WOW I FINALLY FINISHED THIS SET. There were a lot of things I wanted to get right for them so I took some extra time but hopefully it was worth it! The guild for this set is Cobalt Heart- a guild with focus on maritime missions, lead by (of course) guildmaster Neptune. There was no other planet I could've picked for his namesake lol. They're the guild I jokingly call the most jockish, but some moreso than others. I really do hope I did all the characters justice, but if you wanna know more about the individual members, it's under the cut as usual!

Where do you shop for your clothes? Are there any particular brands you look out for?

OH SO- this is kinda gonna be a frustrating answer.

i shop almost exclusively at this re-sale/second chance/excess store that puts together the unsold clothing from places like free-people and anthropology and the indy brands that they carry. It's INCREDIBLY local to my stretch of the woods- it's called retail 101 in naugatuck connecticut. i got a 350$ dress new with tags for 30$ and that was the most expensive clothing item listed in the store. it's definitely worthwhile to make the drive. it's about an hour for me, at least two if you're in nyc.

shopping there helps me feel better about getting clothes- because they're generally a lot bit better quality than like h and m or primark (which is what i can reasonably afford). it's also not directly supporting like- all those big businesses and keeps unsold clothes out of the landfill ect. It's helped me get some very very nice clothing for very cheap. it's a very overstimulating experience because it's basically just a football field sized warehouse filled with clothing.

i greatly recommend it if you're overly small or overly large because their greatest selection is in the Xs and Xl range like- I think i saw a size 14 jeans that were originally 400$ on sale for 14$ so- if you're more middle sized it definitely requires some hunting.

but tbh i also hit up the target clearance section for most of my jeans because they have really reasonable sales. i got my favorite pair of ripped jeans there for 6.50$. Target just for some reason happens to fit me pretty reliably- which is honestly rare because i have a 28 inch waist but a 40 inch booty.

Of course, she'd notice he'd be acting off. Anzu had been Yugi's oldest friend. She had been with him since the beginning, seeing him throughout this journey he's had with the Millennium Puzzle and the spirit within it. If there was anyone he could talk to about how he was feeling, it be her.

Yugi takes a deep breath, preparing himself to speak. He wanted to make sure not only what he wanted to say, but also that the other spirit inside of his body wasn't going to listen in on this. Usually, his parnter was rather quiet during school unless something came up, and from what he can sense, it appeared his soul was currently drawn back into the puzzle for the time being, the very puzzle Yugi's hands were now clasping as he looked at Anzu.

"I'm just...worried about the Spirit of the Puzzle." His voice is soft, laced with concern and worry. "He...He said he didn't care if he got his memories back or not to me the other day. While I...I don't want him to leave, I...I can't help but worry that he'll stop wanting to try and find out his past...for my sake."

The spirit sharing his body was selfless and protective. Yugi knows that much from his actions. While he certainly never wants the other to leave, for he's become like family to Yugi, he can't help but feel selfish even saying things like 'I want you to stay with me forever' to his face when deep down he can just sense that shouldn't be the case.

"He...He doesn't even know his own name, Anzu! His name! He doesn't know anything at all about himself! He should know who he is and where he came from, but...he knows how much I care about him and like having him around. I just..." He looks down at the puzzle again before moving it close to his chest as if to hug it. "I just don't want to hold him back...back from figuring that out."

Honestly the funniest thing about Haruka's idol story line in y5 (and dont any of you come at me with the You're Lessening Mirei's Evil Heinous Actions shit, I know she was the antagonist, blah blah) is the fact that as far as traineeships go Haruka's.... wasn't all that unusual- Living on your own away from your parents? Par the course. Having older figures be unduly harsh about your talent/looks? Also par the course. Insane schedules? Creepy fans? Yep. In fact Haruka is older than a lot of people are when they start traineeships nowadays... Like that aspect of the game could have been played up for even more dramatic value than it was.

had a Discussion yesterday and i said how i didn't like that i, someone who naturally wakes up early and has to go to bed around 11-midnight to get decent sleep, have been spending the last few months either sleep deprived or forced to use sleeping pills to sleep, when he sleeps in til fucking noon, even on the two days we both have off and can, yk, spend time doing things in the morning together, and then he complains that we never do anything outside (bc we live in florida. anything after noon is just a fucking sauna.)

anyways. i ask if he can start waking up earlier. he says he'll wake up at 10 today. i go, ok, thank you, but what does that prove? that you can do it once? i've been changing my schedule for months. i want to hear that you'll try to do it consistently. (And 10 isn't early anyways, but i didn't say that). he insists he's going to do it. makes sure i see him set an alarm in front of me and everything. so anyways. 10:01 i get a text that he's going to sleep a little more.

