So I had a thought, and your writing would capture this best in my opinion: Phantom coming back to the abbey, finding Aether, and proceeds to have the most Ghoultism conversation about his first tour and what he experienced. And he’s such a little cutie that he doesn’t stop him.

Aether didn't exactly know what saying 'tell me everything' to Phantom would mean for him. He didn't expect him to literally tell him everything. He did feel a bit like complaining, at first, he had better things to do. Not to say he didn't absolutely adore Phantom or that he was ignorant or selfish. Not at all, quite the opposite. Aether just really had a lot of work.

But Phantom was so adorable, he was so excited to tell the older ghoul all the stories from tour. Aether couldn't just stop him, could he?

"People were throwing us so many plushies, there's so many on the bus and everyone has some for themselves and I even got a few bats!" Phantom ranted so fast he was nearly out of breath. "I love bats so much, Aether, how did they even know!?"

"I have no idea, kid, but I'm happy you got some gifts from the fans," he chuckled. Phantom was too adorable for his own good.

"They know our names too! And they gave us so many different things, a lot of bracelets with our names, flowers and I even got a letter! A LETTER, Aeth, just for me!" he beamed.

"I saw you also got some flags thrown onto the stage, yeah?" Aether prompted. He should've probably bite his tongue if he wanted to leave the common room in the next 24 hours but Phantom was just too cute.

"YEAH! There were those rainbow ones and the other colorful one, you taught me about them when I was first summoned. The colorful one is for the whole community some humans are in, right? When they don't really fuck with everyone, just specific people?"

"Something like that," Aether giggled. It was one way to put it, especially with how Phantom perceived things Topside.

"The other one was the blue, white and pink and I think that's the one people use when their junk doesn't match their head? Like Dew and Sunny, they'd be them too if they were humans, yeah?"

"Yes, kid, it's called being transgender, for humans."

"Yes! People were so happy when we picked them up, Swiss too, I think it meant a lot to them. I think a lot of our fans are colorful humans, don't you think?" Phantom asked and actually paused for a second. Not a rhetorical question, then.

"I don't just think so, I know it. I used to check the internet a lot, the thing on your phone that you don't like. They say a lot of nice stuff about us all there, and yes, a lot of them are colorful, as you called it."

"'m happy I could make them feel... seen, then, you know? Swiss told me once their lives aren't really easy. That's sad," he pouted as he picked on a loose thread on his pant leg.

"That's true. But there's no reason for you to get sad now, kid. Tell me more, what else happened?" Phantom was not only a cutie, he was also really sensitive and Aether would much rather spend hours listening to his excited rambles than his sobbing.

"Oh, we visited so many fun places! The girls took a lot of pictures, they should show you! World is so big and there's so many different things in it, it was so exciting, Aether!"

"Oh, believe me, I know. Terzo loved travelling, when we toured with him there was no way to sneak out of a mandatory sightseeing in every city we got to. It was more tiring than playing itself. Mountain always ended up with Dew half asleep on his back on our way back to the hotel or a bus," it was true, the only thing that could've saved them from Terzo's traveling hunger was him himself being dead exhausted. Didn't happen often.

"Must've been fun! But yeah all of that was really tiring, we all napped when we could, even if for a moment. It's good you taught me all the basics of quintessence, I was helping everyone with their pains and when Dew couldn't sleep!"

"I'm proud of you, kid. I'm glad you liked touring and had so much fun," Aether sighed. He really was, even if he missed it already himself.

"Oh, and one time..."

You were scrolling on Twitter reading those funny posts and retweet some memes until you came into this one particular post showing how the girlfriend pranked her boyfriend by talking about the flowers he sent even though he didn't do it actually. It's funny reading the text where her partner got scared about it.

Then, you decided to do the same to your lovely boyfriend.

You: Jay baby🥺🥺, thank you for this flowers. I really love it.

Jay: What do you mean by that?

You: No need to be secretive now🥱 I know you give this. After all, who is the only one knew about my favourite flower😆

Jay: I'm serious, y/n. I didn't send anything to you. If I wanted to, I'll bring it to you when I come home.

You: [Image] Then, what is this mister?🙄

You waited for his reply but instead you got a call from him. You calmed down yourself before taking the call.

"Hello"

"When did you get the flowers?"

"Huh? What?"

"The flowers, y/n. Did you see the person who sent it or did they left some notes or anything?"

Jay's serious tone made you flabbergasted. You didn't know his reaction would be like this.

"No-no Jay. Umm, it's just a prank."

"...What?"

"It's a prank. I saw it on Twitter so I just wanted to try. I'm really sorry for worrying you."

You can heard Jay sighed heavily. He kept being quiet until few seconds later, he talked again but the tone of his voice now is soft.

