HiMERU - Haunting Midnight Wings

Have you heard of the abandoned mansion that no one, not even the king, dares to touch? The rumor is that once, long ago, there were five noble houses united under the crown. From the beginning, the fifth house was already small, but when their numbers began to dwindle further, the other nobles saw an opportunity. At midnight, their hired assassins slaughted the mansion's inhabitants. Not even the young master's butler was spared, killed while spiriting the boy away. When the bodies were counted, however, the young heir was nowhere to be found. And ever since that night, those foolish enough to intrude have found themselves tormented by will-o-the-wisps, glowing yellow eyes, and echoing chimes. "How rude of them to leave so quickly. HiMERU was simply reminding them of dinnertime. "Oh? You, however, seem quite unafraid. In that case, perhaps you'd like to stay a while?"

this was a fanmade outfit for @ensemblelive's vtuber au! design notes, commentary, and front view fullbody under the cut.

oh, this was so difficult. i'm a ghost enthusiast, so i was struck by the thought of making a ghost outfit/alternate lore for himeru. but i don't draw often— i'm mostly a writer. i'm not great at art, and when i do draw, i usually have to simplify complicated designs. i was now Making a complicated design. you see the problem.

anyway, i guess it mostly worked out. at least it wasn't genshin level of complicated. sorry to everyone who had to hear me talk nonstop about it for three days though.

designwise, himeru's outfits mostly fall into two extremes: entirely covered or chest window. since the base design chose one, i chose the other!

this design is primarily a mix of xxveil, romantic?date, and lucky scramble outfits. however, the ribbon detailing is from fs1. the tall boots also take inspiration from it too. the only things i kept from fs2 was the chain pattern and the sleeve ribbons… since these outfits are so formal, i had to lean into it and go for a butler theme alongside the initial ghost theme (i'm sorry yuzuru, it just fit too well).

lucky scramble also gave me another theme, which is butterflies! since butterflies have been symbols of the soul and omens of death, i thought it'd mesh perfectly. this is why the tailcoat somewhat resembles wings, and the inside lining is so brilliantly colored. there's also butterfly detailing on the back, the lapels, and the bolo tie.

because of these additional themes, despite "ghost" being the base of the design, i had trouble implementing something recognizable. eventually i decided to incorporate it into the hair and certain details (watch out wataru, himeru can have gravity-defying hair too!).

anyway, this was fun. i wasn't expecting to spend this much time on this, so i think if i do this again it'll be for the rest of my favorites whose original concepts interest me. (please spare me and don't release anyone else from alkakurei in the next week… /joking)

Reference for my Mocking Magpie AU Martyn

This was long due, it took so long, but I finally finished. All details on the read more.

Martyn is a bird, a black mockingbird specifically! He can technically fly with them, but it's not his strong suit, he likes to walk and sneak on people more than flying. He uses them to get to a place faster, which is not often, he likes to take everything at his own pace. He keeps them hidden in his backpack, which he didn't do to copy Phil, he was just excited to be able to make the backpack he has in his regular Minecraft skin a reality, and it just happened that Phil was doing something similar.

I decided to make a mix of his regular Minecraft skin, his Limited Life one, and his Vtuber mostly because I wanted to, but also because of symbolic lore reasons. Since lore-wise in this AU, he was brought to Quesadilla Island to deal with the Watcher/Eye worker problem, since he has experience dealing with those, which is why he has the scars.

References where he has his scars and how they are activated when Watchers/Listener activity is happening, he can't control it.

Also without his bandana, it explains why people think he and Phil are twins, which btw, they aren't, they aren't even the same type of bird family. Is just a joke that ran too far.

PS: he kept the Dogswarts banner because 1) it matches Phil and he wants to annoy him as much as possible, 2) as I mentioned, he was wearing it for Limited Life, which is symbolically important 3) he wants the people who get it crying

It was after an overnight shift that he walked in on Eto Yoshimura, the woman behind the mask of famous VTuber Sen Takatsuki, twirling about the minuscule area that was his living room. Even if she was living here temporarily— he always told her this was a temporary arrangement, and she would always cackle like he had told the world's funniest unfunny joke— everything here was his.

He shut the door and approached with loud footsteps that went ignored.

He saw a large burgundy cloak and a monstrous mask were hanging recklessly on the coat rack. Eto herself had bandages wound tightly round her legs and arms. It seemed that tonight, Takatsuki wouldn't be streaming, and the Owl would take flight.

“What are you doing?” He spoke as if he had any authority over her.

A normal person would simply answer the question— she was just dancing to a tune on her phone. But not Eto. Eto was always different, frustratingly different. Some people were attracted to it, the way she defied expectation in favor of her own agenda and pulled on the strings until they snapped. Once upon a time, he supposed he was too, and more than most.

Not anymore; he knew better now. He knew the hypocrite hiding in her body, the one that spewed efforts of change— even led them now under her new identity— yet when it came to her own life, threw them by the wayside.

She paused and spared a glance at him. “What do you think?”

