The best Wickham ever
George Wickham looking a bit worse for wear and being rather obnoxious, but who cares, he is still the most charming of devils.

Death Comes To Pemberly, a BBC mini-series from 2013, may be over a decade old now, but it's arrival onto Netflix this year has caused a flurry of interest from first-time viewers and returning fans.
I believe this may be Netflix in the UK. I looked on my Netflix and it was not there.
Matthew Goode as George Wickham
Matthew Goode, 45, plays George Wickham in the mini-series Death Comes To Pemberley, a role he took on after already making waves with his career with films like Leap Year, Belle and Stoker.
In 2014, Matthew starred in The Imitation Game alongside Benedict Cumberbatch before being cast as Henry Talbot in Downton Abbey.
More recently, the actor has starred as Robert Evans in The Offer, Matthew Clairmont in A Discovery of Witches and Morton in The King's Man.

This mustard yellow coat was first spotted on Carey Mulligan as Isabella Thorpe in the 2007 Northanger Abbey. Most costumes from that production were not original, and it is likely that this coat actually originates with an even earlier production. In 2013 the coat was worn by Eleanor Tomlinson as Georgiana Darcy in Death Comes to Pemberley, and in the 2019 it was recycled for the first season of Sanditon, where it was spotted on Crystal Clarke as Georgiana Lambe. Finally, the coat was seen in the 2022 Netflix adaptation of Persuasion, where it was worn by Mia McKenna-Bruce as Mary Musgrove.

I have been enjoying A Most Agreeable Murder by Julia Seales. I love a good murder mystery but have surprisingly enjoyed the setting of Regency-era Britain. Would you be able to provide any recommendations for other novels similar to this?
Certainly! We too love a good historical murder mystery, so several of us have recs for you.
Brenna: The Wrexford & Sloane series by Andrea Penrose takes place in Regency London and is murder mystery on a more cozy-ish scale. Audiobook narrator is excellent! I've listened to them all.
Start with Murder on Black Swan Lake
Sarah: There is Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D. James, which is a sort of sequel to Pride and Prejudice. It was well-received enough to get its own adaptation on BBC.
Chris (who literally just checked out the audiobook for A Most Agreeable Murder): I would suggest the Dianne Freeman series "Countess of Harleigh Mysteries", starting with A Lady's Guide to Etiquette and Murder.
Happy reading!

‘Death comes to pemberley’ is funny cos it’s like ‘what if we made a continuation fanfic of p&p but made it darker and edgier there is DEATH there is CONSPIRACY there is a SECRET BABY’ and half the cast of p&p isn’t even mentioned but it’s fronted by like. The best George Wickham on screen. And it’s weird but you’ll love it.
