Dude I loved Sandstorm up until now but it's so annoying and out of character for her to be so pissed off at FireHeart for not giving her an apprentice. There are so many other warriors that wanted apprentices too but she's taking it personally bc she's his best friend 馃拃 He has other responsibilities dude. Not to mention all the other problems she could be worrying about?? Tigerclaw?? The feral dogs?? Bluestar losing her marbles??

I need a spin-off about the ordinary everyday lives of all of Foot and Karai on the ship
I do like thinking about their day to day :') this def is just a lot of word vomit and I go on a tangent abt their favorite movies figndlgndl but I think about life on the ship a bit
Tigerclaw is usually in the main command room with Honeycutt, Karai will usually dip in for a second to bug him before either 1) snagging the TV from Chris/Zeck/Steranko/Whoevers on it atm or 2) she does spend a lot of time in the holoroom. Steranko and Zeck (if they aren't watching TV) hang out in their room. Baxter is usually holed up in his bedroom or utilizing Honeycutt's lab. He鈥檚 built himself an emulator game system and uses Honeycutt鈥檚 media library to play TONS of video games. Chris trains, or sleeps, or watches TV.
Y'know I haven't really put a ton of thought into what *Xever* does in his off time. Like yeah, he probably uses the holoroom to train (*coughs*visits the beach*coughs*) like everyone else- but I feel like given they have a vast library of Earth media at their disposal he starts to actually get into movies and TV shows. I always headcanoned him as like... not super into either just bc it wasn't something he was raised with/stayed caught up on? So he probably sticks around whenever someone puts on a show just to see what鈥檚 up
anyway now you're getting the movie night headcanons
okay so EVERYONE watches SO much TV on that ship. Right now as a group they're working through different 90's sitcoms. It鈥檚 like, one of the only times they can all gather and not fight. They all have varying tastes in movies too.
TC makes like a movie night schedule and whoevers night it is gets to pick what they watch.
Steranko leans more into classic movies from like the 50's onward or comedies
Zeck's really into heist movies but also like 80's sci-fi (LOVES shit like Bladerunner, Tron (obvi), Videodrone)
Tigerclaw usually picks either a spaghetti western or a Kurosawa movie
Chris actually also *really* likes Kurosawa movies but he'll usually pick his own material (NO ONE LIKES CHRIS'S NIGHT FOR THIS REASON except Steranko who actually likes his movies)
Karai's actually really into horror films (so far has made everyone watch Tokyo Gore Police and Alien)
Baxter almost never participates in movie nights but when he does its something like Jurassic Park or Avatar (aliens, genetic modification, sci-fi aligned)
Xever spends like an hour figuring out what to watch until he eventually just settles on a random movie that looks interesting. This is how everyone on that ship has watched Surf鈥檚 Up
Honeycutt usually doesn鈥檛 pick a movie, but will watch with everyone :>
(Thanks @loco-warehouse for helping w Baxter鈥檚 movies fkgbldfnldfjdln)

Some Dark Forest members that either are put there in the rewrite or little OCs (that aren't really important too often but the Dark Forest needs more than 10 cats come onnn)
Version 1.1: Lizardstripe is now a pretty different kitty and is no longer on this list, her ex Mudstep is here however, and Leopardstar's morality has finally been cemented.
Version 1.2: Clarified Batear and Fenneldust's crimes, as well as recreated Clear Sky's role as no longer self inflicted, but rather a punishment from his first victim.
Spiderclaw - Spottedleaf's killer instead of Clawface, Brokenstar's lackey.
Thornclaw - Supports the Dark Forest, dies during the Great Battle and banished upon death.
Mudstep (Lizardstripe's mate) - Though he had an okay relationship with Runningnose, and was proud to raise a Medicine Cat son, he was a terrible mate and poor excuse for a father, the cherry on top being his physical abuse of Brokenkit. Abuse of kittens and mates is not tolerated by Starclan.
Rabbitswoop - Riverclan Dark Forest Trainee, he takes one of Mistystar's lives before Hawkfrost kills him.
Milktail - Born during the Brokenstar era and hates her non-clan born adopted brother. She supports Tigerstar, Blackstar makes her deputy after her "I'm sooo sorry' act that actually is convincing. She and Mistfang (Tigerstar's surviving sister) try to kill Blackstar only to get stopped by her adoptive brother. She is a piece of the Blood Will Spill Blood Prophecy (which you can imagine drove her mad), along with Hawkfrost killing Mistfang.
Mistfang - Speaking of. Tigerclaw's dickhead sister. Her attitude stemmed not from 'being spoiled' or anything like that. But the fact that her brother was praised for his strength non-stop, which made this once sweetheart begin to act more like her brother, on a very dangerous path. She thinks her brother is perfect, and idolized him. She followed him to the Dark Forest after being killed by her own nephew.
Nestfur - Another Brokenstar lackey, killed by Mudclaw during the Battle Of Bloodclan.
Parsnipfang - Shinecloud's brother. Oakstar's brother-in-law, Birchface and Frecklewish's uncle. Tried to kill the leader and abused his mate to gain power, Oaksnap (Oakstar) killed him before he could kill the leader, becoming deputy after his death, but something feels... Familiar, about that scenario.
Ratscar - Dark Forest Trainee who kills (yes, KILLS) Blackstar with Redwillow's help (not that he'll let Redwillow have any credit), before Ferncloud beats him into paste.
Rotflower - Rainflower.
Leopardstar - Genuine Tiger Law supporter who tried to instill the mentality into Hawkfrost, and allowed Tigerclan to get out of control/endorsing it.
Onestar - Prison Sentence, but not for too long. Roughly 1 and a half moons.
Sol - After his death, he is banished here and he is PISSED about it, everyone picks on him, guy basically has a kick-me sign on his butt.
Frecklewish - HANG ON! Let me explain. She CHOSE to be in the Dark Forest, because she realizes what Thunderclan has done, and no one but Mapleshade was punishes for trying to give them justice. She can travel the border at will, but spends most of her time in the Dark Forest.
Batear - Fenneldust's boyfriend who helped cover up the murder and supplied the 'weapon', a Boar.
Fenneldust - Thunderclan cat who killed the Medicine cat that gave an omen that she would make a bad deputy. Gee, I wonder why?
Quick Water - Apologizing as you bleed out is not enough. She is one of the OLDEST spirits there, and is mostly uninvolved in things.
Oakstar - Only punished after a huge uproar Frecklewish started. But he seems to be missing. How odd...
One Eye - The OG Dark Forest King.
Star Flower - A genuine force of evil, like she should have always been. Dark Magic practices and trying to destroy the Clans leads to her getting trapped in the Dark Forest.
Clear Sky - Due to not being leader, his toxic influence is now seen by the spirits of Starclan. Bright Storm had the most perfect punishment for him. You wanna make borders? You can be one. To protect the cats of Starclan from the ones in the Dark Forest, Bright Storm and the other cats of Starclan sacrificed his spirit to become the fog border around the area, the fog choking and thick, just like his thick white fur. Now only appears as blue eyes in the shadows and a disembodied voice. His spirit has whittled away, now gaining holes in it. Not to mention the... things... rumored to be laying within the fog.
Gray Wing - The OG Curse Layer. His horrid enabling behavior has damned him, but he'll never see it that way. He technically still roams the earth, but he SHOULD be here. His hatred is toxic, and he plans to destroy the Stars of the Clans, starting with Riverclan....

what鈥檚 ravenpaw like in this rewrite 馃憖
Unfortunately, Ravenpaw still has to leave since ol' tiger is still a murderer, but things do differ!
This got really long and sort of dramatic, so more under the cut
Firstly, he has a sister, Cherrypaw. She dies in the same fight that Tigerclaw came back from with Redtail's body. He also carries her back. Importantly, he did Not kill her, but Ravenpaw was in such shock afterwards that he thought he did. She is brought up repeatedly by Ravenpaw and the other apprentices, she was the bold optimism to Ravenpaw's anxious worry.
Ravenpaw leaves similarly to the books, but unlike the books, they actually hold vigil for him. They see him from time to time, particularly for more details on redtail's death, but in Book 8 a gang of rogues take over the barn to try re-create the more murdery side of bloodclan, so Raven, Barley, Fire, and Scourge (Ice at that point) team up to chase them off.
He also has vitligo. So there's not much white on his fur when he first shows up, but by the time the clans leave the territories, there's far more of it.
They say their goodbyes to him when their leaving for the mountains, and Firestar promises he'll come and visit if he's in the area, and asks him to direct Greystripe to the mountains if he appears, as Grey still gets captured in this.
However, when Greystripe arrives, Ravenpaw is dying. And Greystripe knows it, because he grew up with Raven, and Cherry, and Chestnutkit, the third littermate who died in the greencough epidemic just before the first book. Anyway, Grey and Millie stay at the barn for a while, postponing their return to the clans to keep an old friend company as he slowly worsens from an unknown illness that even the twolegs can't fix. Liver cancer, to be specific, but the cats don't know that.
Raven and Barley are mates, and he always wanted kits, despite his anxious demenor he was fantastic with them, and he wanted to help more cats like him, that had to run away from a group or cat. But, he knows he won't get to, as he's laid in his death bed and fed by his old friend and his mate, both of whom know he won't recover. He feels himself slipping, so he asks Greystripe to do one thing: give him a warrior name.
Now, greystripe is not deputy at any point in this rewrite, and even if he was, he wouldn't have clearance for such a ceremony normally. But this is a dying apprentice ceremony, and so, Greystripe asks what he wants to be called. He picks Ravenfern, after the ferns his sister used to wear in her fur and play in so often when they were kits. Greystripe agrees, and performs the ceremony as best he knows how. Ravenfern passes less than a half hour later.
Barley is, of course, very upset by this, but he's gone through a lot, and he knows Ravenfern would want him to carry on. And so, he sends Greystripe and Millie on their way to the lake territories, and opens up the barn as a refuge for any cat who needs it. And its a massive success, having dozens of cats pass through the barn every cycle (year) and even having some cats be born there.
In particular, one queen passes through, with a litter of three following weakly behind her. He feeds them, as he does with every cat, the healthy cats currently passing through help out with the kits as well. But the queen admits she cannot raise them, she didn't mean to have them and her twolegs would not allow them to stay with her, so she gives them to Barley. They don't look much like him, nor Raven, one cream and two blues, but he raises them as his own, telling them tales of the wild cats who lived there, and the fantastic tom he fell in love with.
Eventually, a long, long time later, the clans pass back through, having to find yet another territory. Firestar is dead, and most living cats may not even remember Ravenpaw and Barley, and yet Brackenstar takes the time to drop by on the way, and checks on Barley and his three kits. Lola, Sadie, and Bread. The clans were already aware of Ravenfern's passing and new name, as Greystripe announced it at the gathering he returned to, but Sandstorm is still saddened to not see her friend. They weren't close, but they were nurserymates.