"You made me worried, baby. Do you know how dangerous is that? I'm worried something will happen to you when I'm not there."

"Sorry again. I just want to play with you since I'm bored. I will not do it again."

"Alright baby. I will be back in 30. Let's go date tonight, okay?"

You squaled happily before ended the call and prepared yourself for the date. Jay on the other hand still trying to calm himself after what happened just now.

"False alarm. Y/n just playing a silly prank."

"I didn't know noona can be in silly mood too."

"It must be you that teach her how to prank people, Riki."

"I- hello?!"

"Why did you worry so much, Jay? We already make sure they will not find y/n anymore, right?"

"Plus, it's not like y/n can remember them. We made her completely forgot about her past as well."

"Who knows, maybe they suddenly feel brave to take her away from me."

"If that happens, we will make sure they won't even get to be closer to her."

Twice’s 10th member has a solo debut

A/N: I actually got another ask on Tumblr, yaaaaay! :)

The request: Can you do something like the 10th member getting a solo and twice's reaction to her being all grown up? I imagine they'd be the type to be so motherly and shocked to see a different side of her.😂 but at the end of the day she's still their lil baby!

It's been a long time since TWICE debuted and they couldn't be happier, after many requests their dear maknae got a chance to become a soloist. What they never expected was that she would be doing such a different concept from the one the group had.

As Y/N walked past the trainees, she finally understood how her unnies felt when they knew they'd perform alone. It was a mix of emotions she couldn't grasp how to deal with, after running along the corridors she finally found the waiting room where the staff and managers were all at.

Y/N: I'm sorry, I got lost *bowing*

Manager oppa: Hahahah, it's okay kid. Did you forget the way here?

Y/N: Yes... Jihyo unnie always guides me here and Sana unnie is always holding my hand so *shrugs*

Manager oppa: At least you got here safe and sound!

Y/N: Thank you for waiting and my apologies again. *bowing*

Meanwhile... her sisters were at the dorm preparing for the surprise they didn't tell their youngest. Even if they had a whole day of schedules they'd cancel it to support their maknae altogether. Also, they're incredibly curious about the title of the album, regardless of the days they spend begging for a sneak peek, Y/N stood her ground and denied showing anything till the day she'd be debuting, which is today!

Sana: I can't wait to see what our baby is gonna sing!!

Nayeon: She's amazing, look at this young pic of her. I can't believe she grew up so much!

Jihyo: She will always be our maknae, even when she's 60.

Jeongyeon: That's true, I can only imagine how much more endearing she can get!

Dahyun: It's not gonna be long till she gets on stage, we need to get there asap

After some -years- minutes, they're finally heading to the venue. The traffic was horrible but they got there on time (How? I guess we'll never know)

Sprinting through the halls they noticed their maknae a mile away, she was already on stage getting ready to record, not a single thought on her mind besides "You can do it, if the unnies did it, you can too" and because of that she failed to take note of her unnies eyeing her outfit and the concept of the stage (let's imagine she's the singer of Gotta Go by Chungha) and talking quietly with each other.

Mina: I mean- look at the aesthetic, it seems like she's gonna do something less cute than our songs.

Chaeyoung: Yeahhh, she's gonna rock the stage anyway ✨

Nayeon: There wasn't another option hon, she's our child.

At this moment, Y/N starts walking around the stage to check all aspects of the performance before she begins. Her members can see the change in her eyes and the confidence she carries. Her outfit is way more revealing than anything they've ever seen her use and the most surprising is how different she looks with makeup on, normally she goes for a natural look so spotting something like that makes them realize how grown up their maknae is, even if they refuse to believe it every single day. Sana: Wow, look! It's like a catwalk!

Momo: Ngl, she's looking hot.

Jihyo: HEY. I wanna oppose 'cause it's my kid we're talking about but yeah... I agree.

The youngest goes to her place and starts singing like there's no tomorrow, her members can only stare without saying a word, baffled doesn't even cover how they feel. When it gets to the chorus, her dance makes Momo think back to all the personal classes she gave the maknae when they were only a year after debuting. Jihyo starts to reflect on how much the girl has grown, from a child that followed her around to the woman that's on the stage belting and grooving to the rhythm of the song they could never see their kid doing. With tears in her eyes, Nayeon just seems to be perplexed by the changes between on-stage and off-stage Y/N, the innocent doe eyes she does when she wants some candy, the stumps when she gets frustrated about something she didn't get, the completely full of blush face she gets when her unnies annoy and fool around with her and everything else, disappeared, and TWICE didn't see it coming, they knew Y/N had already ended her teenage years however, seeing up close how adult, like she's by herself, is a shock.

Chaeyoung: Bro... Are you seeing what I'm seeing?