He rolled his eyes. “Making a fool out of yourself.”

She took a few steps, almost crossing the length of their— his— tiny living room, and turned. “The onlooker is more foolish to observe a private performance.”

"The performer was in a conspicuous enough place to be caught," he countered. "If they didn't want to be caught, they'd pick somewhere less obvious."

"I would think an apartment is a more than private enough." Her lips curled into a grin, but her eyes didn't. "The onlooker would have to actively be seeking the performance. More foolish."

He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. I'm going to bed."

"Giving up already? But we just started!" Eto laughed.

"We haven't 'started' anything," he sneered. "Get out of here."

She did no such thing, and said the last thing he expected to hear.

"Kaneki."

His name.

He stopped in his tracks. Her tone was soft, like she was whispering it into his ear. Like she cared. A memory flashed across his mind, one of tangled limbs and misinformed feelings. She had said it like that back then too, and she had held his face in her hands like he was the whole world.

“Dance with me.”

What a joke.

He tried to continue their game. “And look like a fool?”

“It isn’t foolish if we’re the only ones watching.” Eto held out her hand in invitation. "So dance with me."

He made the mistake of looking at her. A carefully neutral expression, but given how she was always smiling and giggling and pretending to be something she would never be, it was mesmerizing. Against his better judgment, he laced their fingers together like the mistake they had made that night.

She started the next track and took the lead. They spun around the room, the notes filling the silence with noise. He kept his hand firmly at her waist, remembering the one time he had run it up and down her back and watched her shiver. Still, as the dance continued, he couldn't help but notice she was still small beneath the baggy clothing. Still vulnerable.

Eto looked everywhere except at him, and the part of him he was supposed to have crushed in his grip strained to believe it was for a similar reason. It wasn't. It couldn't be. That bridge was burned and neither was willing to jump the distance left behind. Even this arrangement was just temporary. The Owl couldn't keep itself secret forever.

It would end again, just like it always did.

Kaneki dipped her down as the song came to an end, forcing them to look at each other. Even though it was brief, they panted slightly, studying the other's expression and finding nothing. Because there was nothing. Not anymore.

She grinned after a moment. “You look good.”

He scoffed and dropped her on the floor, ruining everything. She gasped at the impact, but burst into a fit of giggles afterward. He went to his bedroom and shut the door, refusing to look back.

The Owl left the apartment not long after.

The flagship raised together with the fans– What kinds of "future" that Hanasaki Miyabi, Kanade Izuru, Arurandeisu, and Rikka dreamed of? Male VTuber group "Holostars" 3rd-anniversary special interview (Part Two)

-The relationship within Holostars-

——Since everyone from the 1st generation is here, is there something you’d like to say to any Holostars members, especially on this occasion?

Arurandeisu: Ehh–! What should I say!?

Rikka: Something to say for the occasion huh...

Izuru: I do have something. At first, Miyabi was a very delicate and sensitive guy, so whenever I started pointing out something he did wrong he usually replied "I see..." with a bit of a dejected expression on him.

Miyabi: Oh yeah! (lol). It used to bother me a lot whenever someone did that to me.

Izuru: We're not that close at first, so doing that kinda stuff might've put extra pressure instead.

Miyabi: Basically yeah. Nowadays we treat it more like a regular banter though (lol).

Izuru: I often told him to go and lose some weight too nowadays–

Arurandeisu: Get a grip Miyabi-kun! You're going to make our juniors at UPROAR!! worried at this rate (lol).

Miyabi: I’m sorry–!!

Izuru: Nowadays we’re mostly chatting like regular friends easily, I think back then Miyabi once thought something along the lines of "engaging with him is no fun at all" when it comes to me (lol).

Miyabi: Ahahaha (lol).

——Ehh!?

Izuru: During our debut period, it was mostly filled with a drive to just do what we can to make this a success, but oftentimes it felt like we were just circling with no ends in sight. We then learned how to balance things eventually and nowadays, we pretty much have a clear goal in mind.

Rikka: Everyone was forcing themselves a lot that we had to take a step back in the end.

Arurandeisu: Was that (lifestyle) too harsh perhaps? (lol)

Rikka: Not really, but it's more like– you guys shouldn't force yourself that bad! kind of thing.

Izuru: That's right. Back then it was pretty much forced, whether it was someone trying to crack a joke or saying something that could be relatable... But now, we can just chat normally.

Miyabi: Yeah. We finally got to know each other well now.

Izuru: We also understand everyone's limit, just look at how much Aru-san is laughing nowadays compared to then.

Arurandeisu: I heard stuff like that a lot (lol).

Rikka: We didn't have that many group collab back then too and it made me worried about our legality as a "group" on its own. But thanks to the meet-up on that day (December 2022), it made me realize just how important it is to meet everyone else properly before anything else.

Miyabi/Arurandeisu: True that!

Izuru: There's a lot of things you'll find out by meeting them directly after all.