Lola and Bread end up continuing Barley and Raven's legacy once Barley passes, but Sadie leaves to join Bloodclan, who replace Skyclan in this rewrite and are being brought back to the new-new territories by Alderheart.
Oh, and barley plants a bunch of ferns around the edges of the barn in memory of him. He may have died young, but his legacy never stops.
(When firestar learns of Ravenfern's passinng, he holds an all-night vigil with Sand, Dust, and Grey. The first vigil wasn't real, but this one is. He knows the vigil is moons too late, but he hopes his friend found the way to Starclan easy enough)
Sorry for the slightly story-esque drama ramble, but yeah, thats what happens with him.

Idea that I might incorporate: Raggedstar takes Brokenstar's place in what he does (kit killing, driving out windclan etc.) and he remains a very popular leader in his own clan despite being a piece of crap. He's petty, he's always gotten what he wanted in life through fighting and it WORKS. Aaand Yellowfang does not wanna be his mate anymore because he's a piece of shit. And it hurts him to his core but he's a manchild and cannot deal with it in a good way. He takes Foxheart as his mate to make her jealous. it does not work. He forbids Brokenkit (who's gonna have a different name for a few reasons so he'll be Acornkit here) from visiting her or talking to her, and when Runningkit becomes her apprentice, him too. And she doesn't budge. He keeps undermining, ridiculing, tormenting her every day, and because the clan likes him a lot join in. And Yellowfang really, truly, does not give a shit anymore. she'll be as snappy and rude to them as she wants because she's right there, the senior clan medic, doing her job and keeping them alive after border skirmishes or greencough outbreaks. Raggedstar takes out his frustrations through fights very often. Windclan was a huge one of course, it felt good to have so much new territory, he felt powerful. but Yellowfang immediately pushed back, screaming at him of how much of a FLYBRAIN he just was, they cannot even hunt on the moors so now he has tree-lenghts of tree-lenghts of territory he cannot even use. But other cats backed her up officially for the first time, voicing that the senior medic was right, so he takes drastic measures so that nobody would say this again. Cut to the end of Into The Wild, Yellowfang's still got that fight in her, but she's tired. She cannot stand the swamp anymore, and Nightpelt.... He feels it's his duty to become leader, an old friend of hers, he wants to make it right by her. But quiet, unassuming Acornshell bides his time. That was his father they just threw out. Yes he did bad things, but even he, his own son, suffered them, and he was fine! He forgives Raggedstar in fact! He knows he meant well and he wasn't even that wrong! And he's the one, alongside Runningnose and Blackfoot, to help the new attack on Thunderclan with his father, new violence that thankfully ends badly for the ex-leader, with his death. Acornshell is kept as a prisoner, blinded by Yellowfang, as he spits insults at her, of how heretical she was for having her rightful leader killed. Tigerclaw sees the opportunity to have Bluestar lose even more credibility, and spreads the rumor of Raggedstar being alive, and Yellowfang having to tend to the prisoner all day and night because of the leader's orders. Nightstar is enraged at this- HOW DARE SHE HURT HER AFTER ALL OF HER HELP TO THUNDERCLAN? Tallstar agrees to help them, and the attack is launched.
But when Nightstar sinks his fangs into Acornshell instead of Raggedstar, not recognizing him until he notices the bent tail, it's too late. Bluestar is saved by a little miracle from Tigerclaw's attack, and the traitor is revealed as such in front of three clans. Nightstar is shaken, and willfully gives up his leadership in Shadowclan, not choosing exile only because he knows he's near the end, even if he could now take his nine lives. Tallstar is indebted to Thunderclan, and Shadowclan is now indebted to Thunderclan AND Windclan. Those are some big shoes for Cinderfur to fill- ah she's dead. and now half the camp is poisoned. Runningnose has a solution tho! right, Blackfoot? Dear repented and clearly chosen by Starclan Blackfoot? Right buddyyyyyy??
So Blackfoot, still technically deputy, is in hot waters, now DOUBLY indebted to Thunderclan because of Lynxpetal (check previous posts, it's Cinderpelt but not really) helping them with the plague. so when the newest leader Leopardstar offers an alliance? He didn't even think twice before accepting, she said she had a perfect candidate to help him out free of charge! It's TIGERCLAW again! and now he goes as "Tigerstar"! who died and made him leader?... Nightstar apparently. He's dead dead now.
and Blackfoot is just another pawn, again.

hi- hope you're having a good night! i'd love to hear about redtail in your rewrite, if you're doing anything new w him. he's one of my faves!! or brindleface if you've talked abt him before 馃槄 thank you!!!
I have talked about him before! Here you go~
In short, he's an extremely serious, rule-obsessed, dependable deputy. His apprenticeship overlaps with Tigerclaw's, and Thistleclaw was his horrible uncle with Rosetail being his mama (invokes Queen's Rights; no sire). Redtail succeeds Thrushpelt as deputy-- he was not Bluestar's first.
His role in my rewrite is still pretty small, he gets 'summoned' by Spottedleaf in a ritual called channeling shortly after his death, showing Fireheart how he'll be able to informally get in touch with StarClan.
But he's got such a fun personality and a great dynamic with his sister Spotty that everyone here really adores him! Spottedleaf is a rogue StarClan warrior, always breaking the rules to sneak out and help the living however she can, much to Redtail's chagrin. I do a lot of side material for them, always popping up in asks and sketch requests.
(He is based off the Redtail I imagined him being when I was a kid, which is why he's so different from canon btw. It wasn't a case of me intentionally changing him like I did with Spotty.)
Brindleface
Also has a pretty minor role, really! TPB is one of the arcs that doesn't need too much reduxing, so the originals are generally intact.
But, she invokes the Queen's Rights like a lot of others. None of her children have a father... and Ashfur is from a later, single-kit litter! Ferncloud and her sister, Elderberry, are the two survivors from the first, Cloudkit being suckled after Tulipkit sadly dies.
Ashkit was very young when his mother was killed by Tigerclaw, and his older sisters had to step in to raise him. Cloudtail helped a lot, being the sisters' best childhood friend.
One unfortunate change I had to make though, is that Brindleface is no longer the adoptive mother of Cloudkit. She just allonurses him for Fireheart, who is his adopted single father. Reason why is over here

Healer Ravenpaw (Part 3)
Ravenpaw tells Fireheart, Graystripe, Yellowfang and Cinderpaw as much information about Redtail's murder as possible
Graystripe reveals he may have a way to get details of Oakheart's death from some RiverClan cats which makes Fireheart nervous but neither of them share details
Later on, Fireheart and Graystripe take Ravenpaw aside and tell him about Graystripe's secret girlfriend Silverstream
Fireheart gets information that confirms that Oakheart was killed by falling rocks before Redtail was killed and RiverClan was under the assumption that Redtail had died from his wounds after the battle
Fireheart presents this information to Bluestar but is again rejected and sent away
Thornpaw and Brightpaw are made apprentices and Cinderpaw feels guilty for feeling jealous that they might become warriors before her
Ravenpaw points out that Cinderpaw has proven herself quite useful to him and Yellowfang and he offers to mentor her once he gets his full name at the next half moon gathering(Cinderpaw is excited at the prospect of being useful again)
Ravenpaw gets his full name Ravenwhisper(in honor of his soft spoken voice and selective mutism)
Ravenwhisper has a long discussion to make sure Cinderpaw actually would want to become a healer as he refuses to train her if she felt forced to accept
Cinderpaw remains steadfast in her choice to become a healer so Ravenwhisper accepts her as his apprentice
Cloudkit causes problems in the background
Goldenflower reveals she's pregnant which concerns Ravenwhisper a bit as Bluestar makes Tigerclaw the temporary deputy while Goldenflower moves into the nursery
The river floods and soon afterwards Fireheart and Graystripe are caught feeding RiverClan and get punished(Cinderpaw finds this hilarious)
Fireheart reveals that Silverstream is expecting Graystripe's kits
Tigerclaw almost drowns Fireheart before Longtail saves him and Ravenwhisper frets over Fireheart to make sure he isn't hurt
Ravenwhisper reveals that Sandstorm has a crush on Fireheart and encourages him to pursue her because Fireheart reveals he kind of likes her back
Yellowfang is sad and reveals that the healers' code against taking a mate causes far more heartbreak than is necessary
ShadowClan exposes ThunderClan for harboring Brokenstar which causes some problems and ThunderClan wants to get rid of Brokentail but Bluestar refuses to throw him out
ShadowClan and WindClan both attack ThunderClan and leave pretty much everyone injured except Graystripe who gets called out for always being away from camp
Brackenfur is made a warrior for warning the clan of the coming enemy
Silverstream has her kits and almost dies, having to be brought to ThunderClan camp to recover while Goldenflower takes care of her kits alongside her own who'd been born the day before
(Small note: Silverstream living in this AU is not because Raven-whisper is better trained than Cinderpelt was at this point in the books. Silverstream lives so Graystripe stays in RiverClan and also her living is more interesting than her dying.)
Tigerclaw brings rogues to camp and tries to kill Bluestar but is stopped by Fireheart who reveals Tigerclaw's crimes and murder of Redtail to the whole clan
Tigerclaw is exiled and every cat he tries to invite into exile with him turns him down
Tigerclaw threatens Fireheart and Ravenwhisper before he leaves, stating he should have killed them both when they were still apprentices
Yellowfang kills Brokentail so he doesn't cause anymore problems and Ravenwhisper receives an omen about Bluestar's leadership rotting away
Graystripe decides to join RiverClan to live with Silverstream and their kits because if he's going to be hated no matter where he goes, he'll at least live with his mate and kits
Ravenwhisper and Fireheart share a small moment of relief that Tigerclaw is gone but knowing that their problems are far from over
Fireheart once again vows to protect Ravenwhisper and Ravenwhisper promises to do the same to the best of his abilities

Ravenrun part 2: forest of secrets
Since the incident with Silverstream, Graystripe felt disconnected from Fireheart and Ravenrun. Ravenrun was too busy looking out for his own safety, while Fireheart was more concerned with figuring out the whole story. The two of them were working hard together trying to get justice.
Fireheart and Ravenrun talk and Ravenrun reveals that falling rocks killed Oakheart. The two and Graystripe go to Riverclan, both to find out if that's true and for Graystripe to see Silverstream. Mistyfoot confirms it, Silverstream is pregnant, nothing changes.
Ravenrun had been training Brackenpaw with Fireheart in Graystripe's absense. Bluestar took note of how Ravenrun did well with training and gave him his own official apprentice, Brightpaw.
