real talk tho, i am immensely grateful to the poles for managing to bag good sir Keanu Reeves for Johnny's role.

besides the fact that he is a wonderful human creature and a bombastic actor, i just love LOVE his eyes on Johnny. because Keanu has the saddest and kindest eyes of any human out there, which is not surprising giving how much shit life threw at him and despite of it all he prevailed as an epitome of humility, kindness and just plain awesome (have you seen the interview where he just gushes out about bikes and his Arch business like an exited boy would about his collection of stamps? it's amazing and it has healing antidepressant powers, highly recommend). but our lord and savior the creator of CP77 Mike Pondsmith kinda made Johnny a giant dumbass asshole, right? but the the poles gave him a whiplash of a character arc (i weep whenever i remember the oilfields... oh the oilfields!!). so Keanu's beautiful eyes that saw plenty of life's tragedies yet are soulful and full of kindness and care just look so good on Johnny's tired-from-everything face. he may sass V all he wants, call them names, bitch, and whine, and talk shit, and make faces, but his eyes are always a spark of warmth against the backdrop of a dark uncaring city. it's fucken impossible to look Johnny in the eye and not feel some sorta way! and when the plot demands of Johnny to be vulnerable for a hot second and Keanu just does his VA magic and you look at that dirty old man it's like... your heart hurts, you know? you wanna give this sod at least a crumb of happiness - a kind word, a touch, something! or in other words: how good it is to live in a world where such a character is played by such an actor! i wholeheartedly believe had they chose some other guy i wouldn't adore Johnny nearly as much as i do right now. don't get me wrong, a Deadpool-esque Johnny played by Ryan Reynolds would be cathartic, and i'm sure that Johnny played by Johnny Depp would be beyond amazing but... i just utterly love Keanu's sad beautiful eyes on that "selfish" "terrorist's" face 😔💔

Hello frev people , I have arrived at 5 a.m. (no, I have not slept) with more good ending Saint Just for you. (Yes, I purposefully wrote that to sound like a multi-outcome video game ending.)

Imagine if Robespierre comes over to visit every once in a while. After a while, maybe he starts showing up with a cane. His eyesight is getting poorer, a few creases and wrinkles show up in his face and seem to grow deeper or multiply each visit and Saint Just is always surprised to find this each time.

Robespierre would be pleased to find out that, after moving to the country, Saint-Just had gotten a herding dog. Every time they sit down to chat and have a drink or two, the dog is always by it’s master’s side either sitting obediently or laying down, silently.

I think, regardless of where life would have thrown them after the revolution, no matter how far out into the country Saint-Just would have gone, they would have still made an effort to see each other and communicate, to remain friends. And I have no doubt the same could be said for Philippe Le Bas, too.

I kind of miss the Farrah, Saul and Harvey trio. They did Andreas dirty though.

my only complaint about Andreas was they shouldn't have killed him off in episode 4. He was such a rich minor villain turned rogue whose presence added depth to Saul, Sky, Beatrix, Riven & Dane, hell even Bloom's storylines.

"it's not personal, Sky" and “this sword [you], an unbalanced piece of shit, it's not mine"

vs.

"she's like a daughter to me" and committing fairy murder to trade Beatrix's life for Marco's

vs.

“you look like actual dogshit, Saul” UNTIL IT BECOMES "Do what you have to do, Sky, please" [kill me to save your real father Saul]

like fuck, Andreas was EXACTLY as messy as I wanted him to be

tbh mokuba probably got so little positive reinforcement from anywhere ("great. you aced the test, as expected from a kaiba" = not positive reinforcement) that finally isono prints out one of his work emails and gives it back to him with a gold star sticker and "10/10 :)" written in the corner and he's inconsolable

This illustration records what was probably the first zebra seen in China ; it was brought back from Admiral Zheng He's voyage to East Africa (one of the "Ming Treasure Voyages") and presented to the Ming emperor, along with a giraffe and an oryx (also probably the first of each seen in China).