Arurandeisu: Huh? Now that you mentioned it Izuru-kun, you kept saying how you didn't want to go to the interview before, was it?

Izuru: (laughs)

Arurandeisu: While you were eating you kept going like "It's fine if I don't go, right". By the way, I only said this now precisely because it's the only right time for it.

——I guess it is true in a way (lol).

Izuru: It's harder if I have to come up with an excuse after all... Recently I just did most of my work while grumbling at the side too (lol).

Rikka: I understand how that feels though… Going outside feels like a bother sometimes. There's stuff to prepare beforehand and those are just as important so we can't just ignore it.

——I guess that's right. It should be fine if we take precautions, otherwise things could get awry easily. Sometimes it would even kill your motivation.

Arurandeisu: That's true.

Izuru: Now that I recall, recently Miyabi kept saying stuff like "Glad I didn’t quit~" on every occasion he could.

Arurandeisu: Oh yeah! What's up with that?

Miyabi: That's how I truly felt after all. I'm not sure if it's because I was anxious about something though… But everyone has been with me since then anyway, so I think it's time for me to stop saying that (lol).

Izuru: This kind of lifestyle somehow pushes you to do something when you're not resting up I feel. If it wasn’t for weekends and national holidays we wouldn’t even bother taking breaks either. That's why everyone looked like they were always busy during these 3 years, though to be precise– the first 1.5 years was the most crucial of all.

Miyabi: That may be it!

Izuru: That's why I think it is pretty amazing that we could last over 3 years.

——Now that you said it, there is some truth to it.

Arurandeisu: From that alone, it sure is good that we were able to have this kind of talk during our 3rd anniversary I think.

——After hearing everyone talking about their experiences, it seems like things have been in a much better situation now huh...

Izuru: Compared to the early years, I don't think anyone is trying to force themselves as much anymore.

Miyabi: It does feel much easier mentally speaking.

Rikka: Yeah. Having to stream a lot was quite troubling after all.

Izuru: Some streams nearly every day and some others do long-hour streams, having seen it all may have given us the much-needed experience. It almost feels like we've gone through trials and errors just to find "our" own streaming style.

Arurandeisu: After doing that, we managed to present a stream style that reflected each of our personalities.

Rikka: And one thing to note is that everyone moves at a different pace, in a way it makes for a good balance too I think.

Izuru: I also think it's good to have everyone move at a different pace altogether. Now that I remembered, I did tell Aru-san something like "I think it's better to move at a slower pace so don’t force yourself out" as well.

Arurandeisu: I remember that one!

Izuru: Because you’ll eventually tire yourself like that, Aru-san. Nowadays, he has managed to find his own pace thanks to that experience I think.

Arurandeisu: I'm really glad about that as well.

Izuru: In a way, it's nice that the 9 of us don't intervene with each other’s activity as much. We always gather around when we have to anyway, I think that itself sets off a good balance between ourselves.

Arurandeisu: In a way it's like respecting each other's solo activity huh...

Izuru: Not to make a comparison, but this kind of relationship that each Holostars members have toward each other is less common among others, I think.

Arurandeisu: I get what you mean. This is just my own opinion but I do think we're still getting along despite that.

Izuru: As more people join, having a clique formed inside it is mostly unavoidable. But for Holostars, it almost feels like there's no distance between us all.

Rikka: And I feel like everyone also has a soft spot. Like making sure we wouldn't stream over each other and such (lol)

Izuru: And even if we did, most would say stuff like "Sorry!!" and all (lol).

Miyabi: We casually chat with each other using emotes/stickers (on Discord) as well.

Arurandeisu: Though we don't appear as close on-screen, we care about each other a lot off-screen, to be honest.

Izuru: That's the sentiment that applies to everyone right? The same goes for UPROAR!!'s members as well.

-First-hand experience at the 3rd-anniversary event!?-

——Let's move to the last topic of this interview, the 3rd-anniversary event! Regarding the event that will be held on June 26th, can you explain what kind of event would it be?

Rikka: It will mostly feature 3D variety entertainment which will be a different experience compared to our previous events. To be honest, we rarely do this kind of event, to say the least.

Miyabi: You're right, we rarely do something similar.

Izuru: I guess being able to meet everyone in a "venue" almost "directly" would excite most people. Since the situation around has started to lighten up as well, it would be nice if this type of event could become something of a main among others.

Miyabi: It's always nice to be able to meet our fans be it on-site or stream after all.

Rikka: Besides meeting via an in-site venue, I think there's also a different kind of experience you can get through online meet-ups. Not only by watching, but we can also communicate through actions and other things.

Izuru: We'll be having in-site and livestream comment participation as well, so there are various ways to get the audience involved in the event.

Arurandeisu: That's right. Whether you were attending in person or watching through a live stream, all of us will be able to enjoy the events together! In a way, this event will be a joyful one for everyone involved!

Miyabi: Compared to our previous events, it's nice that we were able to have an event where our fans are actively "involved" in it.

Izuru: In a way, it will be our first-hand experience, right!?

