JAINA AND THRALL WORKING TOGETHER
At the behest of Lady Proudmoore, I will allow a diplomatic mission to Orgrimmar to question the Horde's Warchief, Thrall. You will assist her in this journey and keep her safe from harm.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Varian Wrynn's stance against our people is becoming increasingly militaristic." He did not add, thanks to you, because he knew Garrosh would hear the unspoken words. "Jaina Proudmoore is his friend and is sympathetic to our cause." "She is still Alliance scum!" "She is still Alliance, yes," Thrall said, his voice deepening and growing louder, "but anyone who has served with me or who has bothered to read a single historical scroll over the last few years knows that she is a human with integrity and wisdom. Do you think Cairne Bloodhoof disloyal?" Garrosh seemed taken aback by the abrupt change ofsubject. His eyes darted to Cairne, who sat up straighter and snorted. "I - of course not. No one here questions his devotion and service to the Horde." He spoke carefully, looking for the trap. Thrall nodded. Although his tone was defensive, Garrosh's words did seem sincere to him. "They would be a fool to do so. Jaina's loyalty to the Alliance does not preclude her working toward peace and prosperity for all who dwell in Azeroth. Nor does Cairne's loyalty to the Horde. His proposition is a sound one. It costs us little and could gain us much. Night night elves agree to open negotiations, well and good. If not, then we pursue other avenues."

The War Within and the Worldsoul Saga Reveal
Some thoughts on the new expansion(s)
Not my favorite cinematic, but I liked it for the most part. Appreciated the more calm and intimate approach. Dialogue could have been better at some points though.
Anduin is a little generic looking for my tastes. He doesn't look bad, I just feel like you could toss him into most fantasy settings and he would fit. It's a very default protagonist look. Honestly, also reminds me a bit of the Warrior of Light they use in FF14 cinematics.
Alleria's going to look damn good though
Would not have guessed we'd be going all Journey to the Center of the Earth, but I AM FEELING IT!
The Shadow Priest's ex-knife returns and I am for it! Can't help but love the "edge of a knife" line in the trailer
All the new zones look damn interesting
Eager for the Nerubians, love those guys and I am expecting some friendlies. Somewhat mixed feelings on the look of the "evolved" Nerubians, but I like them overall
Isle of Dorn is intriguing. I love the Earthen and was expecting Titan-forged based on lore tidbits we've seen, so nothing shocking. Really enjoy the look of their buildings, it's a great take on the Dwarven aesthetic. Little bummed we don't seem to be getting anything that looks like the Northrend & Deepholm Earthen stuff.
New gryphons look dope
Earthen as an allied race is unexpected but very welcome! Would not have guessed they'd be neutral, but I am very grateful for that. May not be the most unique addition Alliance-wise, but seeing them in the Horde really gets me. Will probably elaborate on why in a later post.
Like the gemstones and SHOCKED Blizz actually gave the female Earthen beard options (love to see it)
Disappointed but not surprised that they don't get druids. Come on! Vrykul have them! Plus, could have had an Eonar connection
Ringing Deeps will probably be cool, but it kind of excites me the least for now. Do love the whole "underground cavern, pierced with sunlight from above, covered in plant life" thing though
Hallowfall caught me the most off guard
Underground neutral human civilization, descended from the Arathi, big light crystal, underground sea of monsters, air ships, Holy Fire, intense (and potentially dangerous, at least for us) faith in the Light. Goddamn. Might really have something here.
I am always in favor of potentially exploring different human cultures outside of the Alliance. That said, kind of a bummer that it's just another flavor of fantasy Europe like we always get.
Dragonriding coming to other mounts was expected, but nice to get confirmation
Hero Talents are very intriguing. Looking forward to seeing if they pull them off. If nothing else, the archetypes that come out of it will probably be fun to mess around with. A lot of the classes don't really have super unique "Hero archetypes" firmly established, so it'll be fun to see what they come up with.
Announcing 3 expansions at once is pretty ambitious, gotta say
Going back to Quel'Thalas to defend the Sunwell is gonna be cool. Lots they could do story and world-building wise.
Gryphon mount now, maybe dragonhawk next?
Curious and nervous about how Zul'Aman might fit into things (I'm really worried that they'll end up allied with the Void or just flat out destroyed)
Since we're probably going to kick Titan ass, I hope at least Eonar ends up on our side.
I wonder how Sargeras will fit into it
When I first saw the thing about warbands, I thought we were getting some sort of interactive companions/party members, like an evolution from followers and champions. Account wide stuff is nice though.