Fireheart talks a lot with Ravenrun about his latest adventures finding things out. In this case, it's about the thunderclan kits in riverclan. Ravenrun always listens, but is still often thinking about Tigerclaw.
Tigerclaw and Darkstripe often glare at him or follow his tracks outside of camp. Not at the same time, but Ravenrun assumed Darkstripe told Tigerclaw everything.
Darkstripe decides to follow Ravenrun out to the barn. He sees he and Barley talking and threatens Ravenrun about it when he follows him back. Ravenrun counters this, saying he has more against Darkstripe than he does against him. Enraged, Darkstripe attacks him again. This time, Ravenrun leads it into camp. Darkstripe wounds him, leading to Bluestar interfering.
Ravenrun was right! Yellowfang had been told the truth, Bluestar realized. She promptly exiled Darkstripe for continuously causing issues. He snarls, saying he'll be back. It made her wonder if perhaps Ravenrun really was right about other cats as well...
Tigerclaw is seen going to the twolegplace, which upsets the two warriors greatly. Ravenrun and Fireheart make a plan to patrol here later with a couple other cats.
The two keep going along with Graystripe. At this point, tension has died a bit between the three, but Ravenrun and Graystripe have yet to talk through it. Despite this, they're still there for each other as Graystripe continues visiting Riverclan and they start smuggling prey over the border with him.
On their way to the gathering after the river flooded, Tigerclaw pushes Ravenrun instead. Longtail saves him, feeling pity about the last time he was injured.
Silverstream gives birth with Ravenrun tagging along. He finds heterosexual relationships gross. Silverstream dies and the others help him take his kits to camp. Ravenrun comforts Graystripe, the two rekindling their bond.
Fireheart and Ravenrun train Cloudpaw and Brightpaw together, building the apprentice's bond. Ravenrun and Brightpaw get along due to Brightpaw's quiet yet excitable personality. Her enthusiasm rubs off on Ravenrun while he teaches her to be a bit more cautious, as the young she-cat was so excited that she was a bit clumsy at first.
While out, the four see Tigerclaw with exiled rogues, including Darkstripe. They all attack camp. Ravenrun follows Tigerclaw into Bluestar's den. This had gone on long enough.
The two fight briefly with Ravenrun struggling, but Fireheart helps him. Ravenrun rushes to Bluestar, ensuring that she's alright.
As they're exiling Tigerclaw, Bluestar calls Ravenrun to speak. "What really happened when my deputy died?" He explains everything, and Fireheart helps him explain all the other things the two had seen of Tigerclaw.
Tigerclaw is exiled. Bluestar turns to Ravenrun and Fireheart. "You two are the only cats I can trust. You've grown into fine cats, but I believe I owe Ravenrun an apology. For your endless bravery against these cats and your growth over these moons, you will be my deputy, Ravenrun."
Ravenrun is shocked. Fireheart and Graystripe are just happy for their friend, both for his safety now that Tigerclaw isn't in the clan and for his new promotion.
Graystripe leaves with his kits, leaving Fireheart and Ravenrun with each other.

I finally finished writing a Warrior Cats MAP (multi animator project) script for every song in the 1986 Little Shop of Horrors movie
16 in total because some songs are only in the theatrical or director's cuts
Here's a link :)
And the descriptions:
Prologue: The spirits of Bright Stream, Storm, and Star Flower show the audience the horrific ways in which female characters in the Dawn of the Clans arc were treated by the narrative with slightly sarcastic and mocking cheeriness.
Skid Row (Downtown): Barley and many of the other residents of Bloodclan desperately wish to escape their horrible living conditions in the Twolegplace, and Ravenpaw wants to escape Thunderclan and his abusive relationship with Tigerclaw.
Da-Doo: Sol tells Leafstar's kits the story of how he met Midnight the badger and realized that she was no ordinary badger, remembering too late while telling the story that he doesn't come off as the coolest guy ever in it.
Grow For Me: Ashfur is a nice guy towards Squirrelflight, and the unexpected find of a flame gives him the opportunity to get back at her.
Somewhere That's Green: In this AU, Spottedleaf has wanted to be a medicine cat for her entire life, and Thistleclaw started grooming her partially so that he could take advantage of her being a medicine cat. He is physically abusive towards her, and she pretends that she's just really clumsy when her clanmates ask her about her wounds, since she's scared of what he'll do if she tells them. Thrushpelt and Bluestar are very concerned for her and believe that something else is going on, and they're starting to suspect the truth. Meanwhile, Spottedleaf is in love with Thrushpelt and fantasizes about them running away together and becoming kittypets.
Some Fun Now: Rootspring reels from the loss of Bristlefrost and their future together and feels pessimistic about the fates of the cross-clan couples that will come after them as his calls for all restrictions on cross-clan relationships to be ended are largely unheeded. Sunbeam and Nightheart's blossoming romance offers him temporary hope that love can persist despite these petty politics, which is quickly dashed as the nature of their love, and love in general in his jaded view, is revealed to be something that is fleeting and carelessly toyed with. Haunted by visions of the day he lost his mate and the future they could have had together, Rootspring does not see or care for any potential easement of the current division between him and the other clan cats, who are thoughtlessly moving on to a forever unchanging future together and leaving him behind. But hey, he sure is havin' some fun now.
Dentist!: Snowtuft tells the story of why he was sent to the Dark Forest to a few trainees. He has always enjoyed causing other cats pain, and the medicine cat of Windclan decided that he could minimize the damage Snowtuft could cause by making him his apprentice. He would fight much too viciously if he was a warrior, he would have too much time on his paws if he was immediately sent to the elders' den, he would terrorize kittypets if he was sent away from the clan, and if he was killed before becoming an adult, Starclan would have to let him in. Snowtuft loved being a medicine cat, and he slowly progressed towards having less and less pretense before attacking cats. One day, he forcefully fed an apprentice deathberries with no medical pretense whatsoever, and his mentor finally killed him, sending him to the Dark Forest.
Feed Me (Git It!): Because Hawkfrost was killed twice, he now barely has a body. He is extremely transparent, he disappears for a few seconds if he makes any strenuous efforts, and he can only be perceived by those that knew him well in life. This is incredibly annoying to him, so he attempts to recruit Ashfur to help him. His plan is that Ashfur will possess Bramblestar, cause chaos in the clans, then reveal Hawkfrost and the other double-dead cats to them so that the living cats' memories of them will cause them to become less faded. Then, they'll be strong enough to also possess living cats. Ashfur initially doesn't want to, since he'll get kicked out of Starclan if he fails, but Hawkfrost convinces him by exaggerating how much Bramblestar has been abusing Squirrelflight. Since Hawkfrost barely has a physical form, he doesn't really care anymore if Ashfur is sexually attracted to Squirrelflight and has sex with her while in Bramblestar's body, but he doesn't know that Ashfur is romantically and sexually attracted to both him and her.
Suddenly Seymour: In this AU, after Mapleshade left, the clans became paranoid that she didn't die and was going to come back and kill not only the cats that she still has a grudge against, but also any cats that associated with them. These cats are Reedshine, Perchpaw, Oakstar, and Sweetbriar. The clans have a meeting where they debate on if they should banish these cats for their safety and narrowly decide not to, also coming to the conclusion that Mapleshade doesn't have a grudge against Reedshine's unborn kits because her murders were motivated by her kits dying. However, these cats are completely ostracized from then on. Perchpaw becomes Perchleap and befriends Milkfur, Applepaw, and Willowpaw, but being rejected by his clan is still harrowing for him. He devises a plan to go into the Dark Forest, confirm that Mapleshade is there, and go back and tell his clanmates. Milkfur tries to talk him out of it, but fails. She eventually agrees to go along with him and bring bitter tasting herbs so that they can swallow them and wake up safely when they find her. They successfully find her, and Milkfur manages to escape, but Mapleshade stops Perchleap before he can ingest the herb. She viciously trains him in the Dark Forest, taking any possible excuse to attack him while being careful to not let him die, and his friends watch concernedly over his body. Eventually, Mapleshade leaves for a few seconds, and Perchleap takes the opportunity to run to Starclan. It turns out that Mapleshade purposefully trapped him, and she catches him right before he reaches the border and force-feeds him a poisonous mushroom. Luckily, this causes Perchleap to wake up. His friends, especially Applepaw, who is Applefrost now, support him through his recovery. Perchleap eventually opens up to Applefrost about what happened, and Applefrost is supportive. He was born mute, but Mapleshade inadvertently trained Perchleap to be very good at reading body language so that he could predict her attacks, and Perchleap can now read Applefrost's body language and imagine a voice for him. Applefrost isn't actually lip-syncing. They quickly realize that they have feelings for each other, but Perchleap isn't able to will himself to make physical contact with him at first due to his trauma. He slowly gains confidence with Applefrost's support and eventually succeeds in embracing him.
Suppertime: Swiftpaw (renamed Mossthorn in this AU) survived the dog attack with his front right leg missing but became a social pariah in Thunderclan after isolating himself due to bitterness from his perceived failure and endangerment of Brightheart, resentment at Bluestar's treatment of them, and Cloudtail stealing her away from him. He has since gotten over her romantically while still caring about her platonically, not that they talk much, and fallen much harder for Squirrelflight than he ever had for his childhood crush, hating the way that Brambleclaw abuses her and desperately wanting to be with her, the only cat in Thunderclan he is friends with, instead and treat her better than he does. In the lake territories, Mossthorn finds a juvenile rottweiler, clearly starved and abused, abandoned and tied to a tree by his leash. Relating to him despite his trauma with dogs, he takes care of him, nursing him back to health and managing to convince the rest of Thunderclan to not kill him, although his friendship with the dog, named Squirrel after Squirrelflight, increases his social isolation in Thunderclan further. Eventually, Squirrel reveals that he can speak to him and, with difficulty, manages to convince him to kill Brambleclaw, wanting a taste of cat meat like he had gotten from his former abusive owner in exchange for Squirrelflight being set free. This plan is successful, and Squirrelflight starts dating Mossthorn instead after he convinces her that she didn't deserve Brambleclaw's treatment of her. However, Firestar noticed a patch of Brambleclaw's fur in Mossthorn's claws from their fight and figured out that he killed him, and he attempts to bring him out of Thunderclan territory so that he can kill him, deciding at the last second out of kindness to only banish him and ask him how he has been taking care of Squirrel so that he can take over his care and stop him from starving. Mossthorn takes advantage of this to back him into Squirrel's jaws, killing him.
The Meek Shall Inherit: Various Starclan cats attempt to recruit Spiresight to Starclan, showing him perks such as their powers and power over the Dark Forest and the living cats, reuniting with their loved ones, and the preservation and elevation of their legacies, ultimately only succeeding in freaking him out and driving him to life as a ghost.
