Stuck Within My Mind
A mini Geauga Lake story, starring Bernard (Big Dipper), Vinny (Villain), and mentions of Riot (Raging Wolf Bobs). (WARNING: Violence is in this.)
The park remained empty, as it had been for years. The rides were decaying; the ground was littered with trash, and the shops have been vandalized by spray paint. There on the dock sat a railizen (humanoid), which he himself was rotting away with the park. He shuffled slightly and stared at the ever darkening sky. Soon, another rotting humanoid sat next to him. "Hey Bernard.", Vinny greeted the older humanoid. Bernard slowly turned to face him. His neck made a snap from the rust. "You know, I miss talking to you... before you glitched out and all.", Vinny muttered and held his legs.
"Glitched out? No, that is far from the truth.". Bernard wanted to say, but all that came out was a preprogrammed catchphrase, "O-our staff is always willing t-to listen!", his glitchy voice rang out, a smile plastered on his face. Vinny gave a slow nod, "Yeah, well don't say anything, but sometimes Riot scares me. Ever since he took over for you, we've been shredding other railizens apart.". Vinny paused, "I know it's revenge for the directors purposefully sinking our park in favor of Cedar Point, but... I can't help but feel..bad..", Vinny frowned. "I know what they (directors) did wasn't right, but it doesn't make it fair that we take it out on them (Cedar Point).".
Bernard took a moment to process Vinny's words. It was true, Riot truly had lost it. If only he were stronger back then to stop it.
Flashback:
A storm was brewing in the distance, the crashing of thunder could be heard. The crew had recently been on an outing to find parts to survive on. "I'm done scrounging around for parts! We can't just let them get away with this!", Randall's voice boomed, and he threw the bag of scraps to the ground. Bernard whipped around. "Randall, we must follow the protocol. We must contain ourselves until a new park owner arrives-", he stated calmly, but Randall cut him off. "No! You know what? I'm tired of listening to you.", he growled. "Randall, you are out of line-", Bernard's eyes widened. What happened next completely caught him off guard. Randall picked up a metal rod. "I think it's time for a new leader around here. You no longer seem fit for the ROLE-", Randall struck Bernard with the metal rod, and down the older model went. Bernard pleaded and tried to get up, but to no avail. Randall continued to beat down the far outdated, frailer model until he (Bernard) couldn't move anymore.
Realizing what he had done, Randall let out a maniacal laughter, along with a few sobs. From there, he slowly dragged Bernard off to the backrooms, where he would be reprogrammed. That day, Randall died, and Riot was born.
End flashback
"Anyways, I'd better get going.", Vinny got up to stretch. "I'll see you around, pal.", he waved, then walked off. Bernard just sat there, the smile still spread across his face. He may smile on the outside, but on the inside he felt pain. "Oh Vinny, if you only knew.".
END.

https://ohiodnr.gov/discover-and-learn/safety-conservation/about-ODNR/news/biologists-find-potential-evidence-of-reproduction-of-fishers-in-ohio#:~:text=A%20fisher%20is%20a%20forest,day%20fisher%20sighting%20was%20confirmed
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife confirmed that a female fisher, a mammal that was collected as roadkill in Ashtabula County in February 2023, was pregnant. Although that fisher did not successfully give birth, the results are a sign that fishers are returning to Ohio.
A fisher is a forest-dwelling carnivorous mammal in the weasel family. Fishers were extirpated from Ohio in the mid-1800s. In 2013, Ohio’s first modern-day fisher sighting was confirmed. Since then, there have been 40 confirmed fisher observations across nine northeast Ohio counties (Ashtabula, Columbiana, Geauga, Trumbull, Mahoning, Lake, Jefferson, Harrison, and Tuscarawas). Two-thirds of those sightings occurred in the last three years. Fishers are moving westward from established populations in Pennsylvania and naturally coming back to Ohio.
Fishers, such as the one here on a trail camera, have been confirmed in nine northeast Ohio counties through verified sightings. The fisher is a medium-sized mammal related to river otters and weasels.

