This pink and white kaftan was first worn by Mihrimah Sultan in the second episode of the second season of Magnificent Century. The kaftan is worn twice in the third season. First by Esmanur Hatun in the sixteenth episode and then by Nergisşah Sultan in the thirty-second episode.
Şehzade Mustafa (later Sultan Mustafa I) wears the kaftan in the fourth episode of the first season of Magnificent Century: Kösem. The kaftan was altered to look more like a dress before its use on Hanzade Sultan in the sixteenth episode of the second season.

“The drama played out by the Ottoman princess sisters, Neslisah Sultan (right) and Hanzade Sultan, is reminiscent of William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew". At one point, Princess Hanzade expressed her desire to marry an Egyptian prince. However, her father, Ömer Faruk Osmanoğlu, opposed the union, arguing that his eldest daughter, Princess Neslisah, should marry first, before the younger ones. This undoubtedly infuriated Princess Hanzade, but in the end she managed to fulfil her wish.” - Submitted by cenacevedo15

Son Halife'nin kızının elbisesini din-i İslam'a aykırı bulmadığı gözüküyor. Yazdığı 35 sayfalık bir makalede Osmanlı Padişahlarını tahlil etmiş, İkinci Bayezid'in içkiye düşkünlüğü yüzünden sefil, İkinci Selim'in 'sefih bir sarhoş' olduğunu ifade etmiştir. Üçüncü Ahmed'in sefahat tarafından ele geçirildiğini söyleyen Halife, Sultan Abdülmecid'in 'içki müptelalığı yüzünden hayatını kaybettiğini' belirtecektir.

Family of Murad IV. Its terrible to see how many of his sons just died as infant. Evliya said that all his sons were born with poor health, so I guess it was some kind of genetical disorder, because otherwise we cannot explain the death of this much young baby. Seems like his daughters were not involved as they mostly reached adulthood or at elast died as kids (which was unfortunatelly normal back then). Handan Sultan, Sultan Ahmed I and Murad IV themselves also had poor health and died young, probably Murad inherited it from Handan and Ahmed and for some reason in his case it went through and reached his sons also? I dont know but it is interesting... We know that there are genetical disorders which effect only boys.

These red and golden dresses were first worn by Şehzade Selim’s and Nurbanu Sultan’s triplets İsmihan, Gevherhan and Şah Sultan in the thirty-fifth episode of the fourth season of Magnificent Century.
One of the dresses was used again on Hanzade Sultan in the second episode of the second season of Magnificent Century: Kösem.
