Hii, An~ thanks for the ask! :D The fact that Dalia is your fave of my OCs is clearer as time passes /j it's ok~ I like drawing her too 😌

I decided to draw Knives this time since I love him and still hadn't had the chance~ I was unsure about if Knives would be good doing braids or not, so I went with him "really focused on doing it well" haha Dalia had an accident(?) during her day and her braids came lose, and Knives offered to help her redo her hair~~ that was the idea! Just a doodle tho~

She's laughing inside about how focused he is(?) but won't laugh outloud to not be mean hahah she just thinks it's cute~

WHAT IS HER EPITHET? SOUNDS COOL, AND DOES IT HAVE ANY MAJOR DRAWBACKS?

(Apologies in advance for how long it takes for me to answer these, creative block is a bitch, tysm for asking abt her though, I can't even express how excited I am to have someone who isn't me or my partner like an oc of mine) Her epithet is soothe, but I'm still working out the details of her major powerset, but I can give you some of her powers and the drawbacks her epithet has (these are subject to tweaks and changes however, and if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear em) :]

She has the ability to heal and soothe the pain from wounds if she can touch it (think the ability lay on hands from d&d). Visually, when she does this, a lavender colored aura surrounds her hands. When someone touches the aura, it emits a sensation close to that of menthol. Drawback to this is that her hands will sometimes go numb with the same menthol-like numbness, but this time hiked up to an uncomfortable degree(kinda like when your arm falls asleep but on steroids). This doesn't happen often, but the more she uses her epithet, the more likely the chance of it happening. It can last from anywhere between a few seconds and a few minutes, and she just kinda has to wait it out. Heat helps the numbness fade faster, so she carries around those snap to heat packs in her pockets just in case.

She has another aura, but this one calms rather than heals. The aura itself is less opaque and more shimmery than its healing counterpart. Still affects the likelihood of the numbness, tho. (This aura is less like lay on hands and more like sanctuary, which is also a dnd ability or Molly's silence bubble). She can shape it and adjust how far it reaches (within limits of about 10 feet). Within the aura, it's been described as feeling like the weight of the world has been taken off your shoulders, even just for a moment. Dalia wouldn't know though, all her powers only work on others.

She also has exactly one summon. It's glowing moth things (that may or may not be inspired by the visuals for Here Comes A Thought from Steven Universe) she can summon a maximum 10 at a time, and they're pretty average size for a moth. When they make contact with someone who's not Dalia, they poof into the same calming aura that she can make, just on a way smaller scale. There's two problems that come with them, though. One, she can't unsummon them once they're summoned, she has to wait for them to poof on their own. And two, sometimes when she's nervous or stressed, they just kinda appear. She's not consciously summoning them, but they are her newest power, so she has trouble controlling them and making sure she doesn't summon them on accident.

I'll probably go more in-depth about it later, but that's the basic run-down of it. (Also, sorry for any typos or logical inconsistencies, I blame it on the fact that a lot of the writing for this was done at ungodly hours of the night lmao)

Dalia ended things with you. And it's for the better, really. She knows that. But thorns curl around her ribcage, snake between the bones to constrict her heart when she sees you with someone else. The pain of it is nearly unbearable. It takes away the breath in her lungs and the strength in her limbs. The blood in her veins stills. But in some cases, it is more manageable than in others.

When you are with Aariz, she is happy for both of you. Her two best friends since childhood, coming together to find more in each other as the two of you once did, making each other happier is the best outcome she could have ever hoped for. And if her heart cracks a little more every time you embrace him, every time you smile at him as she once smiled at you, she stamps down ruthlessly on the emotion and is happy for you.

With Adys, things are a bit more complicated. He seems like a decent enough person, but he is also highborn. And Dalia has served the nobles of Reian enough to know that getting involved with them is a very bad idea. Jealousy burns at her, and worry weighs heavy on her chest.

She can understand why you would choose Ralys. She is beautiful, charismatic, and intelligent. She knows what she wants and goes for it. There is something compelling about her, something that draws people in. But there is a ruthlessness to the princess, an edge beneath her mask of the innocent, demure lamb, that unsettles Dalia, even setting her jealousy and heartache aside. Ralys is more dangerous than her cousin, being a king's daughter rather than a duke's son, and she has a bite to her that he lacks. She hopes she will not sink her fangs into you.

