honestly what's disappointing to me about cy2 is simply the fact that it's another new book that i know won't immediately hook me or keep me excited for every new update like psi or hell or high water did when they came out, especially because it's been this way for several updates now. like there was a time where we could always count on new books being interesting and exciting but now it's just like oh... another one...

3rd house placements and their ability to remember the smallest things, such as dates, numbers, names, etc. Is insane. They're the kind of people where others would try to convince them that they're not smart academically because of their attention issues (3rd house=gemini energy), but they're actually super intelligent. Capricorn mercury and scorpio mercury. These two placements have chemistry like no other. Both of my parents have these placements, I will say that this is definitely a power couple duo. I think the only thing that can cause conflict is capricorn's need to have their own laws enforced (anything from their own religious views to having no shoes on in the house.) And scorpio's desire to find something deeper, something that crosses the boundry of law.

hey love! i think this post of mine will help you! remember, your thoughts don't manifest, so even if you have negative thoughts about your 3d, that doesn't matter! it's all about your state. your negative thoughts just act as a little sign that you slipped out of your desired state. these thoughts aren't going to do anything, but if they're negative and are effecting the way you feel (as your subconscious responds to feeling), all you need to do is shift back to the state of the wish fulfilled.

but you can also deal with your 3d and think about it without necessarily shifting back to the state of lack! for instance, say you're manifesting clear skin. but you wake up and see pimples on your face. there's a difference in seeing that and being like "fuck my skin is so bad it's never going to get better" and letting it get you down for the rest of the day, and being like "damn my skin doesn't look too hot today but that's okay i'll just wash my face and do my skincare knowing that i have clear skin in my 4D and my 3D means nothing"

you're allowed to think the first way tho if you can't help it at first, just recognize that that means you slipped out of the state and you need to shift back! you can slip out of the state 100 times a day and still get your desire, as long as you shifted back to the state 101 times! slipping out of the desired state is not a failing on your part, it's natural! just shift back to the state of the wish fulfilled when you can :)

so, here's the DL on your VCH questions:

pain level: extremely minimal! the thing that hurt the worst was being clamped (which was a bad sign - i've learned since then that people who know their shit piercing VCH will use a receiving tube, not clamps, so ask your piercer about their process during a consultation appointment and then make your decision!) i have my nostril, 2 cartilage, 6 lobe, and a vertical labret piercing on my lip. of those piercings, the vch and lip hurt the least. there's no cartilage to go thru, and even though we think of the clit as a very sensitive area, the hood of it, when it's isolated, isn't super sensitive for most. your anatomy and your pain tolerance will differ, but as a piercing veteran, the vch was the least painful!

problems with it: unfortunately, my vch rejected about two months after it'd healed (y'all can fact check me on this, i'm guesstimating). i *don't* think it was necessarily inherent to the VCH; rejection can happen to anyone for various reasons, but (afaik) is more of a risk when a piercing is more surface-based, like an eyebrow piercing. what i think happened: i think my piercer placed it too low on my clit hood; the top ball should have been higher up. this, combined with a poor jewelry fit and, uh, the fact that that area gets a lot of friction...probably contributed to the rejection. i took it out once i noticed because i didn't want to tear. as i mentioned above, my piercer used a technique that is *not* considered best practice by genital piercing professionals. (she's an excellent piercer otherwise, i love her, but now i know genitals are not her strong suit.)

another problem: due to the friction (not necessarily me rubbing it, more so clothing, my spouse's pelvic bone, etc), the ball was constantly coming loose, prompting a frantic hunt in the bedsheets/my laundry basket for the missing piece...pain in the fucking ass, but i think it also depends on your anatomy!

something that *wasn't* a problem that i expected to be: i don't think it ever once got caught on anything. once or twice, i had a pube get sort of wound around it, but since i was touching it...all the time...soooo much >.> i usually noticed pretty quick lmaoooo

i would recommend this piercing (done well, taken good care of) to a friend wanting a little bling downstairs and a little extra stimulation!

