- I would’ve been there this year by now if COVID didn’t exist. I told her about my 4th of July weekend, the getting arrested ordeal, Jerome talking to stephanie. I miss her a lot!!
Wednesday, August 19th, 2020
-Woke up to my car covered in ashes. This weather is making me feel depressed, aggravated, super concerned for those that are impacted by it. Hope my coworker Blanca is okay.
-On the drive home after work I kept thinking about my ex boyfriend. I feel more mad and upset rather than sad at the moment. I miss him, I feel low. . but ‘I deserve the kind of love I desire’, no? I should just cut ties and block him everywhere.
Tuesday, August 18th, 2020
-Forgot I was having brunch with Anthony today. Talked to my PCP about my physical and mental health. Told him I was seeking outpatient care because of how slow inpatient services were for behavioral/psychiatric therapy. I felt he disregarded that and was highlighting me to take smoking cessation classes, when I am a conscious change and have begun smoking less tobacco daily. I don’t know why he’s pushing extra hard with taking these classes when I’ve weaned myself off smoking before. But anyway, just got ready last minute to meet up with Anthony for brunch versus flaking on plans for whatever reason (had the just do it attitude).
-Didn’t realize I set another therapy appointment in person with another LMFT today. The first encounter I didn’t know what to expect and got lost just getting to know each other. Went an hour and 20 minutes or so, and I just felt like I was introducing myself to her, spewing more details than anything. She commented she’s aware of my anxiety and can see how mildly depressed I am, but I didn’t really feel it was effective versus yesterday’s session. She mentioned she doesn’t think her methods are safe for me in the state of being that I’m in. Took the depression questionnaire home, but I don’t think I want to go back. She did mention eye-movement method (?), color schemes and blot pictures (?), reprocessing information methods (?). Not sure but I feel like i didn’t get anything out of that session than just highlighting how sad I freaking am.
-Told Anthony via text that I don’t see anything romantic between us. I didn’t feel like pursuing him in that way and see us being only friends. I felt that’s a respectful way to let him know versus him feeling like I'm leading him on, and he just went on mute and became unresponsive. I feel like I would appreciate someone telling me that straight up from the start, but whatever. I feel a bit irritated by it, but I can’t control other people’s emotions.
Monday, August 17th, 2020
-First therapy meeting went well. Broke down and cried a lot, felt vulnerable, never realized how much sadness I had inside. I did feel a light feeling of relief at the end of it. Looking for the next session, while reminding myself ‘it’s okay to feel what i’m feeling”.
-I have such strong adoration for my mom and how strong of an individual and woman she is. I feel very spiteful towards my dad for emotionally and financially degrading my mom through the divorce process (fighting over money, the house). It’s so weird how my mom doesn’t want me to think any less of my dad because ‘he’s my dad’ and I feel it takes more than making a child to be labeled as a father than providing sperm, right? I feel irritated when it comes to telling me how to feel about whatever the situation, because my feelings are valid, too. I don’t want their failed marriage to influence my love life.
-I talked to my bestfriend kenn while walking my dog. He makes me feel calm. Told him about my first therapy session, he highlighted the importance of feeling safe and open with a therapist and finding one that clicks- which I agree and feel like I did. Caught him up about Danny, anxiety with school, and how work eased up with my coworker, Milenna. She used to irritate me a lot, but now it’s water under the bridge. Health is an investment.

"Raymond and Ray" at 58th Chicago International Film Festival
Tumblr media
“Raymond and Ray” premieres on Apple TV+ on October 21st  and is a part of the Chicago International Film Festival. It stars Ethan Hawke (Ray) and Ewan McGregor (Raymond) who play half-brothers in the film. The brothers are offspring of a feckless father who traveled the world apparently impregnating a variety of women, as we learn in greater detail throughout the film. Check it out and see if you agree with one of its stars (Ethan Hawke), who once said, “It’s fun to see a movie that’s made for someone over the age of 15.” These two sons were by different mothers whom Dad (Benjamin Reed Harris III, portrayed only after death by Tom Bowers) gave the same name, and they grew up together. One guesses that the duo probably survived their father because they had each other. A line from the script is “We come from chaos.” Raymond---the more conventional of the two and an employee of the Cincinnati Water & Power Department---convinces Ray (Ethan Hawke) to accompany him to their mutual father’s funeral over Ray’s initial objections. The pair have very bad memories of dear old Dad. Raymond (Ewan McGregor) warns his half-brother regarding their father’s passing, “It’s gonna take a whole lot more than a hole in the ground to get him out of your head.” Ewan McGregor and Ethan Hawke can spin gold out of dross; their excellence in these roles was expected. Ethan Hawke, in particular, plays a character who has been a jazz musician for his entire life and is a reformed drug addict. Hawke really delivers some scene-stealing moments playing the trumpet, both at the funeral