Dahyun: Yeah bro, she doesn't even seem like our maknae.

Sana: Where did my baby go??

Mina: Our honey seems so professional up there, I can't even explain how proud I feel.

Jeongyeon: Who let her do that? JYP didn't give us a warning!

Jihyo: A warning would be good...

Chaeyoung: Hell yeah.

Nayeon: Language.

Dahyun: Did you actually say that? I'm the only one who heard it??

Tzuyu: I did too, made her more of a grandma than we thought.

Nayeon: WHAT?

Sana: Shhhh, we're trying to listen to our baby singing.

Momo: Yeah grandma, let us appreciate our maknae.

Nayeon: Fine. I'm gonna let it slide just for our maknae.

When Y/N did some waves they couldn't help but want to close their eyes and think "This is a child, our child" but at the end of the day they understood how they should never judge the youngest for her solo, she wasn't that kid that entered the group and made their hearts melt from how much of a child she was, playing with her dolls from time to time, wanting to go to the park with her sisters, dancing to stupid songs just because. She still made them swoon in a blink of an eye but she grew up and they had to recognize that they did help on providing to create an incredible human being, their Y/N, their inspiration to be better every day.

After her stage, Y/N brighten up immediately when she saw her unnies. Running like the kid they remember each second they breathe, and that's when they started thinking the same thing:

Hi Rosie! This will be a very random question and not related to jikook but I really respect you and love your blog so I wanted to ask. I'm currently writing my thesis and I have a little over a month to finish it... I'm like halfway done with it, however this past week I was unable to just sit down to continue it. I lost all my motivation, I have no energy to do this, I'm never in the mood etc. I was just watching random youtube videos all week or baking lol or helping my parents. Anything but writing my thesis which should be my no1 priority. I was hoping that by the end of the week (which is now) I could get back into it because I thought I was bordering on a burn out so in the beginning of the week I wasn't that concerned with me ditching the thesis and just binging random videos... But now it worries me lol I really want get back into it because I have to finish it obviously and I just want to be done with it. (Me finishing this paper does not equal finishing university because I still have a big end exam to do!) But I just can't... I don't know, I still have no motivation, not in the mood... I tried forcing myself yesterday to write a page or two but I lost my focus so quickly... And i hate myself lol Why can't I just finish it... Idk, do you have any tips or anything on what I could do? :( Considering I'm halfway through, I can't really afford any more long breaks like this, I'd really need to get back into it :(

I am humbled that you want to hear or read my opinion on something so personal, thank you.

I totally understand the academic dilemma you are in; I think many can relate to you on that as well. Unfortunately, it's something that happens a lot and it's annoying because you just want to get it over with quickly but your brain doesn't cooperate.

First of all, don't be so hard on yourself. It's not really your fault, what's happening to you is quite normal. And honestly, it's almost expected when someone is doing their thesis hahahah.

I would recommend you to do several things:

Review what you've done so far. Not to necessarily continue but to see the progress you've made. Understand again why you chose that topic for your thesis, and how you have developed it so far. It is simply to admire how far you have come. Perhaps as you do that, as you remember why and what you are doing your thesis on, the inspiration will return. If it doesn't, that's OK too.

Something you could also do is pretend that you are just starting your thesis, obviously on the same topic but pretend that you are at the stage of planning how you will tackle it. Try to make a sort of list of the points you will make, how you will develop them and in general how you will argue your thesis. Don't think about what you have done, not exactly at least but imagine what you will do. Maybe seeing it from that perspective will help.

Forget for a few days about the thesis. Even though you already did it, you did it with the mindset that you had to finish the thesis, so you didn't really get away from it for a few days aajaj. Save your progress. Put away the books or material you are using for your thesis and rest. Rest your body but especially your mind for a few days. Entertain it with some hobby you have. Feed it maybe with other things, other subjects. After a few days of real rest, go back to your thesis, I am almost sure your inspiration will have returned.

The most important thing is that you relax, that you don't be so hard on yourself. Don't despair or question your work because you have done well so far, you are doing well. And I am sure you will finish your thesis soon and it will be amazing. I wish you all the best in your final exam. I am sure you will soon finish your thesis and I hope you will come back to tell us that you are graduating soon. I am proud of you, anon.