mine cost $100. but it's common to cost more than that from genital-specialty piercers, and for good reasons; i think my piercer priced it reasonably (small town economy + again, she didn't do a *great* job) but expect to pay more. that said, never equate cost with quality: ask your piercer...

it took ~2 weeks before i'd say it was fully healed. most piercers caution you to wait 4-6 weeks for full healing; my body (and what i consider "healed"), as well as my new piercing aftercare routine, are specific to me. but for most people, it's <6 weeks. the rejection didn't happen until after healing. as far as healing the piercing *hole*, after taking it out, i don't notice any difference; there's maybe a pock mark sort of thing, or dimple? but it's not a "hole" anymore. just a mark, and there's not any scarring or tissue that irritates my clitoris, given i took it out so fast!

pros!

how do i say this,, u know how. a new piercing might sort of get crusty. esp if you don't clean it often (follow ur aftercare instructions! always!!!!!) but uh. my regular aftercare did not prepare me for the crust being *under* the clit hood. it wasn't much, and it came off when i downsized jewelry, but eugh. it should be minimal, anyway, but still, don't be surprised.

the swelling was mainly the thing, in the hours after i got it pierced, but it didn't hurt worse than, say, biting the inside of your cheek really hard when you're chomping down on food - just that sort of ache you get. honestly i've had worse clit pain in the aftermath of being clamped, tho.

And imo, if all this happened in 2020/2021 the fanbase would be more than enough to sold everything out and keep the album on top of the charts for longer. I think that maybe they saw the fanbase growth, saw the numbers the livestream pulled and then just took it for granted and thought it's always going to be like that and that fans are going to stay through everything. Unfortunately tho I feel like lthq and tbh Louis too don't really know this fanbase, its dynamic, how it operates and why people wanted to follow and support Louis in the first place so it's hard for them to work out a strategy. I mean, you won't tell me that someone business savvy would recommend pushing with the Freddie stuff that turned off A FIFTH of his 2020 fanbase off if we go off of his twitter engagement. He says that we need him and he needs us and I don't know if it's true in its entirety anymore... I mean he does need us but do we need him? What content is his putting out there for us to enjoy. 3. Bare minimum won't fly forever. You base your image on your connection with fans and they always show up for you, but when was the last time you showed up for them, when you went the extra mile for the fan experience? If you want the way you treat your fans to be your main thing, then I'm sorry but you could learn a lot from people like Lewis Capaldi when it comes to nurturing and connecting with the fans.

I was a star palace fan for awhile, ever sense I had graduated high school last i checked, I think it was near graduation when i heard zavys first voice over when it comes to singing, so when i heard about a star palace video game, no typos or anything, you bet i was bouncing off the walls when I did hear about it, you better believe I would've pulled a pinkie pie and bounce off the walls if I could, and downloaded it the moment it was out, on my ipad tho cuz my phone never had enough space, I'll get to that later tho...