and in a jazz club after the service is over, accompanied by co-star Sophie Okenodo as Keira. Hawke portrayed 50’s jazz trumpeter Chet Stevens in the 2015 film “Born to be Blue” and spent about 8 months learning to play the trumpet before that outing. It shows---although Hawke claims no expertise as a trumpeter. Ray’s (Ethan Hawke) reputation has been that he attracts women “like shit attracts flies,” so Sophie Okenodo is written well in an interesting departure from your expectations. Kudos to the writer (who is also the director). I loved lines like this one when the sons hear what a charming fellow their dead father was to others. Says Ray (Ethan): “Does whipping our asses with a belt count? ‘Cause, if it does he was a hoot.” Rodrigo Garcia both wrote and directed this film. Garcia previously wrote 5 episodes of one of my All Time Favorite television series, “Six Feet Under” between 2001 and 2005. Only two other writers (only the show’s creator, Alan Ball, and one other writer wrote one more episode than Garcia). “Six Feet Under” was a great training ground for this film, as it examined the family that ran a funeral parlor, and there are many scenes shot in a funeral parlor in this movie, and a quirky funeral director, played well by Todd Louiso and  Vondie Curtis Hall plays the Reverend West. Others have criticized the writing: too middle-of-the-road, too predictable, and not far enough into either comedy or drama. I disagree. As someone who has been reviewing films for 52 uninterrupted years, “Ray and Raymond” showed the audience some insights that few other films have even attempted and did so with humor. I agree that the many “reveals” became a bit much by the film’s end, but the script delivers some nuggets that have not been examined that often. One Eternal Truth that Rodrigo Garcia illuminated for the audience is that we all belong to something greater than ourselves. But the one that resonated, with me, came by the film’s end when the two brothers have lived up to their father’s odd wish that they actually physically dig his grave, Raymond (Ewan McGregor) says to Ray (Ethan Hawke), “We never really knew him, did we?” This truth is driven home again and again as the duo converse with others in their father’s life, including some of the women he loved and left. I learned this lesson IRL, as someone who has buried both parents. I was constantly being brought up short by remarks made to me about what a lovely, sweet woman my schoolteacher mother was. It’s not that I didn’t love my mother and didn’t think she was “lovely,” it’s that the self a parent reveals to his or her offspring is often a completely different human being than the one the son or daughter experiences. It is jarring to hear about what a great conversationalist is or how giving one’s parent has been---with and to others. That was the Eternal Truth that this screenplay illustrated so beautifully. Spanish actress Maribel Verdu, as Lucia, enlivens the entire film.  A veteran of “Y tu Mama Tambien” and “Pan’s Labyrinth,” the Spanish actress was a stand-out. Certain aspects of the film deserve special praise. The music (Jeff Beal) is great and the cinematography by Igor Jadu-Lillo is, as well. Alfonso Cuaron (“Gravity,” “Roma,” “Children of Men”) is one of the executive producers.     Read the full article

Taking Care
Tumblr media
Pairing: (Raymond x Fem!Reader)
Word Count: 1.3k
Warning(s): Cursing,Mild Violence, and Mention of Drugs
Summary: Request submitted by @mint-opal : I’m very very very here for some Raymond taking care of his femme lover (and maybe some kids but thats your choice!!) and him being gentle and stern and soft but tough :(
__________
“I told you to stay out of it,” Raymond huffed as he placed you on the island of your kitchen.
“And I told you not to do dangerous stuff without me,” You tried to joke as he retreated to the guest bathroom for the first-aid kit and a rag.
To make a long story short. Raymond had been telling you about a revival business disbursing harmful marijuana under Mickey's name. Raymond being Mickey's right hand was in charge of handling the situation. Your husband was supposed to threaten them, shake them up a bit nothing more, nothing less.
You decided to show up knowing you could be very persuasive and threatening when need be, after getting your kids a babysitter of course. There was never supposed to be any physical altercations. However, when things went south, fists went flying, including one to your face.
“It’s my job,” Raymond replied, returning to the kitchen.
“It was mine too,” You countered.
“But what did we agree on, huh? We agreed that...” Your husband started, but you cut him off. “Agreed? The minute I got pregnant, you basically put me on house arrest."
"For good reason," He mumbled before leaving the kitchen once again. Raymond quickly returned with a frozen steak in hand. "Here," He said lightly, shoving the cold meat into your awaiting hand.
"Wagyu, nice," You mentioned, lifting the meat in cheers before placing it on your quickly bruising eye.
Raymond shook his head at your humor, opening the first aid kit in the process. He began to pull out all the things he would need to clean up the cuts on your lip and eyebrow.
"Are you alright, mommy?" a sudden voice called out, startling you a bit. You looked past your husband to see your four old daughter walk into the room.
Raymond turned to your daughter and then back to you. He placed his muscular arms against the counter, giving a heavy sigh. Raymond never wanted your children to see either of you in such a state, especially at such a young age.