1- okay first of all i have something to say for Jimin; You can go wherever you want you selfish prick don’t manipulate Taetae (you know he cares for u so much and you’re using it) and don’t upset my babies anymore 😠 (And you should beg for mercy on your knees in front of my baby oc because if she wasn’t in the picture…you know what would happen to u my friend 🤗)

Okay now to answer your question about Yoongi's feelings. The reason why he was still able to run to her (kinda) was because he was a Creator and therefore it took a while longer for the magic to overwhelm him. Sophie and Shirley got like a "magical signal" from Suzy to start their plan. They tranquilised Jelena with magic and then attempted to do the same to Yoongi, which failed big times as they both got killed by him seconds later afnadf. Then he already heard OC scream for him, but by that point he also felt the magic infilitrate his body which meant he could only really stumble to get to her while his muscles grew weaker and weaker and his eyesight got darker and darker. He was definitely scared out of his wits, mostly for OC of course but also for himself because it's been thousands of years since he last felt that helpless 🥺

P.S. I have yet to give it another last proofreading, so some words might change but the sentiment will remain. (In other words, excuse me if some wording is weird hahahah)

"Do you want to get something to eat?" Is a question that brings you an immeasurable amount of unsavory memories.

Beginning with Naoya's interposition.

He knew very well that by saying those words he'd be cornering you into a spot you would have no way to get out —at least not easily— effectively reminding you that he had you under his control, down to the smallest, insignificant details. In that matter, it was almost naive to believe that today would end without further precedent after the doctor's visit. After all, the day was just starting.

From there, the catapult of the actions that followed soon after. For some reason, perhaps wanting to avoid meeting anyone else, Naoya's past paramour is the first thing that comes to mind.

You'd like to say that you weren't affected by in any shape of form by her existence and her role in Naoya's romantic life, but the fact that a woman who was no allegedly longer involved with him had earned far much more respect than you, his legitimate wife, hurt you far more than you'd like to admit.

And that's without considering how you felt about his imprudent behavior, how Naoya allowed her to be beyond comfortable with him, followed by his unwanted instigation, intended to irk you into lashing at her for flirting with your husband, only to be angry when you didn't proceed as planned, detailing you into giving him a spoonful of your burning honesty, which lead you to the most painful memory of your life yet.

One that just by even thinking if it made your heart sink, and your eyes water.

If perhaps you'd fought harder, not gone along with his invitation to get food, you wouldn't have bumped into his past lover, wouldn't have gotten into an argument with Naoya, and thus… your survival wouldn't be hanging on a thread, one so delicate… that was to be broken simply for your ability to have children.

So no, all things considered, you did not want to go "get something to eat" with him.

You don't want to go through that same circle of hell just because he felt in dire need of a distraction.

You didn't even want to go outside the estate in the first place, only doing so for the stated purposes of seeking the answer that you needed relating to your health, the ones that the doctor was willing to professionally give anyways, and head back with this precious information to ease both the worries of those that genuinely cared for you, and your troubled mind.

Naoya was nothing but a step towards your goal, and now that that was done, you no longer need to pay attention to his demands…

But even when you already accomplished what was to be the worst outcome, courtesy of his own father, that doesn’t seem to halt your husband from taking the same actions as last time.

If anything, you hoped that the fear of a repetition from that infamous day would’ve convinced him to go straight back home, halt the charade he was putting on with you, and go on with his life—but alas, that was not to happen, and it seems you’d have to take matters into your own hands.

"No, I’m not hungry. Thank you" is all that you say, diplomatically yet sternly as possible to show that your answer was inarguable, before continuing your path towards the car; only stopping when you are a few inches away from the door, eyes set on the handle, waiting for him to unlock it.

"We still have the rest of the day" Naoya attempts to sway your decision away, just as you expected he would, but you react accordingly by ignoring his words and denying him a reaction.

This stirs frustration inside Naoya, but Ranta’s lingering presence in the back of his mind keeps him at bay. It’s true that he doesn't want to push you away, but having to avoid this specific possibility was, as stated before, far more difficult than he ever anticipated—partaking in a life of privileges made it possible.

Still, he’s proven to be quite the difficult man to break down once he’s set his mind onto something, and with previous preparation, he’ll attempt to make you reconsider his offer in a way that would’ve appeared relatable to you…

If he hadn't been so blind to his own mistakes.

"Come on, we've been locked in the estate for days, don't you want to do something different?” He needled “Besides, you heard the doctor, you have to eat more if you want to be healthier—and we both know that’s not going to happen with my vegetarian family. I, for once, been wanting to get a hold of some protein"

You hold back the urge to scoff, loudly at least.

Was that his attempt to get you to open up with him? Engage with you? By comparing himself with you, as if he were stuck in the estate for the same reason as you?!

Now that was worth all the humiliation in the world!

You now wanted to laugh.

Naoya was not even remotely similar to your situation, he should know so since he was the one that made it possible! Yet, he refused (or perhaps couldn’t, poor ignorant Naoya) to see it.

You desired to confront him by asking whose fault that was, who was the one behind the fact that you were kept away from your family and friends, without any reasonable way to contact them, forced to spend your days at the estate—and if that wasn’t enough, you were also limited within the availability of certain facilities.

