Au where Hollow and Ghost survive and then SILKSONG happens but- hear me out, hear me out-

Hornet was so, so young when the infection destroyed Hallownest. All her abilities in silk are derived from violence and hunting— unlike her weaver brethren, she never delved deep into the arts or healing beyond the basics to survive the destroyed husk of the kingdom.

This has direct consequences when Hollow survives in HK. Despite Hornet’s best attempts, Hollow’s wounds don’t heal quite right.

Hornet can’t forgive herself, never mind the insane reality she managed to save a voided godling from the brink.

(When Pharloom steals her, when she realizes there’s a history of thread, where she can learn how to spin silk maybe to heal-

-at the terrible cost of herself to save people she loves?

Hornet’s never been great about self preservation. All her life, she’s watched other people throw themselves into the abyss.

Now it’s her turn.)

Alas. Her siblings do not agree with that mindset. And they’re going to get their sister back, hell or high water.

Me and @alaskaartz have made a silly little HK AU called: PK Charm.

The premise is essentially that PK becomes an equipable charm.

His skills include:

- randomly gives Ghost soul

- lore dumps and makes comments about everything

- being an overly worried dad but can't do anything because he is just an apparition

Decided to draw little ghost with clockwork wings, because I like drawing wings. Also with Tiso (unsurprisingly lmao)

Hollow Knight time travel fix-it but it's THK's shade going back to haunt and chip away at its past-self's masquerade because it thinks the future can be "fixed" by outing its own traitorous impurities and so it lurks around the palace and tries to self-sabotage its former self and reveal its flaws

what if pale king didn’t actually die, what if he was in some kind of hibernation state (until someone rudely woke him up)?

i imagine interrupting this process can cause some unpleasant side effects. maybe he lost some memories? maybe he has no idea what is happening and how much time has passed? who knows

was inspired by the fact that he disappears after you enter the throne room again, which yeah is probably just the game unloading unnecessary assets, but it’s not like that’s gonna stop me

Tryna be a little less precious with my sketches. I can never get any ideas out the door because I can never polish them enough :')

Big on the idea that everyone is fine and the siblings just get to be okay and grow together. I'm huge on that actually. Some lil related headcanons under the cut~!

Ghost does indeed tire of the nail sometime around the (effective)age of 12, and in fact DOES join Sheo in art.

Hollow also does this, immediately after physically recovering enough from the sealing/infection deal to do so.

Both of them struggle with feelings of inadequacy with their work. They often paint together and help build each other up.

Hollow(Hero? I've been calling them that) is the type to shut themselves in a room for a few hours every month and walk out with bangers. Every single time. Would be a fantastic animator if the medium existed in Hallownest. Maybe it will someday!

Hornet's not good at drawing but is great at literally everything else. Sewing, crocheting, felting, sculpting, music, doesn't matter. She is unstoppable. Or she would be, if she ever finished anything.

They like to do trades a lot. "I'll paint you that book character you like for a plushie of this character I made." "Do you want a portrait? I'll make you one for a cool figure." It's mostly the vessels shoving art at Hornet until plushies come out.

AU QUESTION, PRETEND THIS IS A AU QUESTION, I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO ASK BUT WANT TO KNOW MORE, PRETEND THIS IS A ACTUAL WELL MADE QUESTION ABOUT THE AUUUUUUUUUUU‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️⁉️‼️

The white palace isn't all white, it's white, gray, and black. The Palace lobby (?) the ceiling is black with a mural on it, the back wall is black too, most of the palace is gray or black honestly, then the occasional white. The throne room is mostly white, though it's used almost never.

Also everything in the palace always looks shiny cuz it's probably been cleaned in the past hour or two, the palace needs to constantly be cleaned because PK has a VERY weak immune system

on that note, PK never leaves his family's personal wing of the palace without wearing a face mask and two pairs of disposable gloves

It’s a What If The Siblings Survive And Go On a Roadtrip, but now with the additional “oh god oh fuck” when the radiance haunts hollow’s every step. Ghost sees it happening is and not happy with the situation. But with the dreamnail being shattered during the desperate fight to ascension, they can’t do much…. Yet.