Suppertime Reprise: Squirrelflight realizes in a dream that 'Bramblestar' is alive again and finds him in the waking world. She suspects that something is off with him, but doesn't realize that he has been possessed by Ashfur. Ashfur then proceeds to attempt to get some 'water' from her.
Somewhere That's Green Reprise: Windstar is losing her last life after getting hit by a car in the chest/stomach/side while chasing a Skyclan patrol off of Windclan's territory, and she manages to stay alive for a short while to symbolically transfer her leadership of Windclan to Gorse Fur and reassure him that she'll be with him as he makes their shared clan that has become a part of them stronger and that in a way he'll be keeping her and their relationship alive by doing this.
Suddenly Seymour Reprise: Palebird gets to be (as far as I'm aware) the only female character to be allowed by the Erins to have another mate after her first one died. Woollytail is determined to treat her right and provide her with a nice life (as much as one is possible in Clan society) and generally make up for the narrative demonizing her for daring to have postpartum depression. And she's loving it. Talltail is not unfortunately.
Mean Green Mother From Outerspace: Longtail doesn't think that Rusty has what it takes to be a Thunderclan warrior, and they fight. Inspired by SSS Warrior Cats.
Don't Feed The Plants: The clans are overpowered by the Dark Forest in their battle against them, allowing them to take over the lake territories.

Firestar Has Powers As The Fourth - AU
Tumblr media
ooo
so I'm gonna make this a TPB thing
but I will add some afternote info
for future events
in case anyone wants to do anything with this
[which idr if this was ever mentioned, but my designs and ideas and AUs are free to use I just ask for credit]
Rusty is a kittypet who is drawn by the forest and other kittypets are cautious about him as he's always had something about him that unsettled other cats
He seems to know about things no cat does and talks about things he's seen that no one believes exists
Rusty has the ability to basically safely separate his spirit from his body and wander around in his sleep, so long as his spirit has a place to return to
One night while he does this, his spirit travelling through the forest, he notices two cats sitting together - a blue-gray molly and a tortoiseshell molly -, talking. He isn't paying attention to what they say but watches them curiously, as he's done many times, but never so close to where all the strange forest cats slept
Suddenly, after the blue-gray she-cat leaves, the other cat looks and he realizes the tortoiseshell can see him do this and it frightens him into being wide awake
Despite his fear, though, he's also curious on what's going on and he feels himself being called towards the forest
Finally, gathering his nerves, he sets out only to find there's someone waiting for him.
The tortoiseshell from before is sitting out in the open and she greets him the moment she sees him
He asks who she is and she introduces herself as Spottedleaf and she asks if he was the cat that was spying on her and her leader
He sheepishly admits to it
Spottedleaf nods and then turns to an unseen figure that steps out of hiding. It's the blue-gray she-cat.
She's Bluestar and she admits she didn't believe in what Spottedleaf saw for a moment, but is quite curious about this young tom.
They have a long talk that ends in Rusty agreeing to join ThunderClan as long as the two she-cats promise not to tell anyone about his gift, as it has lost him many friends
With no goodbyes to anyone, he follows them
Rusty grows into Firepaw and is quickly mentored by both Bluestar and Spottedleaf. When asked, Bluestar states that she's curious if he's more suited to being a warrior or a medicine cat.
He's not interested in being a medicine cat at all, but rather Spottedleaf, being the only cat who can see him when he spirit walks, just wants to learn the extent of his abilities and such and has no interest in making him be a medicine cat apprentice.
They learn the hard way that she's not the only one, as he's noticed by another cat - a sickly ShadowClan tom.
When he returns, he mentions this and Spottedleaf informs him that who he met was Runningnose. She then speculates that perhaps its those with high ties to StarClan - aka medicine cats - who can see him.
Firepaw eventually goes to full warrior training to avoid any issues with the other medicine cats
Now able to hang out with cats his own age more often, he becomes fast friends with Ravenpaw and Graypaw, though he keeps his secret from them as he's worried they'd no longer want to be friends with him if he told them
He goes through his time in ThunderClan trying to avoid using his abilities - or, at least, not using them enough to get caught doing it
His stance on this changes after Spottedleaf dies, as he realizes he could've spied on ShadowClan and seen this coming, even though he had no clue he would've needed to spy on ShadowClan at all and it's kind of a illogical back and forth with himself
He makes a quiet promise to himself to use his powers whenever he feels he should to avoid losing anyone else
After Bluestar sends him and Graystripe to find WindClan, Fireheart uses his ability to wander until he locates where they are, leading his friend in that direction
Graystripe is in awe, thinking Fireheart is just the best tracker in the four Clans and looks up to him with great fondness
As they lead the Clan back, Fireheart is confronted by Barkface, who admits he isn't sure why, but he's certain that there's something strange about the fire-orange tom and he hopes that whatever that is, that it's for the good of the Clans
Fireheart promises that he's doing all he can to help the forest, even if he wasn't born into it
Barkface liked that
The gorge scene and Fireheart saves Sandpaw, coming to terms slowly that his powers can't help him with everything
Fireheart returns and Yellowfang is now aware of his powers, as Bluestar told her while he was gone. She wants to test his limits rather than just seeing them work. [Cinder and Bracken aren't apprenticed early]
While back to training in the medicine cat den, he learns he cannot physically interact with the living while his spirit is detached
They also learn, after he travels to the Moonstone as a spirit, that he can travel to StarClan and we learn of them a bit earlier than expected. He sees Redtail's spirit and he runs to ask him what happened, but is snapped awake by the sounds of Tigerclaw interrogating Yellowfang on why Fireheart is here
Fireheart interrupts by saying he was considering being a medicine cat
Tigerclaw accepts this answer and tells him he should bring it up with Bluestar
After he leaves, Yellowfang asks if he was telling the truth and Fireheart admits that he's not entirely sure. She informs him that if he chooses to become a medicine cat, there's always a place for him, but she warns him that it's not an easy path
Fireheart is aware of this
She also then adds that he'd never be allowed to have a mate or kits.
He's also aware of this
He goes off on a hunting patrol and while he's out he stumbles across a kittypet and she stares at him from her fence, wide-eyed. He's about to leave when she calls him 'Rusty' and he realizes that this is his sister, Princess.
Princess is happy to see him
He's happy to see Princess
They talk and she reveals she's expecting kits and he starts thinking about what Yellowfang said
Fireheart has been sneaking out to talk to his sister during the day and trains his powers with Yellowfang at night
One day Graystripe drags him off to go hunting before he can leave camp and the two of them hang out for the first time in a long time. Graystripe asks if Fireheart is actually considering being a medicine cat and he admits that he isn't entirely sure yet.
Graystripe, implying to like Fireheart, tells him that he'd rather be able to share a den with him
Fireheart didn't catch on and instead jokes that, with how much Graystripe gets into trouble, that he'll be in there more often than not if Fireheart does become a medicine cat
Graystripe is not impressed and goes off to hunt alone. Fireheart is confused on why his friend was hurt, but Graystripe refuses to talk.
After some time, Fireheart realizes that he isn't the only one sneaking out of camp and he decides to investigate, even though he was doing the same thing
There he sees Graystripe hanging out with a RiverClan cat
He confronts them and Graystripe introduces Silverstream
Fireheart scolds the two of them and Graystripe counters back that he's not the only one sneaking off to see someone
Silverstream leaves the two to argue and Fireheart asks what he's talking about.
Graystripe mentions he knows Fireheart has been going near twolegplace. He asks what business he has there.
Fireheart brings up his sister
Graystripe feels awkward now
Next time he sees Princess, he says he'd have to visit less often. Princess understands.
Whitecough is spreading through camp and Fireheart avoids the medicine cat den for the day as he's not sure what he wants to do with his life.
He goes to Bluestar and asks what he should do
Bluestar is confused
He brings up how he told Tigerclaw he was thinking of becoming a medicine cat
She asks if he's being truthful
He isn't sure
She then asks what he wants to do
He's still not sure
Bluestar gives him the option to train as a medicine cat for a couple moons and he can make his choice then
So Fireheart starts his journey as a medicine cat around the same time Bluestar gets sick. Tigerclaw's attempt to kill Bluestar ends with Fireheart almost getting hit by a car, but he manages to stumble over into ShadowClan territory. He gets scolded for doing so.
Some time later we get Cloudkit in ThunderClan. He is made aware of his kittypet origins a lot sooner and Brindleface loves him regardless and her kits defend him from being bullied.
Fireheart helps heal his Clan from whitecough and, while learning herbs, ThunderClan is attacked by rogues. They win and the Brokentail is Yellowfang's son reveal happens
Fireheart confronts Yellowfang about this and the two have a long talk about what happened with her life and how she had kits as a medicine cat
He's sympathetic but then asks why they don't just change the code
She admits she isn't sure
Fireheart promises change
She laughs a bit and says "sure"
Yellowfang is busy so she sends Fireheart to gather herbs and supplies. He brings Sandstorm for help. The two hang out and bond and she apologies for being an ass when he first joined. He accepts her apology.
The two become friends
They return to learn Cloudkit, Ashkit, and Fernkit are missing. They are found by the two adults and scolded.
Fireheart and Sandstorm are like two disappointed parents and Tigerclaw warns Fireheart not to grow too comfortable around Sandstorm or the kits
Fireheart is confused
ThunderClan helps WindClan against River and Shadow, but Fireheart is forced to stay behind, despite his worries for his Clan. Yellowfang shows him how to prepare herbs for after battles
Fire grows sus of Tigerclaw after learning that Graystripe almost died and the deputy did nothing to help. Graystripe is stuck in the medicine cat den and asks Fireheart to please make sure that the tom didn't hurt Silverstream.
Fireheart promises and Graystripe purrs, calling him a good friend before passing out
Fireheart grows more worried, however, about Tigerclaw and wants to ask Ravenpaw more about what happened that day
While Graystripe is recovering, Tigerclaw seems to be watching over the medicine cat den like a hawk. Fireheart doesn't think he'll be able to leave without being noticed and wonders if he'd be able to use his powers
Fireheart stays behind for the gathering as does Tigerclaw, the deputy stating that he doesn't trust Brokentail.
Fireheart uses his powers and travels to the barn. That's when he learns, for the first time, that he can basically create a shared dream space in StarClan for cats to talk, as he accidentally brings Graystripe as he was thinking about him while creating the space.
The three talk and Ravenpaw tells them everything, seemingly still thinking this is a dream.
Fireheart later confirms this is a dream and realizes then that he can physically interact with Ravenpaw here and realizing he's more or less controlling the tom's spirit to be there.
This makes Fireheart worried, but Ravenpaw and Graystripe wake up safely.