It was his own damn fault that you didn’t want anything to do with him, and yet, he delusionally goes on by acting as if you were the one that day decided one day to wake up and lose your marbles!

There was a moment where you actually believed he’d gained a sliver of self awareness after what you've done for him by standing up against his father—something you’ll probably regret ‘till the end of your days— by the way he’d kept his distance, but after remembering the manner in which he questioned your motives immediately after, his “caution” regarding his father’s untapped cruelty, instead of appreciating what you've done, and now, this… you've long given up on that dream.

It's obvious that there was to be no accountability on his part.

This his world, you were just unfortunate enough to be part of it.

"I want to go eat with you" he insists once more after seconds go by and you have yet to answer, or even acknowledge him outside of watching his reflection through the glass.

"I'll stay in the car. I’ll wait here while you go out and eat" you murmur back, the fingers from your right hand now gently clutching the handle, showing your determination and urgency to leave.

The gesture catches Naoya’s eyes, who were not able to leave your hand as he sees you pulling the handle from time to time, which only washes him over with a despicable current of emotions, starting with anxiety.

“I’m not leaving without you" he counters, pushing through his emotions and taking a step closer towards you, all actions that make you frown and tense up.

Maybe through the eyes of others this would’ve been a rather… moving gesture, somewhat romantic of a man not wanting to leave without the companionship of their partner, feeling rather lonely without it.

Or even the determination of not giving up on them, showing how willing they are to go against all odds to stay by their side.

Trying to run away is certainly an option, but it was one that came with many flaws: you had no money, knew nothing of this city, and if you took into consideration Naoya's speed, you'd be caught before you even took one step outside the building—you're not as impressive as your sister when it came to stamina, or strength as your brother, and with your now out-of-shape body… there was no way you could put up a fight against him.

Perhaps a call for help would be much better?

… No. It just circles back to the first point.

Naoya is going to outwit you. He’s going to stop you as soon as he catches wind of your intentions, and it dreads you to even think what kind of punishment he’d want to enact on you.

Since your life is already on a deadline, the only thing left to do is make your life even more miserable, with the most obvious thing that comes to mind is hindering what little socializing you have with the rest of the estate—it was a short list of people in that realm, but important nonetheless.

You couldn’t permit that. It meant losing too much already. It was of the utmost priority to keep a channel of communication needed to keep a channel of communication—at least for your sanity.

You want to laugh at these points.

Could you really be considered his wife, after describing what was to occur to you if you dared to go against him? What you just detailed was a slave, not a wife. Certainly not his wife, companion of the heir of the Zen'in clan.

There must be sin you haven’t accounted for to have your life go this wrongfully.

It's after revisiting all these points that you finally concede to his request—a decision that was already made for you as soon as you agreed to go to the doctor with him— releasing your grasp from the door representative of your freedom and turning around to let him know.

"Ok" you say, eyes briefly on him before landing down to the ground, the sight that was to accompany you for the rest of the day, while clenching your hands. "I'll go with you"

You're not sure of it, perhaps it was a fraction of your imagination or you were starting to see things, but through the briefest of moments you were relocating your gaze somewhere else, you swear to have seen a smile on Naoya's lips.

A mirage that rattles down to your very core. The significance of submission to his demands, trapped in a passage with no escape, just how you felt this marriage has always been, and will continue to be.

"The place we’re going to is at a walking distance, so I’ll just leave the car here" Naoya explains —as if your consideration had any value towards his decisions— followed by a quick scan of your face, hunting a possible reaction from you.

It’s a habit of his since the beginning of the day, one that you battle with another habit of yours, which is to be your indifference.

At your silence the heir can’t do anything but press his lips together, a comforting method to push down his staggering disappointment.

"Let's go" Naoya motions at the exit. And you, too deep to back out, sigh whatever remains of your unwillingness and begin to follow him—down to the first floor of the building, out the parking lot and onto the city—all with the requirement of staying a few steps behind him.

You were not late for the WIP ask game !! But I definitely am, sorry it's taken me a couple days to answer 🙏 Thank you for the ask, love!

You have all the answers under the cut so I don't make an annoyingly lenghthy post ^^

Okay, so #1, Lest is my 2022 season fic. It has like 25k words written, but it's mostly dialogue except for a few fully formed scenes, and it spans literally the entire season. I wrote it as it went on (it's divided into 28 chapters), but it's too gargantuan of a WIP to work through :S Maybe I'll reconceptualise it into a oneshot, cause I like the character arcs in it and there's scenes I love a lot. Max is poly in this and in a serious relationship with Kelly, and at the start Charles is with Charlotte too. Charles and Max start developing a closer friendship, and then ✨feelings✨ start to appear. They go back and forth without addressing said feelings for a long while.

