Hey, what would you say would be a great starting point in the transformers comics for a complete beginner?
Do you have a list of all the movies and animations that are important?
The easiest long-running comic series to get into would be the Marvel US run:
G1
The Transformers #1-23
G.I. Joe and The Transformers #1
The Transformers #24
G.I. Joe and The Transformers #2
The Transformers #25-26
G.I. Joe and The Transformers #3-4
The Transformers #27-36
The Headmasters #1-4
The Transformers #37-80
G2
G.I. Joe Starring Snake-Eyes #138-142
The Transformers Generation 2 #0-12
Extras
Transformers Universe #1-4 (A miniseries of character bios. Additional bios appear in some regular issues, starting with #47.)
The Transformers: The Movie #1-3 (Marvel’s adaptation of the ’86 movie. This isn’t canon to the rest of the Marvel US run.)
There's a whole bunch of other material related to this run, with Marvel UK adding in stories between issues, and other companies making prequels and alternate endings. The above is the bare bones, original stuff.
As for cartoons and movies, I'd recommend these for a beginner.
G1 cartoon (seasons 1-2)
86's The Transformers: The Movie
G1 cartoon (seasons 3-4)
Beast Wars
If you don't want to watch all of G1, at least watch the opening 3-parter and The Movie. Beast Wars is a sequel to G1 and is HIGHLY praised.
Transformers Animated
Despite the "history vid" in the first episode, Animated is completely unconnected to any other TF series.
Bumblebee
Bumblebee has some of the look of the earlier live-action movies, but it's a reboot. You won't need to have watched the other movies.

A lot of Oscar's backstory in episode 36 reminds me of the skipped orphanage arc in CoC G1.

Episode 36 - The Stormy Cycling Road
Now wandering without any clear sense of where the next Gym is, Ash finds his way over to Route 17: The cycling road between Celadon and Fuchsia.
Of course, this is a problem. They're on the south side of the Cycling Road near Fuchsia and trying to go north, but the bike shop is in Cerulean and Ash destroyed Misty's bike way back when. So that's not happening.
So they end up taking a job at the nearby Pokemon Center. Medicine needs to be delivered to another Center on the north side, and the Pokemon Center is willing to offer loaner bikes to get them across the Cycling Road. It works!
Unfortunately, as anyone who's been on Route 17 can tell you, the place is lousy with biker gang NPCs looking for a Pokemon battle. Ash barely even makes it onto the bridge before being challenged.
Biker sends out a Golem. (Aww, he has friends to trade with. That checks out. He's in a gang.) This is really good for Ash. He has two separate Pokemon that do 4x STAB damage to Rock/Ground Types. (That really is atrocious Typing, sorry Brock.) So he makes the smart play and chooses Bulbasaur for the easy win.
Unfortunately, Ash fails to account for levels. Golem powers through Bulbasaur's Vine Whip by virtue of having a much stronger stat block and higher level, then oneshots Bulbasaur with a Tackle. Ash really needs to level up his still-juvenile Starters. He's six Badges in!
Ash panics and uses Charmander. It's a terrible choice but we know how this goes. Ash's mistakes are rewarded and his smart plays punished. Every time.
Luck delivers when Rock Throw's 65% Accuracy provides Charmander opportunities to slip around it. Meanwhile, G1 Fire Spin remains broken-OP, allowing Charmander to inexplicably take the win. (I'm going to chalk this up to Vine Whip softening up Golem.)
With the Biker defeated, the gang's leader Misa/Tyra steps up to fight. She sends out Cloyster. Ash's Pokedex warns that Cloyster's shell is indestructible and it's not wrong; Stat for stat, Cloyster has the highest Defense in the game. In fact, it's the #7 highest statted Pokemon in G1, tied with Gyarados under the Legendaries, and Dragonite!
But with trash HP and middling Special, Pikachu should be able to take this easily. Never gets the chance to, though, because Misty wants to fight. A Water opponent should be battled by a Water Trainer! ...is her bizarre troll logic. (Ooh, it's been a while since weird shit flew out of Misty's mouth.)
Misty tries to lose the match with Starmie but Psyduck forces their way into the match instead. Misty's dismayed, but Psyduck is right. Starmie would have had a very hard time in this fight, but Psyduck has Confusion for Type coverage that Cloyster isn't strong against.