The scene moves to an abandoned park, Geauga Lake to be extact. The sky was clouded over, no sunlight in site. An intense fight had recently broken out. There were losses, mainly from the opposing side. The floor was clear for two ais. One was a tough looking lady, and the other was a rotting man, parts of his ectokelton could be seen. They charged at each other for the last time, the male ripping his sharpened ecto claws into her skin. He tried to rip out her circuits, and she did her best to keep him at bay. "It didn't have to be this way. You could have joined me.". "She winced, "N-NEVER!". Rita shoved him off then kicked him away.
His back slammed into a wooden roller coaster structure. It was weakened from decay, and toppled on top of him. He stirred under the rubble, "Oh..so n-now you're going to kill me? Just l-like you did with that one park guest?". Rita touched the scar on her eye, then shook her head. "No, but he is!". Max walked out, and zapped Riot. He let out a painful shrill, his very circuits were frying.
"DANGER, OVERLOAD. DANGER, OVERLOAD.", his internal alarm screamed at him. Everything went black.
He slowly came to, "...Hm..?". He was now in another world, or shall I say an unfortunate afterlife. Riot glanced around AM's complex. He put his hands in front of his face, "Did...did I...die?". Realization hit him hard. "NO! NO! I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD!", he shouted in anger and denial.
The shouting had alerted the enormous computer to a new presence. He puzzled for a moment over the unfamiliar automaton in his cavern before deploying a cord. He smacked Riot, curious as to how entertaining his reaction to harm would be.
"What do we have here?"

A church in Ohio that suffered an arson attack last year after it agreed to host drag shows has sued the guilty party and members of the extremist group he is affiliated with for damages.
Earlier this year, 20-year-old Aimenn Penny was sentenced to 18 years in prison for trying to destroy the Community Church of Chesterland with Molotov cocktails for hosting a drag show.
The congregation, affiliated with the theologically liberal United Church of Christ denomination, filed a complaint against Penny and members of the group White Lives Matter Ohio in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Eastern Division, on Wednesday.
The church is seeking compensatory and punitive damages over the organization's involvement in the attack on the congregation, which was a violation of their civil rights.
The defendants are accused of six counts: "Conspiracy to Interfere With Civil Rights," violation of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances & Places of Religious Worship Act, a FACE Act violation specifically directed at Penny, "Civil Liability for Vandalism, Desecration, or Ethnic Intimidation," "Trespass to Land," and "Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress."
The plaintiffs are represented by the law firm Jones Day and the Anti-Defamation League, a progressive Jewish American advocacy organization that monitors antisemitic groups and other extremist elements.
The lawsuit describes White Lives Matter Ohio as the state chapter of a national network that "requires members to coordinate with each other on activism events and encourages alignment with similar extremist groups, such as Blood Tribe, in order to amplify their shared message of hatred."
"These members attended several White Lives Matter Ohio rallies and 'activism' events culminating in the March 2023 attack on Community Church," the complaint contends.
"These rallies and 'activism' leading up to the attack on the Community Church were directed at others engaged in advancing racial or social justice similar to the practices of the Community Church members, and demonstrate Defendants' increasingly hateful and violent conspiracy to deprive Plaintiffs from practicing their diverse and inclusive religion."
ADL Senior Director of National Litigation James Pasch said in a statement Wednesday that the lawsuit "meticulously documents how members of a local White Lives Matter chapter conspired to deprive members of the Community Church of Chesterland of their church property."
"Their resultant actions in targeting a community church with a hate crime are not just morally abhorrent, they are a clear violation of federal civil rights and property law," Pasch continued.
In March 2023, Penny threw two Molotov cocktails at the Community Church in an effort to burn down the sanctuary in response to the congregation's decision to host a drag show. While the property was damaged, the drag shows went on as scheduled.
Penny was arrested and charged by the end of the month, facing a count of possessing a destructive device and a count of malicious use of explosive materials.
A joint effort by the FBI Cleveland Joint Terrorism Task Force and the Chester Township Police Department led to the arrest, according to Special Agent in Charge Gregory Nelsen of the FBI Cleveland Field Office.
"The FBI leveraged its task force and its specialized resources to identify, locate and subsequently arrest the subject earlier today," said Nelsen in a statement last year.
"We thank the collaborative work and strong partnership of the Chester Township Police and Lake and Geauga County local authorities who assisted."
Penny pleaded guilty last October to violating the Church Arson Prevention Act and using fire and explosives to attempt to commit a felony. He was sentenced to 18 years in January.
"This sentence holds Mr. Penny accountable for carrying out violence against an Ohio church because he disagreed with the way congregants chose to express their beliefs," said Assistant Attorney General Matthew G. Olsen of the U.S. Justice Department's National Security Division in a statement earlier this year.
"Such acts of extremist violence have no place in our communities and the Justice Department is committed to bringing to justice those who would use or threaten violence to prevent their fellow citizens from freely exercising their fundamental rights."
