Some thoughts and headcanons born from @k-chips amazing art of AI!Clavell and a more cohesive gathering of my little idea dump there. This gonna be a long one, so strap in.
To start, the meat of my idea from that post (bold is me just adding context now)
It was their (Sada/Turo) invention- the time machine- that got the original Clavell killed. Like they brought our Raidon forward, but during their time back on the surface they realize how much of Arven's life they're missing out on, and Clavell is like "You spend time with the kid, I'll keep researching, when Arven is around 16-17 we can swap spots" but shit went sideways when, while down there with Raidon, the second, feral Raidon is summoned and the game follows the tragedy we all discover.
So, in this timeline, Sada/Turo aren't as obsessed with their research. When they bring Koraidon/Miraidon (just for the sake of convenience, we will be using Pokemon Scarlet as a base as that's the version I play going forward, but remember this also applies to Violet) to the surface, Arven is around maybe 8 or 9 and Koraidon is around the same age based on journal entries mentioning how she "expected one gift of life, and now she has two" after mentioning bringing Kor foward in time, is when Sada realizes she's missing out on so much of her son's life, and that creating Paradise is worthless if it means destroying what remains of her little family.
Enter Clavell: he's still somewhat involved with her research in Area Zero and suggests she stay and raise Arven and he'll work on her research with the AI she began developing, and when Arven is old enough they can swap spots and she can return to Area Zero. She agrees, and after the event causing Kor to be sent back to the Crater, Sada and Clavell keep in constant contact with her and Arven occasionally making trips down to visit.
4 years before the game, the 2nd Koraidon (I'll refer to it either as feral Kor or Rex (in reference to its dex entry calling him the Winged King)) is brought to our time. Rex attacks Kor, and Clavell follows the battle to Research Station 4, the AI giving him updates on the battle. He arrives just in time to see Kor backed into a corner with Rex ready to give the killing blow. Clavell shields Kor, having practically raised it, and is killed by the feral Koraidon.
The AI panics, Kor is injured and flees, and suddenly Clavell stops calling and refuses any suggestions to come visit from Sada. He only communicates via email for a year, and when he finally video calls its to say that if he needs anything from her or if there are any developments in the project, he will reach out to her and to stop disturbing him.
Sada of course is upset by this. Angry that he basically told her to fuck off on what is technically both her and Clavell's research (bc she's probably been working on her research while still raising and spending time with her son), and worried as her friend and mentor has never been like this.
Not sure how Clavell would become Academy Director in this timeline unless Team Star's actions at the school take place a bit before Clavell dies, and just before he's killed Clavell had accepted becoming director, but requested time to finish his work and that Sada be his temp replacement (or something, still working the kinks out on this one)
Anyways, a year before the game Arven- who misses Clavell and is both mad at him for upsetting his mom and worried for his safety- enters the Crater and during this, Mabosstiff is attacked by something (in Scarlet, I personally think it was either a Slitherwing or a Roaring Moon, but the later means that they were lucky to even escape alive, as Roaring Moon doesn't seem to be one to leave its prey alive.).
Game occurs, Sada being acting Director while juggling investigating Team Star, her research, raising her son and trying to help Mabosstiff, and looking into what could have happened to Clavell, who suddenly hasn't been responding to anything despite how he should have returned to take over as Director. She's surprised to see Kor, but AIClavell calls and says that Kor must have missed Sada and Arven and gives ownership of Kor to the player. Sada figures it would be good for the lizard to get experience via your Treasure Hunt and requests you take care of it as it's like her second child.
Game proceeds as normal till Area Zero. Sada joins the gang in the Great Crater partially because she knows how dangerous it can be and she can't just allow 4 teens to stroll in there unsupervised (why Clavell would even request a child enter the Crater is something that bothers her), and partially to see what's going on down there. She's basically bouncing up and down seeing her paradise having been created, but recognizes that should the Paradox mons escape, it would destroy Paldea's ecosystems. When you go to talk with AIClavell at the lab, she stays outside at first with Arven to hold off the Paradox mons trying to get in.
When she finally sees AI Clavell and discovers the OG Clavell is dead, she is in a state of shock. It was her invention, her dream that resulted in her best friend and mentor's death, and that this entire time she hadn't even been communicating with him, but the AI she created to help Clavell.
AI Clavell needs someone to stop the machine as he knows his human self would want the same, but the Paradise Protection Protocol kicks in, much to Sada- who had it as a failsafe should the time machine detect that a Pokémon was attacking it, not if someone was simply powering it down- and AI Clavell- who didn't even know it existed- horror.
I might add more to this, but yeah. TLDR, Clavell stays in Area Zero so Sada can raise Arven, Clavell is killed protecting Kor, Sada is Director instead, AI Clavell battles you.