When it finished downloading, I played it instantly, and began playing, it reminded me of a game from mlp where with the characters they have gift preferences, compliment preferences, and description box's, and so forth, I didn't mind tho, it was simple for my end on how to work with, and hense its more fun for me, as I continued playing, and that lasted for awhile, zavy was the most I payed attention to, obviously being the main and favorite from the series and fandom itself, it doesn't take much to make him your friend, only the "best friend" part was more of a second bar for him, for whatever reason, unlike with other characters you oftenly meet, his had a "partner" added to his bar, I didnt necessarily minded that, given he was built by a company that specializes in making companion bots, so I thought it was normal when like that, and when I got him at "partner", hearts will come out from his image and flutter out of camera's sight whenever you either tap on him or give him one of his preferred gifts, that was normal until I got a verbal fight with my dad, I don't handle stress alot so when I got to my room I began crying, so after a little mental break down I played star palace to try and calm down, I met the other characters and all of them acted normal, and by then I stopped crying, just really tired, but when I got to zavy, his image was slightly different, it was his upset or sad face witch only happens when you give him a rotten gift, but his image wasn't the speech bubble with it, hense making him say.", you look exhausted dear, what happened?", this confused me, normally the characters can't tell what you look like or what your expression is, it also gave me the option to actually type my response, again, it's something you cant be able to do, and I can't click out neither to try and ignore that, cuz I'm honestly not good at expressing my actual emotions, so sense I can't click out I just typed in "I'm fine zavy, really, just a lil tired", and than suddenly I passed out, i tried fighting it and saw the text box while zavy deemed to smile yet still looked concerned, the text box saying "oh?, well ok then, maybe try taking a nap then?, here I'll help you dear!", and than next thing i knew, I was passed out, waking up slowly when it was near night time, I wondered on how I could've slept for so long when I passed out somewhere near the morning, I sat up and rubbed my head and decided to check my phone to check what time it is, before finding millions of downloads with the symbol when you download an image, I panicked and checked my storage, the thing I mentioned earlier, only for it to look normal, i got confused and checked my gallary, only for the files on zavys folders to have the infinity sign, I checked it and it was images like the ones I'm gonna show you now, I know these images, frazzybear, a fan of zavy, drew some of these, and if it wasn't her, it was moon bunnies or gknight them self, but their distorted to a semi creepy level, my phone rings like crazy, but it wasn't the usual ring tone galaxy Samsung would have, aka my phone type, it was...., zavys version of "meant to be yours", a public song on YouTube, this ahook me violently before i answered it, and it only said.

"I'm at the door my love..., let...., me...., in...."

(This is just a lil creepy pasta of star palace, I think this would be fun, you can say how bad it was, say that it most likely is the worst or such, but I won't really care, cuz I actually had fun writing this and appreciate those who like it, but really, the original importance of writing is how fun it is, that along with actual criticism without roasting or hate, is how we grow as writers and hense not only make better creepypasta's, but also make better stories all together, the edited images are by frazzybear, gknight and moon bunnies, I heavily suggest checking them out, their content is awesome and the characters are just as adorable.)

OH MY GOSH! The happy dance-squealing sound combo I made when I saw this ask was absolutely insane. Buckle up because I am very excited, very caffeinated and going to write you a small novel in response!

I had way too much fun writing the whole piss segment, I too get extremely pee shy when there are people around and can hear it so I obviously had to inflict that on poor Fictional!Matty as well. In interviews from that era, Matty was also extremely passionate about Frozen, and Let It Go just seemed way too fitting 😂

Matty in 2014/2015 was tiny, at the time I don't think I even realized how tiny he was. But especially looking at pictures and videos of him now compared to then? Whoa. The man looked like a strong breeze would knock him over. Taylor during that time period, and Fictional!Taylor in my fic (who is a more dramatized version) was struggling with disordered eating and body images issues. Therefore, in my fic, she's hyper aware of those around her, and Fictional!Matty is skinny, boney, and as far as fictional!Taylor knows, basically living off of cigarettes, red wine, and Starbucks brownies, so obviously she is captivated by it. She had no idea that he's spiraling deeper and deeper into addiction. I think I had said it before, (and if I haven't I've at least told the Bestie) this isn't going to be a story where they make each other better. It's going to be one where they make each other worse.

IRL Matty during that era was a very outspoken Taylor Swift fan (before the whole putting his foot in his mouth thing about it being emasculating to date her) so my Fictional!Matty is obviously protective. He's still very much an up and coming artist at this point, and she's Taylor Fucking Swift in her 1989 era! He also has a little bit of a hero complex, we haven't seen it as much yet, since this fic is primarily from Taylor's perspective, but Fictional!Matty is an absolute disastrous mess and he is salivating at the chance to be the one to have it together, instead of having to constantly have someone else clean up his mess making him protective... And in terms of Fictional!Karlie, I hate to say it, but she is a model, and even if Heroin Chic wasn't necessarily all the rage in 2014 - it was still prevalent and influential enough that unlike my Fictional!Taylor, she knows what she's looking for and can clearly see the signs in Matty.