——Ohh!

Arurandeisu: I hope everyone will be looking forward to it as much now.

-What does "Holostars" mean for everyone?-

——With the 3rd anniversary getting closer, if there's anyone who has something they like to challenge, a new goal, or perhaps a new dream– please let us know!

Miyabi: Maybe not exactly a "dream", but I’ve been uploading vlog-style videos recently, not a normal type of vlog but one that makes use of my VTuber self. For now, I hope I can keep doing something like this for a while. Also considering that Cover Corp. will surely continue to expand themselves, I'd like to attempt things that aren't done by many VTubers, starting with the 3rd anniversary, I'd like to challenge the limit of VTubers and try out many new things in the future.

——I've watched several of the videos already, and it almost feels like we're being taken on a trip together, it was a satisfying experience.

Miyabi: Thank you so much! I still have some videos to be uploaded soon, so I hope you can look forward to those as well.

Arurandeisu: You did go to a lot of places huh... Trying out new genres of activities is a pretty good dream to have.

Miyabi: I'd like to be the pioneer for a one-of-a-kind genre myself!

——How exciting. We will be looking forward to your future activities! How about Izuru-san?

Izuru: To be honest, I'm in the middle of tidying up some "stuff" right now...

All: Tidying up "stuff"!?

Izuru: It's probably not the kind that everyone initially thought about to be honest (lol).

——Please do elaborate!

Izuru: I was busy taking care of my moving process mostly. Personally, it would be nice if I could make content out of my outdoor activities I guess. Regarding my dream, I'd like to sing in a place where being a VTuber doesn’t matter much. I think it would also help more aspiring VTubers to appear in various media easily. Like doing anime theme songs and such.

Arurandeisu: Oh–!

Izuru: Also we rarely have TV broadcast appearances, so I thought I'd like to try it as well if possible. Lastly, I hope to continue my activity for as long as I can!

Arurandeisu: I share a similar dream with Izuru-kun, but since I like doing 3D streams I'd like to make a TV appearance while utilizing my 3D body. Izuru-kun would be focusing on the music side but as for me, I'd like to use my 3D appearance to go over the limit of the wide web through TV broadcasting. I feel like it would be nice if I could do my activities in a different and much bigger place possible.

——Maybe in the future, you will be the host of your own TV program perhaps...?

Arurandeisu: Talking about the bigger scale already!?

All: (laughs)

Arurandeisu: Though it would be nice if I have something like that in the future, for now, I'd like to focus on what's ahead as I try to broaden my reach and work myself toward that goal.

——It might be interesting to see what 3D Arurandeisu-san will come up with in the future! How about you, Rikka-san?

I don't know if that's just me, but what's up with media outside the games having this obssession with portraying Sonic as this self-absorved asshole? It's IDW, Boom and now even Prime is going down that route. It's so strange for me because playing the games I never felt Sonic to be like that at all.

This is just under Flynn's pen. I have no sources for Penders' writing because I ain't reading that shit, but I know he was ten times worse. At least you could say that Boom Sonic is a different Sonic - Archie and IDW really have no excuse.

I don't want to be all "japan great, west bad", but this is a very Western take on Sonic. It all started with the cartoons from the '90s, which amped up Sonic's attitude to make him more palatable to the kids of the time (funny, as Sonic was deliberately designed to appeal to the West), and then it just snowballed from there: Western adaptations kept that attitude and turned it into outright mean-spiritedness, to the point that people who are working on Sonic nowadays still think he is a "abrasive and a jerk" (but that makes him fun of course!), while in Japan he's cocky and confident, but never mean. Just listen to Vtuber Sonic!

I'll always link to this difference in scripts between Colors in English and Colors in Japan (17:34)

I don't even think Sonic and Tails lightly making fun of each other is bad, I think it's cute in its own way, but the Japanese version completely removes that and changes it into them falling all over themselves to thank the other! That's how nice Sonic is in Japanese!

But yeah, ABT's comment answers your question. A jerk Sonic is fun, apparently. Plus, it's a character flaw, which makes it automatically interesting... right?

Nijisanji EN - Sonny and Yugo & Alban

"Hmm, I don't know, Sonny," Yugo spoke, trying to keep a firm grip around Alban's left ankle, "so far, I think I'm doing a better job ~"

"Is it true, Alban?” Sonny muttered coldly, pulling the thief’s right ankle into an arm lock.

“GuhUHUHuys- AhahaAHah, plehehEHEHA- I fuhUHUhuckihIHing cahAHahan’t!” Alban cursed, clenching his hands around the bedsheets to try bear the tickling.

Both Yugo and Sonny had been going around discussing that for a while now, the phantom thief’s cheeks were already bright from laughing, but there wasn’t really a sign that it was going to be over soon.

Alban had already lost count of how many times he was asked things like “which one tickles the most” or “who is better at tickling”. If that competition was dragged any longer, he was sure he was going to be the one losing it.