Tell me the Pokémon music thoughts??? :000
TWO whole Pokemon music asks WOOHOO!!!!! These past few days I’ve been on a kick of listening to Scarlet and Violet’s OST and downloading my faves (since I wanted to wait until the DLC had been released and then play through it fully before doing so) and it might be one of my favorite soundtracks to date. That being said here are the tracks I’m currently the most feral about:
Battle! (Team Star Boss)
The loop for this one is almost SIX MINUTES LONG which is a smart choice for how long and difficult some of these fights tend to be—and it’s six minutes of pure unadulterated musical goodness. Obviously the killer synths and guitars are a highlight here, but what really makes this theme (and the rest of the Team Star themes) special is how the harsh instrumentation is contrasted with sections containing emotional melodies and harmonies that give a sense of determination and hope—which fits in with Team Star’s storyline as former victims of bullying and doing their best to persevere in spite of that. All their themes are also composed by one of their bosses in-universe which is a fun lore detail (shoutout to my boy Giacomo I love him <3)
South Province
This one basically functions as the theme of the Paldea Region—this leitmotif (composed by our beloved Toby Fox) appears a LOT in various places within the soundtrack, particularly in cutscenes. It’s a great theme for exploring out and about in the game’s open world, and the sunny A major is a great key choice which is always a win in my book. I’m also a big fan of the piano version that plays while you’re walking in the overworld (as opposed to using your mount Koraidon/Miraidon) as well as the beautiful arrangement used at the end of the main story (if I had a nickel for every time a piano theme at the end of a Pokemon game made me cry I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice).
Showdown! (Champion Kieran)
I haven’t had a lot of time to get myself acquainted with much of the DLC soundtrack, but I wanted to include at least one in this list because there’s a lot of quality stuff worth shouting out. This is the last of Kieran’s three battle themes (technically there’s four but the final one isn’t a full battle and is mostly comprised of Terapagos’ motif as opposed to his own so I’m omitting it here) and there’s an interesting transformation that happens across each of them—it starts out mostly with traditional instrumentation and only mild chromaticism (which almost all battle themes have at least a little of) but transforms into something harsher by adding electric guitars/synths and more dissonant, darker harmonies (this one makes heavy use of Phrygian and Locrian elements—Phrygian is a mode that’s very similar to the minor scale but uses a flat 2nd scale degree, so for a piece in E minor like this one that would mean using an F natural as opposed to an F#. Locrian is the same as Phrygian but with a flat 5 added as well, meaning B♭ as opposed to B natural. These flat notes serve to darken the overall sound), which corresponds to Kieran’s arc of becoming bitter and resentful as he suffers repeated losses at the hands of the player. I’m also tickled by the fact that his battle themes are all in E minor which is the softest and gentlest minor to my ears—you can hide under those edgy guitars all you want Kieran but we all know you’re still baby :3
Area Zero
And we’ve saved the best for last because this is hands down my FAVORITE theme from this game; it’s not even a contest. I have such a vivid memory of playing through Scarlet for the first time a year ago and being incredibly intrigued about what was hiding in the massive crater at the region’s center (I tried flying/leaping in with Koraidon and lurking outside the Zero Gate yelling “LET ME INNNN” more times than I can count lmao)—and I was not at all disappointed when I got there because this is straight up one of the prettiest areas in the whole game. However. HOWEVER. NOTHING could have possibly prepared me for the breathtakingly beautiful music that accompanies this place—I remember stopping in my tracks as soon as I heard that low brass kick in, and then the chanting. Oh my lord the CHANTING. Honestly I was sold right then and there but WE’RE STILL NOT DONE MAKING THE MUSIC OF THE GODS BECAUSE SWEET MOTHER MARY THAT SYNTH????? TOOK ME THE FUCK OUT—I lose my everliving shit at anything even resembling an erhu in music because its voice-like timbre is so…raw and emotional in a way I really don’t know how to describe; all I know is it rocks me to my core to the point that I have to watch my breathing when I listen to a piece that has one lest I start hyperventilating (because it’s powerful enough to literally induce a physiological response out of me). Needless to say I was frozen in place for at LEAST ten minutes just to take it all in; that initial experience was utterly magical and I wish more than anything I could go back in time to live that feeling again.
But that very long preface aside, there are a couple other things about this piece worth noting—the first being that E♭ minor is an IMMACULATE key choice in my opinion. In my synesthesia it primarily represents what I call “the crushing black weight of despair,” but it also functions very nicely in any intense, high-stakes situation, which fits beautifully with the circumstances surrounding Area Zero in-game. It’s a walled garden filled with invasive wildlife from the distant past/future that poses an imminent threat to Paldea’s ecosystem should they find a means of escaping to the outside; in fact, we learn from the professor that some species have already managed to do so. I also quite like how the instrumentation is vastly different from every other piece of music you’ll hear in Paldea’s overworld, which has primarily been orchestral arrangements up to this point—but here, it’s a blend of primal and futuristic sounds that perfectly captures the collision of the present and the past/future. So yeah if you couldn’t tell I am so so so so unhinged about everything this theme represents and I fully expect to be just as mentally unwell about it YEARS down the line (because believe me, I’ve certainly got the track record for it).
