Warrior Male and Female Warrior are like two of the most phenomenal people on this planet. They went out of their way to share such beautiful words and bring people together purely out of compassion and a fierce drive for sharing a sense of community, togetherness, growth, acceptance, and motivation. Like I'm so angry that this tumblr bullshit has hurt them and could very seriously damage the communities they built for people to find themselves and love themselves.
Fucking... Warrior Male doesn't mince words or shy away from their intense devotion to the people around them. Female Warrior has never been anything other than helpful, encouraging, and strong with the people that needed them.
They're LGBTQIA+ friendly. They don't body shame, or talk down to those who are trying to become more fit or get into athletics. They educate anyone who will listen on how to be healthy, safe, and have fun while exercising at home or in a facility. And the fact that the photos they will post are considered "sexual" or "pornographic" is a slap in the fucking face to these people who have done more for tumblr users than the staff ever has. It's a slap in the face to athleticism, health, personal growth, and unity. It's a slap in the face to Manliness and Femmeliness.
So fuck you @staff because @warriormale and @femalewarrior are two of some of the only people who made this blue dumpster fire worth even half of a shit to the rest of us in it, and how fucking dare you tear down what they built?
So I saw Tom Holland do the T-shirt handstand challenge and decided this was a great time to test my strength against a superhero. Trying to put on a t-shirt while in a handstand is honestly a really fun challenge.
Here’s a little video of me practicing my bo form in my back yard. I originally just took it to study myself but I figured I could share it here as a training video 😁
Frankly, I hardly have a clue how tumblr even works but I thought someone might enjoy these training pics.
About a year ago I started pole dancing. I wasn’t athletic by any means - I could hardly hold my own weight up. Still, I quickly grew to like this sport and I grew stronger, more flexible, more confident! Actually, I gained enough muscles that my BMI is now considered overweight despite looking exactly the same as before and only being fitter - so yeah, scrap that.
Plus point, I learnt that all tummies - no matter how flat! - look absolutely ridiculous when pressed against a pole ;)
@fandom-jumper01 Ik it’s not the best picture but this is from a master class I took a few months back with a famous choreographer! I’m not too huge on actual workouts but dancing has been my way of staying fit and emotionally grounding myself all my life.
My wife and I have become a gym couple! This was a cardio day, but we've also been taking classes like cross-training, yoga, bodypump, and body combat! ♡
This is called Aerial Sling or hammock, although it's not martial arts I thought it would be a cool submission. I'm practicing inverting on the sling which is hanging upside down, it is really difficult to do as it is nauseating, but a whole lot of fun!
I do this activity as extra training with gym work and I find it has helped me embrace my feminity, as I strive to be a physically stronger(muscular) person.
[ I'm not sure if this kind of content was completely welcomed but I thought I'd give it go :)
Feel free to include this on your Instagram, My Instagram is @bee_maiden if you include those details :) ]
Hiya! I’ve just started doing yoga again after about 6 months due to a problem I had with one of my Achilles’ tendons. I find that yoga helps me increase my flexibility, strength, and breath control (which helps with my asthma), as well as preparing me mentally and physically for the rest of my workouts during the day. It’s also super good for self expression, helping with anxiety, and, at least in my own experience, creating a better self-image!
I saw that you asked for testimonials about how your blog has affected people personally, and I'm not sure this is the right place to share such things, but I will try anyway. I broke my foot running about five weeks ago and I have basically been bedridden until now. I felt increasingly weak, but your blogging encouraged me to do planks, stretches, and keep my strength up, as best as I could with my shattered bones. I used to do kung fu (for almost ten years!) and now I am inspired to take up boxing to feel that vitality again. I want to be the warrior I once was! Thank you!
It is the year for fixing my health! Dieting and cardio is where I’m starting! I’ve come a long ways and got a long ways to go! Thanks shield maidens for inspiring me!