Fireheart has Sandstorm help him get Graystripe out of camp for a bit and the three hang out and bond, warming up to each other. Fireheart is becoming aware about these feelings he's having about Sandstorm and tries to ignore them. However, he also thinks about Yellowfang and how silly the rule that medicine cats can't have a mate or kits is, especially since it's not like he'd be the sole parent of the kits.
He realizes he's thinking like this and tries to act like he wasn't imagining a life with him and another cat
Granted he's not sure who the other cat was, but brushes Graystripe off as an option, since the tom has a mate already
Speaking of, Graystripe got them a chance to talk to a cat who had seen the battle - Graypool - and thinks she may know something. They agree to meet her the next day.
Before they go, though. Apprentices. Cinderpaw goes to Sandstorm, Brackenpaw goes to Runningwind, Brightpaw goes to Whitestorm, and Thornpaw goes to Mousefur
The plot where Graypool tells them about Mistyfoot and Stormfur happens as well as Bluestar being dismissive about it remains the same.
Everything goes about the same, minus Fireheart having warrior duties and more him learning how to be a medicine cat and having conflicting feelings about the rule about not being able to have his own family. Also maybe a bit where Brokentail taunts him about the death of Spottedleaf and how ThunderClan needs kittypets to heal them, which he does his best to ignore.
Fireheart agrees to help Graystripe visit RiverClan during the flood under the terms that he's checking if the medicine cat, Mudfur, needs any aid.
They save Mistyfoot's kits and Fireheart agrees to help them while Graystripe aids a hunting patrol. Graystripe returns, but Fireheart is permitted to stay behind.
This is when he learns that Silverstream is pregnant. He's shocked, but keeps her secret. The two talk for a while and he understands why Graystripe would admire her, as she's independent and has a strong heart. While in camp, however, he notices something strange. Like a shadow is following Silverstream wherever she walks that belongs to a much different cat.
Graystripe is still secretly delivering prey and aiding patrols while pretending to check on how Fireheart is doing.
When Fireheart returns, Bluestar has many questions for him and it makes him curious, but he assures his leader that RiverClan will be okay.
Fireheart notices Tigerclaw is visiting near the medicine cat den more often and sees him near Brokentail and is curious on what's going on. He wonders if there's something going on or if Tigerclaw has developed empathy.
There is another attempt on Fireheart's life [the almost drowning], but Longtail saves him and Tigerclaw brushes off what happened and informs Bluestar about the flood
It's revealed at the gathering by Nightstar that ThunderClan has Brokentail and the other Clans are mad
Shadow and Wind invade Thunder, get chased off etc
Cinderpaw is hurt during the fight and Sandstorm uses that as an excuse to visit, despite also being hurt and needing to visit anyway.
Fireheart notices Graystripe leave camp and he excuses himself. He follows and learns Silverstream is having her kits. Sandstorm and Cinderpaw, who followed, are surprised as well.
The group of them come together and help Silverstream, but she's actively dying. Fireheart lays next to her to help keep her warm and uses his powers for the first time in a bit and manages to use his connection to spirits to keep her alive.
Also Tigerclaw arrives on the scene as he wakes up from saving her
Silverstream and her kits are brought into ThunderClan and Graystripe is revealed to be the father.
Goldenflower helps Silverstream take care of the kits while Tigerclaw yells at the small group. Bluestar takes over the situation.
In private she admits to Fireheart that Mistyfoot and Stonefur is her kits and that she hopes Graystripe knows what he's going to do.
Fireheart asks what she thinks should happen but she doesn't answer
Tigerclaw is still mad
Silverstream is not doing great and soon enough needs to be brought back into the medicine cat den
There's talks of sending her home to avoid any tension with RiverClan, especially since Brokentail is still in camp and Crookedstar would be upset if he learned his daughter was so close to a killer
After a couple days and her condition getting worse, Bluestar decides it's time to send her home, especially after Willowpelt announces that she's expecting Whitestorm's kits
A patrol is sent to get RiverClan and Crookedstar brings some of his warriors to pick up his daughter and her kits. Graystripe goes with them, worried over his kits.
A meeting is held as Cloudkit becomes Cloudpaw. Bluestar personally trains him.
One day Fireheart asks permission to have Cloudpaw collect herbs. Bluestar allows this. He brings Cloudpaw to meet his mother, Princess, instead.
Fireheart becomes Yellowfang's official apprentice now, choosing to use his powers to help, but also still keeping up on battle-training as it's helping him calm his nerves.
While Yellowfang and Fireheart are doing some light battle training to keep their skills up and also talk about Fireheart's worries about Tigerclaw when they see Tigerclaw with a group of rogues
The two run back to camp and things go the same with ThunderClan fighting the rogues and Brokentail siding with the rogues
Fireheart gets Sandstorm's help in saving Bluestar and Sandstorm goes feral on Tigerclaw for a moment before the rogues are chased off
Bluestar exiles Tigerclaw. He tries to get cats to join him, but they all say no.
Brokentail is killed and Fireheart is dragged off to the side by Bluestar and she demands him to help her chose a deputy, since she can't choose him.
He chooses Sandstorm
Bluestar trusts him and she announces Sandstorm as her deputy. Sandstorm is shocked but accepts.
ThunderClan begins recovery and Fireheart is worried about Bluestar and Graystripe - the leader being on edge and paranoid and his friend being far away with no news on how he or Silverstream are doing.
Sandstorm visits him that night and the two talk about what happened - Fireheart not mentioning that Bluestar asked him to choose a deputy - until they fall asleep.
Some time passes and Sandstorm is taking over helping the Clan quite well; Whitestorm is proud of her. She does come to Fireheart with some worry over Bluestar and Cloudpaw, but Fireheart comforts her.
Fireheart is personally worried about what Tigerclaw is doing and seeing Bramblekit only makes him worry more. He has that talk with Goldenflower about her kits
When Fireheart heads out, he noticed Sandstorm is frustrated still and he asks what's going on She mentions apprentices ceremonies and how Bluestar brushed her off about it. She expresses both worry and annoyance about this.
The two go talk to Bluestar and Bluestar tells Sandstorm to do the ceremony if she's so worried about it
So Sandstorm does. Ashpaw is apprenticed to Dustpelt and Fernpaw is given to Darkstripe.
Bluestar's mad that Sandstorm actually did that and the Clan is a little confused, but goes with it. It's also at this point that Fireheart realizes that Cloudpaw is missing, as he was busy with so much.
He asks Bluestar and she mentioned sending him off hunting right as Cloudpaw returns with a single piece of prey.
Fireheart is worried
Bluestar later drags Fireheart off to the Moonstone, leaving Sandstorm alone. She vents to Fireheart and reveals he's the only cat she trusts and she's even on edge about Sandstorm.
She asks if he's sure about being a medicine cat, even offering to drop Sandstorm as deputy and give him Cloudpaw, but he's certain.
They are confronted by a WindClan patrol and Fireheart tries to be diplomatic and use him being a medicine cat as an excuse, but WindClan is made and refuses to let them pass.
Bluestar almost gets into a fight but Fireheart almost drags her back home.
The Clan is also angry after they learn what's going on. Except Cloudpaw, who is rather unbothered.
She returns to her den and doesn't seem worried about Cloudpaw. Fireheart is worried about Cloudpaw.
Sandstorm and Fireheart talk to each other about their worries for Bluestar and Fireheart is very supportive of Sandstorm. This helps the deputy relax and she thanks him awkwardly.
The gathering doesn't go great
Things go the same with Whitethroat and Littlecloud and Yellowfang teaches Fireheart about this disease and what to do about it However Bluestar sends the ShadowClan warriors away Sandstorm helps Fireheart escort them
Fireheart explains to the two on what to do and Littlecloud asks a lot of questions. Fireheart gives what answers he can.
Littlecloud asks if he could come see Fireheart for more information and Fireheart, surprised, looks at Sandstorm, who pretends she isn't listening He then agrees
They watch the two leave through a tunnel and Sandstorm becomes a bit worried, admitting she'd never noticed the tunnel before.
She wants to tell Bluestar, but Fireheart has her promise not to, since he wants to help ShadowClan
She hesitates but agrees
Fireheart comes back and notices that Cloudpaw is just being allowed to do whatever and Bluestar isn't really training him. He drags Cloudpaw out to train but Cloudpaw is a brat about it.
Fireheart tries to counter that he originally trained as a warrior, but Cloudpaw still doesn't care
He lets Cloudpaw wander off but follows him in secret, learns he's eating kittypet food, and gets mad. He talks to Sandstorm about this and the two try to talk to him about it, but he honestly does not care what they have to say.
Soon after Fireheart helps Willowpelt give birth and he thinks about Sandstorm
He tries to push these thoughts away, but he has a lot of feelings towards her
Fireheart is training Littlecloud in Littlecloud's dreams and also sneaks to the tunnels to help anyone that is struggling
Sandstorm catches him and scolds him while also helping. Sometimes she even brings Cinderpaw sometimes, though this is less out of willingness and more out of the fact no one's allowed to tell Cinderpaw what to do, not even her deputy mentor.
Sandstorm also quietly mentions that pretty soon there will need to be warrior ceremonies.
They return to learn that Cloudpaw has been missing for a while and Fireheart panics
He uses his power to try to hunt down Cloudpaw but is unable to find him. He wakes up in an even bigger panic and Sandstorm is confused how he increased panic after a sudden nap.
He tells Sandstorm about his powers and she's surprised but promises to keep it a secret. He informs her that Bluestar knows and that, if she asks, tell her what he's doing.
She guards him as he frantically uses his powers to try to find his nephew. He even uses a moment to inform Littlecloud, who can see him naturally now, and the small tabby promises to help keep an eye out.
During one of his wake ups, he learns from Sandstorm that Bluestar and Whitestorm are aware of what's going on - with Whitestorm to a lesser degree as both she and the leader talked vaguely about Fireheart's powers.
She also brings up that cats are starting to whisper about how much time she's spending helping him.
He's confused for a moment but becomes flustered when he remembered how he was thinking of Sandstorm while helping Willowpelt.
He asks if she's upset he became a medicine cat and she says no, but seems to be holding something back
He then asks if it's possible if the two can remain close and she's confused before he elaborates that he likes her a lot but there's not much that can be done. Even then he goes on and adds that he wants there to be a change because he cares about her a lot. She cares for him, too.
They begin secret dating with plans to make their dating not a secret in the future.
Worries and stress grow through the Clan and there's a small point in time that Fireheart has to stop searching for Cloudpaw in order to help the Clan.
Everyone's worried about Bluestar
While grabbing water for the queens and herbs for Yellowfang, he encounters Graystripe and realizes it had been a moment since he thought of his friend and he feels a little guilty
Graystripe talks about Silverstream's condition and how she's still alive but a lot weaker than before. Still, she's kicking and refuses to go down.