Taylor and George will be meeting in an upcoming chapter! It might not go the way that you're thinking or hoping though 👀

aaaaaa thanx for actually taking me up on that ! most of what ik abt british hockey pertains to the cardiff devils & national team so i can't rlly share much abt the other teams.

i could. talk for days abt the national team's performance at the div 1a world championship this year (in nottingham !) where we got promoted back to the top tier. with the exception of the game against poland we p much steamrolled the other teams (bownsy got 3 shutouts which i feel says enough). the start of the final game against italy was nasty tho (and defo reminded me why i can't stand mike keenan, who apparently is their head coach ??) but we won and the crowd went mental ofc cuz it all happened on home ice. i wasn't there because i didn't need to spend a whole week right before my exams getting drunk and watching hockey (i'm still kinda mad at my decision tho even it was the smarter one). but i did cry at home when that game ended i will admit that. prague better watch out next year because there's gonna be even more drunk british people than usual lmao

i've spent months trying to fill myself in on cardiff devils history because apparently i need to know Everything abt the teams i like and. i do think it is a very silly coincidence that they also had a guy called steve from british columbia who wore 19 and was the team captain in the 90s. i will however complain abt the vending machine in vindico arena (where they play their home games. hate the name change tho) because they r so fucking confusing my mum had to help like 3 ppl pay for their snacks last time we were there i hope they've got new ones or i will be sneaking my own food in next time i manage to go to a game. can't moan abt the atmosphere there tho it is so fucking loud omg. oh and ben bowns ? the guy i mentioned before ? yeah he's our goalie. and he's not actually bad (had a few bad days last season but you can't rlly fault him for that that much ya know)

oh and apparently if you like hockey here you are (at most) five degrees of separation from one of the teams here. i have two different connections to my mum's hometown team (the link centre is by far the nicest building in swindon i literally dk how they manage to get ppl to sign there unless they live outside of that town. not necessarily because it's a bit of a dump but because the crime rate is so high). it rlly is a close-knit community here

(oh and i think they show eihl games on onhockey.tv if anyone ever wants to watch british hockey next season)

I am truly hoping Zeno was just joking but I truly don't have much hope for Dadrius anymore tbh. It will always be canon in my heart tho

I get what you mean but honestly I'm not sure it's worth worrying about yet for a few reasons

1. Zeno likes to troll (affectionate) the fandom a bit. He's done this before when asked "Who would Hunter go to Grom with" & he responded with multiple answers which included two of Hunter's most popular ships, he said his favorite bit of VAing was in "Thanks To Them" and prefaced it with saying his other favorite bits were "Hollow Mind" and "Eclipse Lake" and suggested we all brace ourselves for the scene (it ended up being the Luz calling Hunter family scene which was excellent & cathartic btw), etc. So while I said "I think we lost :(" I was partially joking bc I know Zeno likes to do this, but I was also a bit disappointed even if I know I really shouldn't be bc Camila is a top tier parent. I'm not actually committed that Noceda won, but I also can acknowledge that maybe it did/will & honestly it wouldn't be bad even if it wasn't what I staked my interest in yknow

2. Zeno already changed it again to "Heart of Flapjack", so I think since the special came out he's just having fun with what was revealed & is changing his name around accordingly

3. Zeno wouldn't actually spoil the series ending, none of the cast/crew would. They've been very careful about it in all the Post-Hoots, con questions, etc. If Hunter does explicitly become "Hunter Noceda" I'd say that's a sizeable spoiler for his arc given there was no specific sign of that happening in this special & the debate about who will adopt Hunter/what his last name will be is fairly common in the fandom. There are at least 4 different last names he gets tagged with, and while Camila has done so much for these kids, she & Hunter didn't have any singularly significant scenes together (in no way am I undermining Camila or how clearly important she is to Hunter tho) (& yes she did dive into the water for him but he wasn't conscious for that & she would've done it for any of the kids, so I'm talking more like. Her scene tucking Luz into bed kinda singularly significant, but obviously those kinda scenes would be focused on Luz)