“Of course it is, Sonny,” Yugo replied smugly, dragging his nails over the boy’s heel repeatedly, making him squeal, “look how hard he laughs when I do this~”

“No, I’m pretty sure it tickles more when I tickle him here,” the soldier argued, wiggling his fingers under Alban’s toes, drawing louder giggles out of their subject.

“NooHOHoh, gahAHa- g-guhuys!! EHehaha, stohOHohop it!” Alban could feel tears of mirth forming on the corner of his eyes and some small drops rolling down his face. Both of them were driving him up the walls with the mixed motions and making his mind go blank with the ticklish feeling.

“So, Alban, could you have us solve this question,” Yugo smiled, turning his head back slightly to have a better look at his friend.

“Who is better at tickling you? Me or Yugo?” Sonny continued without hesitating a second while both of them started easing up the tickling to let the other answer properly.

Alban kept laying on his stomach, one arm wrapped around his torso as he slowly caught up his breath and looked over his shoulder, giggling as he could still feel the ticklish aftershocks on his body.

“B-both, ahah… you g-guys reheheally, ah… got me, heh…” The phantom thief’s sighed as his words were dragged out of his mouth

Yugo and Sonny looked at each other with a grin on their faces and, as Alban couldn’t feel his ankles being set free, that pinch of worry started growing on his heart along with the anticipation for a few lines that he had heard before that day.

“Hey, Sonny… I think we need to help him make up his mind… we can’t let our efforts in this competition be wasted into a tie, right?”

“Mhm, I agree. Maybe we should try some other spot now.” “H-hey, don’t I get a sahAHAY- WAHahait!!”

"No, I should be the one who thank you, for everything. Sponsoring you had guided Mitaka and me to many opportunities.” The man named Taka sat himself in front of ZEA Cornelia.

ZEA could only chuckle. “And without your sponsorship, I would not have been able to come this far. Truly, the funds you invested in me as an idol were of great help.”

"Then we're even?"

"Yeah, you're right."

Silence enveloped for a few moments. The scent of jasmine tea pervaded, making the silence not awkward but comforting.

"I can't believe this is all going to end," ZEA suddenly said, staring out the window.

ZEA and Taka decided to terminate their sponsorship cooperation after the automaton decided to deactivate her program and system. She felt that her system had been running for too long and she had to take a really long break.

Taka himself terminated his cooperation contract with ZEA not only because the automaton would deactivated herself. Taka Radjiman intended to quit and dissolve his company. Mitaka Solution has achieved their highest vision and now he has decided to step down from his position.

One thing that bothered him was how ZEA's memory records will probably be erased when she is deactivated. He didn't know how exactly, but his heart ached at the thought of how ZEA wouldn't remember him and all the memories she had when her system stopped working.

"Something bothering you?" ZEA asked, noticing how Taka kept staring at his teacup blankly.

Taka was silent for a while, trying to choose the right words to convey his worry. "Have you spoken to Hana?"

ZEA nodded, a small smile touching her lips. “This is a very difficult situation for the three of us, and this also doesn’t make it easy for her. I remember Mitaka also sponsored her. Will you still sponsor her after you dissolve your company?”

"I'm still thinking about that."

ZEA knew what Taka was worried about, so she smiled. Taka didn't want to look worried, he couldn't come up with the right question. “If you're worried, Taka,” the automaton started as she took a sip of her tea. “My memories will be retrieved and collected in a single chip after I'm deactivated. If my professor's assistant decides to reactivate my system, they can simply reboot my system using the memory module in that chip."

Taka's gesture showed that the tension was released from his body. “Thank goodness,” Taka whispered, barely audible to ZEA. “Talking about Professor Cornelia's assistant, how are they? I believe this was not an easy decision for them either.”

Once again, ZEA smiled resignedly. "It seems I have caused them pain."

ZEA stood silent as she entered the laboratory. Across from where she stood, she stared at your back which she recognized so well. You sat down there and looked down. Their condition got worse after I asked her to do that, the automaton thought to herself.

"ZEA, are you sure?"

"Of course, I am. I don't think I can use this system anymore. I just wish to be reunited with Professor once more…”

ZEA still remembered how shock, worries, and fear mixed into one on your face. But the decision she made was final.

"Come on now, [Y/N]," ZEA suddenly voiced her concern and approached you, making you flinch a little. But you didn't turn your face to her. "I think this is what the Professor means by 'Don't get too attached to what you're doing or you'll go mad.' Are you feeling mad because I'm leaving?"

“I finished the preparations … Including your the chip for your memory module and its copies.” You were changing the subject. You kept looking down, while your right hand engraved the letters on the paper to make a report.

“And about your question a few days ago, ZEA,” you continued. “I will probably be a full-time lecturer after this. So you don't have to worry about me."

ZEA remembered. She asked what you were going to do after she was gone. She didn't expect you to answer her question. But at least, she could now leave in peace. “I see. That's good to hear."

