#did I just have a lucid dream

OKAY- HOLD ON-

So I just had a really weird dream last night- a really weird one! I dreamed about how the newest Layton game came out- you know it- ‘World Of Stream.’

I dreamed that I got it for Christmas and that I played it!

I can’t even begin to explain what happened!?

So-

Luke is grown and a detective and friends with this older famous engineer- who made everything in the now highly steampunk-futuristic looking America!?

He was like half robot! Had a visor and everything that showed his little emotions! Gold and blue steampunk-style look with these epic steampunk gauntlet claws! He actually was disabled- an amputee only having his one leg and the rest of his limbs where missing after an incident and replaced with cool prosthetics! He was also half-blind. His name was Arlo! I can’t remember his full name but it was Arlo! It was probably something cooler- but I’m calling him Arlo!

A ‘comic relief’ and mascot character of this little robot character named Whim! They were small and blue and had these little pipes that went from their back to their head which steam came out of! They had a full-face visor that showed their expressions through icons and such! They were like Arlo’s first creation and they looked more janky, goofy but- Omigosh I loved them!?

They were witty and a lil sarcastic but in a funny way and just- helpful and they had character and a story! They were loyal as anything to Arlo and joined the little main cast perfectly.

So like usual- drama and mystery’s occur about some flip-flop book of memories, Arlo looking familiar to Layton-

Apparently Arlo was revealed to be Luke’s older and missing brother, something about how Arlo used to be Layton’s apprentice. They one day went exploring in a cave and Layton being a archaeologist- trying to find the magical book. They find it and stuff happens and the cave collapses and Layton or apparently someone used the book which erased any memory of Arlo’s existence!? Even to his parents, even to Hershel, even to himself??

Arlo was trapped and badly injured which eventually led him to be found by people and living a new life in making gadgets to better people’s lives, then Arlo becomes the tragic villian of the story who wants revenge on Layton and chases him around with a giant mechanical spider mecha. Like damn- petty much? Plus pretty big stretch for a motive… but whatever.

Layton tries to reason with Arlo and apologies- it seems to work as Arlo settles and seems to forgive him before he suddenly slashes Layton across the cheek in like a really cool cinematic moment!? Like in a real tense and real animated moment- even a Luke gasp. Layton does dramatic fall. Hits ground. Luke’s casual- nah crying out “Proffesah!”

Whim also being there and looking horrified.

Luke is angy and Arlo is sad about that and stuff.

Flora was in some scenes for some reason- I don’t know when but she suddenly appears and disappears at times!?

More stuff ensues!

The whole story in a nutshell is just meeting Luke, wanting to go on little mystery’s, learning about mystery book, Layton and Arlo slowly remembering each other and Luke being happy for his two friends to meet finally, Whim moments, Arlo realising and remembering and turning bitter and turning to revenge mid-way and just-

Whim realising their creator is not who they think they am and agreeing to help to hack Arlo’s robo army…?

And then trying to destroy Arlo- Whim is also infected by a dangerous glitch or virus?

Whim practically sacrifices themselves and that part I was crying about when I woke up!?

Like this isn’t even real and I was sobbing!

I don’t know what to do with this dream but it was so random and just so- vivid that I had to post it!

If anyone has questions about this plot I can try and answer them??

There’s a lot more to say I’m just trying to wrap my head around it all!

Straight up had a dream last night that DC revealed that Bart and Kon were dating and it was in the WILDEST FUCKING WAY.

K, so picture this: Clark needs someone to fly around disguised as him for a plan. So Clark goes through the options in his head: Bruce can't fly, MM is off world, Jon is too much of a twink to be believable, Kara is blonde, Kon is.... Perfect! With a person in mind who would be perfect for his plan, Clark flies off to find Kon.

Cut to Judy Garrick zipping around the Garrick's house. Joan is quietly scrapbooking at the kitchen table and Judy is bored out of her mind. Judy asks Joan if there is anything she can do because she is so unbelievably bored.

Joan responds, very calmly, that she can hear "your brother's boyfriend touching down in the backyard, so why don't you go ask him?"

Judy's face jumps from emotion to emotion as three things are revealed at once. 1) Joan considers Bart to be a son and thus, Judy's brother, 2) Judy's new brother is not straight and 3) Bart has a boyfriend who is in the backyard.

So Judy immediately runs to the backyard and is stunned to bump into Clark (who was there looking for Kon) and then the dream continued on with the two of them hunting down Bart&Kon (who were just at school being normal goddammit!!!) but the entire time Judy is secretly out for blood because she thinks that Joan was referring to Clark and that this adult man is trying to date her new little brother and Judy keeps trying to kill him but it doesn't work because Clark is Kryptonian (and oblivious to the attempted homicides).

Anyway, wild dream all around.