So I really enjoyed the Orc Heritage Armour questline. After getting into dragonflight and Alexstrasza, Kalecgos and Khadgar kind of acting like they'd never met Borgakh (again), being welcomed and greeted by Thrall / Go'el and his family was so fucking delightful.
I'm going to post the screenshots from the final cutscene first and then a few more things with commentary below the cut.

Be warned it's long. You can press J to skip it on desktop if you open and change your mind.

Tumblr media
Tbh, having not played dragonflight I thought they were about to throw Eitrigg into the Nathanos role and this was going to be related to world quests. I'm glad it wasn't. Eitrigg's history makes me uncomfortable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I care them.
Tumblr media
While I kind of wish they'd let Drek'thar cast from his wheelchair, it's also interesting to think of him having some mobility.
Tumblr media
I know some people really don't like Aggra, but I have and do, and I found this delightful. A circle completed.
Tumblr media
All the little moments with Durak were very sweet. Very grounding after other story elements in the main plot have gotten so convoluted and absurd.
Tumblr media
Thank you, Rexxar, for also recognizing a title (Huntmaster). I was really thrown when Khadgar was back to calling you Adventurer and not either Champion, Hero, or My Friend — too open ended for people new to the game!! ^^;
I go back and forth with the Countess from the Court of Harvesters and Huntmaster titles when I run around with Borgakh because while I still hate shadowlands for what it did to the various in game religions (and the orcs especially since I'm biased) I think these titles would mean a lot to her. To be acknowledged and given the promise of authority / contribution / significance wrt Countess, and to be acknowledged by her peers wrt Huntmaster, which is also tied up in my favorite expansion and all the seeds of Horde and Alliance working to a better future together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When it came to choosing a clan, I imagined Borgakh sharing a look with Aggra about how it was "obvious" that now, given the choice, that she would follow Thrall / Go'el anywhere. But unlike how it presents the player character as having never belonged to a clan, Borgakh has been for Years, headcanoned as part of the Warsong clan. I felt it added depth and weight to her struggles.
And then not only did Thrall / Go'el have The Weakest pitch for joining his clan (undoubtedly because they knew he and the Frost Wolves were going to sweep anyway), but I got to the choice screen and imagined the question for Borgakh as being, "But would I give up a core part of my identity for you?"
She is still part of his Horde, and she would die for him and his family, but I decided to keep her a member of the Warsong clan.
Tumblr media
Borgakh has had maxed cooking in this game for like, ever. And that the final trial was to prepare a meal as an offering for her ancestors was something I really enjoyed. That the cookbook included a spicy as hell recipe from the Warsong was a bonus and reaffirmed my enjoyment of maintaining her membership with her clan.
Tumblr media
I really appreciated this. After shadowlands? Bring me back to the uncertainty and faith of the past wrt what happens after death and the peace and connection with those lost and those who remain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That this quest began with the premise that the orcs felt disconnected from each other and their culture and clans and this gathering and a new ceremony to replace the old coming of age ones that an orc could take part in regardless of age was very sweet. I have so many more screenshots of all the smaller npc's and things they've said in case I want to revisit it either for myself or for fic writing in the future. Loved it.
Thank you if you read my rambling.

Some lore that i recently realized that is my most favorite ever because of how funny it is:
Thrall was told by his own advisor to find a mate within his own race and blizzard would shove aggra at him (even though she verbally abused him by insulting him and putting him down, calling him slave or ignoring him asking and demanding she doesn't call him go'el because he doesn't *identify with that name* deadnaming thrall seems to be a weird fucking pattern he encounters between the two most important women in his life that being aggra and jaina and aggra especially NEVER APOLOGIZES) and he insults jaina via telling her "being married is so great, you should try it sometime! It'll make you better" despite knowing her history and when jaina first asks him to deal with garrosh as he was causing problems and then jaina asks more information about *aggra*
Meanwhile canonically in both the books and the comics that varian has *SO* many fangirls. In the comics he had night elven girls asking about him and broll after they left darnassus, in wolfheart the tales of his adventures were sung before swooning women. With tiffin even though they were arranged to marry, they did not like eachother but they would teach eachother and influence one another positively and earn one another's respect
Thrall is maidenless where Varian has all the game