4. Camila hasn't even officially adopted Vee or called her her daughter or even said "I love you", which I was definitely expecting when they parted during the ending & truthfully I was a bit disappointed by it not happening. I'm not saying Camila can't adopt multiple kids but given everything between Camila & Vee I'd say that's the more important dynamic, and it hasn't happened yet, if it will at all. That doesn't necessarily mean Hunter Noceda can't happen first but it'd be a weird decision

5. Like I said above Zeno expressed his favorite bit of VAing was the Luz Hunter family scene, so Zeno writing "Hunter Noceda" feels like a homage to that scene which was a milestone in his career (so completely independent of fandom discussion, which makes sense & he's entitled to). Zeno likes to troll a bit but he's also an actor building his career & has completely different experiences being in the show than we the fandom have watching it, so maybe he's making a statement of his preference, maybe he's spoiling, or more likely he's referencing his time with the show.

6. Because it was Zeno's favorite scene and given who was in it, it feels explicitly about Luz & Hunter being family -- not Camila at that moment, JUST Luz & Hunter. Luz doesn't go by Clawthorne but she's still undeniably a part of Eda & King's family, so Hunter "being a Noceda" doesn't automatically mean "Camila is his mom now", if any of that makes sense. Something something found family isn't so nuclear something

7. Even if we don't get Dadrius they've explicitly used precious minutes of screentime after the show got cut to build a dynamic between them where they both clearly have started to care a lot about the other, so he'll probably still have "mentor" or "gay uncle" status by the end if not "dad" -- not the same or what I wanted but I'll still take it. I've said it before but if the goal was to make Darius likeable all they had to do was reveal he was a rebel (which was gonna be revealed anyway), they didn't need to give Hunter another new dynamic when he already had so many and they didn't need to make Darius of all adults the first one to give a shit about Hunter esp considering he never did before.

8. Hunter can have multiple parents with different last names like Luz does, as a treat

TL;DR I don't think it's a declaration that Hunter Noceda is unarguably canon even if a lot of the fandom will & already have taken it as word of god. It might end up being so, but I think at this time Zeno is more expressing passion for a pivotal moment in his acting career & is just having fun.

well jungkook will have to deal with people calling him homophobic for being apart of the qatar stuff, so there's that. there will be a lot of disappointment talked about with just as many armys and jjks defending him from his decision to saying yes to doing it. i don't think he's being forced lol.

- don't get me wrong i love the members but sometimes i can't believe how ignorant they're for the sake of their own success. the world cup in qatar is extremely questionable. not only because of the thousands of people who died while building the stadiums due to the work conditions, no, also because of what qatar actually stands for. just a couple of days ago the world cup ambassador of qatar called homosexuality a mental damage. gay people in qatar get arrested, even gay foreigners can get arrested, women can get arrested for being raped and so on. the organisation human rights watch even warned gay people to not go to qatar for the world cup. like how can you ignore all that? how can you be ok with all that? now jungkook will perform at the opening ceremony of that world cup and it's a great opportunity for him, sure. but doesn't he feel bad about that in the slightest? i don't get it and i'm honestly disappointed in the company and the members.

No, I don't think he's being forced but I don't believe he has a choice either. I just really think he can't say no to hybe when it's things like this. There's just so much money involved, so many connections and deals and allyship getting sealed behind the scenes everytime an event like this takes place. Take Samsung for example, BTS doesn't sit at the table when those deals are being discussed. They sit at the table later only to be told they've been signed for a deal with Samsung. I know him performing in Qatar is the same. So, on one hand there's the fact that he can't really say no. On the other hand tho, I don't think he wanted to say no anyways lol. I'm sure he wanted to do thi and he seems so excited to be there and it makes sense, it is a huge opportunity.