An uncomfortable silence enveloped both of you again. Only the voice of your pen hitting the paper was heard at that time. You were too focused on writing something. However, when ZEA saw tears started to fall onto your paper, she knew why you kept looking down. You were crying.

That was when ZEA's arms reached for you, turning you around to look at her. The automaton embraced you and you started to cry. “I have sinned to make you cry like this. I'm sorry for causing you such pain,” ZEA muttered softly, cradling your hair.

"That's not fair," you shakily mumbled. “I've been trying so hard not to cry…”

“[Y/N],” she called your name. “Impian tuk berubah~”

You gasped when ZEA suddenly sang very softly, cradling your hair. Meanwhile, ZEA smiled because she can finally calm your crying.

“Hapuskan keluh kesah~ Redam gelisah, walau tak mudah~ Mari melangkah~”

You fell silent in her embrace. In the end, you could only lean on the front of her body when she hugged you. You tried to calm your heart and stared blankly somewhere while listening to her singing.

“Berlari di bawah kilau cahaya ini… Tak berhenti walau malam kan berganti… Free yourself and be ready… Change the destiny, for our reverie…”

ZEA continued singing at a slower pace and with a softer rhythm, as if she were singing a lullaby.

“Shout out, conquer the night~”

ZEA sighed as she finished singing the song for you. You were still silent in her arms and ZEA was still cradling you.

You almost forgot that ZEA was booted as an idol automaton by your Professor. It was only natural that you and many people really like her singing voice. It was her charm, her identity.

“[Y/N]…” Once again, she called you. You could only hum to answer her. "Tomorrow will be my last day, do you mind spending my final time with me?"

"What about others?" you asked, talking about all her friends she made during her active lifespan.

ZEA chuckled. "I've already said enough goodbye to them." She looked at you with her signature smile. "So, your answer?"

"What will Professor think if I say no, ZEA?" you asked knowingly.

"Uh... he'll be mad at you?"

“Exactly.”

ZEA seemed very excited. Because when she woke up in the morning, she immediately got ready and pulled you out of your bed. Seeing how excited she was, you smiled and could only comply.

From the sunrise to the sunset, you and ZEA visited many places in the city. It all started from the venue where she debuted. You still remember how it was only you who could see how nervous ZEA was at that time. She was professional, indeed.

You and ZEA also visited some of the dating spots you've been to. Some of them bring blushes back to your cheeks because of romantic memories and some of them bring laughter because of funny memories.

After that, ZEA asked you to take her to the post office. She intended to send her last letters to his friends. Seeing how many letters she wanted to send, you couldn’t tell when she wrote them all.

And the last place you visited before returning to the laboratory is the flyover, a place that may be ordinary to many people but very special for both of you.

With the sun just setting, you and ZEA gazed at the city cladded in colorful lights from above the flyover. You two just stood there in silence, enjoying each other's company.

"[Y/N], do you remember the first time Professor brought us here?" ZEA asked so suddenly without looking at you, breaking the silence.

"Of course, I do. It was right a few days after the Professor activated your system. I still remember how you got too excited when you saw the city lights,” you answered. You looked at her who was still looking at the city. “ZEA,” you called. “As expected…”

“Huh? What?” ZEA turned to you when she heard your sentence. "What do you expect?"

“That same euphoria is still dancing in your eyes. You have the same expression as when the Professor brought us here the first time.” But after saying that, you widen your eyes in surprise. “ZEA…?”

"Ah, what's wrong with me?" she said with a crack voice. Her hands hastily and carelessly wiped the tears that kept rolling down her cheeks. "What is this? I promised myself I wouldn't cry."

A faint smile suddenly touched your lips. “Now, now, shouldn't I be the one crying? I'm the one you're leaving, you know." You pulled ZEA in a hug and let her cry on your chest.

To be honest, the concept of “perfect human” has always frightened you. You once thought your Professor was crazy because of that concept he idealized. But after he created ZEA, you began to questioning yourself. Where that fear came from actually?

Was it because the automatons could feel human feelings as well like a normal human? You don't know, and probably never will. That would be an unanswered question forever.

“ZEA…” you called her name.

"Yes?" A sob escaped along with an answer.

“Were you happy during your active time?”

The automaton nods in your arms. "I am very happy."

"Is there anything you regret?"

Now she shook her head. "There's nothing I regret."

"A million dollars question. Are you scared, though?"

ZEA's grip on the front of your clothes was getting stronger. "I am very scared. I'm afraid to be deactivated!”

You pulled yourself from the hug and looked straight into her ocean blue eyes, a smile on your lips. "Then, it's enough. The perfect human concept that the Professor created was a success. Happiness, regret, and fear, those are human emotions and you can feel them too perfectly. I’m sure Prof will be so happy.”

You wiped her tears gently. “ZEA, you should know this too. I’m really glad that I could be both your supervisor and partner.”

You joined your forehead with hers. she cried again in your arms.

At this moment, you will ask, what will happen to you after ZEA falls into her eternal sleep? What will happen to you after you woke up from this dream?