Fireheart is happy to hear that and gives Graystripe some herbs to take back to Mudfur to help Silverstream.
the plot with Mousefur and Thornpaw is about the same, though Fireheart comes to help with Runningwind. While the patrol chases away ShadowClan cats, Tigerclaw attacks Fireheart while he's alone and Fireheart fights back
Tigerclaw actively tries to murder Fireheart with the help of rogues, but Graystripe and a RiverClan patrol help and Tigerclaw is chided for trying to harm a medicine cat
The rogues are chased off, Runningwind is buried, Whitethroat is given a proper funeral, and he vents to Yellowfang about Tigerclaw.
After his wounds are taken care of, he casually brings Sandstorm out of camp to get help gathering herbs, except they just cuddle and talk and she expresses her worries to him
Ravenpaw stumbles across them and chooses not to ask questions, instead informing them of a kittypet with a ThunderClan scent
Fireheart is surprised, Sandstorm is cautious, and in the end they decide to go. Fireheart considers using his powers to make sure, but Sandstorm asks what other ThunderClan cat would willingly become a kittypet.
They have a small argument as he doesn't believe it was willing and she does apologize while they travel.
They Cloudpaw rescue goes the same, including the confrontation with the WindClan patrol. WindClan is still mad at ThunderClan, despite Fireheart's best attempts to be reasonable.
The fire also still happens in about the same way, but Fireheart comes out the full medicine cat of ThunderClan and has a Tigerstar child with him
While in RiverClan, Sandstorm is working hard to keep ThunderClan under control and safe.
Fireheart checks with Silverstream and Graystripe and meets Featherkit and Stormkit. Silverstream still isn't doing the best, but Mosspelt is shown to often help take care of the kits when Silverstream's having one of her weaker episodes.
Fireheart is worried about her but Graystripe is confident that she's going to be okay. Fireheart notices the shadow from before does seem weaker.
Fireheart, Sandstorm, and Graystripe go to check on ThunderClan's camp after the rain puts the fire out. Yellowfang is dying and she talks to them before passing away.
Fireheart is not, even more officially, the medicine cat of ThunderClan. Sandstorm expression worry but he comforts her, both as now the sole cat in charge of healing and as her mate.
ThunderClan returns to their territory, Bluestar declares war on StarClan, Sandstorm starts rebuilding ThunderClan's camp, and Fireheart and her worry over Bluestar only grows.
Bluestar refuses to go to the gather and a stressed out Sandstorm takes over, just getting more and more frustrated to the point Fireheart is hardly able to help.
As they talk about their future and what they're going to do, they get to the gathering to find Tigerclaw is now Tigerstar of ShadowClan.
Sandstorm is angry and calls Tigerstar out for the shit he did to ThunderClan. Tigerstar remarks that he's here to make ShadowClan strong and that ThunderClan is made of weak, know it all cowards.
This is a very unpeaceful gathering and it ends early with ThunderClan barely getting through their news without Tigerstar egging Sandstorm on and pissing her off He insults her covering for Bluestar and taunts ThunderClan about Fireheart until they leave.
Sandstorm informs everyone about Tigerstar and Bluestar is absolutely no help in the situation, confiding her worries into Fireheart and once more making another offer to make him deputy.
Fireheart misses Yellowfang and isn't sure what to do in this situation, still denying the role.
Time passes and ShadowClan is quiet. There is some worry over dogs, so Sandstorm sends a couple patrols at her former mentor's request to soothe any troubled minds.
Fireheart and Sandstorm learn from Graystripe that Crookedstar's unwell and Leopardfur is taking charge of RiverClan. He also brings up how Silverstream is at least healthy enough for short patrols.
That night, Fireheart has a dream and hears the words 'pack, pack, kill, kill'
Worried for Silverstream, he goes to check on her as a spirit only to be confronted by the shadow of a molly who seems to be weakened greatly.
She hisses and attacks him and he's surprised to find that he's actually hurt, causing him to realize that she's a ghost
She's angry that Silverstream is alive and tries to attack him again, seeing it as his fault - also vowing to "get rid of her little scraps with her".
Fireheart manages to chase her off
He returns and is overwhelmed with everything that just happened.
He hears the mentors talking about their apprentices and Sandstorm agrees that they should be made warriors. She's tired of waiting for Bluestar and admits she's tempted to do the warriors ceremony without the leader.
The other cats are in agreement.
He is drawn to the medicine cat den by the sound of Snowkit getting hurt. The whole confrontation with Snowkit happens and Fireheart decides to watch over the kit.
He goes for the medicine cat meeting and learns what all is going on in ShadowClan. That night he spends the time trying to figure things out by himself, but does talk to Yellowfang and Spottedleaf for a bit for their feelings on the matter.
While out gathering herbs, he comes across Sandstorm who came across Princess and stops Sandstorm from smacking his sister by revealing that she's his family
Sandstorm is understanding
They learn that dogs are missing and on their way home, they pass RiverClan and learn that Tigerstar is manipulating Leopardfur and that Graypool is missing
Graypool's death happens
After he returns he also learns Snowkit is deaf. Bluestar does not like this and Speckletail does not like Bluestar. Sandstorm currently also doesn't like Bluestar.
Speckletail and Brackenfur work together to try to train Snowkit with express permission from Sandstorm
Fireheart overhears talks about dogs and learns they found dog scent at Snakerocks. He also overhears Sandstorm and Bluestar's very vocal fight about this and starts heading to the nursery to get away from it when the hawk comes
He makes a made dash to Snowkit and gets hurt as he's almost grabbed by the hawk.
Bluestar is angry at Fireheart being reckless and shows this is more of a sign that StarClan wants to fight ThunderClan.
Fireheart is hurt and needs medical attention but is also ThunderClan's only medicine cat Still, he aids Sandstorm in calming cats down
He gets help from Sandstorm, Brackenfur, and Cinderpaw. They help patch him up, help Snowkit calm down, and he thanks them, joking that they'd be good medicine cats.
Sandstorm scuffs his ear for being an idiot
That gathering that Bluestar leads goes about the same and Sandstorm has to do damage control.
Fireheart learns from Sandstorm that Bluestar wants to start a war with WindClan. They agree on a plan to fake a sign for Bluestar and then just politely ask Tallstar to talk things out.
While they're getting ready, they spot Darkstripe with Goldenflower's kits outside of camp and Sandstorm goes off on him. She bans him from being near the kits and leads them back to camp. Fireheart goes off without her.
He gets Tallstar, makes a sign for Bluestar, and they go for a peaceful meeting.
The meeting is pleasant, but afterwards Bluestar goes off on Fireheart and Sandstorm and warns them that there will be no more treachery like that Sandstorm tries to argue, but Fireheart becomes actually worried for her safety and stops her
Bluestar goes missing for a bit, having gone to Highstones, and comes back with news about her time there and mentions the pack thing.
During one leaffall day, Swiftpaw comes running in from a patrol and mentions how RiverClan attacked a border patrol. Fireheart gathers his supplies and runs to go help.
Sandstorm is unable to stop him.
He comes in time to see Mistyfoot and Stonefur about to kill Bluestar and he stops them. They're confused and confrontational about a medicine cat being on the front lines.
Fireheart reveals that Bluestar's their mother. They don't believe him.
He is then almost thrown by Leopardstar, who is stopped by the warriors, warning her that he's a medicine cat. Leopardstar implies he's an idiot for being in the way of dangers and threatens him harm, only to be chided by her deputy, Stonefur.
RiverClan gets driven away
Fireheart helps cats with their injuries on the way back.
Bluestar holds a warriors ceremony. But only for Cloudpaw. Who is now Cloudtail.
The mentors are angry but she refuses to listen. Sandstorm goes to yell at her for a bit.
While this is going on, Swiftpaw storms out of camp with Cinderpaw, Brightpaw, and Brackenpaw behind him. Brackenpaw s trying to convince them to stop and Cinderpaw was on her brother's side until Swiftpaw made some good points.
Brackenpaw eventually falls back and goes to warn his Clanmates.
Fireheart watches in worry as Sandstorm, Whitestorm, Longtail, and Cloudtail go out to find them.
It takes a while, but they come back injured with three equally injured and scared apprentices. Fireheart tends to their wounds, stressing out greatly over Swiftpaw, who is the most injured. He's worried the apprentice won't make it through the night.
Sandstorm takes over the situation again and decides to hold proper warrior ceremonies, stating that this shouldn't have happened and expressing her disappointment in Bluestar quite loudly.
She makes the apprentices warriors; Cinderstorm, Brightsong, Brackenheart, Thornclaw, and Swiftstrike. She also goes on to make herself Tawnykit - now Tawnypaw's - mentor, has Cinderstorm mentor Bramblepaw, and has Brackenheart mentor Snowpaw - with help from Speckletail.
Bluestar is absolutely outraged and confronts her at the Clan meeting.
Sandstorm isn't having Bluestar's bs.
Bluestar than proceeds to demote Sandstorm and forces Fireheart to play the role of both deputy and medicine cat.
Everyone is confused and concerned, especially Fireheart, who has enough shit going on.
Fireheart spends his time taking care of the injured cats while trying to keep Bluestar calm and also doing what he can as deputy - while just doing what Whitestorm and Sandstorm tell him what to say and do as deputy.
He is overworked
He's still dragged off to the gathering, too, where he looks and feels terrible. He learns Graystripe's kits are apprentices and Tigerstar tries to get custody of his kits.
Bluestar's tempted but Fireheart manages to reason with her
Fireheart is taken away from camp for a bit by Cloudtail, Sandstorm, and Brightsong under the lie to their leader of a patrol. They meet Princess and she is worried.
The meeting with Princess happens and Fireheart passes out the moment he's in the medicine cat den.
He wakes up to Longtail, who expresses worry about dogs in the territory. He only agrees to go with him if he can take Sandstorm and Whitestorm. Longtail agrees and is surprisingly understanding.
Fireheart and Sandstorm take some time alone to be together and just breathe. They're mildly affectionate and she tells him to send patrols this way.
He promises she'll be deputy again
Brindleface death reveal goes about the same
Fireheart teams up with the Clan to make a plan to lead the dogs away from camp and eventually steps back as Sandstorm takes control and lets her be deputy.
He catches Darkstripe again with Goldenflower's kits and Whitestorm keeps a close eye on them.
Fireheart is on the sidelines, ready to help in case something goes bad.
Everything goes okay until the dogs scent him instead of their next target - thanks to Tigerclaw - and Fireheart is forced to flee from the dogs until Bluestar saves his life and gets him out of danger.
The dogs get chased over the edge and Bluestar dies.