Welcome to the muse list monster fuckers! Basically I have a shitload of canon & original characters who you are more than welcome to poke and prod at. Just lemme know who interests you when we plot, or specify who you'd like if you ever send in a rp meme!
𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐎𝐫𝐜𝐬
Garrosh Hellscream: Garrosh Hellscream was a former Warchief of the Horde chosen by Thrall to replace him in the wake of the Cataclysm, until he was succeeded by Vol'jin after the Siege of Orgrimmar. Throughout the history of Azeroth, few mortals have achieved greater notoriety than him. Garrosh grew up on Draenor in the shadow of his father, the great warrior Grommash Hellscream, leader of the Warsong clan. Grom was the first orc leader to drink the blood of Mannoroth, subjugating the orcs to the Legion's will.
Grommash Hellscream: Grommash "Grom" Hellscream was the legendary chieftain of the Warsong clan, a powerful warrior, close friend, and greatest lieutenant to Warchief Thrall. He was the first orc who drank the blood of Mannoroth the Destructor, thus binding the Horde to the Burning Legion — and he would eventually pay the ultimate price to free himself and his people from the Blood Curse.
Varok Saurfang: High Overlord Varok Saurfang was a renowned orc warrior of the Blackrock clan, and the younger brother of Broxigar. A famed veteran of the First, Second, and Third Wars, he served as Warchief Orgrim Doomhammer's second-in-command during the Second War, and as Supreme Commander of the Might of Kalimdor during the second War of the Shifting Sands against the qiraji of Ahn'Qiraj.
Thrall, son of Durotan: Thrall (birthname Go'el), son of Durotan and Draka, is the former Warchief of the restored shamanistic Horde, founder of the nation of Durotar in Kalimdor and one of the second wave of shaman. His parents killed by Gul'dan's assassins shortly after his birth in the beginning of the First War, he was found and raised by Aedelas Blackmoore who gave Thrall his name. Raised as a slave and gladiator, he later joined Orgrim Doomhammer in freeing the orcs imprisoned after the Second War, being named Warchief after Doomhammer's death.
𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝟒𝟎𝐊 𝐎𝐫𝐜𝐬
Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka: Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka (usually shortened to Ghazghkull Thraka) is an Ork warlord of the Goff klan and a mighty prophet of the WAAAGH!. He is the single most influential Ork in the galaxy in the 41st Millennium, and billions of Greenskins march to war in his name. Since Ghazghkull's rise to power, he has led countless campaigns of destruction. He has crushed Aeldari war hosts, banished tides of Daemons, and smashed phalanxes of Necrons to so much sparking scrap.
𝐒𝐜𝐢-𝐅𝐢 𝐎𝐫𝐜𝐬
Original Character - Callicles Arcavius: Callicles Arcavius is a Crollian Orc and the lost prince of the planet Crolla. Leading the life as a smuggler, Callicles was arrested and imprisoned by the Galactic Imperium of Orcs and Man. Realizing that he was the lost Prince of the water planet of Crolla, the Emperor gave Callicles the choice to serve the Imperium and reclaim his planet, or to remain a prisoner. As of now Callicles is a vicious Knight of the Imperium, fighting back the forces of the Elven invaders from the stars. His mind is set on reclaiming his home planet and taking the throne as Lord of the Crollian Orcs.
𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐜𝐬
Original Character - Johnny Midas: Formerly a College Quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Johnny Midas was recently chosen by an Orc deity to dawn the form of an Orc for the rest of his life in order to assist the heroes of the world during the coming Viltrumite invasion! Johnny is a wild card and a cocky hero, but he certainly takes is job seriously... most of the time!
𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐜𝐬
Original Character - Tor Borsson: Tor is a Paladin who was once loyal to Odin the "All-Father." However, after losing faith in his God, Tor broke his sworn divine Oath and became an Oathbreaker. Tor now travels the Forgotten Realms primarily as a ruthless mercenary.
My non-Orc characters are still monsters but are muses that I don't mind writing with people! I love my Orc boys but I'm more than open to writing as the following characters for you!
𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬
Grog Strongjaw: Grog Strongjaw is a goliath barbarian/fighter and a member of Vox Machina. When he was young, Grog was exiled from the Herd of Storms by its leader, Grog's uncle Kevdak, for taking pity on a helpless old gnome the tribe was attacking. He was then taken in by that same gnome, Wilhand Trickfoot, and raised alongside his great-great-granddaughter Pike.
𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬
Xarantaur: Xarantaur is an elite Tauren druid and quest giver at Camp Tunka'lo in the Storm Peaks. He is over ten thousand years old, having been among the first tauren druids to be tutored by Cenarius and raised to immortality by Nozdormu to serve as an agent of the bronze dragonflight. The Aspect gave him the Lorehammer.
𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬
Frank Horrigan: Special Agent Frank Horrigan was a former human turned Super Mutant who was apart of the Enclave Secret Service. A brutish brick of a man, Horrigan is known for his brutality and lust for human women within the California Wasteland. Unlike other Super Mutants, Horrigan has a specially made Power Armor suit that is used to keep him fully functioning and protected.

