at one point i actually had a list somewhere of all my veep headcanons but i made it in my notes app for some reason and its buried under notes about my real life but heres what i got off the top of my head

he was a lifeguard as a teenager (he has lifeguard energy idfk)

he was a competitive swimmer as a teenager (again just vibes, he was a god at 400IM)

bpd (purely projection, i feel it's based in canon but i don't think someone without bpd would see it)

substance abuse (so many people in this show are canon irresponsible w prescription meds i mean dc is a stressful place)

he and selina fucked like years ago but she doesn't remember (based on when they almost fuck like idk why i get the vibe that it wasnt the first time)

he had a shit childhood this is basically canon

he has depression+anxiety+bpd (purely based on vibes)

i think he is a lot goofier than he lets on like i think when he is very comfortable w someone he is v silly but he isnt v comfortable w anyone, i just think no one who isnt a goofy lil goober would be able to write an extended parody of 50 ways to leave your lover hes a goofy lil guy okay, he is also rly quick witted and funny like in an alternate universe he is a writer on snl, he's just chandler bing if chandler had rizz

post-canon he retires early after making a shit-ton of money and just kinda travels about w hot women (i have not seen s7 maybe this is canon i know they have a peek at every character's future in the last ep but whatever)

i think he does have like literally a dozen illegitimate children and the doctor at the fertility clinic with marjorie and catherine was just incorrect and the test was a fluke bc didnt he get amy pregnant ?? idk i haven't seen s7

he has some kind of weird daddy issues thing with kent, in the early seasons he rly wants to be friends w kent (i read some fic abt this idfk) and he just wants to go on a little boat trip (fishing trip...? idk i just know hes good at fishing so he mustve done it as a kid right?) w his father figure (the seasickness thing contraindicates this but whatevs)

his brother has kids and dan is surprisingly good w his nieces and nephews like once they get older and theyre like young adults he is the cool uncle who will let them throw parties in his beach house and if his niece has like a shitty bf dan will punch him

idk i have so many headcanons these are just what i could come up with rn

I'm honestly feeling kind of concerned for the CG animators on this film. In general, CGI studios are notorious for overworking their employees and giving extremely tight deadlines, but the fact that the film's release date hasn't changed despite much of production being pushed back during the strike makes it look like they'll be really rushing to finish. I know they've already worked on some of the CGI, but there's definitely a lot more left to do with filming still underway, so that leaves about nine months to complete a project they would originally have had a lot more time for.

I completely understand where you’re coming from with this, my dear. It’s a valid thought and concern. And I’m so sorry that I don’t have the proper words to give you for encouragement. I wish that I did.

All that I can say is that we should be supportive. When the SAG-AFTRA strike occurred last year we were supportive of the team. That shouldn’t change today. It’s our job, as wide-range of fans no matter the spectrum we’re in, to be compassionate and understanding.

#I know that Pat said on Twitter that it didn’t interfere with filming a whole bunch since they worked on some CGI scenes then. They did….#…. The same thing with Sonic 2 during the pandemic. If the crew needs to push the launch date back then let’s be supportive #But understand that this film has been in development since 2021. sometimes i forget that people new here probably don't know teddy's name so missed the irony of this. back in 2020 i named him eugene. and this hockey season i put a r*angers jersey on Eugene. cause i think im funny. ive also started to worry that i pushed my luck and criss crossed my loyalties too much and now both teams are backsliding ;_; but Teddy Gene has been sporting this jersey since the start of the season so i dont think its his fault. both teams have back to back games starting tomorrow before the break and im Concerned :(

#teddy gene's origin was that i bought him in the first month of the pandemic when i realized the guy i was dating would be quarantined in SF #and then years later when i moved into the new place and quarantine was over he went into storage #and then i lost my job and months of unemployment is the WORST kind of isolation so i pulled teddy gene out of storage again #he was named during a time when i had too many eugenes they were popping up like daisies so his name is also a joke #2019/2020 was a fun year #also in my defense when i first started drawing geno i had no idea evgeni could mean eugene #it's not like im intentionally starting a eugene collection or something #anyways he is good for hugs #soft and squishy and you can give his little forehead a kiss cause hes so cute #kind of like a cat but without the allergies #and he roots for both new york and pittsburgh despite the jersey loyalty #jrnlsht

