talking entirely character wise. do you think today was a bit of a wake up call for bad. do you think he heard red screaming out of their minds begging for toxic gas and thought about how they’ve lost their minds just a little bit. do you think that when he was given an immediate no when he asked where the red egg was to help them defend he understood how deep of a rift he created. do you think as he sat there silent while the rest of red cheered at killing the egg statue, he wondered if he could have pushed them a little too far. do you think that maybe, just maybe, with the red sun beating down on him in that desert, the gas mask team cheering and dancing, he felt for a single moment the consequences of his actions? that maybe, if he hadn’t started out so hostile with extreme tactics, if he hadn’t been so bloodthirsty and ruthless, if he had had just a little bit of hesitation, that his own attempts at diplomacy would have gone over better? that the rest of the teams would have listened? that red would have trusted his judgement on the egg statues, or at the very least respected him enough to honor an agreement? do you think he realizes that burning his bridges may have fucked him over?

After delving into tudor history again, since college....it always shocks me that people think that thomas wanted anne dead more than henry and that idk...henry wasn't the one who made thomas put the charges on anne.

i'm not excusing thomas and how he fucked anne over, and i know they had fall outs, but at the same time he couldn't put her on trial, or start any of that without henry wanting it. the way henry has shimmied his way out of being directly tied to anne's death, but rather thomas seems to be the scapegoat always surprises me.

he's decent at it, i'd say. won't burn anything (not on purpose at least), and will make something filling with whatever he finds in the fridge. or at least tries to. it has to do with his upbringing and home; he just doesn't care much what he eats as long as it's edible and doesn't taste too horrible for human consumption lol. this is true across most of his verses, because he's always moving from one place to another so he can't be picky about the choices presented to him. whenever he's with the resistance/alliance/normandy crew, it's rations or whatever they have at the mess. that is, if he remembers to eat in the first place.

but when he does get the chance to cook, he always keeps his space clean. there aren't really any specifics to his method, tbh. they're rather simple: he gathers his ingredients in one spot on the counter or whichever clean surface available, preps them, throws all the trash right away after he's done so there's not a lot to deal with later, then gets to cooking. sometimes he hums a tune or two or sings a snippet of a song under his breath. he's more comfortable doing everything alone though since that's how it's been for him for a long time.

and if anyone thinks they want him to impress them through cooking, they have sooo many other options to pick from. he'd only disappoint them lmao.