After returning to the laboratory, you immediately had check up session on her for one last time. After making sure there were no defects on her system, ZEA immediately stepped into her artificial tube.

Before you close the tube, you hold her hand tightly. ZEA could feel how your hands were shaking. The automaton tightened her grip on your hand, making you look up at her.

Her blue jewel eyes shone in the dim light of the laboratory. With a smile on her face, ZEA nodded, reassuring you that everything will be fine. She was assuring you that you need not to be afraid and doubt what you will do.

ZEA leaned to your ear and whispered softly, "Let's meet again in the future, with a new system and program, but the same memory."

That was enough to convince you. You nodded and kissed her cheek and forehead one last time. You didn’t care about how your heart beating painfully.

It was a golden hour for an automaton and her supervisor lover.

A farewell with a smile was what you and ZEA really wanted. Therefore, no matter how painful it is, you smiled gently at her. You let go of her hand and closed the artificial tube.

"After I finish collecting your memories in the chip and make its copies, I will immediately send it to the people you ask," you informed her. ZEA nodded and thanked you.

“Thank you, ZEA…” you murmured, your palm touching the glass tube.

ZEA shook her head slowly and smiled. “No, [Y/N]. Thank you."

The automaton was resting herself and waiting for you to start progressing. She took a deep breath... for the last time.

You didn’t want to live with doubts and regrets. As soon as you saw the option to start the process, you immediately pressed the screen to start the option.

Shutting down ZEA.exe...

Restoring ZEA.exe to factory set: Progress begins…

Your breath hitched. The serene smile on her face made your heart ached. You stared at her who were sleeping in the artificial tube.

The beeping sound from your device was deafening and painful. You opened your eyes, realizing that the process of deactivating ZEA Cornelia had been completed. Without you knowing it, tears were sliding down your cheeks again.

You let go of the pain that you have been holding back for almost a month since ZEA told you her wish of being deactivated. You cried out loud in front of the artificial tube where ZEA's physical model was soundly asleep.

Successfully retrieved ZEA.exe memories module…

The sound of the device came back, making you flinch from your lamentation. You were silent for a moment, looking in the direction where you came from. That was when you remember one of the things ZEA wanted you to do.

Staggering, you got up and immediately pressed the "copy" option on your device. You made several copies of the module for you to share with ZEA's closest friends.

But when you analyzed every data in the module, one data caught your attention. You opened the data only to be surprised and start crying again.

“[Y/N], I'm happy to be with you until the end. Thank you, I love you very much."

It was the last bit in ZEA Cornelia's memory before you started the deactivation process.

Your forehead and palm touched the glass of the artificial tube. Even with tears flowing, you smiled. "I'm so glad I met you, ZEA. In the far future, we will be reunited.”

Taka stood by the glass window of his office with several papers of letter in hand. He gritted his teeth, trying to suppress his own feelings. His heart suddenly throb painfully. He didn't want to cry because basically he would also follow the sender of the letter soon. But sadness, anger, and worry still eat away at his heart.

On his desk, his device played some records of someone's point of view. The chip that was sent not long after the letter arrived played up memories of its owner. Taka have already watched some of the memories, but he was not strong enough to watch them all at once. He would end up spending almost 4 years watching all of it.

"Get my car ready," he ordered his assistant. Taka put the letter back in the envelope and took out the chip he was playing from his device. He grabbed his suit jacket.

"If I may ask, where are you going, sir?" the assistant asked.

"I have to go to Hana's place. I have to make sure she doesn't do anything stupid and is okay." -----[FIN].

Maybe it’s just me, but a minor gripe I kinda have is that because of RE2R a lot of fans are calling Ada a mercenary now because the US localization team used that instead of a Spy. When you play the game in Japanese, you don't even need to know the language to hear Anette clearly calling her a Spy. And Annette claims the virus is going to the highest bidder without actually knowing, but assuming they kept certain story beats the same, Ada was hired & got the sample on Weser's orders, she wasn't getting it to sell it to whoever would pay her the most. I'm thinking the localization team changed it because they thought it didn't sound as good, or they didn't think the western audience would take the term seriously? It's so funny to me that I’ve seen people will say in RE4 & RE4R Leon is like James Bond when it's actually Ada who's Capcom's James Bond, like the little end credit sequence you get after beating Assignment Ada, and the Jazz music she gets is so unsubtle about it too lol was glad that every time Ada showed up on screen in RE4R you could hear the slight Jazz music playing in the background, I wonder what they're going to deliver with her DLC and if she will still get that end movie sequence, since they cut out so much of her, I'm expecting a lot!