Scarlet and Violet’s music is just so so good—and again, obligatory “this is just the tip of the iceberg that is everything I love about this soundtrack” but I hope you enjoyed my insights into what makes this music so special!

POKEMON RIVALS SCARIAN
just. they both got their pokemon fromm uh ill just say professor xisuma cuz hes just always THE older dude figure for some reason
scar has gotten himself a sprigatito, obviously
and grians gotten himself a yas slay duck (quaxly)
just. them fighting eachother and then scar (despite having the type advantage) letting grian win because hes absolutely head over heels for him
nd then grian being all like "HAH! I TOLD YOU I'D BEAT YOU" and being all proud about it
and they obviously fight throughout the entire region and just the romantic tension increases tenfold through it
until the battle before the elite four, where scar gets beaten and they just kinda look at eachother and don't know what to say because they don't want to go just yet
until grian finally walks over to scar and kisses him, and scar is just very flustered and bf jrufhv
scar just kinda stares at grian and hes just like "tsk you're not gonna wish me luck for the elite four?" with a lil smirk on his face and scar finally snaps out of it and is like "hmm i dont think you need it g"
this took half of 1 braincell to write so its not my best work but i am going feral over the idea
also i haven't played scarlet/violet yet and know next to nothing about the game so the only thing about it thats related to it is the starters soo
- 🧨
AAAAA YES YES I NEEDED THIS IN MY LIFE (going off of SV, Scar can be the rival(nemona) and Gri is just us as players *gestures hands*) so this means Scar already beat the elite four and is a champion and is just following along with Gri ecouraging him and bantering and flirting obviously
okayokokok. Listen. Grian FINALLY getting up the nerve to kiss Scar before they both go through the Elite Four.. Scar after his brain reboots at Grian asking if hes gonna wish him luck kinda just pulls Gri into a hug and holds him for a minute before pulling back and saying that "I don't think you need it G." and is waiting outside when Gri walks out those doors and just throws his hands up with the biggest grin, Scar knows Grian beat them an is a champion now- Scar runs up and pulls Grian into another hug picking him up and spinning him around

hi, sorry for crashing in here every once in a while, would you share some of your writing process with us? I don't know how you manage to consistently put out god tier writing so regularly and would like to know if it's not too much trouble?
my dear my darling you can crash through these walls whenever you want just absolutely rip through 'em <3
So I always find it a little bit funny when the topic of writing process comes up because I really don't consider myself to have one, or rather, not a particularly VIABLE one
But the process goes kind of like this:
Have idea (idea is usually had while lying in bed trying to sleep, or while in the shower, or sometimes as the result of a prompt from my personal server or from an ask here)
Go to work the next day and absolutely SLAM KEYBOARD during my breaks. I have ADD and I am not medicated for it because I am largely well-functioning and I've previously had some uhhhh unfortunate side effects from Adderall, but one of the results of that is that I write fastest and best when I'm under pressure to do so. A manufactured time limit is the easiest way to trigger this, so I have a little bluetooth keyboard that I can connect to my phone, and in my spare time at work I write. I usually do like. 2,000 words this way? Sometimes more sometimes less.
It is important to note here that I used to do metadata entry for a living, a job which required me to have an insanely high wpm type speed, so at my fastest I was clocking somewhere around 89 to 92wpm with like a 75% accuracy. I am at this point probably typing 70-75wpm with a significantly higher accuracy (have not measured in a while, so this is a rough guess). What this means is that I type fast and hard and have broken keyboards, so I can and do fuckin SLAM words out, in very short periods of time.
When I get home, mostly what I want to do is write? It gives me a lot of joy to do so, and so at home I usually work on smaller projects, or answering prompts or asks. In between I play Pokemon or read or play with my cats (I got Pokemon Violet, and Shroodle is my one true love).
So kinda the unfortunate thing for me is that my writing and my reading brain are connected by some mysterious psychic link, so it's hard for me to switch back and forth between them. It means I don't have a lot of attention to give to other fic when I'm caught by an idea, which SUCKS ASS because everyone is writing a TON of really cool and good stuff. I suspect i will go through a hibernation phase at some point and catch up on like a year of fic in 1 month l o l
As for the quality of my writing I don't have a lot to say for that! I have a bachelor's in English and World Literature, which might contribute to just. Basic understanding of the flow of stories. But I mostly don't do editing, I've never taken classes on writing outside of what I took in college, and honestly I think any quality of my writing is more of a tribute to all the fantastic things I've read. I tend to absorb little bits and pieces of other writing styles as I go, so there are concepts and turns of phrase buried in my subconscious going back 20 years to when I first started reading fic. basically I turned imposter syndrome into my identity! (j/k j/k)
idk my friend judging the quality of my own writing is difficult, but if it resonates with other people, if it gives you feelings, if it makes you laugh or makes you horny or makes you think, that's all I can ever really ask. I have to try not to think about it much beyond that because i try to keep aware of my self esteem issues and hyperfixating on whether people "like" me is a problem, sometimes! though thankfully one I am often aware of, and can take steps to mitigate.
so like, the short answer to your question i guess is: have a cool job, regularly give yourself wrist damage, be feral about words. and write. just keep writing. the more you write, the easier it gets, the faster it gets, and the better the words feel!

