Synopsis: Todo Hinako is a rookie detective who joined the force because she wanted to find the boundary between people who kill and those that do not. i’ve been playing P5R for a while now, and the realization that i wasn’t entirely sure how aware Maruki was throughout P5R crossed my mind. and so here i am, a few hours later since i’ve been thinking about it, gonna share a few things i thought of.

might add more as time goes on, since Maruki’s still got lot of potential

CONTENT WARNINGS: whumper-turned-whumpee (Maruki), emotional whump involving a minor (Futaba), magic whump; leads to emotional / physical consequences

Maruki has some pent up anger on a few people, and sometimes his control on his anger slips so he, intentionally or not, projects thinly veiled threats into someone’s mind

He’s done it lots throughout 3rd semester, but he just puts on a nice smile in some weak effort to control himself. Lots of people don’t call him out on it as he rewrites reality as he pleases

Maybe his control fully slips, and he punishes some people for being defiant; I’ve been thinking that he did this (from least to most) to the Thieves, Akechi during the early days of 3rd semester, and especially Sumire

Poor girl got the brunt of the punishments because of how unstable her control was of Cendrillon, while Akechi was able to “defend” himself so to speak thanks to Loki

The punishment of the Thieves were more for security purposes, Maruki got paranoid on January 8th and gave himself some insurance. Though amongst themselves, Akiren and Morgana got the worst of it (while the least varied between Futaba, Haru, and Makoto).

And after all of 3rd semester, there’s going to be prolonged damage both on Maruki and all he inflicted these slips of anger on (Thieves, Akechi, Sumire, etc) and its similar to sound torture, but way worse

And post-3rd semester damage is focused on Maruki since he struggles to heal, being on his own and without a good support group

(Shibusawa and Akiren sometimes visit Maruki, but the two aren’t able to help him because of conflicts on their schedules. That leaves Maruki to be alone more often.)

There’s some days that feel like Maruki’s Actualization backfires on him

Like, he gets to have all of his fights played back to him from the perspective of the Thieves, and he realizes how far gone his grief and anger took him

Or maybe he still feels Azathoth’s presence, and as some messed up coping mechanism, he uses the fading power he once wielded to alter his own memories or create new ones where he felt “happy” or “free”

But this also backfires, like a harsh form of self-harm; Every time he rewrites any part of his memories, its like jamming a blade down his skull and carving letters into his brain

It’s enough to get him to stop, but sometimes he keeps going. But it all ends up with him keeping most of his memories from the past to replay in his head in the future. As a reminder of where he came from, of what he was supposed to be doing now.

I would love to be that kind of writer that can't choose a favorite but this would be a lie :) My favorite series are "Alex and Neo" and "Evie" as a whole.

Now, as a reader, I find it so hard to choose! But here I go:

@whumpzone's 'Col and Linden' and 'Rowe and Tomas' are amazing. Col and Linden were the first 'pet whumpee think caretaker is their new master' thing I ever read and is what made me write Alex and Neo.

@sideblogformindtrash's a lot of things, but my heart has a special spot for 'Sunflower' and 'Orfeu and Haru'

I have yet to finish because ADHD but @spookyboywhump's Zander/Wren stuff is *chef's kiss*

Hi. My name is Rosie (they/them) and I’m going to start right off the bat by saying that sincerely doubt that I’ll do any writing. This is just going to be a side blog to reblog whump on.

But anyways, shoutout to all who got me into whump! (You’ll find the I mostly like pet whump. I also like non human whumpees but since I’m new here, so far I haven’t found any stories that really stuck out to me, only prompts, so if anyone has suggestions, please tell me!)

Howdy there!! I have a few... I hope they're what you're looking for.

@unicornscotty has two great series that have just started and that i recommend. She has a Box Boy Universe story (pet whump) that is just getting better and better as it gets started. Also she just started a pirate series (you may have seen some of it with Ritz's story) that just posted its second part. Hella good, whump on its way.

@tears-and-lilies has her Glorien series. I could take all day to talk about it. It's some sweet sweet medieval whump/royal whump. Its got some nsfw spots but it's absolutely wonderful. 🌼whumperflies🌼 all the way.

@just-a-whumping-racoon-with-wifi has her popular Tool series. Its a really intriguing concept that she writes and its kinda creepy but absolutely beautiful. Not really pet whump but just super interesting.

@pine-lark has a good series with a tiny whumpee. Its got some nsfw elements but I do love reading it.

If you're into more like nsfw stuff (very explicit) @spicywhumper has a great assortment of ocs and stories if that's your thing. (A/b/o. Mostly)

Of course my spouse @sideblogformindtrash has their Blue series. Pet whump all around!!! Has some nsfw elements and has lots of potentially triggering content but overall it gets you invested immediately. Also their Haru and Orfeu story line is really good. Highly recommend. Great characters !!

@spookyboywhump just has beautiful writing and hits a lot of my favorite tropes. (Gags, restrained whumpees, pet whump) so if that's your thing go for it.

@whump-me-all-night-long has a new storyline, The Jewelry Box! OoooooH its good so far and there's only like 2 parts. Creepy whumper, stress positions, kidnpaping!?!?!? Hell yeah!

Orfeu is at his element. He is the one drinking and getting hook ups and just overall having a lot of fun.

Blue has gathered a small audience of drunk people and is entertaining them by just being himself. They are all in awe by how adorable he can be.

Haru has dislodged the dj and is drunkenly playing with their stuff, making the most random songs play and spinning the spinny disks.

Garland is frozen in the corner being socially awkward because he tries to flirt once but failed and is now too embarrassed to keep going. He thinks the bar only has cheap nice stuff too so he is sober.

BB and Pastel are dancing with each other in a corner. They are considering stealing Farlans car to go somewhere else.

Sunflower and Andy were at bad by nine already.

Warren has been kicked out after trying to invade blue's little joy circle.

Pumpkin is having his own party alone at seans farm 🎉🎉

Sean is there to pick his next victim. He's not having success with how badly the environment was disturbed by the others