Here's an excerpt of a scene post Singapore qualifying:

"Hey." He said quietly, debating with himself for all of two seconds before he took a seat next to Max, self-consciously still leaving a gap between them. When he finally settled down, it seemed like Max came out of whatever revery he had been in.

"Sorry we're up here." He muttered, his voice cracking up in the middle before he cleared his throat, still looking ahead to the skyline that was visible. "Kelly was asleep already."

Charles hummed, but didn't really know how to answer that. There was a weird feeling hanging between them, and Charles would be lying if he said on his part it had nothing to do with having met Kelly the day before, or Max mentioning her being in their room and bed right now. It made him feel awful, too. But he doubted anything going on between them had anything to do with Max reaching out so late and when they should've been closing the curtains in their rooms and getting to bed. It was nearing midnight in Monaco's time. Way past their bedtimes.

"Are you okay?" He braved, waiting with bated breath to see if Max would lash out. Charles still didn't know what to expect with him. He was better at reading Max now that he had ever thought he would be, but Max still seemed so out of reach sometimes.

The other man only let out a long sigh, though, stretching his legs and letting them rest against the pavement of the roof.

"I lost it." Charles frowned, confused, but then Max kept talking and he suddenly knew what about. "Such a small issue, completely and understandably something that can happen –not that it should, but I know it can happen, and I shouldn't complain because the team ever so rarely makes mistakes–, and I…. completely lost it."

Charles took a deep breath, then let it out slowly before admitting in a quiet voice, "I heard." He doubted there was anyone in the paddock who hadn’t. And the press… not their most forgiving day when it came to Max. Charles was selfishly glad that he usually had the press on his side, that he didn’t have to know what was being on the other end of it, being labelled as the villain time and again.

It was the middle of the night, and Charles’ phone told him it should’ve been at least a bit colder than it was during the day, but the heat remained even as high up as they were, his t-shirt clinking to his skin in a way that not even the humidity in Monaco managed to accomplish. Singapore was beautiful, but Charles had never liked how sticky it made his skin.

#3 F1TV -> this one started as a 5+1 and I'd really like to finish it. I have 3 and a half out of 6 written, so odds are I may actually do finish it. Premise is Max keeps analysing Charles' onboards to "study the enemy" (full suspension of disbelief cause they have both said they never watch other onboards and just focus on their own hahahah). Here you have a little excerpt from it:

After that second time, it becomes a thing. Max keeps asking G.P. for the race onboards, he makes a habit of watching them either on the plane back home or once he's home, so he can watch on a screen bigger than his phone. Sometimes if he’s told it’s a particularly good race, he sets up the video on the screen of his simulator, and analyses it while replicating every movement Leclerc does with his own hands on his steering wheel. He can't find a way to explain this weird obsession other than he's trying to find cracks in Leclerc's driving. Because about halfway through last year's summer, Leclerc signed to Sauber. And even though Max shouldn't be concerning himself with someone driving such a backmarker car as a Sauber, he knows Leclerc from his own karting days, and he has seen enough onboards from him by now to know he's not going to be driving a midfield car in Formula 1 for long. He'll step up sooner or later. And Max needs to be prepared.

And finally, as for a continuation of As Long As I Get To Keep You, it's not so much a continuation as me tying loose ends for my own peace of mind. I don't know if it'll ever see the light of day, but here you have the conversation that made me create that WIP:

It was only later in the day, when they were both once again cuddling in Max's bed, that Charles remembered something.

"What did…" He started, but for some reason the words got lost along the way as his finger slid up and down Max's chest, taking in the way it rose and fell with each breath.

Max indulged him, but he still whispered, "Hm?"

Charles had to make a conscious effort to tear his eyes away from the skin he had littered with hickies. It made something stupid and primitive go nuts inside him, Max being all marked up by his lips. But the curiosity about this particular part of their day in that world itched his brain. It probably wasn't even that important. Charles still couldn't help it.

"When Jules called." Max takes a deep breath, as if he felt this conversation was going to go down a route Charles wasn't intending it to, so Charles rushed to finish his thought. "When he called, and you took the phone."

"Yeah?"

Charles turned a bit in Max's hold to be able to look at him properly.