"I thought they were supposed to be at the park," Raymond whispered, ensuring your questioning child could not hear.
"I thought so too, they must've come back early," You whispered in response before turning back to your small daughter and replying. "I'm alright, sweetheart; thank you for asking."
Your daughter made her way further into the kitchen close enough to lean against her father's leg and up at you. "Daddy, is she really okay? You know she sometimes fibs," Your daughter remarked, giving the best skeptical face she could as she looked to her father. Her response confused you a bit, did you lie that often?
"Yes, sweetie mommy is fine, now run along and play with your brother,"
"But daddy, he has germs!" Your daughter protested.
"I do not!" You heard your son's voice shout as he, along with their long time babysitter, entered the kitchen.
"My apologies, we had to return early from the park because he fell ill," the babysitter explained. You looked to your son with a weak smile as you noticed his clothes now held a stain down the front of his shirt.
"Was it the seesaw again?" You questioned your son. He gave a meek nod of his head in reply.
Raymond made his way over to your son, getting on his knee so that they would be about the same height.
"Well, that's alright. We just have to learn from this. Isn't that right, buddy?" Raymond asked your son, ruffling his head of hair in the process. The small boy once again nodded.
Your husband stood and looked to your babysitter. "Could you get these two cleaned up, please?"
"Of course, come along, miss," said the babysitter, reaching a free hand out to your daughter.
"Fine," the small girl muttered, not wanting to join the babysitter.
Once the room was back down to you and Raymond, you could relax a bit. Before you were holding back little winces and surges of pain that ran through your body.
"Let's get you cleaned up as well," Raymond said, finally beginning the process of tending to your wounds. He went to the sink, wetting the rag to rid your cuts and face of the little blood that stained it.
He lightly placed the rag against your cut lip, causing you to wince a bit. Raymond looked up from your lips to meet your eyes once he noticed the small movement. He realized you had removed the steak from your now very bruised and swollen eye unintentionally when talking to your children. Your husband pushed the meat to your eye with his free hand, causing you to chuckle a bit.
"I don't see what's so funny," Raymond commented sternly.
"Come on, Ray; there is a slab of steak covering my face. That's pretty funny if you ask me," You jested, trying to make light of the situation. You hated seeing Raymond in such a mood.
"Well, I didn't, and that steak is only there because you went and got yourself hurt."
"I was trying to help," You tried to reason.
"And look at you now," Your husband retorted, removing the rag from your lip. He took it back to the sink to rid it of your blood.
"You should see the other guy," You quipped, making yourself chuckle. The statement was truthful, though. Yeah, the asshole got a nice hit on you, but you returned it tenfold. You wouldn't be surprised if he were in the hospital at that very moment. Unfortunately, Raymond did not find it as funny as you.
"This isn't a joke, Y/N!" Raymond shouted, throwing the damp rag into the sink.
His outburst made you shrink on the spot. You two rarely shouted at each other, but when you did, you knew it was serious. You knew you were in the wrong here. It was no time to joke, but honestly, that's how you dealt with bad situations sometimes.
The room was now silent, you being too unsure to say anything, and Ray still being too angry to talk with you without yelling. Raymond heavily sighed, picking up the discarded rag, wringing it out and bringing it back over to you. He placed the cloth along your brow, just above where you held the defrosting wagyu beef.
After a minute of dabbing your brow and wiping it of now drying blood, he spoke."Look, I'm sorry I just don't want you getting hurt, love."
"I'm a big girl Raymond."
"Yeah, but you're still my girl," Raymond said, dropping the cloth to the counter and wrapping his arms around you in a tight embrace. "And I don't know what I would do if you weren't in my life, in our kid's life."
"You can't think like that," you said, finding comfort in playing with the hair on the nape of his neck.
"How can I not when you put yourself in harms way like that," Raymond contradicted, lessening his grip on you to look you in the eye
"Well, how do you think I feel when you do the same thing?"You questioned the hypocritical man. Raymond said nothing; he knew you were right. He couldn't be too mad at you getting yourself in a bad situation when he did it everyday.
"Please don't fight me on this, I just want my family safe," Raymond basically pleaded. He didn't have much of an argument, but the one he gave was damn strong.
You could argue that you wanted him safe too, but there was no point. Raymond had been in the business for years, even before you. He knew what he was doing; you just had to hope his years of work prepared him for any dangerous situation.
You took a moment to think it all out and finally settled on a decision."Fine, but you owe me a cooked steak," You said, wagging the wagyu in your husband's face. He actually chuckled at this joke, but it may be because he knew how you would keep yourself safe for him and your kids.
"Deal," Raymond replied, giving a kiss to your lips, being sure to avoid the cut that was there.
__________
A/N: Thank you all so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I absolutely loved this movie and Raymond was probably my favorite character. Thanks again to @mint-opal for requesting this imagine. Requests are still open so if you have any ideas you can send them my way. Feel free to let me know what you guys think!
Lots of Love <3