Dalia wants to take you by the shoulders and shake you to your senses when you choose Idar. Her heart is in her throat, her limbs stiff with terror. Have you completely lost your mind? This is the man you have been tasked with killing; falling in love with him is the worst idea on earth. What will they do to you, when they discover the truth? Will they brand you a traitor and kill you? Will they drag you to the scaffold as they did her moth--

Besides Aariz, she would have found you ending up with Zara the easiest pill to swallow, save for one thing. Zara is intelligent and competent, and she always takes care of her own. At the same time, there is concern over Malic de Resham, her father-in-law. If he discovers you have made a cuckold out of his son, she cannot imagine the reaction would be a good one. And so she watches, warily, and hopes this does not come crashing down on you.

Okay, so this is gonna be a lil long :))

So how is Sabrinas relationship with Dalias family? Has she met them? What do they think of her? Do they even know Dalia is dating her?

And, I kinda want to make a future AU where everyone is like 10 years older. So can you go into depth about Dalias future? Like, does her relationship w her mom improve? Is she still with Sabrina? Are they married? Children? Job?

And lastly, how would Dalia manage Sabrinas OCD (because that's canon now) and how would Sabrina help with Dalias anxiety?

Ok, so Dalia's family knows that Sabrina's dating Dalia, but their opinions on her vary. Starting with Avery, she doesn't care that they're dating, but doesn't particularly care for anyone in fruitbasket in general (she thinks they're a bad influence because Dalia's started standing up for herself more since meeting them and Avery views that as defiance and nothing more) Carter on the other hand thinks Sabrina's good for Dalia, he hears the way she talks about her, and how much more confident she is around her. Esme likes Sabrina but likes getting on Dalia's nerves more, so she usually ends up trying to embarrass Dalia whenever Sabrina's around(like why whole shouting the word girlfriend thing). Esme and Jasper were both actively betting on whether or not they'd get together. Esme won. Jasper bet against it bc he assumed Dalia would be too nervous to ever confess,but what he didn't plan for was for Sabrina to be the one to confess, so Esme won 10 dollars.

Dalia ends up putting herself through nursing school. She has an instinctual need to help others, and this helps fill that. She ends up working at an urgent care, and her epithet helps a lot there. Speaking of her epithet, she's trained enough with it now to gain epithet markings(like Zora's triangle tattoos or Mera's eyes) hers are tattoo like moth wing pattern on her back. It glows in a faint lavender color when she uses her epithet.

I also feel like she'd go no contact with her mom. She's learned to stand up for herself(well a little) and has decided it's better for her if she cuts contact. Avery still refuses to admit to anything she put Dalia through (BECAUSE SHE'S A BITCH! Who said that? Not me)

(Oof this it late so we already know her and Sabrina are married with 2 kids) As a mom, she's still definitely a worrier. If her kids are out late, she's up pacing around the living room. She's super supportive though, she makes a huge point of being there for Vee and Jasper. Overall, she's trying to be the exact opposite of her mother. When they were little, she told them the same myths and legends she told her little siblings. Worrys that she's a bad parent and that she's gonna end up like her mom. Would do anything for them, loves them to death.

Alright, Dalia, as said before is there through the bouts of depression, she's not good with words of comfort on the spot, so she tends to really on her epithet to comfort her. Feels bad about it, but her epithet can take the edge off of just about anything. Wants to help in any way she can, if Sabrina says the word, she's there, doesn't matter what it is, she's there. Also Sabrina not leaving when Dalia's anxiety flairs up means the world to her. She's got some issues with thinking people are gonna leave her bc she's a burden(Dalia go to therapy,I'm begging you) and even the simplest reassurance means so much (and it helps more than she's willing to admit). Girlfriends with issues that support each other for the win.

He’d gone to watch her perform the night before and had stayed till the sun came up. Something was on his mind, bothering him as he had not slept at all. She chose to capture the moment, it felt intimate in a way she’d never experienced before. They were young then, but she stills sees that sleepless boy who owns her heart every time she looks at him. )