Unfortunately, Misty has a hard time coaxing out Psyduck's Psychic moves. (To be fair, she tries to use Disable before Cloyster's made any moves, so that's partly on her for not knowing how to use Psychic moves.) And. Uh. Y'know that thing where G1 binding techniques are super broken? Yeah. Tyra uses Clamp to beat Psyduck easily.
Team Rocket provides a bit of complication once it's revealed that Jessie and James used to be members of this gang, and the bikers still have a lot of reverence for them. But when the bikers learn about the urgency of Ash's task, they agree to escort him across the Cycling Road anyway.
Ash delivers the medicine, and manages to cross the Cycling Road! To. Uh. Celadon, I guess.

G1 Climax 31 Night 9 - 10/3/2021; NJPW Strong Episode 60 - 10/2/2021
Tumblr media
The tour resumed today, with A Block matches, live on NJPWWorld.
- 10/3/2021, Aichi Dolphin’s Arena
Yoshinobu Kanemaru [SZKG] d. Kosei Fujita (Boston Crab, 7:34)
Toru Yano [CHAOS] d. BUSHI [Los Ingobernables] (Schoolboy, 7:14)
G1 Climax 31 A Block: KENTA [Bullet Club] d. Great O-Khan [United Empire] (Schoolboy, 19:30)
G1 Climax 31 A Block: Tanga Loa [Bullet Club] d. Yujiro Takahashi [Bullet Club] (Apeshit, 12:36)
G1 Climax 31 A Block: Tomohiro Ishii [CHAOS] d. Zack Sabre Jr. [SZKG] (Vertical Drop Brainbuster, 18:40)
G1 Climax 31 A Block: Kota Ibushi d. Shingo Takagi [Los Ingobernables] (Kamigoye, 23:57)
Ibushi gets the win over Shingo, the delayed match finally happening, although not for the IWGP World title. Ibushi said next time they met, he would take the belt from Shingo. That will likely happen before WK16, unless Ibushi were to become a 3-in-a-row winner.
Sabre takes his first loss in the tournament, whilst Tanga Loa gets his first in-ring win (his previous 2pts coming from Tetsuya Naito’s withdrawal). Before the match, KENTA challenged O-Khan that the winner had to bow before the other. O-Khan agreed, and looked to bow before KENTA post-match, before popping up and hitting Eliminator on him, so O-Khan retains his heat. This is the second time on this tour that we’ve had two consecutive Schoolboy finishes; someone seems to be a fan of them behind the scenes.
Current A Block standings, which are getting pretty tight:
Sabre - 8pts (4W 0D 1L) Ibushi - 8pts (4W 0D 2L) KENTA - 8pts (4W 0D 2L) O-Khan - 8pts (4W 0D 2L) Shingo - 6pts (3W 0D 2L) Ishii - 6pts (3W 0D 3L) Yano - 6pts (3W 0D 2L) Loa - 4pts (2W 0D 3L) Yujiro - 4pts (2W 0D 3L) Naito - 0pts (0W 0D 9L)

Last night’s episode of NJPW Strong was the final one coming from the Fighting Spirit Unleashed tapings in August from Long Beach, CA.
JR Kratos [Team Filthy] d. Fred Yehi (Game Changer, 9:13)
Chris Dickinson [ROH] d. Royce Isaacs [Team Filthy] (STF, 11:08)
NJPW Strong Openweight Championship: “Filthy” Tom Lawlor [Team Filthy] (c) d. Lio Rush [FREE] (Rear Naked Choke, 16:19) - Lawlor succeeds his 4th defense
Lawlor retains the Strong Openweight title against the now-signed-to-AEW Lio Rush, and afterwards got a challenge from Ren Narita. Lawlor buried Narita, telling him to get more training from Shibata first, before Narita delivered a very Shibata-like kick in the face to Lawlor. That match happened last weekend during Autumn Attack, so that will be shown on an upcoming episode. Chris Dickinson gets a measure of revenge against Team Filthy.
Next week’s episode begins the Autumn Attack taping session.
Tomorrow’s show continues B Block matches.