Rod Stewart, Dua Lipa and apparently now Shakira have said no and they don't want to perform there as a form of protest. Well, they have the permission to say no; they aren't bound in the ways BTS or maybe only Jungkook is bound. I do wonder when was all of this decided and if the plan all along was to take BTS as a group and that fell through but hybe had to comply with their part of the deal so they're sending Jungkook? Or if the deal was to send Jungkook only from the beginning. I talked a bit about how there's been a sort of a soft launch of Jungkook's career even before the break started.

Hoseok in lolla obviously makes sense because he had his album, the same for Jin in Argentina and Yoongi with Psy. Taehyung hasn't really been doing anything music related. JK doesn't have an album, we don't know if the song he's going to perform is even his song, or maybe it could be a BTS song. Hell, maybe run BTS is being highlighted because he'll perform that. If they already knew that JK was performing there when those articles were written, then well it makes a lot of sense that they were written. I also mentioned the other day that I've always thought that if bighit could choose a face for BTS, it would be Jungkook. And probably Namjoon. After writing that post I thought of how Jungkook and Namjoon were the ones doing damage control after the festa dinner. Jungkook went live to say they weren't disbanding, and Namjoon wrote a letter to say more of the same. They allegedly have a collab coming up as well. Very fitting.

I don't think the other members refused... I think they weren't even asked. BTS are not a group right now, and I'm actually sure that there's no group contract in place right, nothing at all. I'm sure it's been terminated or paused until further notice. So no group contract, no monetized activities for the group. Only solo contracts for now. Hybe said we can't send the whole group because we don't decide their collective schedules, so we'll choose one of them to represent them. Filming run episodes, is the only thing they are doing as a group nowadays, and that doesn't really need a contract; they've worked together with hybe for 10 years, something just agreed on by word is okay, it can work. Same for Busan concert, they didn't need to sign a contract for two weeks just to do a show.

So I do wonder if it was meant to be the whole group or just Jungkook from the beginning, but I'm more inclined to say it was meant to be only JK all along.

Why did they accept? Because of the money and the prestige, obviously. No other way to put it. I know most armys think BTS are untouchable and whatnot and maybe they are, as a group. But solo Jungkook is nowhere near Shakira's level of relevance. Neither is solo Jimin or solo Taehyung or solo Jin. Their relevance is the name BTS. Harry Styles is just Harry Styles now but after 1D for a while he was "Harry from 1D" but eventually he outgrew it. Beyonce isn't mentioned everytime as Beyonce from Destiny's Child. She's just Beyonce now. BTS members are still Jungkook from BTS, RM from BTS. Even Hoseok was had his name on the lolla schedule as JHOPE (BTS).

Shakira or Rod Stewart don't need to perform in events like this one because there's nothing more they're legends pretty much, everyone knows who they are and there's barely nothing they could gain from this performance, but new solo acts can only dream of exposure like the one Jungkook will get. And he needs it.

Now, the timing. Because the artists that have said no didn't just refuse it yesterday or last week; they were offered the gig many months ago and they probably rejected it months ago, too. It's weird that no artist except JK has been confirmed. Is this the way it always goes? I geniunely didn't even know that world cup had an opening ceremony until JK was announced. I mean, did they get JK because everyone else declined? Seriously, why hasn't anyone else confirmed or will it be only JK but they don't want to say that yet?

As for the issues surrounding the event... it was doomed from the start. WC 2022 was actually supposed to happen in the USA, but bribery and corruption lead it to it being held in Qatar and it is said that as retaliation, the USA exposed FIFA and so FIFAgate happened in 2015. Qatar was decided as host like a decade ago, and the next hosts are alredy decided as well.

For people who say it's only Jungkook being held accountable for saying yes to this, no he's not the only one. We just don't keep up like that with other celebrities, but most of those who actively participate in promoting the event one way or another, are being questioned.

