Hades expression changed into a shocked one as he awkwardly spoke up

“Poseidon?”

You look up at him with a “bro what?” Face and facepalm. Do you really have to confess more? You thought he’s more clever than this!

“No… it’s not Poseidon!”

“Adamas?”

“…no.”

That’s obvious enough judging from Hades’ even more shocked expression. You pray he doesn’t reject you or if he does then at least doesn’t damage your relationship, you heard a soft chuckle left Hades’ lips and a reply

“I apologize for my obliviousness… but thank you for your reassurance”

Wait what? Reassurance? Fr? Like— fr?!!

You felt your cheek heat up, so does his. Hades lean in to place a peck on your cheek and pat you

“I like you too”

Flabbergasted was just an understatement, you couldn’t process anything but the only thing you’re sure you’re feeling is happiness and love

You look at him, now slightly flustered expression, which suits him a lot. You lean up and return the peck

Holy shit, having hades’ as a partner is literally every girls dream

Since he have quite lots of work, he’s quite clingy. When he have a free time he would cuddle you and spending times with you ended up with him going back to his work late

He loves you with all of his heart and he never dares to not return the affections because you have to feel how good you make him feel!

He’s also not ashamed of giving you affection or you giving him too much in public, like when he’s having a meeting with the Olympus gang. You who weren’t even invited is sitting on his lap and calling him like “hades my pookie bear” he loves it a lot and love his relatives’ reactions (Poseidon being the most disgusted)

He cares a lot like A LOT about you, example like when you cough a little he would immediately become worried and ask if you’re ok, he’ll go get you warm water and meds

Of course you tell him to calm down, although you love that about him

He doesn’t often get jealous because he trust you and loves you! Though sometimes he’s a bit unhappy when you’re too close with some other god/goddesses. But he wouldn’t cause a scene and just look away until you’re back to him

He🗣️definitely🗣️cook🗣️so🗣️good🗣️even though most of the time you would cook for him, but when it’s his day off he would make the most delicious meal known to Olympus for you, his love of his life

He could go on days ranting about how you’re a light that lit up his dark life into a fun spontaneous one, he loves you so much even words can’t even describe how much he cherish you

༉‧₊˚. — the supposed most perfect god had fallen in their respective battle. if he had lost, what was he waiting for the others?

༉‧₊˚. — noticing your growing anxiety HADES mimicked your previous action, bringing his hand to your leg which was beginning to tremble.

༉‧₊˚. — stopping his conversation with the others the god completely focused on you.

༉‧₊˚. — the trust between the two was immense. one knew the other perfectly, so obviously he already had an idea of what exactly was happening, although he preferred that you tell him directly.

❝my dearest, is everything okay?❞

༉‧₊˚. — and that's what you did. you told him your current concern with your actual situation.

༉‧₊˚. — he heard everything you said, each and every one of the things that were going around in your head; while his hand continued on your leg, caressing it softly as a way to comfort you.

༉‧₊˚. — HADES got closer to you and kissed your forehead.

I should probably focus on the requests instead but I was listening to Wait for Me from Hadestown and I felt the need to write something inspired (I'm not over round 7 yet.)

I'm not even sure it makes sense but I just felt like it hahahah

Hades x Persephone!Reader, kinda angsty

"Wait for me"

"It's almost spring, we'll try again next fall." time was always against you - you were immortal deities, yet you never seemed to have enough time: not enough time to talk about you doubts, to have a conversation, almost feeling like strangers. There was always somethign interrupting you. "Next fall", he would always repeat it, yet every fall nothing changed.

"Wait for me?" you were hopeful as usual - maybe this year things would go differently, you just needed to overcome spring and summer then you would have had six more months to fix everything with Hades. As long as he would be waiting for you in the Underworld, you were sure you could save your relationship.

"I will." he promised smiling peacefully, as you started approaching Hermes, who would be your guide to the outside world, that of the living, like every other year. You would be waiting for him, for the day you could go back to the cold Underworld and spend another six months with Hades, despite your place supposedly being in that another world, all flowers, light and life, but from which you were groing more and more detached.

Yet, those were just empty words. Promises were easy to shatter, you knew all too well. It only too 12 minutes and 57 for that promise to be broken. No more waitings, no more falls, not for Hades at least. No winters, springs nor summer either. Everything ended the moment Qin Shi Huang's sword pierced through him. You almost felt as you were being pierced to death too. You were immortals, you weren't supposed to feel this, to die this way, like those humans you looked down on. Deities weren't meant to be that way.

As Hades started shattering right before your eyes you came to the realisation that next fall, nobody would be waiting for you. The Underworld would come back to being that place you once feared and loathed, before getting to know its lord. Now everything you knew was gone and lost forever. The crown was still yours, yet there was no king to sit beside you.