- 10/4/2021, Tokyo Korakuen Hall
G1 Climax 31 B Block: Hiroshi Tanahashi v. Chase Owens [Bullet Club]
G1 Climax 31 B Block: EVIL [Bullet Club] v. Tama Tonga [Bullet Club]
G1 Climax 31 B Block: Taichi [SZKG] v. Jeff Cobb [United Empire]
G1 Climax 31 B Block: Hirooki Goto [CHAOS] v. YOSHI-HASHI [CHAOS]
G1 Climax 31 B Block: Kazuchika Okada [CHAOS] v. SANADA [Los Ingobernables]

Oh goody, another new Transformers cartoon. If I wasn’t so jaded and cynical, I might be excited about that.
Oh, they did things differently this time? It’s not another Bumblebee story? Okay, well, time to read some reviews.
Long story short, I watched Netflix’s War For Cybertron. The spoiler free reaction is that I actually really enjoyed it. To me it felt fresh and different, despite being a familiar story (though that might be because I haven’t watched any of the series to come out since Transformers Prime, so I couldn’t say how much was based on newer stories).
Spoilers (and a few unpopular opinions) from this point on.
I’m gonna just start with the things I didn’t like, because it’s a pretty short list:
The voices range from good to meh. The worst offender was probably Shockwave, who sounds like a knock-off Starscream (Starscream himself sounds very like he did in G1, if less raspy. Different vocal modulation, maybe?). Wasn’t too keen on Megatron and Jetfire either, though I got used to them.
Those were some of the most awkward transformations I’ve ever seen. It’s probably for the best that they don’t do it very often.
The final episode was too hectic for me to follow. Luckily there wasn't much left to follow except fighting, but I kept losing track of who was supposed to be where.
Starscream and Jetfire. After 36 years we finally see them on the same side (17 years if you count Armada), and the best you can give us is a copy/paste of Starscream and Megatron’s relationship? Seriously, Starscream advocates for himself as a better Air Commander, Jetfire physically attacks Starscream, and they argue like a pair of murderous children. The only real difference between this and Starscream’s dynamic with Megatron is that they have a superior who can tell them to knock it off when their fighting becomes a problem (as a side note, Megatron is actually not abusing Starscream for once. Guess we’ll see if it lasts now that Jetfire’s gone).
So Skywarp is dead? He didn’t seem like he was badly hurt, so unless transforming and flying back to base made his injury worse - a lot worse - this just seems kind of… plot convenient.
The Autobots and Decepticons as separate races. Of all the obscure bits of G1 lore, why did they have to dig up that one? It doesn’t even make sense in the context of the story. Bumblebee is insistent that he’s not an Autobot, Jetfire defects, Megatron offers Wheeljack and Bumblebee a chance to join the Decepticons, and there are neutrals all over. It’s not inconceivable that they might have meant military frames and cars are different races, but that’s not how they talk about it. Just… Transformers needs to not handle racial issues if they aren’t prepared to make it work.
The backstory of the war is also a bit vague. We know there was an elite class and a slave class, and it sounds like Alpha Trion started the revolution? And Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, and Megatron were all his students until, presumably, Megatron’s methods diverged from the others’ and he killed Trion. And then…? I guess it isn’t impossible that the lower classes were in conflict with the upper, and then the “revolution” splintered into a war between two factions, but we really don’t get an explanation for how things got from point A to point B.
We needed more episodes. Like, at least ten more. Not of the series - I know more is coming - but of this one season. Six isn’t enough.
And now for the stuff I did like:
I liked the pacing. I watch Transformers for the characters, not the lasers and explosions. Just give me some Seekers gossiping and I’m happy (there was a scene of Seekers gossiping. I was happy. Though also a little annoyed because the “Autobots and Decepticons are different races” thing came up again).
Bumblebee the energon scavenger is way more interesting than Bumblebee the Autobot protege. Normally I can't stand Bee (though he was cute in TFP), so for me, the change was welcome and sorely needed.
Jetfire was actually okay. I can understand why they changed him so much - he does start as a Decepticon - and he's not entirely unrecognizable. When he wasn't interacting with Starscream, I enjoyed him.
Starscream is Starscream. He steps out of line, seizes opportunities, wants attention. He also seems concerned when Skywarp shows up injured, and the other Seekers are happy for him when he's promoted to Jetfire’s position. It’s nice to see.
Megatron isn’t pure evil this time around. In fact, he’s almost reasonable. Right in the first episode he offers a treaty to end the war (the details of which are unknown, though according to Optimus, Autobot slavery is on there), and Shockwave blames limits on torture imposed by Megatron for his failure to get anything useful out of a captive Ultra Magnus. He’s not a good person by any means - he eventually gives Shockwave the go ahead to use whatever methods get results from Magnus, and his ultimate plan is to reformat the Autobots into Decepticons - but the degree of moral ambiguity he displays is refreshing.