#lucid dreaming is the most epic and teriffying thing sometimes #I've been building it up over the years and i feel like im getting to that point where when i feel that space between sleep and alertness #i can push myself into whatever is happening and mostly be in control #for me it literally feels like im walking through a heavy veil #like that tingling static you feel when your foot falls asleep #its like you're detaching from your body and going somewhere else #i can't pick how my dream turns out i kind of just walk through and deal with whatever I'm dealing with #earlier while napping i did it and i was like in my 50s or so checked my mirror and saw my wrinkles then i went out to my car #lived somewhere else entirely and i get in the car and im going down the highway and I'm in the left lane going the speed limit and this #older guy with curlyish white hair and a peppered beard black sunglasses and a white dress shirt is driving a convertible #and he looks over at me and gets pissed that im “trying to pass him” and proceeds to try and run me off the road #my car starts to begin to flip i can feel this whoosh of air in my face and hair and right before i start tumbling i shoot up from bed #like ive had an exorcism and my hearts going like 90 bpm #it felt so real like you couldn't distinguish if it was a dream even if you tried hard enough #touch taste sight smell its all there #i stg for me lucid dreaming feels like im highjacking the bodies of alternative mes in the universe and using them as temp avatars #to experience some weird shit #lmao 😂 #I don't have apnea or anything else like that so not worried there #but shit man #these have been getting pretty intense over the last few months as ive gotten better at it #ted talk info dump #no magenta here #i feel like i need a safe word for these types of posts #magenta has already taken the mantle of complaining/venting

I have to share the most incredible dream I had. The other night, I dreamed that I was in Traitors US season 2. I guess we were doing a night mission and I was running across a parking lot with Sandra (because who else could I keep up) with and she had a Mercedes. Everyone else had huge cars but she had this sleek looking black Mercedes and it suited her.

Then we cut to voting but instead of at the round table we were all on a couch in like a trailer and trying to decide who to vote for, and Parvati throws out, “How about we hear from someone quieter?” and looks around and I, taking this as a challenge, ask, “So are we not looking at Parvati anymore? Because she’s acting real sus. And once I get murdered in a night or two, because she’s not dumb and won’t do it right away, you’ll know I’m right. You can also vote me out to test me but I’ll stand up in front and say I’m a faithful (I was) and you’ll have wasted a vote.”

I guess voting happened after this and I don’t know who got banished. It wasn’t Parvati though, because afterwards she follows me into the hallway (at some point the setting transitioned back to the castle?) and pulls me aside. She opens her mouth, getting ready to lay into me, and I cut her off and say, “You want me to stop gunning for you? Recruit me. I promise I’ll accept and I’ll redirect the conversation as best as I can if your name gets brought up again.” And I meant it too. If I were a traitor I’d try to protect my fellow traitors as much as possible.

Whatever she was expecting, it must not have been that. I had her cornered, good and proper, and she knew it. She looked absolutely murderous. I think she kinda respected my manipulation game though. She looked so pissed and I thought she was gonna slap me or something, but she just starts walking away. And I call out to her, “You look hot when you’re mad.”

She turns around and does a double take, not because she doesn’t know she’s hot, but because me…saying that…? And her brain was processing that information and any implications held therein. I wasn’t even hitting on her, I just wanted to throw her off her game even more. For good measure, I blow her a kiss too. And then I woke up from probably a top 10 dream I’ve ever had.

So i dreamt i was crying in my dorm, like ugly crying. And i guess my friendgroup overherd it. My friendgroup of youtubers i overfixate on lol: impulsesv, grian and wilbur soot. They tried to cheer me up, Grian by telling jokes to distract me and Wilbur chiming in doing funny skits with him. And Impulse gave me some real nice chocolate. Like. Really nice. I woke up because the choco was so good and i was actually pretty hungry.

My special skill that I never talk about is that I am a very frequent lucid dreamer. This is not as cool as it sounds because I still can't control anything that happens, it just means I'm aware of The Dream Deliberately Trying to Fuck me Over, that the malicious entity in control is my own brain that is somehow detached from my actual consciousness and operating of its own accord, and then using this awareness to either get the jump on it by waking myself up in advance or using my spidey senses developed over years of bad dreams to just kind of Know when doing a certain thing will cause a Bad Ending and avoid it on purpose (assuming it doesn't happen anyway)

#my lucid dreams experiences consists of Me vs My Dream (ie Also Me but some other part of my brain that is being controlled by Evil Jak) #did you know that if you tell the dream you know it is fake it can get very very angry at you in response #especially if it just did something that should upset you but you just remembered it's fake and not real so it doesn't matter #im pretty sure i developed lucid dreaming as a defense mechanism for when i used to have nightmares every night as a kid #im invincible now i could dream the most fucked up thing ever and i'd just be like ok i see that's what we're doing today