#warning there’s too many typos but who cares #i’m always complaining to myself in my head about how me & my best friend have grown apart #we’ve spent all out teenage years doing everything together even though we weren’t from the same school #we’d still find ways to see each other if not every day then at least every month #& since she started college & then a relationship & then work we’ve just grown apart & it was embarrassing for me really because i was alwa #ys the depressed never busy always alone type & i always ended up felt clingy when asking to hang out #feeling*#specially because she’s a social butterfly & i’m the one who has social anxiety lol but it was always reassuring to have her by my side #during these social events #then the pandemic happened & after things went back to normal.. i can actually count on my finger how many times we’ve seen each other irl #also stopped texting each other which is an important detail considering we used to talk every single day #especially because she’s like. literally the only person i feel comfortable opening up abt things i wouldn’t tell anyone #so i just feel isolated & a bit lost in life without her presence in it... but i’m just a very insecure human & always feel like the plans #& little dates & things i come up & plan for us to do is just... super boring to her (or anyone else)#so i stopped trying completely. which is sad because i miss her immensely #but last november i went to a festival with some friends but felt super stressed on the first day but tried to hide it from everyone #because i don’t wanna ruin the whole trip by being moody so i just kept to myself #ended up feeling overwhelmed & on day2 of the festival we txt each other bc she’s gonna be there #so i just spent the entire day2 with her & her partner & we all had such an amazing time... it really revitalized me lol #& everything felt so familiar even though i hadn’t seen her since her bday in may..#& idk i just missed her. i always felt like this lack of talking & seeing each other just meant that they didnt like me as a friend anymore #or that i wasn’t worth keeping around... idk i’m always expecting the worse which is so unfair to the other person #i know she loves me & that life happens #anyway all that to say that i decided to stop being a pussy & stop mopping around #crying abt how i’m alone & friendless. & like. just text them & invite invite them to see a movie or something #idk if it didn’t work our 2 years ago life happens i am trying again #i won’t find someone like them that easily again in life i think

everybody talks about how the pandemic tore couples apart, buuuut do you think that the pandemic also brought people wayyyyy closer + wayyyy faster than normal??? I happen to know a few couples who had only just started dating and then got suuuuper close suuuper fast during the pandemic (and most are still together, coincidentally) and I just thought it was interesting.

Like, under normal circumstances you wouldn't contemplate moving in with someone you'd been dating for 4 months, but during the pandemic... heyyyy anything goes!

Like, under no typical conditions would you normally have this convo 3-4 months into a new relationship: "Wanna get out of the city and move in with my parents in rural America" <one moment of thoughtful reflectance>..."Yeah!"

I'm not making fun of it or anything, just think it's interesting because maybe our concept of 'normal relationship timelines' is screwed. Like, maybe this is a huge discovery in the post-COVID world. If these couples ended up surviving whilst others melted apart during the pandemic, maybe length of relationship isn't such a big pre-requisite when it comes to making major relationship moves and following traditional timelines doesn't factor much in determining the long-term success of a relationship.

Maybe we don't have to look so hard or so long before we leap.

there's this guy i'm talking to.

i've known him since i was in the seventh grade but we were never friends. since then, we've had little encounters here and there throughout the years but nothing special. yesterday, i matched with him on a dating app and he recognised me, and so we began talking.

i don't really want to expect anything from this, from him. i just want to see where it goes and if it'll even progress at all.

he doesn't make me feel scared or anxious or anything, though. which is new, because usually whichever new guy i start talking to always makes me anxious waiting for their reply.

part of me thinks it's fate, because i honest to god almost skipped on him on that app, but then i thought i knew him. and i realised who he was and i swiped right and then.

but part of me also does not want to make a big deal out of this at all. because every guy i talk to starts out like this. and every time, it never ends well.

I say "lilyheart is a period piece (2020-2021) for no reason" as if it isn't great to have an exact date for events in the story. like 2001 for Nicholas' murder and 2014 for Plum's death. Y'know

Being around decent men, and my partner becoming a man, and reckoning with my own gender euphoria with masculine things has really been a reawakening

I spent a long time in the I hate men camp, and for sure a lot of that came from trauma with the men I considered friends and from my father and from the countless times of sexual harassment that began in my early teens

But I'm recognizing too that a not insignificant amount of it was from my best friend of over a decade, a lesbian & also a Berkeley blue eyed blond WASP who:

-When I started trying to reckon with Gender Feelings told me "are you sure you're not just coopting the Trans movement bc its cool right now or you want to feel like a victim" & I didn't touch my Gender for another 5 YEARS

-Consistently during my first relationship w a guy made fun of girls who wanted to ride a dick or suck one off or otherwise enjoy sex with a penis, and I just laughed and went along with it and pretended I felt that way too

-Disliked bi women bc they didn't date her after she never told them how she felt about them in any way and pined in secret while resenting them and their partner