Optimus Prime is back to his old, “I know what’s best for everyone, no I don’t take criticism” self. He walks right into a trap, refuses to compromise on his morals even when it hurts the Autobots, and just generally makes bad - or at least dubious - decisions. So why is he on the list of things I liked? Because unlike in G1, he gets called out for it. Ultra Magnus is upset with him for refusing Megatron’s treaty, and Elita clearly ran out of patience for his risk-taking a long time ago. He still does whatever he wants, but it’s so much easier to tolerate when his flaws are acknowledged.
Elita One is basically Optimus’ Starscream, and I mean that in the most positive  of ways. Like Starscream in G1, she spends a lot of time pointing out the glaring flaws in her leader’s plans, and has no problem with getting snappy when he’s being stupid (Elita telling Optimus that the idea is to be out of range when explosives go off is now one of my favorite Autobot moments ever). She’s also a capable leader in her own right.
Other characters of note: Ratchet is a neutral and runs a clinic where he treats anyone who needs help, regardless of faction. Red Alert is a medic again, like his Armada self. Prowl is freaking tiny. Like, almost Bumblebee-sized. We also got to see Lazerbeak, Ravage, and Buzzsaw, though the latter was hanging with some Soundwave clone called Soundblaster (literally a clone. Apparently Shockwave was busy).
And then there’s the story.
So on the surface it’s nothing new. It’s the last days of the war, Megatron has turned his sights on the Allspark as a means of finally ending the conflict, and the Autobots send it off planet so he can’t have it. It’s been done at least twice now; maybe more. But this time we've got Autobots saying, "you know what, maybe chucking the special rock into space is a bad idea". And I love that.
See, my biggest issue with the Allspark - in all appearances I've seen, at least - is that the Cybertronians kinda need it in order to not go extinct. No Allspark, no Cybertronians (see also: Optimus condemning his species in the Bay movies just to stop Megatron). So to take that very important object and just toss it, even with good intentions, seems like a form of genocide to me. What if they can’t find it again? But most media glosses over that, so it comes across as the right decision; just a thing that happened.
WFC doesn't do that. Instead, many Autobots express concern that taking the Allspark off planet could destroy Cybertron itself, never mind their species. Even Megatron fears that such action could lead to their extinction. As a result,  when the two factions finally meet in battle for the Allspark, it feels like both sides truly have something to fight for.
Needless to say, I’m looking forward to the next season. My only fear now is that we’ll lose all this delightful moral ambiguity in favor of “Autobots protect humans, so they’re heroes no matter what”. I don’t want to see people decide Optimus was in the right just because Cybertron didn’t spontaneously combust when the Allspark was removed. I want to see, “it doesn’t matter, because you were still ready to destroy the entire planet just to ‘save’ it”. I want to see Optimus held accountable.
And for the record, I’m not just saying that because I’m a Decepticon fan. I’m still very salty about TFP Megatron receiving no consequences for his own destruction of Cybertron just because, “Okay, I’m done oppressing people now”.

Starscreamian Correspondences: Part One
This is Part One of a two-part series. The topic is so large that I couldn’t cover even half of it! This first post is a general discussion of correspondences as they relate to Starscream, while in Part Two, you will find an exercise to help you develop your own personalized set of correspondences for Starscream.
What are Correspondences?
Correspondences are things that people tend to associate with… well, other things. In magick, correspondences are used to evoke the power of certain entities, or weave certain energies into your ritual or spell. A correspondence can be almost anything, from plants, colors, weapons, planets, constellations, elements, musical instruments, animals, numbers, crystals, days of the week, and so on.
Roses, for example, are sacred to Venus. So are apples, copper, the color green, the number five, and Friday. If you were to create a ritual that taps into Venusian energy, you might have it on a Friday, Venus’ sacred day, and make an offering of five roses, a green apple, or five copper pennies; you might light a green candle and write your intention using a pen with copper-colored ink. By using these correspondences, you are anchoring your working in Venusian energy, which will help you realize intentions associated with Venus, such as love or abundance.
Starscream has correspondences too.
