Was thinking about Fraggy things...

Had a couple head canons come to mind... Mostly thoughts on Fred and his Bimbo-ness

Just to set things up I like the idea of them all being close childhood friends like in A Pup Named Scooby Doo.

Because Fred and Daphne seem more like the high school sweethearts people always asked them if they were dating.

Eventually they caved and tried dating eachother but realised they felt more like best friends then a couple plus Daphne realises she has a crush on Velma (#lesbian visability).

Anyway back to Freddy

My head-canon is that Freddy finds Shaggy really attractive,

He thinks in his mind that it's totally platonic like "no homo" but it's really not.

Like Velma and Daphne don't think Shaggy is ugly,

And they notice that he's weirdly popular, they just don't see the appeal (cuz they're gay for eachother but also Shaggy is like a brother to them). But they both think it's kinda suss how much Fred compliments his appearance.

(Like they both notice how gay Fred is for Shaggy but Fried just hasn't realized yet)

Some examples I thought of that Fried might throw into a conversation, un-prompted

Like Velma and Daphne are talking about their straight celebrity crushes or smth and fried just pipes in with..

-"Shaggy is pretty handsome, I bet chicks dig Shaggy"

-"I mean he's tall, fit, athletic, he's got nice hair, he's handsome, he's a great cook, his family's pretty loaded, he has good bone structure...ect isn't that what chicks always talk about wanting in a guy?"

- "I'm pretty jealous of Shaggy, like his facial hair, it's pretty rugged and sexy, isn't it?

"I wish I could grow a beard or something but it's so sparse and patchy when I try and takes me months!"

Velma and Daphne just *bombastic side eye* "this dude gay"...

I also imagine that Fred is so oblivious when people are dating or attracted to other people.

Like this man dosen't have a clue, flirting goes right over his head and he can't pick up of those vibes at all...

And because he got no vibe check he dosen't notice that Shaggy IS ACTUALLY pretty popular

So it's like

Fred (in his head) -"I wonder why Shaggy isn't popular or dating anybody when he's handsome and such a great guy"

Meanwhile...

Shaggy - **actively being hit on right in front of him**

Siffrin is soooo insecure and I'm 100% sure Isa could fix him if he wanted to. They love telling each other just the worst puns and jokes imaginable.

[SPOILERS] -> Isa was a big nerd before he decided he wanted to be a huge jock and now he wants to design clothes now that he saved his county (along side his other friends)

Siff is just a little guy (literally)(he is short) who loves the stars abs doesn't remember a lot about his past. He constantly worries if he's being enough for the rest of his companions and always tries his best to make sure they're happy. He has soooo much trouble seeing value in himself and prioritizing his own needs and it makes me soooo sad :( he deserves to have someone like Isa.

[SPOILERS] -> Siff knows that Isa wants to confess after thier battle w the bbeg, but siff can't get Ida to say it no matter what they try :(

I’m watching mystery Inc again after almost a decade and I think this dynamic for the romances would be better (also English is not my first language so yeah, sorry if it’s painful to read)

Hear me out- both Daphne and Velma were very focused on the person they liked liking them back and demonstrating this. If the person they liked were each other, it’d happen, since it’s what both of them wanted.

With Fred and Shaggy, it’d be either both of them not noticing that they have feelings for each other, them being in a long term relationship already acting like an old couple or they not having romantic feelings for anyone. All of those would be interesting to watch. (Also, I doubt that Scooby would be jealous of Fred, or that the boys would want to hide the relationship)

It’d be perfect, because there would be WAY LESS annoying (and kinda toxic ngl) romance filler and more focus on the mystery (or other types of drama idk like friendship drama for the group as a whole or maybe more stuff with the mayor and Fred), anything would be better than the romance drama we got, even if there were to be romance drama between fraggy and daphne x Velma (I really forgot the ship name sorry), it wouldn’t be as toxic as it was with the canon pairings in the show.

Idk if any of that made sense anyway if they were gay or had no romance at all the show would have been way more fun to watch (not that it wasn’t fun, just that that specific part was hella uncomfortable to see because of some personal experiences I had lmao)

(Still waaaay better than the Velma show tho)

vaphne: there's a couple cool ones but most are boring gays who have never actually watched a scooby doo movie beyond the 2002 live action

fraggy: obsessed with talking about the characters sucking and fucking no matter what age they are in that canon

I have so many shaggy ships that I adore (shaphne ofc, fraggy, and him x googie to name a few) but like I rlly am starting to think Abt him and Crystal more than I have before.

Obvi they aren't long-term, they can't be. But it's so tragic and interesting to read into. Literal starcrossed lovers, they're meant to be, but they can't be.

Ik like net zero of my Scooby mutuals read duck comics like I do, but it reminds me a lot of Donald's relationship with alien royalty Reginella. She meets Donald, and they hit it off splendidly. They both love and accept each other as they are, honestly, Reginella makes for a better partner to Donald than Daisy does in most appearances. But alas, Donald has his own life, his own family, and Reginella her own kingdom, far, far away.

Just like Shaggy and Crystal; they belong together but they can't be. If they end up together, the story has to end for one of them, if not both. It's just kdkskdkdjdjfjcv idk felt like rambling but yeah it's 💔

uh oh… i’ve got some opinions on the scooby ships:

• Fraphne (Fred x Daphne): i really like this one! they’ve had a good amount of cute moments in the franchise. started liking this pairing at some point in 2019.

• Shelma (Shaggy x Velma): i don’t really like this one, even without SDMI’s and Curse Of The Lake Monster’s portrayals of the pairing. cannot vibe with it partially because i see their relationship as more of a brother & sister type one instead of romantic.

• Shaphne (Shaggy x Daphne): i will admit i used to hyper-fixate over this pairing back in 2018 up until November of that year and then the hyper-fixation started to fade away and then by mid 2019 i had completely stopped thinking about Shaphne. i only really have thought of these two as close friends for the past couple of years now. but i don’t hate it at all though i still think it’s a very cute ship!

• Frelma (Fred x Velma): can’t really vibe with this one either. i really only see these two as close/best friends in my mind.

• Vaphne (Daphne x Velma): it’s a cool ship in my opinion. makes me think of that one episode of What’s New Scooby Doo where they were living together. plus all the fanart i’ve seen of them are adorable.

• Fraggy (Fred x Shaggy): same thoughts on this as Vaphne.

• Poly Mystery Inc (gang ot4): this is a fun one! tbh i hadn’t really given it much thought until maybe over a year ago, but i think it’s good.

• Varcie (Velma x Marcie): VERY good ship. definitely my favorite Velma ship tbh. would be interested in seeing these two together outside of the SDMI universe if they ever decide to bring back Marcie.
