Everyone Listens to Starkid, Right??
So, my partners (who shall remain nameless. I know you see this) have not listened to or watched any Starkid/TCB productions.
Starkid is a musical theatre production team that posts all of their musicals on YouTube, FOR FREE.
I will provide links down below to some of their shows, but this blog might become a Starkid Fan Page if I’m not careful.
Some Starkid Musicals That Are Great To Start With (And my Personal Review)
A Very Potter Musical - A Harry Potter Parody Musical. Some older Starkid Shows are split into a video per scene. This was the first Starkid Musical, was made when the members were in College in 2009 (almost 11 years ago). The audio and video quality aren’t the best, since it was 2009, but it is still an enjoyable comedy. As special of a musical it is in my heart, however, it has a scattered plot. It is the first of three “A Very Potter” Musicals. Draco Malfoy is played by a young woman, who rolls on the floor. Darren Criss, better known for his acting as Blaine in Glee, begins his acting career as Harry Potter. Made me ship Voldemort and Quirrel. 9.8/10 You won’t regret it, This Musical is Totally Awesome!
Official Description: Harry and his pals are in for adventure when the Dark Lord returns from the dead to take revenge on The Boy Who Lived! So take a ride on Voldemort's flying machine and get ready to go back to Hogwarts!
Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizer - This Musical is impressive. It’s Wicked, but it’s Aladdin. It’s heartfelt, but it’s an absolute joke. It is, somehow, as traditional as Sondheim and as fresh and new as Lin Manuel-Miranda. Long story short, It may be one of my favorite Starkid musicals. Twisted focuses on the classical Disney villain, Jafar. The musical tells a different story from that of Aladdin, however. In it, the Sultan is an incompetent man, and needs his Vizer, Jafar, to care for the country. Jafar, however, is hated by the people, who don’t seem to understand practicality. Aladdin is not a sympathetic Diamond in the rough, but a crazy, murderous, scoundrel. Jasmine, who, to my knowledge is only referred to as “The princess” is a well meaning, but ineffectual and oblivious at best and at worst, ditzy, and incredibly stupid. She is, however, an endearing thing, and I found myself loving her more by the 2nd act. 15/10 THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT, JAFAR!
Official Description: Hop on your flying carpet, because this musical parody retells the classic tale of Aladdin... from the villain's point of view! Long ago in a Magic Kingdom, one misunderstood Royal Vizier will go on a quest to save his city from its bumbling sultan, an invading prince, and the most notorious thief to ever live! With the help of the Kingdom's free-spirited, teenage Princess, the Vizier must find a magical lamp containing a wish-granting Djinn (who's really funny, by the way) and defeat the city's most-wanted criminal... Aladdin! This musical adventure celebrates and lovingly pokes fun at everyone's favorite series of hand-drawn, animated films.
The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals - A horror-comedy about singing aliens who possess people! Sounds fun! The first Starkid musical I ever listened to. *gasp* they’re a... NEW FAN??1!1!!?? Yes. I admit it. I had never seen anything Starkid related (except for the Edgar Allen Poe Murder Mystery from Tin Can Bros... long story) I honestly thought, at first, that it was a guy who was ranting online about not liking musicals. Then, when I found out IT WAS a musical, I figured it was about some guy learning how to enjoy musicals. BOY, WAS I WRONG. TGWDLM follows the title character, Paul, played by Jon Matteson. This musical and it’s sequel gave birth to a lot of what I call Baby Starkids. New additions to the cast. Now, I consider Robert Manion part of this list, because baby didn’t get enough screen time in Twisted, damnit. 11/10. Robert’s Hip Wiggles. Watch, and you’ll know.
Official Description: Everything in Hatchetfield seemed normal until people began singing... Then, they began dancing... And now, a musical pandemic is sweeping the entire city. It’s up to Paul (an average guy who doesn’t like musicals) and his friends to stop this musical apocalypse and fight for humanity’s future.

Aladdin Premiere: See Every Look as the Stars Arrive
Rich Fury/Getty Images It’s looking like “a whole new world” on Hollywood Blvd. The biggest and brightest stars flocked to the Los Angeles premiere of Disney’s Aladdin on Tuesday evening. Held at the famous El Capitan Theatre, celebrities lit up the “purple magic carpet,” as Disney cleverly dubbed it, with dazzling ensembles and beauty looks. Notably, Naomi Scott (Jasmine), Mena Massoud (Aladdin) and Will Smith (Genie) all showed up and showed out in over-the-top ‘fits that we wish made it into the film. The 26-year-old British star looked like a modern-day princess in a billowing pastel pink ball gown, while the 27-year-old actor opted for something more flashy with his multi-colored Givenchy suit and button-down. Of course, Smith turned his special night into a family affair as Jada Pinkett Smith, Jaden Smith, Willow Smith and Trey Smith all stepped out. Dressing as loud as his Disney character, the 50-year-old star donned an embroidered suit while his wife rocked a striking blue ensemble. Other notable attendees at the premiere included Nasim Pedrad (who plays Dalia in the movie) Christina Milian, Darren Criss and many more. Check out all of the photo highlights of the Aladdin event, below. Rob Latour/Variety/Shutterstock Mena Massoud The 27-year-old actor looks like “Prince Ali” in the flesh! 50 Pop Culture Events Guaranteed to Get You Excited for 2018

Ladies and gentlemen, get those crisp, empty calendars out!
The time has finally come to say goodbye to the highs and lows of 2017 and hello to a new and totally cool 2018.
As pop culture super fans at E! News, we wanted to help celebrity lovers get pumped for the brand-new year. What better way to accomplish that goal than to create a handy guide of the movies, TV shows, concerts and trends coming sooner rather than later?