Pokemon Scarlet&Violet 2nd trailer: Compliments and concerns
New pokemon look awesome! Let others theorize about lore, I’m here for the game mechanics and graphics. Let’s dive in to the trailer for a deeper look!
Tumblr media
^ Confirms what we saw in the announcement trailer: Pokemon centers in the field are like rest stops. Notice the beam of light on the roof, so they are presumably easy to find when you’re out there. I like the palm trees here heh.
Tumblr media
^ Game crests. The designs imply Scarlet = modern, Violet = traditional. Art deco vs art noveau kind of thing.
Tumblr media
^ Professors Sada and Turo however have the opposite theming, and theirs matches the legendaries. Though instead of “traditional” I’d describe Sada “primal”, with the loin cloth style outfit, claw jewellery and ACTUAL FANGS. While I otherwise don’t mind her design, it’s a bit offputting to make your “savage feral lady” darker skinned, though the 3D render is much lighter. Racial stereotypes and whitewashing in the same character, ah. Generic-white-man Turo over there is just forgettable and boring. So overall not a fan of these two. Maybe they’ll have character to make up for the designs.
Tumblr media
^ While I enjoy seeing the starters rendered, I can’t say the art direction is very pleasing. SwSh had a lot to improve when it came to graphics, but its art direction knew what they were doing. These guys just look kinda blurry and their shading is messy and lifeless. There’s hope it’ll improve before release, like it did with Let’s Go and BDSP.
Tumblr media
^ This rival battle scene looks incredibly rough. The trainers are insanely far apart, small pokemon are barely visible in the middle, scenery is completely uninteresting and that building(?) on the left is the ugliest block of graphics we’ve seen in any game so far. Some red and yellow stuff poking through under the “doors” and just overall a wth experience looking at it.
Tumblr media
^ Science guy is here! I just wanted to highlight the contrast in detail between clothing and the backpack, as well as the player character and the npc. A bit jarring tbh. BUT. I do like the speech bubble design. It matters a lot to me - we have to look at these bubbles constantly when we play so them looking neat is a must.
Tumblr media
^ Multiplayer in the same world sounds super fun, a big push forward from SwSh. It also looks like you’ll have your pokemon following you so YES, FINALLY THEY GET IT. The world here looks a bit empty though, so I hope it’s not as shallow as it was in PLA and we have actually interesting things to find out there.
Tumblr media
^ I like the backgrounds here, implying very diverse scenery, but I can’t say the same for the player customization. If it wasn’t for gen7 and gen8 with their sports uniform nonsense I wouldn’t have to worry, but the fact that all of these characters are simply wearing color-coded school uniforms is very concerning. If they lock us into wearing this kind of outfits for the whole game I might as well die.
Tumblr media
^ This is terrifying.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ ^ Smoliv sneaking and catching scene shows us it’s not PLA mechanics and instead we’re back to classic pokemon style battles and catching. Honestly glad, it wasn’t a concept I wanted for all upcoming games. I want to highlight the hideous background though. The completely flat, blurry ground and untextured tree trunks are... well, yikes.
Tumblr media
^ Battle UI is super simplified! I’m conflicted, because although it is nice and sleek, it’s also a bit unpolished almost. Having the opponent status over its head PLA style kinda makes me think you can have battles against multiple wild mons at the same time. If not, the UI choice is a bit odd since it could just use the traditional diagonal corners style.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ ^ Prepare yourselves to people complaining about attack animations, because we’re back to pokemon standing still and performing motions instead of actually moving. Although I did enjoy the PLA mobile battle arena style a whole lot, I can deal with this coming back for now. It’s a stylistic choice at this point, and saves a lot of dev time that they can spend on more important things.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ Pokemart, healing, and? I wonder what the third kiosk is for. Also fun to see that it really is a rest stop, with a couch and some tables. Why they felt the need to keep the “corporations and advertisement are just part of the pokemon world now” from SwSh I’ll never know.
Tumblr media
^ The two most important pseudo-legendaries are in. We can rest easy.
Tumblr media
^ The venonat looked huge so I was excited for pokemon sizes to be back from PLA, but maybe it’s just close to the camera. Gosh please keep the size variations, it was the most fun thing to come out of that game.