Quite a lot of them, in fact! His classic colors of Silver and Red are obvious correspondences, as is the Eagle, since his G1 alt-mode is that of an F-15 Eagle. Numerologically, his name equates to the number 36 (or 9), so I consider those to be his sacred numbers, and his signature weapon, the Null-Ray, and coronation crown are also very much associated with him.
In addition to these ‘canon’ correspondences, I also have a large set of personal correspondences for Starscream. Some I can back up with evidence, while others are idiosyncratic. For example, I can make a reasonably solid argument for why I think Starscream is a Scorpio, but my reasons for thinking of the Thistle as one of his plant totems are more personal.
Below are my thoughts on some of the more canon-supported correspondences for Starscream. These are just suggestions. Take what resonates, and leave the rest. Your path with Starscream is yours, and it's ultimately up to you, and him, to decide what's best.
Tumblr media
Starscream’s Weapons
Starscream has a number of weapons, ranging from deadly (his cluster-bombs) to comical (the slingshot he uses in *More Than Meets The Eye, Part 2*). But of course it’s his signature weapon, the Null-Ray, that’s always held the greatest fascination for me. Marvel's *Transformers Universe* comic series describes the null-ray  as being "able to interrupt the flow of electricity in any circuitry... for periods of up to two minutes."
How cool is that? Not only does it interrupt the flow of energy through circuitry, but it also appears to stabilize or neutralize energies that have become unbalanced. It has even been shown to have healing properties. In the episode Auto Berserk, for example, Starscream fired his null-ray at Red Alert, causing his logic circuits to stabilize. Magickally speaking, the Null-Ray has so many potential applications that I ended up writing a separate post for it, complete with a meditation. See The Null-Ray: Magickal Uses.
Starscreamian Colors
I love how colorful the Seekers are! They are like splendidly plumaged birds, each with his own vivid color scheme that's uniquely his. I have some headcanon regarding color in TFs. For example, I like the idea that a character's outward colors aren't paint, but are created by chromites—that is, specialized nanites that create the color and finish on the character's frame. I also like the idea that the chromites respond to the character's spark in creating his or her signature colors and patterns, and so there is often a correspondence between a character's frame color and the color of their spark.
Color is a fun topic. There is no doubt that color has a potent psychological, and even physiological effect, on us, and I wear Starscream’s colors a lot. For this reason, it makes complete sense to use it in magick. It can be incorporated into your workings in countless ways (too many to list!), but here is a quick run-down of colors I associate with Starscream, and what their magickal associations tend to be:
Red: The color of human blood, red is associated with vitality, life force, passion, instinctual drives, survival and sexuality. It’s also thought to be the color of the Root, or Base Chakra, which is located at the perineum and is associated with survival and security.
Silver: The metal silver is associated with the Moon, with night, feminine forces, yin, intuition, the deep subconscious, wisdom and secrets.
Blue: The color of Earth’s sky, blue is also thought to be the color of the Throat Chakra, associated with mind, science, reason, speech, writing and other forms of verbal communication. It’s also the color most associated with water, and has connotations of purity and cleansing.
Yellow: The color of our Sun, yellow is thought to be the color of the Solar Plexus Chakra, located between the ribs and the navel on a human. This Chakra is associated with ego, will, drive and aggression. It's interesting that the only yellow part of Starscream is his brilliant golden-yellow cockpit canopy, and that when he's in root mode, it's located in roughly in the same location as the Solar Plexus Chakra would be on a human. It's as if his Will or Ego center is hugely overblown and exaggerated - which is actually true! In fact, his French name is Ego).
Gold: The color of Starscream’s crown is, as you might imagine, the color associated with extravagance, wealth, riches, and excess, though it is also associated with illumination, love, compassion, courage, passion, magic, and wisdom.
Purple: The color of Starscream’s coronation mantle is purple, a color which represents the sythesis of blue’s calm stability with red’s fierce energy.  Purple is associated with intuition, the psychic realm, royalty, creativity, luxury, power, pride, homosexuality, ambition, mysticism, independence, magic and… wouldn’t you know it… resurrection. (And, of course, Decepticons.)

The Mantle
Starscreams coronation outfit. Le sigh.
Okay, confession time: I’ll admit that I felt embarrassed and vaguely uneasy the first time I watched the coronation scene, and as we all know by now, it turned out my sense of unease was fully justified. Whenever things go well for Starscream, it’s pretty much always because the writers are setting him up for a fall; and what a fall this was.