very touching, i think, that blizzard is finally acknowledging (granted, in the barest barely scraping the top of the iceberg way possible) how much culture the orcs actually lost in the move from Draenor to Azeroth. but i do think the genuineness of all that is lost when Aggra is the one giving the bulk of the speech and not Thrall.
not that i necessarily want to discredit her. i appreciate the included detail of her becoming Farseer because as much as i dislike her ive always felt her greatest flaw was that she HAD no character outside of Thrall. I appreciate the ... attempt? at personal growth made on her behalf in that she is so open to the idea of new traditions (except she still calls him Go'el so idk what to make of that LOL)
but Thrall has been the head of the orc's cultural rebirth for almost his entire adult life. This is something that he should have spoken at the forefront of. His entire existence has been overshadowed by the culture that both he and his entire generation were robbed of. Regardless of whether or not Aggra deserved the opportunity (frankly I would argue that she doesn't based on the way she treated Thrall) it just. should have been him.
Aggra has been Thrall's mouthpiece basically since Cata. she is ALWAYS speaking for him. I kind of hoped this would be a rare exception.

I'm just imagining Jaina and Aggra hanging out for the first time and Aggra's thinking "Oh this is why Go'el is so weird..." 😑
Oh 100% Thrall and Jaina are just absolute freaks about each other and being around each other just encourages, enables, and worsens this lmao
Aggra looking at them vibrating out of their fucking skulls just from lookin at each other and is like “Jesus Christ, do I need to leave the room? Do I need to invite her into our marriage? Fuck”