Tumblr media
^ That’s one ugly cave, though at least it’s not a path disguised as a cave like Crown Tundra in SwSh. What I’m saying is it’s alright but it lacks atmosphere completely.
Tumblr media
^ Are these gyms? Activities? Some hints towards a new gimmick? Hard to say yet. At least they look more interesting than SwSh gyms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ Koraidon and Miraidon look absolutely fantastic! The trailer-exclusive render of course makes them look even better, but just overall their designs ooze coolness! Nice to have some lizard-inspired legendaries!
Tumblr media
^ If Riddler is correct, they’ll be Dragon/Fighting and Dragon/Electric and have multiple forms that the player can ride on in the overworld. Heck, just look at them! - Miraidon already looks like a vehicle, with jets and all. - Koraidon has literal reins on its head. - Both of them have “wheels” on their chests. Not literally, but you can’t deny the look. - Both of them have handle-looking extensions on their shoulders and backrest shaped extensions on their backs.
So it’s not hard to believe. Personally I wish they just gave me a bike and a surfboard and let the legendaries have more dignity than to be reduced to a school kid’s taxi service.
Closing thoughts:
Overall I’m very excited for the games, but it keeps disappointing me how lackluster the visual design of the pokemon games seem to be consistently. What Scarlet&Violet might lack in the visual department I hope it makes up for with new pokemon designs, a fun playthrough experience and a competitive meta without goddamn dynamax.

i do wonder sometimes if area zero would have hit as hard for me if id played scarlet instead of violet because a) the reveal about the professor’s True Nature feels a little more intuitive and believable to me with turo’s whole futurist sci-fi schtick than with sada’s cavewoman aesthetic, and b) i feel like there’s something so much spookier and more fucked up about the “future” paradox pokemon being these like. cold haunted machines rather than biological animal-things. “badass prehistoric pokemon” has been a thing since kabutops and it just doesn’t feel that strange to encounter something like great tusk or roaring moon which look like cool regional evos or something. scream tail and flutter mane are legitimately cute. they’re good designs in the traditional pokemon sense but that’s also kind of the problem because the robots are just Wrong and i think that works better for Area Zero’s vibe. like “future pokemon = robots” is really goofy and stupid on paper but when you see them in context they look and feel so alien that it’s genuinely kind of upsetting. it fits with the eldritch machinery in the ancient crater, the juxtaposing of the naïvely ambitious and hypermodern tech with the unfathomable oldness of the abyss. like even fucking delibird feels weirdly menacing as a robot, especially when it suddenly starts sliding toward you without moving its legs. from a lore standpoint, if you’re accepting the surface level narrative, then it brings up the specter of “jesus christ what is this dystopic future where all the animals have somehow evolved into nonbiological machines” which is inherently more confusing and off putting than “prehistoric jigglypuff looks feral” which makes intuitive sense and is relatively easy to accept at face value. that logical dissonance also hints a little more strongly that maybe the paradox mans aren’t actually “from” the past/future as the story has presented but are actually tulpas formed from the imaginations of the researchers, because i mean. Why The Fuck Would They Be Robots Though. i do also just think it’s funny that apparently heath’s and/or turo’s sincerely-held concept of a “future pokemon” is “The Same But Robot.” paldea’s greatest minds, everyone

Almost forgot to mention from the patch notes, but yeah Larthetica (Meowscarada) lore exists now
(Tw for mentions of multiple cases of murder and a pokemon going feral)
So, Larthetica's old team belonged to a young trainer, with their name forgotten to time. He does remember, however, that the trainer had violet hair and scarlet eyes, and was a very kind yet unpredictable trainer. One second, they're relaxing in a picnic, and the next they're having one of the members of the team knock out a bunch of Orthworm! And speaking of the team...
Larthetica's team changed a lot, but a few things were consistent:
They would always have a shiny Revavroom named "Denali" that did all the grunt work: dealing with outbreaks, taking on wild Pokemon, always the front of the party
The team rarely had overlapping types, save for two Pokemon being Steel type
And most importantly to Larthetica, they were always used in the same team as a Ceruledge named Scarims. In fact, they're the Pokemon he knows the best, as they met right after the Bug gym, when he was still a Sprigatito! And because of this, they refused to stay apart.
There was a general team that the trainer used, however, and Larthetica knows this perfectly:
Denali the shiny Revavroom
Larthetica the Meowscarada
Scarims the Ceruledge
Tinkatonka the Tinkaton
Squomp the Gastrodon (West)
And most relevant here, Nightmare the Garchomp
Nightmare has always been weird. It always seemed WAY too big for a Garchomp, and the trainer even calls it an "Alpha" for some reason. But Larthetica prefers the term "Feral."