"What did he want to talk to you about?" He finally asked, meeting Max's eyes and seeing confusion in them, then something else entirely.

i can tell you my own experience and tips, but to be honest i would not be able to talk about other genders', since that would be their own personal experiences that i can't necessarily relate to.

so for me, my first time was horrible to be honest hahahaha. i read about it and researched about it so much, and it didn't matter whatsoever. also, my first time came after trying it a bunch of times and it just hurting really really badly so i just kind of gave up for a bit until i built up the courage again. i got mad drunk in hopes that it would help, but that was absolutely not the best decision hahahaah, wouldn't recommend

so in terms of tips for a cis girl, i would say: make sure you're comfortable with the person. make sure they're someone who's considerate and cares about you and takes their time and won't rush you. know that it might hurt. a lot. (it might also not, i've read about a lot of people that said their first time didn't hurt so yeah) don't put too much pressure on yourself or on the situation itself - in reality, it's probably not going to be great, and you're probably not going to cum. for me, it took about a week (?) of doing it every day of getting loose enough for it to not feel like i was being split in half hahahah (i'm exaggerating for comedic effect). i'm not trying to discourage you bc when it's good, it's fucking amazing, but just don't have the expectation of something you would read in a fic the first time. lube!!! can't stress this enough. condoms!!! can't stress this enough (that goes for every other time, not just the first time) - don't let him talk you out of it, first time or ever!! this is extra but: maybe start slow, with fingering first, to get you a bit more loose first? i kind of wish i did that, to be honest it might have helped.

OMG Before I start talking I just wanna say that I haven't disappeared I actually did leave comments about last chapter idk what happend to that but whatever hahahah moving on also this has spoilers sooo 😗

THIS IS MY FAVOURITE CHAPTER. FAVOURITE. And this is coming from a person that is very indecisive. Holy shit.. THANK YOU FOR GIVING US THIS BEAUTIFUL STORY. The emotions that I've felt during this chapter.. I LITERALLY CRIED.. This is SO SO perfectly written. They really evolved from the beginning. And I'm not talking just about the statement friends. I'm talking about them ACTUALLY talking.

“Will you tell me about them? Your parents?” - I ALMOST FUCKING CRIED 🥺🥺🥺

The way she didn't even hesitate to tell him her story. That's growth. We would never see her do this few chapters ago. But now it just shows how much charecter development she had. She actually wanted to tell him about it. The way she couldn't said what she wanted and Daniel took her on his lap 🥰🥰🥰 that movement was so cute, hugging her and giving her the courage to continue.. It was on of the moments were my insides were melting.

Daniels little speech how he's so proud of her 🥺🥺🥺 im bawling my eyes at this point

I FUCKING KNEW IT!!! I FUCKING KNEW IT. I KNEW THAT DANIEL DOESNT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING WITH THAT ARTICLE. I've said this for last chaper and I'll say it again. I feel like Daniel wanted always to be her friend but then she was the one who started hating him and he was like better something then nothing so that's why he's been hating her. I feel like he doesn't really have any big reasons like she does. He was like if hating her, making fun of her, teasing her, making her life miserable means that I can be close to her then I'll take it. Better that than nothing. I feel this is exactly what happened.

“We did. Mutual hatred.” she just confirmed that they don't hate each other anymore. I don't think she even realized that 🤭 yes they said that they are friends but they never said that they dont hate each other anymore..

HOW COULD YOU END THE CHAPTER IN THAT I LITERALLY SCREAMED AND ITS 3AM I NEED TO KNOW.. I NEED NEXT CHAPTER ASAP... I SO DESPERATELY NEED TO KNOW WHY SHE SAID THAT (althought i might have hunch 😏)

Like I said this was SO PERFECT.. Loss of words honestly.. Also just wanted to say that I LOVED Max pov. I really loved writing his little speech about being proud of her, like honestly it felt genuine Daniel to me. I imagined how I'd feel being told similar things by Daniel and it made me feel like I was going to die so I ran with it.

I met Lauren Graham!!! I MET Lauren Graham! Like... she looked at me. And she spoke to me. And she held my hand! I have to keep saying it to myself over and over again, because it's hard to believe it really happened!

After we drove to Denver to see her book tour show, and I wasn't able to get a Meet and Greet ticket, I was manifesting additional dates and locations so I could have another try. And she CAME TO SLC! I jumped on immediately to get my ticket, and scored a Meet and Greet pass this time! So I've been looking forward to this for a couple of months now.

I had to go straight from work, so I didn't look quite as cute and great as I'd hoped, but I tried my best. As I pulled up to get in line, a girl in the GA line offered me $400 for my Meet and Greet. It was slightly tempting, but no, I knew I'd be sad if I missed my one chance to meet one of my all-time favorite celebrities! She was so desperate though that by the time we were going in, she was calling out an offer of $700! I couldn't believe no one took her up on it - especially boyfriends that were obviously just getting dragged along!

We did security, and then got in line to go in one at a time. I was basically at the end of the line, so I had to wait a long time. I was so nervous, as expected. So many butterflies, wondering how to act, how not to be shy, how to seem normal... Especially since I was all alone!