Thrall x F! OC
My other Thrall fic.
Eowyn wiped her sweat-covered brow against the back of her hand, looking down with pride at the completed meal before her. Cooking for her orc husband was always a chore that took hours as he could seemingly eat forever, but it was a chore she enjoyed wholeheartedly nonetheless. She wiped her hands on the white, stained apron she wore over her simple blue linen dress. Thrall would be home any time. She lit the candles on their modest wooden dining table and set out the food. Blackrock ham,  black cherries, Rylak claws. All made to his liking. But still, Thrall wasn't here. She began to grow worried, almost enough to go out and look for him, but before she could he finally entered the house. Eowyn stood with her hands clasped in front of her, worry knitting her brow. Thrall stood in the doorway for a long moment, staring at her. His expression was unreadable.
"Go'el...?" She asked sheepishly and he suddenly charged towards her, grabbing her face in his large hands and pulling her into a searing kiss. Eowyn was taken aback at first but soon returned the kiss, placing her hands atop his.
When he pulled away he went to sit down at the table and eat as if everything were normal. Eowyn said nothing as she sat across from him, but she was certain she was going to interrogate him about this before the night was through, if he did not give her answers beforehand.
"Impeccable, as always." He remarked with satisfaction as he finished his food, drinking deeply from his goblet of ironwine.
"Thank you, my love." Eowyn said, unable to keep the suspicious edge out of her voice.
"I'm going to take a bath, would you care to join me?" He asked, smiling at her as he got up from the table.
"I bathed already, I'll clean up." She said, standing and beginning to do just that. Thrall gave her a lingering glance as if he wanted to say something, but he decided this was not the correct moment and he left to take his bath without another word.
When Thrall came to the bedroom, clean and naked, Eowyn was sitting on the edge of the bed in her thin nightgown, looking at him expectantly.
"Go'el. I want you to tell me what's wrong." She demanded. Thrall sighed heavily and came to stand in front of her. He looked down at her thoughtfully, eyes full of love and affection and then he knelt, wrapping his arms around her waist and pressing his ear to her breast, listening to her heartbeat.
"Saurfang came to visit me today. He was following two assassin's, I don't need to say who sent them. He did not ask me to lead the horde, but he asked me to fight for it." He confessed. He noticed the quickening of her heartbeat as he spoke and he pulled back to look into her eyes. The glow of the hearth against her skin made her look so warm, radiant. Regardless of faction, regardless of race, he would trade his human lover for no other, horde be damned. Eowyn looked concerned, unsure of what to say. She could not ask him to reject his faction, it was not her decision to make.
"I will not fight for the horde if it means fighting against you." Thrall took one of her hands, dwarfed in his, and held it to his lips.
Eowyn was contemplative for a long moment.
"We are not fighting against each other. We fight together, for Azeroth." She said, squeezing his hand encouragingly.
Thrall smiled and let out a sigh of relief.
"I am so blessed to have your support. Together we will fight, side by side. For Azeroth." He said, standing up to kiss her lovingly.
Eowyn kissed him back, cupping his face with one hand. As they kissed she trailed her other hand down, over his muscular chest, to his cock, wrapping her hand around his thick, warm shaft. Thrall inhaled sharply and broke the kiss, looking downward to admire the sight of her small, soft hand wrapped around him. Eowyn stroked him slowly, now with both of her hands and she continued to pump his cock between them until he was fully erect, precum glistening at his tip. She gently ran her finger over it, swirling it in a circle, a trail of the transparent fluid connecting her fingertip to it as she pulled it away to put it into her mouth. Thrall groaned and grabbed her hips, flipping her over onto her stomach. Eowyn giggled, satisfied with her ability to drive him mad. Thrall pushed her nightgown upwards and fondled her ass roughly with both of his hands, squeezing and rubbing and spreading them to get a good look at both of her eager entrances. He plunged two of his thick fingers into her, as deeply as he could. Eowyn arched her back and cried out as he pumped his fingers back and forth, making loud squishing noises as she was already quite wet. He pulled his fingers out and plunged his cock into her, lifting her up by her hips with one hand, putting his slick-covered fingers in his mouth and savoring the taste of her as he thrusted vigorously. Eowyn gripped the fur blanket beneath her in both of her fists, closing her eyes and moaning continuously enough for her to start to drool. Thrall held her hips tightly, pulling her away from him as he pulled out and slamming her back into him as he thrusted forward, reaching deeply enough inside of her to touch her womb with every thrust.
"Go'el- G-Gods I-" she broke off as she climaxed, unable to finish her sentence, eyes rolling back as she trembled and clenched tightly around his cock.
"Yes..." He hissed in satisfaction, the feeling of her hot, snug cunt around his cock was absolute ecstasy. He picked up his pace, nearing his climax as well. He leaned down, pressing his face against her back, sliding his hands up her body to cup her breasts and letting out a feral growl that would've frightened Eowyn had it not come from her lover as he came, his hot cum spilling out directly against her sensitive cervix. Too tired to move immediately, Thrall stayed where he was, pressed up against her back, cock still deep within her. Eowyn reached back with one hand, entangling her fingers in his dark hair, holding him close. He purred and nuzzled against her lovingly.
"Go'el."
"Hmm?"
"I love you but you're very heavy."
Thrall chuckled and rolled off of her, stretching out on the bed on his back and yawning. Eowyn lay beside him, thoroughly spent. He rolled onto his side to face her and began to stroke her hair, humming softly to her. The sleepy, happy face of her lover and the sound of his lullaby were the final things Eowyn beheld as she drifted to sleep.