One day, while in the bottom of Area Zero, they were all relaxing, somehow out of their Pokeballs despite the lack of any picnic stuff. But suddenly... Nightmare was either hungry or down-right sadistic, and suddenly dashed at the trainer, ripping them to shreds. Tinkatonka noticed immediately and made some sort of warcry, bashing their hammer into a nearby crystal before attempting to use Play Rough. But Nightmare struck first, causing the ground to fracture under Tinkatonka, knocking her out, before she had a similar fate. Squomp finally noticed after Larthetica physically turned them around, and they tried to use Ice Beam. But, they got stabbed straight through their head by Nightmare, killing them instantly.
Denali, Larthetica, and Scarims all tried to run away, but a following Earthquake blocked them in, or at least stopped them fast enough for Nightmare to catch up. Denali tried to Iron Head them, but dashed straight into a Fire Blast, melting them with a painful screech. However, Scarims saw this as a chance, and unleashed a Close Combat, doing a ton of damage to them. Larthetica tried to follow up with Flower Trick, but a stray crystal cut the small line connecting his flower to his body, so it failed. And then, Nightmare unleashed a devastating Earthquake, knocking Larthetica down and throwing Scarims at him, hurting them both greatly.
Nightmare jumped over, prepared to slaughter both of them, but Scarims managed to slash at their neck using Bitter Blade, doing some good damage and causing them to barely miss Larthetica. Instead, Nightmare's claw landed directly into Scarims' heart, having them start to bleed out their soul energy. Larthetica, with a bunch of adrenaline coursing through their veins, managed to jab right into their cut throat, finally killing them after their rampage.
After the massacre, Scarims was hardly alive, hanging on through their undying will. Larthetica ran over, trying to help them, even getting their trainer's blood-covered bag and trying to use Max Potions and Revives and even trying to give them another Malicious Armor. But even after their efforts, Scarims was done for. Larthetica dug his head into their chest, once burning so hot, and felt them slowly cool down in his arms, Scarims' flame dying out with their life.
After this happened, Larthetica managed to get a Flying Taxi using the trainer's Rotom-Phone, trying to ask for help, but the Taxi got too scared and left, believing him to be the killer. Then, in a mix of fear, rage, and sadness, they grabbed the trainer's belongings and Scarims' armor that once housed their flaming body, then used one of the teleporters to get out of Area Zero.
After this, Larthetica disappeared from everything for a while, mourning the loss of everyone they cared for, as the Pokemon in the trainer's boxes got released, making sure he was completely alone. He still knows this spot, and treats it as his home; perhaps he keeps Scarims' armor tucked away. He learned English over there, teaching himself, and finally began going into the public, FAR away from Paldea. And somehow, he got a job at a high tech bar.
...this thing took an entire hour to make, but that's all. Nowadays, Larthetica has majorly suppressed these memories, but will still kill any Garchomp he sees. Perhaps one day, he'll truly move past the death of all his friends, and especially the end of the battle-ready spirit he cares for the most.

So now that Scarlet and Violet are out, what do you think of them?
I have not actually played Scarlet and Violet yet. I tend to focus more on the side games (Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Go) than the main titles.
With that said, I still have OPINIONS on the designs.
Tumblr media
The starters are a mixed bag. I would still pick Sprigatito, because I like its starter and middle forms, although Meowscarada is underwhelming. Fuecoco was my least favorite starter, and its mid-form somehow got worse, but Skeledirge has by far the best design of the final forms. As for the duck man...he's just there.
Tumblr media
2. I love the idea of Paradox Pokemon. As much as I like Miraidon, Scarlet's options feel so much more creative than "we turned all these Pokemon into robots." No shade to Violet fans though.
But look at this feral marshmallow! How can you not choose Screamo Jigglypuff?
Tumblr media
3. As for the newer Pokemon: like every generation, there are some hits and misses. My favorite newbie has got to be Grafaiai, although Chien-Pao is a close second. Wiglett still haunts my soul.

FIRST GAME: LeafGreen. I have two brothers, and each got either FireRed or LeafGreen. I played both when they got bored/finished and moved on.
FAVOURITE SPINOFF GAME: I’m going to be honest, Arceus is the only one I’ve really played. But I do thoroughly enjoy it.
FAVOURITE EVIL TEAM: I’m going to call it a tie between Rocket and Flare.
FAVOURITE TEAM LEADER: I know they’re not the leader, necessarily, but I am just so fond of the Rocket Executives. As far as a real leader goes, then I am actually going to go with Lysandre.
FAVOURITE STARTER: SQUIRTLE
FAVOURITE BOX LEGENDARY: Koraidon has my entire heart. I chose Scarlet purely for that funky lizard and I have no regrets.
FAVOURITE POKEMON: I live for the eeveelutions. As far as specifics go, I have a hard time picking an actual fave...I’ll call it a draw between Vaporeon, Umbreon, and Espeon.
FAVOURITE PROFESSOR: Professor Sycamore my beloved. But then again, Professor Willow from Pokémon GO is very endearing...