*pauses to sigh again*
But in seriousness, there’s a lot to be said about the symbolism of these clothing items. A mantle represents authority. In fact, when we say that someone is ‘assuming the mantle’ of something, it means they are taking on a specific role or position, along with any associated responsibilities.
Perhaps the presence of the mantle in the coronation scene was intended to underline the idea that Starscream was overstepping his assigned role in life, and that he was unprepared, or unfit, to take on the responsibilities associated with the role he’d just usurped.
There is, of course, another way of looking at it, one that is especially suitable for Ghost Season symbolism, which can be summarized by the saying, ‘fake it ‘til you make it.’ Our goals and ambitions *should* be a stretch for us. They should be a challenge, and they will almost certainly push us into taking on new roles and responsibilities for which we may feel unfit, or unprepared. That’s how growth is.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is brazen things out. Put on your mantle, wear it with pride, and prepare your acceptance speech. “Fellow Decepticons! As your new leader…” In time—and with practice—your new mantle will begin to feel as much a part of you as your null-rays.
Until then, my friend, fake on! (It looks so damn good on you.)

The Crown
Crowns, as you can probably guess, represent royalty. They correspond with the Crown Chakra, the energy center which connects us to universal energy (aka God), and thus symbolizes a monarch’s ‘divine’ right to rule. This is a very ancient idea. Throughout history, rulers have been viewed either as gods themselves, or as divinely appointed.
The Transformers series is fully on board with this notion, presenting the Autobot Matrix as a stand-in for the divine force that confers kingship upon those it deems worthy. In other words, those who possess a special, mysterious quality get divinely appointed to rule over the rest of us. Call it… the Touch. But Starscream, in refreshingly iconoclastic fashion, upends this whole paradigm.
Sure, he could wait around for a sparkly rock to decide he’s worthy to rule, or he could take matters into his own hands. Of course by doing so, he violated the established ‘natural order’ of the Transformers universe, and because of this, he was swiftly put back in his place. One does not simply appoint oneself king! You must stand around and wait until the sparkly rock chooses you. (Obviously!)
In light of what I’ve said above, you may already have guessed that you can invoke the symbolism of the crown as a means of activating to your Crown Chakra and connecting to the divine, especially your own divine nature. The crown can also symbolize the act of choosing oneself; of reclaiming one’s personal and spiritual authority.
Starscream’s crown has four prongs. In numerology, 4 represents stability, rationality, structure and rules. It’s linked to the Emperor card in the Tarot deck—which is interesting, since the Emperor, in Tarot, is the king of kings—and it’s also associated with the Death card. In some cultures, 4 is considered an unlucky number due to its association with death, but the Death card in Tarot is actually a positive card which symbolizes transformation. Starscream’s crown is an excellent symbol to employ if you are seeking to take charge of your life through your magick, or to transform it in a deep and powerful way.
The scarlet gems which adorn Starscream’s crown are another obvious bit of symbolism. We’ve already talked about the symbolism of the color Red, and we could speculate about what type of gems those are (rubies, perhaps?), but since this is getting long, I want to draw your attention to that central, hexagonal gem that sits directly on the forehead of the crown.
That is a Third Eye. It actually looks like one of Starscream’s own optics, but turned sideways—a classic depiction of a Third Eye. The Third Eye is the Sixth Chakra, which on humans is thought to be located on the forehead, above and directly between the eyes. It governs intuition and psychic abilities, making Starscream’s crown a wonderful symbol to employ in psychic development or awakening one’s intuition.
In the next post, I’ll give you an exercise for developing your very own, personalized set of correspondences. Keep reading!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY G1
youtube
Many millions of years ago, on the planet Cybertron, life existed. But  not life as we know it today. Intelligent robots that could think and  feel inhabited the cities. They were called Autobots, and Decepticons.
34 years ago today, the very first cartoon episode of Transformers  aired: More Than Meets The Eye, Part 1. It featured some concepts we  would never see again: most of the Autobots’ Cybertronian alt-modes,  Starscream’s bizarrely deep voice, and Soundwave turning into a  lamppost. On the other hand, some footage from this episode would be  recycled quite a lot.
This was the first time we saw… uhh just about everyone who was in G1. Wheeljack was our first Autobot, and Starscream our first Decepticon. The first human was Joe.
