Menphina: "I don't want Dalamud to be bored while I'm chatting with our friend, and I bet Argos could use a break..."

Hydaelyn: "...You want to arrange a puppy play date?"

Menphina: "Pleeeaaasse??"

Hydaelyn: "You know that I cannot say no to anything that cute. Or to that face you're making. Have fun, dear."

Menphina: "Thanks! C'mon, boy!"

Later...

The Watcher: "...Then they stole and buried a dozen recording crystals each, ate more wildlife, and then tore through the loporrit's newest excavation tunnels and dismantled several helper constructs, despite Livingway firmly reminding them that those are not chew toys."

Hydaelyn, sighing dreamily: "Such good hounds. And so cute while doing it!"

The Watcher: "It's going to take a couple hundred years to get all this fur out of my robes..."

So I've often wondered just how big Bahamut was, upon his release from Dalamud. So I did some sciencing. First we have the Turn 5 stage, which takes place on Bahamut's right hand. The red figure by the player is roughly scaled to a 6ft tall Hyuran man.

This leads to some terrifying revelations. Overlaying the T5 map onto the official art of Bahamut, it fits perfectly. Using this, and our 6' tall figure on the map, we see Bahamut is 378.4 Hyur tall... which gives us a staggering size. Keep in mind this art is at a 3/4 view- his full wingspan is even bigger.

Taking this further, here is Bahamut over NYC. You would be able to see him from low earth orbit (Note the scale in the bottom left of the last image.) I placed him emerging from Dalamud... over New Jersey. If you squint you can see his torso in the fireball. This also shows us how "tiny" the lesser moon was compared to Menphina, the true moon.