#in addition to like. more regular dreams where someone kidnapped part of our camping/hiking group and I needed to use my knowledge of #dog/wolf behavior to appease a wolf that we needed to pass by to get between two forest clearings and also since my character was a #clean-freak / germaphobe he had the power to have bugs not bother him in the woods and then that all happened twice because ofc we needed to #keep to the story script when it restarted and I had to keep everything on the rails but this time two other wolves also came up and they #all decided I was chill and we left each other alone even while I was de-escalating the kidnapping situation but then the kidnappers started #running away and I was like 'you know what would make them think again? three wolves chasing them' so I got the wolves' attention and #started running and they thought it was some kind of chase game and eventually after a couple times of them catching up with me and thinking #that was it they realized someone ahead of us was also running so THEY were the target and we finally started chasing down the kidnappers #and by this point I was considered part of the pack and also we were in a school gymnasium but right after some sort of fair or assembly so #we had to dodge chairs and tables and stacks of equipment and occasionally children but they mostly kept out of the way #oh and I think after the reset but before the kidnapping there was also a part where one of the other characters (I feel like one of my #siblings was playing this one) insisted that our top priority should be finding clothes and I was like 'wait are you NAKED?' and they were #like 'yeah we all are???' and I was like 'WHAT no I'm fully dressed. my character is wearing a suit and tie! and a hat even!' yeah yeah and #then the kidnappers/bullies came up and one of them was a blond lady with a bolo tie. #btw the reason I'm saying stuff like 'my character'/'was playing a character' is because in this dream it was explicitly characters we were #playing in some sort of game where the focus wasn't roleplay but it had a roleplay-y aspect where the different characters had different #strengths and abilities; such as Betrayal at House on the Hill or Western Legends or Dead of Winter #anyway. IDK why dream-me thought thailand was one of the most religiously diverse places on earth. in real life it's over 90% buddhist. #ThornShadow.said

dgmw tgcf is a fun time and the romance has crazy chemistry but the moral inconsistency (?) of the gambler's den scene will never not bother me. like these people are betting their lives or the lives of other people in really fucked up scenarios and it's all kind of chalked up to 'well it's their choice' or 'the people they hurt can seek revenge' like??? it's nice that hc is nice to kids and gives abused ghosts shelter I guess but this is just glossed over and it would make such a strong relationship and story if they actually dealt with it and xl actually. well I don't want to say 'had a spine' but if he challenged hc in any way besides 'noooo don't devalue yourself you're not ugly 🥺' like there's more substantial things at stake here than hc's self-esteem issues lol it just comes off as so strange and juvenile especially after mdzs. actually no I don't think there was a much stronger moral theme in mdzs it really was mostly romance again I'm just being distracted by the drama. anyway tgcf has really interesting subplots about justice like the black water arc obvi and ling wen's revenge but hc does do bad things actually and it's annoying that it was glossed over. i genuinely do not see how bucktaylor was a "dysfunctional destructive relationship" :0 i know many people love to say it, even throwing the word "toxic" and "abusive" into the room because they're the new overused trend words but damn... are y'all fr or is that mostly just the buddie shippers blindly hating on the ship and taylor? i have not seen any good receipts for these accusations either, they are just mentioned as if it's a fact and everybody must accept that interpretation. i feel like i've watched a completely different show sdkjslks somebody pls tell me exactly when and where they were supposedly acting so badly that this is considered canon

it's been a while since I've seen the episodes when they've been together so take ALL of this for a grain because I don't know how well I'm remembering but:

there was very much an imbalance for supporting each other and generally Being There For Each Other tbh. like of course they cared about each other but an instance I remember specifically is when buck is having a rough time because of deep-seated traumas from his childhood and taylor says something like "you're so needy" and vice versa when buck wouldn't support taylor's career despite knowing how important it was to her. idk idk those are the only examples I remember outright but I definitely remember being fascinated by how dysfunctional they were my first time watching the show so idk.

I definitely wouldn't say it was abusive or toxic because I think those are fairly strong words that are often taken out of context. I think it was just a classic example of their personalities and morals not really lining up and thus causing conflict that kinda enforces each other's worst traits. idk