The first thing he does is give Sandstorm back her proper place and she's ready to become leader of ThunderClan.
Bluestar is brought back to camp, the funeral, Mistyfoot and Stonefur go back to RiverClan, Sandstorm is announced as the new leader, and Fireheart joins Sandstorm on their trip to the Highstones.
While there they talk about talking to StarClan about their relationship and Sandstorm assures that she has a plan.
Fireheart is confident in her.
Sandstorm becomes Sandstar and gains lives from Lionheart, Redtail, Rosetail, Runningwind, Brindleface, Sunstar, Yellowfang, Spottedleaf, and Bluestar.
Immediately after, now a leader, she states loudly that Fireheart is her mate and she's going to get rid of the rule that they're not allowed to be together because of his role in the Clan
Fireheart is a lot less confident
Surprisingly, however, a lot of the cats are on Sandstar's side. Especially Yellowfang. They agree to talk this over and remind Sandstar that 'leader's word is law'.
After they wake up, Sandstar's very proud of how that turned out while Fireheart's still in shock. She asks him to be her mate, officially this time. He agrees.
They spend the night at Ravenpaw and Barley's and Sandstar and Fireheart have the same horrible dream. When they wake up they make quick goodbyes and hurry back to camp.
The first thing Sandstorm does when she arrives at camp is make some announcements; She names Longtail as her deputy, she announces that ThunderClan will allow medicine cats to take mates - and implies she and Fireheart are together - and tells ThunderClan that they need to prepare for whatever Tigerstar does next.
ThunderClan is a bit mixed about that second message, but they're pretty okay with everything else.
Fireheart expresses to Cinderstorm his concerns about her apprentoce and the warrior counters him, saying that Bramblepaw is a proud young warrior.
He apologizes.
Sorrelkit almost dies and Fireheart saves her. Darkstripe is cornered and forced to admit his crimes before being immediately exiled. Fernpaw's new mentor is Longtail and Longtail does not defend Darkstripe or his actions
There is worries about rogues in the territory and that night Fireheart wanders as a spirit and discovers BloodClan for the first time
He is shaken awake by his own shock
While visiting Graystripe, Fireheart learns more about what's going on in RiverClan and there's genuine worry about the safety of him and Silverstream. Silverstream has fully recovered and has been trying to reason with Leopardstar.
Fireheart brings this news to Sandstar and Sandstar's ready to start a fight with Tigerstar
Tigerstar fails to bring ThunderClan and WindClan into TigerClan and Sandstar goes off on him and Leopardstar She even calls Leopardstar a coward for allowing this tom anywhere near her Clan
Sandstar goes off on her own for a bit to clear her head and Fireheart takes this moment to check on the apprentices and see how they're doing
They could be doing better, especially Tawnypaw and Bramblepaw
Sandstar comes back and vaguely mentions a vision but doesn't go into details.
Ravenpaw had been on his way to pay his respects and check on his old Clanmates when he had stumbled across Silverstream who begged for help in RiverClan
Fireheart, Sandstar, Ravenpaw, and Silverstream go to RiverClan to see what's up
Mistyfoot, Stonefur, Featherpaw, and Stormpaw are in danger. Graystripe is also in danger, but is being held apart from them. Stonefur almost dies when Graystripe breaks out of his containment and helps Stonefur fight Darkstripe and then Blackfoot.
While this fight is going on, the guard for the other prisoners is distracted and the three other halfClan cats are rescued
Sandstar is about to have them go back for Graystripe and Stonefur when they realize that Graystripe is down and Stonefur is about to die next
Leopardstar is unable to watch this anymore and asks for the chance to talk to her deputy
Tigerstar is skeptical but allows this
Leopardstar proceeds to let Stonefur run away [reason being that she was still heavily bothered by Sandstar's words and the drawn out death was getting to her]
Stonefur is badly injured, but the ThunderClan rescue patrol manages to help him
Silverstream is distraught over the loss of her mate and the apprentices are shocked to hear their father is dead
They also learn, after returning, that Tawnypaw ran off while they were gone and no one knows where she is
Ravenpaw tries to help them find her, but parts ways when they can't, promising to keep an eye out for her.
While they're trying to help the RiverClan cats settle - Mudclaw arrives with the news that ShadowClan specifically has attacked WindClan
Fireheart stays behind, but sends Sandstar and her cats off with herbs for those wounded
After a moment, Longtail is sent back to grab Fireheart to help the wounded WindClan warriors. Fireheart follows and is horrified at the sight of what happened to WindClan.
Sandstar decides to confront Tigerstar once and for all next chance she gets and spends the night with Fireheart to soothe her mind
At the meeting, Tallstar and Sandstar both formally reject Tigerstar's offer once again, Tawnypaw's location in ShadowClan is revealed, Bramblepaw stays firmly right next to Cinderstorm - who is a good mentor to him, and BloodClan arrives.
Fireheart reveals to Sandstar he had seen these cats before when he had been looking for the rogues that had been a problem
Scourge, the leader of BloodClan, publicly and horrifically murders Tigerstar, is hostile to the Clans, and gives the Clan a short amount of time to decide if they're going to live or die
Barely able to comprehend what just happened, ThunderClan prepares for what's about to come and Sandstar begs Fireheart to not do anything rash and stupid
He tries his best to promise, but he himself knows that that's a big promise to need to keep
Ravenpaw and Barley join to help the fight
Fireheart and Cloudtail also go to warn Princess about BloodClan to make sure she's safe
Sandstar has another dream and brings Fireheart, Longtail, and the sheltered RiverClan cats along to try to be diplomatic with RiverClan and ShadowClan
They are brought to Fourtrees and the lot of them talk it out. Sandstar, though through some rather 'tough love' means, manages to spark inspiration in Leopardstar and Blackfoot. Leopardstar also formally apologizes to Mistyfoot, Silverstream, Stonefur, Featherpaw, and Stormpaw.
Most of them accept the apology and Leopardstar is understanding about it
She also takes a brief moment to thank Sandstar, but keeps it short and simple and follows it up with RiverClan agreeing to help
Blackfoot isn't here for that mushy stuff and just agrees
Also they learn why Tawnypaw left. She decides to stay in ShadowClan.
Speckletail and current queens are left in charge of camp, as well as Swiftstrike, who wants to tear apart any cat who gets past the Clans' defenses
They go and the battle against BloodClan begins
Whitestorm is still killed by Bone, the apprentices kill Bone, Longtail is almost killed but is saved by Fireheart [and then scolded by the deputy], and while Fireheart retreats to a safe distance, he is almost killed by Scourge
The small cat is about to absolutely obliterate him when Sandstar saves his life and throws Scourge off of him
He watches as Scourge turns and Sandstar loses her first life
Shocked, he runs at Scourge and fights the tom. Sandstar comes back to life as Fireheart kills the BloodClan leader.
BloodClan is chased from the forest
Some other deaths to note; Thornclaw is killed in the battle and Mistyfoot dies of infected wounds days after
And that ends TPB
For some after notes;
Squirrelflight and Leafpool are probably born a sooner than they were in canon and Leaf gets mentored by her father.
Bramblepaw gets the warrior name Brambleflower, more in honor of his mother than ever thinking about his father. Brambleflower likes this. Tawnypaw still becomes Tawnypelt.
Snowpaw becomes Snowtail, Ashpaw becomes Ashfur, and Fernpaw becomes Ferncloud.
Sorrelkit, Rainkit, and Sootkit become Sorreltail, Rainwhisker, and Sootfur
The other Clans are skeptical about the fact that ThunderClan's leader is openly with their medicine cat, but there's only snide remarks at gatherings and no proper confrontation
Snowtail and Ferncloud get together and Ferncloud helps cats learn kitty sign language and helps translate things for her mate
Brightsong and Cloudtail still get together
Swiftstrike and Dustpelt get together and can butt heads on certain issues, but still love each other
Sorreltail and Brackenheart still get together
Cinderstorm gets with the kittypet, Cody, who joins ThunderClan and the two are a happy couple. Cody is a permaqueen and that's an okay and valid thing to do.
This is about as much as I got-
Also Fireheart s 100% aware of his daughter's relationship to Crowfeather and is okay with it as long as he makes her happy

ALRIGHTY SO obviously Ravenpaw doesn't like fighting or hurting other cats but Tigerclaw is pushing him really hard and after witnessing Redtail's murder, Ravenpaw knows he isn't safe anymore. He's close with Spottedleaf bc as a kit he'd always hang around the medicine den and he's gotten hurt a lot so she's like an aunt to him. He confides in her about Tigerclaw and his fears and she believes him because well. she's always had a bad feeling abt Tigerclaw and Thistleclaw was his mentor so there's a natural caution around him. Also Redtail was her brother so she'd be pissed. Spottedleaf mentions to Bluestar that she'd "gotten some signs from starclan" hinting that Ravenpaw was destined to be a med cat. When Bluestar and Spottedleaf talk to Ravenpaw and asks if he'd want to switch training, he's overjoyed. He won't have to leave and he knows that Tigerclaw wouldn't dare to harm a medicine cat. So Spottedleaf trains him and he becomes an advisor to Bluestar. He comforts her after Tigerclaw's betrayal bc he knows what it's like to have his mind tormented by him. After Spottedleaf dies, he's kinda trained by Barkface and Mudfur on the side until Yellowfang comes along. Yellowfang sees this tiny anxious boy and goes. hm. new son. She's a bit softer with him but she's still super grumpy lol. Ravenpaw eventually gets the name Ravensong. While gathering a rare herb a little ways away from TC territory, he bumps into Barley! He's cautious, but this friendly cowboy cat strikes up a conversation and they become friends and eventually, with more meetings, mates. Him and Ravensong are long distance boyfriends and Barley will sometimes gather herbs he's heard Ravensong mention and bring them close to the TC border so he'll find them easier. Cinderpaw still gets hurt but with two med cats already and some convincing from Fireheart and Ravensong, Bluestar agrees to let her continue her warrior training. Ravensong takes Leafpaw as his apprentice and encourages her to follow her heart and leave with Crowfeather. Cinderpelt still dies in the badger attack but isn't reincarnated. I'd say Ravensong lives up until early/mid PO3. Ye that's it lol I've just had Ravenpaw on the brain for like four days sorry if I rambled at some parts
Aaahhh I love medicine cat Ravenpaw aus!!
Also like, let me run off on a tangent for a sec, why didnt Ravenpaw ever tell anyone that Tigerclaw was a bad mentor? Like, i understand he was scared but other cats could see that so like....why didnt somebody go to Bluestar and be like "I think Ravenpaw needs a new mentor, he's terrified of Tigerclaw."
But then again the Erins are literally writing a textbook abusive relationship and can't seem to recognize it so I do acutally know why.