Wheeljack (1)
Bumblebee (2)
Prowl (12)
Optimus Prime (13)
Trailbreaker (14)
Jazz (15)
Ratchet (18)
Ironhide (19)
Sideswipe (20)
Teletraan I (21)
Cliffjumper (24)
Hound (25)
Hauler (26)
Sunstreaker (31)
Bluestreak (32)
Huffer (33)
Mirage (34)
Brawn (35)
Gears (36)
Windcharger (37)
Starscream (3)
Thundercracker (4)
Skywarp (5)
Sunstorm (6)
Hotlink (7)
Bitstream (8)
Nacelle (9)
Soundwave (10)
Laserbeak (11)
Megatron (16)
Shockwave (17)
Reflector (22)
Rumble (23)
Ravage (27)
Joe and his coworker (28)
Spike Witwicky (29)
Sparkplug Witwicky (30)
It also debuted the very first animation error, when stars passed in front of Cybertron in the opening shot.
Who knew this’d go anywhere?

I just wanted to say I don't know jack shit about transformers and here u are making me wanna watch it
OWO!!!!!!!!!!If you do go ahead to watch it here is a rundown of their general quality and my opinion:Transformers G1: a shitpost. Nothing makes sense half the time, and yet it all makes PERFECT SENSE you just have to get into it and accept the nutty plots that happen. Starscream acts like a goddamn child. Shockwave is lonely and sad. Soundwave has seventy billion children and pets and he is so cool. Megatron and Optimus will never get along and its amazingTransformers Beast Wars: ive heard a lot of good things about this one! They introduced a lot of excellent worldbuilding to the mythos and its got a really good story with excellent voice actors. Its made by Mainframe Entertainment who are the same guys who made ReBoot and thats a pretty great resume if you ask meTransformers Armada: my personal first tf series. Starscream’s character arc in this one is the most interesting, and shit hits the fan in episode 36. Ive been rewatching it lately by half-paying-attention to it while drawing. Its pretty rad imo but then again, it is made for children ages 4-9 so its very simplistic. Transformers Animated: THE GEM THE SUPERIOR VERSION THE BESTEST ONE THE ONE I WILL LOVE FOR EVER AND EVER FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART ITS MY FAVORITE WATCH IT WATCH IT WATCH IT WATransformers Prime: Also heard a lot of good things about this one! Tends to take itself too seriously for my taste and the characters and the humor arent really my bag but its often considered the best cartoon series for all ages so give it a shot!

Some Friday thoughts
You know you’re bored to death on a Friday afternoon when you can’t be still for anything, I cant stop changing my clothes im putting on a fashion show in my bedroom while I’m listening to Billy Idol’s classic hit “dancing with myself” if I had a chance I’ll ask all of to dance, I wonder if I’m ever going to get Married? I’m 36 years old now I’ll be 40 in four years I wonder if it’s still possible whoever I meet or end up marrying I hope she has some big beautiful feet pretty feet are so important to me yes I do have a foot fetish. Professional wrestling is in a very unique place I was listening to Bill Aptor’s podcast last night, he said this is the era of choice I think is right there so many different territories and Federation out here with so many different styles that fans can watch a certain territory that appeals to them I LOVE it! WWE NXT takeover NYC was Pretty good 10/10 NJPW/ROH G1 Supercard Show from the hallowed grounds of the worlds most famous arena Madison Square Garden was a very good show except for that impromptu six man bully ray hard-core match I didn’t care for that but everything else was superb didn’t care for the announcing though I don’t understand why we needed to hear four people talking at once so I give the show 9/10, Also I think signing Enzo and Big Cass Will be something that ring of honor regrets those two crackpot pussy Farts are going to stir up so much shit that it’s going to end up pissing off the very talented people on the ROH roster I see them getting fired in the future Heavenly father in the name of Sweet baby black Jesus please make it happen! I signed up for NJPW World I am so happy with it I knew what I was getting myself into I’ve always had a great deal of respect for Japanese pro wrestling ever since I saw the great Muta debut on an episode of WCW Saturday night with Gary hart by his side, WWE wrestlemania 35 was good but it wasn’t as good as it could or should’ve been The show was way too long 7 1/2 hours well long time. Kept it from being a great show but the match between Kofi Kingston and Daniel Bryan was the match of the night The main event with great too but the finish was the drizzling shits i’m going to go back and rewatch the whole entire event so I can give all of you are you more proper in depth review but as of this writing I have to give it a seven out of 10.