FAVOURITE RIVAL: Easily going to be Silver
FAVOURITE CHAMPION: Easily going to be Leon
FAVOURITE CHARACTER (if not already covered): Going to once again give it to the Rocket Executives, but don’t make me pick between them. There’s a reason I write both Ariana and Proton, and am always going feral for my friends writing Archer and Petrel.
FAVOURITE STORY: Scarlet/Violet’s story really got me in a way that none of the other games really...came close to, beyond maybe Arceus.
FAVOURITE MUSIC: Okay I am really sorry for this one, but I don’t usually play with the sound on, or with it on very high if I do. I...don’t hear very well, and have just gotten accustomed to not really trying.
FAVOURITE REGION OVERALL: I will forever be attached to Kanto and Johto, just for nostalgia’s sake.

Paradox Bewear or Unrelenting Grasp. I was going to call it like Iron Grip as a joke as well it hold to be like Iron and playing on/stealing the Violet paradox naming system but I decided to change it ultimately.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unrelenting Grasp has aspects of all the bear type pokemon, with Pangoros pants and hair, Ursarings rectangular features and less noticeable/the weakest connection but claws like Beartic (tho they had the least inspiration in this design ultimately as its just a bear with an ice bear and crotch fluff)
I imagine they're like an ancient feral cave bear equivalent a theorised common ancestor perhaps or something.
They were gonna have a violet future paradox form which was the absolute most neutered form of any kind of bear a robotic bear companion thing meant to be cute with everything they disliked about the others taken out of it. It had floating hands like Iron Hands so it couldn't crush kids in its arms, stumpy legs so it couldn't run at speeds ect
Ultimately I didn't have the energy to finish it and it was too among us shaped and I knew it'd get memed to hell and I just couldn't work out now to make it look robotic futuristic or a nice color scheme so you get past form only lmao

I’m not going to say which verision is better since I only played Scarlet, but I think a storyline about the past is better than pokemon from the future.  You could already see the interest in Legends of Arceus with the older versions of current pokemon and what the land was before Sinnoh.  not to mention that there is so much untouched lore in the pokemon world that is only hinted at in the games, pokedex entries, and anime and a game that focuses on the past of the pokemon world would be great to see.  Not to mention that in every game until scarlet and violet there have been fossil pokemon, the fact that we don’t get to see them or their original forms, especially the gen 8 fossil types, where we don’t get to see any of the original 4 pokemon, just the fusions of them
I think the time travel aspect of S+V was a let down overall, only really hinted at in the titan pokemon and post the main story.  It was fine, but underused for something that should have been a bigger draw being the this vs that reason for there being 2 games.  I disliked most of the designs and choices for the paradox pokemon with only 7 per game it was a let down.  I prefer the scarlet past pokemon, but that’s because all the future ones looked just like the pokemon if they got robotacized, vs the more feral ancestor look of the past pokemon.  Not saying they’re much better, but I think they’re better nontheless. I think there are a lot of different pokemon that could have been chosen for either game’s paradox pokemon and what they chose was a let down.
Even the region is set up for a lost world type of setting with the area zero crater.  The fact that the paradox pokemon was due to the pokemon professor creating a time machine was pretty dumb.  When it could just be that it is such a dangerous untouched place that certain pokemon never evolved to their current versions and for some reason now they’re starting to leave the crater for reasons no one knows until the player goes there.
I think if you focused on the past or time travel aspect of the game, it would have made for a better story.  and in doing so you could make it have pokemon from the past, including Hisui letting you use those pokemon despite not being in their region, not just prehistoric.  I personally am not super interested in the ‘future’ side of Scarlet and Violet because we don’t know how far into the future the paradox pokemon come from, we don’t know anything about that or why all the pokemon from that timeline look like they’ve been dipped in chrome. If you don’t do a chrono trigger and give some dates for when the world ended and how they could be stopped, then it’s kind of pointless as a concept.
The concept of the violet book doesn’t really work either compared to the scarlet book which we know were written by Heath 200 years before scarlet and violet because of our history classes.  One is about prehistoric pokemon, the other is somehow about pokemon that are from the future.  if it was a lost world thing it would make sense for the prehistoric pokemon to still be around even if the explanation is that there are currently paradox pokemon because of Sada/Turo’s time machine going crazy.  So how could Heath write about the future pokemon who shouldn’t be in the Crater if the time machine is a recent creation.
I’m not saying that a game either set in the future of the pokemon world or even a sequel to a game where you get glimpse of a future after the end and you have to stop it in the game wouldn’t be cool.  But it doesn’t work to me as the x and y, red and blue, split the game tried to do.  And if you did a game about time travel focused on the past, you could then do one on the future.  This is a mess but I’m posting it anyway because that’s how I get my thoughts out.  if any of this is interesting to you please let me know, I’d like to talk about what other people have thought.

tinkaton is from pokemon scarlet and violet, its basically a cute pink creature holding a giant metal hammer, it would be a perfect pokemon buddy for gregory, pure feral energy with those 2. also his tinkaton's hammer is probably made of burntrap's scrapped parts.