When it was my turn, I went in and she was so nice and sweet, even if the conversation was brief. I told her I'd driven up to see her in Denver, but that I was so glad she came to SLC so I could get the chance to meet her! She said she hoped that the SLC was better and funnier than the Denver show, and then told me she'd never been here before, only to Park City. We laughed about how they're basically the same thing, because they both have mountains. And then we talked about the creepy little church in Denver the event was held at. And then basically we took our picture and that was that! I wish I could have spent more time with her - there are so many questions I'd ask her if I had more time. But she took my hand and held it like my grandma used to, and I think that's so dang cute. Also, she spoke directly to me, and given the fact that she herself talks me to sleep every night, it was surreal and sweet haha.

I got another signed copy of Have I Told You This Already? as part of the experience and then went out to get seats and wait for B to get in. He got a ticket to the show, just not the Meet and Greet! Having the VIP ticket was nice, because we got a seat front and center, without having to get there super early! I submitted two questions for Sam Pancake (her friend and moderator) to ask her - one the same as last time (What's one thing on your bucket list?) and one new one (Have you gotten a sneak peek at Kelly Bishop's new book?). And they ended up using BOTH of my questions! Out of the hundreds that were written. It was my lucky night!

She looked beautiful in her green dress (green must be my lucky color because she's worn it for both of my shows). Lauren and Sam are so charming and so funny, and again, the show is just not long enough. I would like to hear them speak regularly - they need a podcast or something.

Some highlights:

Sam, reading a submitted question: "Bad Santa is a Christmas classic."

Lauren: "Not for my Dad, it isn't."

hahahah

She told a story about getting a massage at a health retreat, and being upside down and naked, obviously, when the masseuse came in and said, "They say that a lot of celebrities come here, but I've never seen one. You look familiar though, do I know you from somewhere?" And she talked about how she was very concerned at what part of her he was recognizing, and just wanted to get on with the massage, so she just said, "Can we talk about this later?!"

They asked both of my questions, and her bucket list item was to take her dad to Japan, or on some kind of active/cycling trip one more time, now that he's getting older. And she said she hasn't read Kelly's book, and she's scared of what could be in there, because Kelly has no filter haha.

She recommended chicken nachos from Red Iguana (gotta try) and the book Tom Lake (I've already purchased it to read haha).

She said that getting to play Lorelai was special that even if they never work again (meaning her and Sam), it would be ok, and he was so offended hahah.

Overall, so much fun. I'm so grateful to have gone again, and for the very happy memory I'll have forever of talking to her one-on-one. I heart LG.

the fact that you remember me consistently is like incomprehensible to me. my eyes aren't burning, my eyes aren't burning.

do NOT let pressure force you to write another piece for them. if you don't wanna, don't. (i'm sorry i said anything bc i hadn't read your other anons before i sent mine). but look, writing, and i could be wrong - but i think it always starts as something we do for us. whether for fun, for therapeutic needs, etc. -- but we start because we're doing it for ourselves. the moment we're writing for other people, i do think we lose a little bit of our magic. i know that's probably controversial to say -- because of course one of the best parts about writing is the response you get from the readers!!!! DUH. and there's nothing wrong with that!!!!! i'm not shaming or judging or saying we shouldn't revel in the validation that readers provide us - we should!!!!!! it's wonderful!!!!! and so healing to writers!!!!!!! i feel like these two get confused a lot though -- like people thinking they can't write with the hope of pleasing others. you can!! what i'm saying is, the best stuff we write is because we wanted to write it. and hoping it pleases others concurrently is a natural desire!!! right? but you can't... like, writing solely because you feel like it's expected... something is lost when you do that. and i know a lot of people do commissions, and i think that's a separate talent in itself! so no shame to those people either!!!! UGH I'M RAMBLING I'M SORRY. what i'm really trying to say is that if you don't want to write another piece for hot distraction, it's okay. no one's going to hold it against you or stop reading your work. you're not going to be letting anyone down. instead interpret the request as a just really wonderful compliment -- and that's it. you know? idk, i feel like my original thoughts got tangled up and i didn't actually say what i meant to say. but write what you want to. write what excites you. that's the point. it's always been the point, from the very first time you decided to tell a story.

ugh you literally hit the nail on the head with this!! writing for fun is so easy and smooth sailing, when you write for other people or especially when i write for patreon, there’s a lot of stress and pressure to make sure things are written in time and enough content is being made, it becomes a chore and takes away the initial excitement of writing.

with hot distraction my main problem is i aim to write just one piece and then when people tell me they’ve enjoyed it and ask for another part, my mind starts ticking and it’s another thing i’ve mentally added to my to write list LMAO and that’s NO ONE’S fault at all, it’s just my brain working overtime literally every second of the day it’s hard to keep up with myself sometimes HAHAHAH
