Soo I’ve never enjoy the wig making process even with oak dolls. I don’t do anything with my own hair so my skills in that department are lacking.

I grew this wig cap. lol 😂 from glue and cloth

If I don’t buy wigs I got to make them. So here are my three attempts for my boy since he can’t be bald forever.

Lord farquad who refuses to lay any flatter (after ironing, hair spray and even water) made from an old costume wig that I cut up.

Failed boi band that was layered to thick and really bad acrylic yarn that also wouldn’t lay and looked quite crunchy. Cutting it shorter didn’t help that 😂 I trashed this one and reused the wig cap for the next attempt

And final wig that won out. Made with new soft acrylic yarn and cut by my lovely sister who didn’t hack up the job like I did.

Now I just got to finish this child’s face up and actually pick a name. Hmm 🤔 I was stuck between Ajisai which is I believe hydrangea in Japanese (not meant to be an actual name) or Solomon after the non-canon fables of king Solomon from the Torah/Bible.

One of the reasons this Molly McIntire doll is such a perfect mini-me is because, like me, she has hair that never looks like it’s been brushed, even seconds after brushing, as in the top two pictures. (And the bangs - seriously, I had those same thick bangs from the age of seven until my teens!) So a couple of weeks ago, I decided to re-wig her. Instead of an updated version of her original look, I bought this beauty in the lower two pictures, which looks nothing like anything I’ve ever done to my hair. And I love it.