Oh whoops did I make it out like I don't know Tinkaton? Yeah that's one of the few I've seen around since the game release. I've not played Scarlet, Violet, Sowrd or Shield is all I meant with that.
If you wanna trust a ten year old, animatronic destroying Gregory with a fucking Tinkaton then you go right ahead man. I personally wouldn't trust him with a level 1 Magikarp. He'd somehow evolve it within thirty seconds and blow the Plex sky high with it.
There's probably loads he could have but I'm honestly drawing a blank :(
The scrap hammer is a cool idea though that’s neat as hell and have you thought of a Trubbish made out of the scraps too? Lotta potential there

for the kpop group game:
ONF (ah Goosebumps is on top... it's not my favorite title song...)
and
TXT if no one else has sent them! I know you probably want to talk about them~💖(the outfits they had on gayo daejun were so pretty)
i have no idea what this concept was about but, i will gladly check out ONF and i will rant about txt with no context since i dont remmebr what was this about.
more at five as i say im doing this bcs im porcastinating hw
its spring break but i have so much to do and im mad about it.
anyways TXT its a 5 member group debutted in march 4 from Big Hit music, before hybe was a thing. with the song CROWN about getting horns on your head.
the five members are Soobin(2000, leader):
hes introverted, bad at sports and is probably the only one who actually behaves like a normal human being and not a gremlin, he speaks and you think "wow common sense", he likes videogames, gengar, ice cream, to be continued....
Tumblr media
Yeonjun(1999)
Tumblr media
He looks intimitadting and like a sharp bad boy but hes actually a loser(friendly), hes competitive, and too intense the way guys playing soccer are, hes a skilled dancer and seems to call everyone darling as a joke,,,,,, ish. he had pink hair and extensions in blue hour and he was also a cowboy in tight clothes
Tumblr media
NOW its beomgyu(2001):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
he used to have longer hair last comeback and now its short, he has a lower/deeper voice than the rest, and has a heavy lisp mostly noticeable when he speaks, he screams a LOT, he likes IU and bts a lot, and ballads and hes kinda funny bcs hes a gremlin but is really into romantic stuff and vintage stuff like letters, sharing music, teddy bears and he spends 40% time screaming, he participated in the song Maze in the Mirror, which i love!.(edit link later)
now this is Taehyun(2002)
Tumblr media
hes funny and easy to explain bcs he has many things he really really likes. he is also more into logical side? its kinda funny bcs youd never guess hed pick music but here he is, he is a great vocalist and my favourite thing about him is when he rambles technical stuff about music you can see he gets excited, he likes learning stuff, evidently can be a fun fact enciclopedia; can do card magic tricks??? for some reason???? clearly has common sense he ignores on purpose. hes a big brain but hes also a gym rat, hes really into weightlifting and boxing and sports and also recently into cooking!, he shares all this shenanigans in weverse with us like the cooking knives he got as birthday present back in february. hes a shawol! has constantly recommended SHINee songs before, he recommended dejaboo on jjongs bday, and watched Taemin perform heaving live and almost exploded the video is adorable. hes also a pokemon nerd and the NERD ones like the ones that played the core games, hes very close with:
HueningKai(2002) i call him a variation of Kai, huening, hueningkai, hyuka and ning.
Tumblr media
hes ALWAYS doing that "shh" motion in selfies, aja. hes the youngest of the group and also a great vocalist, his family is music inclined so he has lived around it his whole life, he can play some guitar and can really play the piano well, GREAT, he is adorable, youd assume his playlist is bubblegum but im sure its rock from mid 2010s and anime openings. he has a huge plushie collection he often shows:
Tumblr media
and hes also a BIG anime nerd apparently, Soobin says hes watched everything and he sounds like he did, he recommends violet evergarden and clannad as well as angelbeats. personality wise hes, cute and also seems the kind of person whos a bit shy at the beginning but very noisy when you get used to him, also bcs his laugh is VERY high pitched, really. he doesnt mind loosing or giving points to others so they win, and i think its either bcs he doesnt care much about winning or he knows the others will go feral over competition, he also doesnt seem to like much adrenaline like intense roller coasters, hes a softie. he is too a pokemon nerd(games) like Taehyun. HE WORKED IN ROLLER COASTER AND DEAR SPUTNIK in one vlive there were absolutely talking about the games and poor yeonjun was on the side like "yeah i saw this pokemon once" and Taehyun and Huening (aka tyunning) were like "Pokemon heart gold soul silver the Gold and silver remakes are the only pokemon games where you are able to travel between two regions. the game difficulty incredibly decreased as the generations advanced but the easiest by far was generation 6th with x and y the hardest being Pokemon soul silver" and yeonjun was like "oh cool i played soul silver i think lugia is cute :)"
music i recommend