-Last time I saw her said "oh good you didn't play the Trans Card" after a cop confronted us & told me "you can't just break the rules AND be upset when you catch shit for it" bc I was harassed TWICE AFTER THAT by the cop about having my service dog on a public beach, and I had a panic attack because it was the summer I was also marching in BLM protests and having cops treat us like fucking fish in a barrel waiting to be stabbed

-When confronted that she and her girlfriend (a millionaire) shouldn't travel from Oakland to LA for Thanksgiving and then from Oakland to Tampa (where my family was working service industry jobs & hers own their own firms) for Christmas IN THE YEAR OF HELL 2020 told me it wasn't a big deal, the vaccines were a joke, and then blocked me until the holidays were over because I was being "ridiculous and insane" to suggest she just go ANY OTHER TIME

-"What are you even worried about w Trump he's not a threat"

#probably tbd #there were positive aspects of this friendship for sure #but her thoughts on trans people or bi people or disabled people.......... i didnt realize until it was too late how shitty she was being #i thought it happened overnight during rhe pandemic and dating the trust fund millionaire but its always been there #and it deeply affected the way i viewed my own gender and sexuality and dealt w my trauma arouns men (or didnt)#and it fucking sucks because i love her and shes not a horrible person but boy shes not being a good one either #we are not in contact bc she reached back out w no apology or understanding of where i was coming from and just talked over me for 20 mins #then interrupted herself to yell at me for my facial reactions?!?! and i was like nope im not here for this babe i love you but hell no #i hope shes ok and i hope she figures her shit out........ but also fuck her a little bit yknow

It seemed like the entire world was crushing on the same man: Tom Blyth

Unfortunately for those who watched The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and came out of the theater in love with the man who played Coriolanus Snow, he was happily taken and loved to talk about his girlfriend any chance he got, which lead to fans making several compilations about the times he was a simp over his girl.

The most popular video was a 10 minute and 33 seconds compilation, which had around 445k views.

It started with Tom's interview with Good Morning America to talk about Billy the Kid, the interviewer asking about how he prepared for the role.

"It was during the pandemic, like any actor during that time I was just hoping that the world came back to normal so I could start making a cent," everyone in the set laughed at this, "I was living with my girlfriend YN in a barn house and we were like chopping wood every morning and visiting my friend's ranch. So when I got the part I kinda felt like I was ready for it."

"Your girlfriend, you say," one of the interviewers said making Tom smile right away, "Did she help you prepare for the role too?

"Of course she did, she's my biggest supporter ever."

The video moved to show some behind the scenes of Songbirds and Snakes footage, Tom dressed in his peacekeeper costume and dancing around while Rachel recorded him.

"See this moves?" he got closer to the camera, "I used them to charm my girlfriend."

"And I doubt they worked." Rachel laughed behind the camera.

"She loves me so I'm pretty sure they did."

The next thing shown was Tom sitting next to Hunter as they did an interview for Rolling Stone, the crew just asked about their thoughts on Olivia Rodrigo's single for the movie.

"I love Olivia Rodrigo," Hunter cheerfully said, throwing her arms up to the air, "The new album is so good."

"I'm a big fan as well," Tom joined in, "My girlfriend YN, she's obsessed with her, plays her songs all the time."

"Just so everyone knows, YN is like the coolest person ever," Hunter said, making Tom smile, "She brought us snacks on set so many times, such an angel."

"She's the best."

The following footage was Tom and Rachel's rapid-fire questions with Vogue.

"Can you guess where this is from?" Rachel asked holding up a card that showed a zoomed in picture of a suit.

"That's my Prada suit from the London premiere," Tom asked confidently, Rachel confirming that he was correct, "My girlfriend YN loved that suit, that's why It's one of my favorites."

"Oh I miss YN."

"So do I, so do I."

Next clip was Tom's interview Stephen Colbert, who just asked him if he was a fan of the books growing up.

"I was such a huge fan, I grew up watching the films. My mom and sister used to go to opening weekends to see the movies," the audience cheered at that, "Actually, for my third date with my girlfriend I took her to see the last movie, so getting to play a young president Snow is a real honor."

The video quickly moved to show the lat clip, one of Tom's interviews at the London premiere of the movie.

"Are you here on your own? No date?" The interviewer said once Tom finished answering the previous question.

"I'm here with my girlfriend, actually," his face beamed as he spoke, "She's probably somewhere taking selfies with Hunter, those two are like best friends."

"Is she close to your cast mates?" the interviewer asked again.

"Definitely, they try to steal her from me and I can't blame them, she's the best."