I do love the idea of Ravenpaw getting adopted by Yellowfang, just imagine Ravenpaw adopting her snark and wit. Plus his big heart and empathy, he and Leafpaw would get along like a house on fire! So if Leafpool ends up leaving with Crowfeather, dose she still come back? Without her mentor dying and leaving her with the sole responsibility of clan, do she and Crowfeather still break up or do they keep seeing each other in secret? Would that mean Crowfeather knows about The Three?
Would Leafpool still take on her son after Ravenpaw dies or would Jaypaw have been made a warrior by then? Also, DOSE RAVENSONG DIE BEFORE GREYSTRIPE COMES BACK??? DO THE OG TRIO GET TO REUNITE?!?!

What if Tigerclaw had killed Bluestar, but the youths still came clean with the evidence and convinced the Clan of his treachery?
The clan is, of course, in fucking turmoil because Bluestar is dead and Tigerclaw is exiled. The best they can do for the moment is gather the elders and the senior warriors together for a long discussion on what to do next, all the while Yellowfang keeps a lookout for signs on who might secede Bluestar.
It's a discussion that takes place over a few days, while senior warriors rotate through organizing patrols and keeping clan life running despite everything. Unfortunately, the next Gathering is coming up and they havent seen a sign, havent come to a decision.
In the end it'll come to a vote. The clan is given time to consider their options, and it's generally agreed upon that a senior warrior should be named the leader. Whitestorm is chosen, and even though he wants nothing to do with leadership he'll do anything for his clan and he agrees.
Frostfur is named his deputy for the time being, but all eyes are on the younger warriors now knowing that she will sooner retire than become leader.
If you want me to play nice, I'll give the benefit of the doubt that Fireheart proves himself and is named deputy at some point, while Whitestorm is loosing lives faster than usual to a constantly returning illness (maybe in the chaos of TNP, he finally dies and Fireheart has to take over in the middle of a crisis)
If you want me to be mean literally anyone other than Fireheart becomes deputy because jfc this kid. My votes always for Sandstorm, but Cinderpelt becoming a warrior and taking over is also good too

Redtail: Tigerclaw remains a menace to society
Redtail is a pink nose, a heavy, snowy-white tom with silver-and-black tabby with unusually long front claws, and a stripe of darker fur, and yellow eyes. A ThunderClan tom, born in ThunderClan. Redtail grew up as a hunter among the forest creatures of the ThunderClan territory, but as he grew older, his love for his Clan was greater than his love for his hunting. He never joined another Clan, but in ThunderClan, he became the closest friend of Ashfoot, leader of the clan, who died because of his love for Redtail.
Contents
Appearance and Personality
Redtail is the only Clan cat who is called to the medicine cat's paws, and who, like Ashfoot, is never seen in the day time. He is large for a tom, and is very tall.
A ThunderClan deputy who was born in ThunderClan, Redtail is a strong hunter, who loves to follow the hunting calls of the Clan, but he was also trained by Firestar to fight from a very young age. He also loves his clan, as he showed when he left ThunderClan in order to find Ashfoot.
When he left ThunderClan, his Clanmates gave him a great deal of praise. "Redtail has always been strong, but there's no mistaking what he's made of now," Tigerclaw told Crowfeather, who found him in a ThunderClan camp, near the river. "I think he'll be a good leader, and so will you. You'll find him strong in the ways of the warrior code, but more open to new ideas. He's not like any other ThunderClan cat. Even though you're a deputy, I still think you should keep a warrior's eye on him."
Redtail was happy to have found Ashfoot, but he was sad to leave ThunderClan. "It was good to be part of ThunderClan, to share hunting and fighting, to learn new ways and to be with my kin," he told Firestar. "And I know Ashfoot would've been proud to know that I found you and was chosen as your deputy."
The two cats spent two moons hunting together, and Redtail showed all his skill and experience in the forest. He always found a place for a small kill, and helped Ashfoot to bring fresh-kill into ThunderClan's territory. When they finally returned to ThunderClan, they were told that Ashfoot had been found at the edge of the forest, dead and cold. Redtail had loved Ashfoot very much, and Tigerclaw admitted that he knew Redtail would miss the old ThunderClan leader.
Redtail took his deputy duties seriously, but he was also worried about his Clanmates, who were going through very hard times. Firestar decided that the Clan was still strong enough to carry on without a leader. He appointed Redtail as deputy, and it was a great relief to many of the cats in ThunderClan.
As deputy, Redtail was often troubled by what was happening in the Clan. "I keep thinking about what happened to Ashfoot," he told StarClan. "The other Clans have been so busy fighting each other, they haven't thought about how hard it is to be in one Clan."
Redtail's deputy responsibilities were not easy. He was responsible for all the patrols, as well as being in charge of the warriors during battle and raids. He had to organize the warriors and make sure that they trained properly. He was also in charge of the supplies, which meant getting the Clan's fresh-kill and carrying it all the way back to the camp. "I have so much to learn," he told ShadowClan, "but it will be easier to learn it here, than if I tried to learn it at home."
One night, Redtail was out on patrol, following the border of ThunderClan's territory and listening for the signals from ThunderClan warriors. The patrol went beyond the border and was caught by a group of ShadowClan cats, led by Tigerclaw. ShadowClan had been hunting near the ThunderClan border, and they accused Redtail of trespassing on ShadowClan land. Redtail denied this, but Tigerclaw didn't believe him. "You don't have the skills of a warrior," he told him. "You should have stayed in ThunderClan. The Clan needs strong warriors."
Redtail was scared, because he was sure that if they gave Tigerclaw reason to attack, he would not be able to fight. "I'm not trying to hide that I'm not a great warrior," he replied. "But I'm still a cat who was born in ThunderClan. I can fight better with my Clanmates than with strangers. If I'm attacked, I'll be able to fight back."
Redtail didn't know if he was right, or whether Tigerclaw had guessed what Redtail would say. If he went with ShadowClan now, Tigerclaw would not let him come home.
But when Tigerclaw's patrol arrived at the border of ThunderClan's territory, the deputy's courage came to the fore. "Tigerclaw has trespassed on our territory," he declared. "This patrol will cross the border, and fight as ThunderClan warriors fight."
The patrol crossed the border, and the ShadowClan cats attacked. They were much larger than the ThunderClan cats, and at first Redtail could do nothing to stop them. In desperation, he leaped onto a boulder in the center of the clearing and began fighting them, using his teeth and claws. The ShadowClan cats could easily overwhelm the much smaller ThunderClan cats, but the Clan's deputy gave his all. His only hope was that help would arrive in time to save the Clan from annihilation.
When it became clear that the ThunderClan patrol was doomed, the ShadowClan cats turned and fled across the border. "Thank StarClan," Redtail breathed.
Redtail was very upset about what had happened. He felt as though his Clanmates had deserted him, and his only satisfaction was that he had been able to warn Firestar about the danger of the attack.
Tigerclaw had told Redtail that he wanted him dead, and so he was furious when Firestar let the deputy live. "You can't trust a cat who thinks he's too good for ThunderClan," he spat. "It shows just how much the Clan needs leaders like you, who stick up for what they believe is right."
The Clan was too badly mauled by the ShadowClan cats to recover quickly. While most of the injuries to the Clan were small, a few cats lost their lives, and Redtail was one of them. He did not come home to mourn his Clanmates, because by now he knew that none of them would survive another attack. The other cats would be too scared to fight, and Tigerclaw would certainly order them to retreat. He couldn't be part of such a failure, so he did his best to hide his grief from the other Clans. "My wounds will make me seem weak," he told Firestar when he returned home. "You need to tell them I have been struck by a thunderbolt, or they'll think I'm too weak to lead."
StarClan was kind to Redtail, but they could not cure the pain he felt in his heart. He missed his Clanmates, and he missed Ashfoot, who had been his mentor and friend.
It was a cold night, and Redtail's wounds were frozen and sore. He felt sick from the pain in his body, and he couldn't eat his usual share of prey. He told Firestar that he wanted to return to ThunderClan to be near Ashfoot, and he begged him to let him. "He was the cat I loved most, but it isn't my choice whether I stay in ThunderClan or go back home," Redtail told him. "But he would be glad to see me back, even if I'm not strong enough to lead."
As the warrior left for ThunderClan, Redtail turned back to Firestar and asked, "How can I lead if I can't stand up for the Clan?"
The next night was very stormy, and the lightning hit the ThunderClan territory and lit up the sky. Redtail took shelter by the ThunderClan border. He knew the Clan was preparing to leave the forest, and it scared him. How would he manage on his own? But he also felt his Clanmates and friend were waiting for him there. He felt calm, even as the winds lashed the trees, until the moment when he saw a pair of eyes reflecting in the storm, and he knew the Clan cats were waiting for him, too.
"Thank you for coming back to ThunderClan," Ashfoot said to him. "You are one of my chosen cats, and I have left you my ThunderClan name. If you ever want to become a warrior, then you must go back to your Clan, and ask your Clanmates to be your friends and allies."
Redtail said he would never leave ThunderClan, and that he was proud to be a ThunderClan warrior. But he still couldn't eat any prey, and he knew he would die soon if he didn't eat soon. "I'm sorry I'm too weak to lead," he told Ashfoot. "I'm sorry that I couldn't protect you from Tigerclaw's attack."

uuuh some stuff I would write in my aus if I had the energy
imma call these crumbs
1- the Big Cat Lineage
Leopardfoot's family comes from Lionstar, and there's a tradition that one of the kittens in said litter is named after one of their ancestors (Panther, Leopard, Tiger, Lion, Lynx...). It's an old tradition, and only brought back with Leopardfoot in recent times. Now, Tigerclaw is the mate of Goldenflower, and when one of their kittens is born with a dark gray speckled pelt, he thinks of his now old, sick mother. She's not always entirely there, but a couple days after the birth he brings little Lynxkit to her, telling her how he's continue the tradition, he'll make her a warrior, she'll be great. and then, Lynxpaw is hurt by his own trap for Bluestar, and he feels like dirt. That was his daughter, and his mother died just recently... He's lost what little legacy he could have truly had. When she chooses to become a medicine cat he feels even worse, because maybe now she'll know what truly hurt her- he grows paranoid, he grows distant to his again pregnant mate, he chooses not to look at his other children... and no one is surprised Tigerclaw is so aggressive towards Fireheart, her ex mentor. Also makes the scene with Silverstream's birthing where Lynxpaw (now Lynxpetal) tells her father to lick the kitten and calls him a useless lump of fur. Cuz only his daughter is allowed to insult him like that.
TLDR: Cinderpelt is Lynxkit, named after an old tradition in Tiger's family and therefore he loves her to bits, the fact that he's the reason she's disabled will cause more drama and make him go even madder.