I don't know anything about Nicki and tbh I don't even care knowing, I just can't be bothered.

BTS, however, have actively built their fanbase on social justice, and from their very beginning they were marketed as a social activist group, the underdogs that will overcome all social injustices, the bulletproof boys that will face adversity and shoulder on and come out of it invictus while leading their ARMY out of the dark cruel corrupt world.

Inevitably, people will demand you put your money where your mouth is. The same happened in 2020, when people got really disappointed and many black armys rightfully felt betrayed and were hurt about them not speaking out on black lives matter. Before the donation was made public, I mean.

I think it's noble to care about everything going on there and the politics of Qatar, but the reality is that these events have to be boycotted before they happen. Now, as noble as it is, activism is useless. The money has been spent, the politicians have been bought, the tourists have rented their hotel rooms and apartments, people are already spending thousands of dollars for a government that will continue to be corrupt and inhumane. It should've been avoided from the beginning, it should've never happened at all, any attempt at boycott right now is useless unless it somehow stops the whole thing and no game is played.

17 year old sexting a 21 year old is 1) not a crime

legally a 17 year old sexting anyone is a crime. a 17 year old sexting another 17 year old is a crime can get both 17 year olds child pornography charges. like, i understand where you're coming from, but the laws surrounding sexting for people under 18 are wonky at best and considering how in a LOT of places (florida and new jersey included, since theyre the relevant states) a 17 year old and a 21 year old having PHYSICAL sex is NOT a crime (physical sex arguably being more serious than sexting) i don't think that's a good metric to be using. i'm not even saying i think it's morally right because i don't it just kind of negates your point when physical sex would be legal but online sex isnt due to the absolute shit nature of laws

you have to take what i said in context. i said the idiot i rbed from was implying that what happened wasn't a crime with how nonchalant they were being about the situation. obviously i know the alleged sexting was a crime, that's part of why i'm so angry about this.

as you pointed out, the laws are different and just because they're different doesn't make it right either way. even tho it's technically legal for a 16 yo and a 23 yo to have physical sex, it's not legal for a 17 yo and a 21 yo to sext (because that's possession and distribution of cp). i'd also argue that a 17 yo and 21 yo shouldn't be having sex either (or be in a relationship), and just because it's legal doesn't make it right. however, the allegations are not and should not be negated simply because the laws are weird. if true, dream committed a crime because the age difference between him and amanda isn't covered by the romeo and juliet laws OR the mistake of fact defense.

what i was trying to say with my original post, however, was that the criminal nature of the situation shouldn't necessarily be the determining factor for whether or not this is wrong. the developmental gap between 17 and 20 is drastic enough to where you cannot have good, safe communication between both partners. the 20 yo with the more developed prefrontal cortex will just naturally have better reasoning and decision-making skills, as well as a better perspective on life. the 17 yo can't reasonable compete with a 20 yo brain, which makes complete sense! and it's the reason you don't see most 17 yo's dating 20 yo's, and vice versa. the same goes for a 19/24 age gap, for example. sure, it's completely legal, but if you've already graduated college and have been working for a few years or are in graduate school, do you really want to date a college freshman? obviously there comes a time when age gaps matter less and less, but the development between the ages of 16 and 25 is so fucking critical that i believe it's dangerous for people to date more than a year or two outside their own age. not necessarily because every older person is predatory towards younger people (although i believe that IS a concern) but because it's difficult to maintain effective communication between two people who have such different understandings of the world. and if you don't communicate well or aren't experienced enough to recognize the signs of a bad person/relationship, things can go very south very fast.

so yeah tl;dr the fuckiness of the laws don't matter. if the allegations are true (which i believe they are) dream committed a crime full stop. even if he didn't, he shouldn't be talking to a 17 year old in private dms in the first place because a 17 yo simply doesn't have the experience to properly handle themselves in that kind of situation
