Wouldn't be my first old world (more like 5th) but would be my first pokie lol
H. Pulchripes (aka golden blue leg baboon)
Old world terrestrial:
Spicy but worth it. Look at those legs 🥺
Grammostola Porteri (aka Chilean Rose hair )
New world terrestrial:
Slow growing but long lived and so so cute 🥺 (also known for being one of the most docile species, but that's not really important to me. I just love the grammostola genus heehee)
Pandora the gorgeous Grammostola porteri had her 7 years now. First of our little beasties 😍😍 #tarantulas #arachnids #Tarantulas #nhandutripepii #caribenaversicolor #brachypelma #dwarftarantula #ageniculata #bumbahorrida #lasiodoradifficilis https://www.instagram.com/p/CWwCEKGrxsW/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Check out the new episode of Tarantula Tuesday now on YouTube featuring the Grammostola rosea/porteri commonly known as the Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula.
This was the first time I used my G. iheringi for a shoot, and to be completely honest, I wasn't entirely comfortable with it. G. iheringi have a little more pep in their step than other Grammostola where it's like she's not even in the same genus as my pulchra or porteri. She gives the same vibes as the M. velvetosoma I had when I was 18. Like, I handled him, but it was a one-time thing.
...Which is why I couldn't get the shot I wanted with her. Although to be fair, my B. smithi didn't give me it either. She's still shook from that little accident with my tarot cards last week. Which is a shame because this setup with the pumpkins and the candy corn (which I did eat this time) is perfect for an orange tarantula. Incidentally, my B. hamorii can't be used because he's molting. Like, right now. It's actually the first time in a while I've caught one of them in action.