Also, with all the differences with the localization, I’m really curious to see an actual translation of the Japanese script, there was a random clip on YT that was recommended to me of a Japanese Vtuber that someone translated of them reacting to the bridge scene, and there were some minor differences, one being where when Ada is about to fall, they had Ada telling Leon to “live on” instead of “take care of yourself”, I can’t confirm this since I can’t read Japanese but even that makes me view the scene a but differently now.

yes actually thank you for pointing this out, because apparently the japanese script of re4r characterizes leon and ada (somewhat) completely differently. a lot of phrases are translated into harsher meanings in the english version whereas the japanese ones are interpreted much softer.

i understand the reason why the us localization team used mercenary as it's less "campy" as spy. but at the same time, i feel as though people took annette's words as truth even though she was just theorizing that that was what ada was doing. i think the fact that with re4r, they were PAINFULLY obvious about what ada was doing/saying was to help the audiences who don't pay attention to realize what her intentions are.

i agree though, ada is much more a spy than leon ever was. it's unfortunate that assignment ada was never canon, and it's probably not going to be remade. but i really want to enjoy all of what they give for separate ways honestly i think the best way is to just find a japanese version of the gameplay with proper translations into english that aren't just subtitles of the english script.

it really seems as though a lot of key changes were made in the script that does drastically change perspectives, especially with aeon. and specifically with leon calling ada "heartless" in the english version whereas he never said that in the japanese version. and i think i'm mostly praising the japanese version most as it's the first one.

all of the resident evil games are written with a japanese script and then changed into english afterwards. there are going to be lots of phrases and sayings that are lost because of it.

Uki and Ren are doing irl Collab! The two have done a meet up, and are looking forward to this stream. The chat is zooming with heartfelt messages. And silly messages. And what ever you may think of.

"I think it's time to properly begin Ren!" Uki happily announced to Ren. Ren making happy squeals. Uki giggled at Ren's little squeals.

"hello, chat. How are we all doing today?" Ren asked his wholesome chat. "Ahhh, you all are having a good time! I'm pleased to hear it!"

"Ren you forgot about me!!!" Uki poked Ren's side. Uki made a small squeak.

"Uki I didn't forgETEHE- I was about to say you're here too!" Ren replied to Uki a warm pink blush appearing on his face.

Uki mesmerised by Ren's adorable reaction, he kept it in mind.

"Haha, what ever you say, Ren" Uki smugly replied Ren playfully rolled his eyes.

"As you have probably has known from the tweet, I have said we will be doing a little challenge." Ren giggled. "We're going to see if we can beat Minecraft together!"

"I can already tell this is going to go wrong " Uki teased Ren.

"SHUT UP!" Ren said playfully amused. "also, L + ratio"

Uki pretended to gasp. And nudged Ren.

As the two was in the game, reading chat. Uki was on the ASWD keys and Ren was doing the mouse.

"UKKKKKIIIIIIIII STOHOHOHOP GET- TURN AROUND!!!" Ren loudly said, Uki crackled.

"HUHUHUH? I AM DOHOHOING THE TUHUHURNING! IDIOT- YOU MOVE YOUR MOHOHOUSE!" Uki replidd back with laughter.

It was night time in the Game, and a creeper was behind them. Ren took an opportunity and did the annoying thing ever. He faced the creeper.. BOOM!

The "you died" screen showed up. And Ren boomed with laughter, Uki coukt help but smile at him. Too adorable..

A supa appeared on the screen, and Ren was too busy laughing to see it. Uki saw, the supa.

"A Ren and Uki collab?! Ren laughing is too cute. That sound from earlier which Ren made sounded like a squeal. Did you tickle hiim? If you did could you do it again?! Thank youuuuuu!"

Uki's model smiled whilst reading the supa and nodded. And proceeded to tickle Ren's tum. Ren laughed surprised.

"what the UHUHUHUKI?!?! AHAHAHAHAH NAHAHAHA!!" Ren laughed squirming in his chair. "WHAHAHAHAT??"

"Ehehe, Someone donated a supa asking me to tickle you" Uki replidd enjoying this, Ren looks like he was enjoying the tickly affection.

"SOHOHOHO EMBAHAHARSING!!" Ren laughd, blushing.

"Eehehahah" Uki giggled. "You're so red! Like a tomato!"

Ren got even more embarrassed. "Shuhuhut ihihihihit ihihihi'm NOHOHOHOT a tohohohomatohoho! SHUHUHUSH CHAHAHHAHAHT!"

"oh what's chat sayin?" Uki asked teasingly looking chat chat. "awww I agree too, Ren is a little cutie"

This made Ren laughing more. Ike, Alanyan, Sonny, and Luca joined the VC the two was in.

"AWWWWW SOOO CUTEEEEEE!" Ike cooed. He was being honest after all.

"Sooooo adorable" Luca also said.

"AWWWWWW, get him Uki!" Alban said to Uki encouraging.

"Uki Uki daisuki, Ren your laugh is so contagious, and cute!!" Sonny said in a cute way to make Ren even more flustered.

Which indeed made Ren flustered.

"NOHOHOHOHO YOHOHOHOU GUHUHUHUYS AHAHAHAHA-" He couldn't finish his sentence as Uki's. fingers travelled to his neck. "nOHOHOHO Uhuhuhuhuki!"

"Nah, I'll stay here. I like it!" Uki said poking his neck and squeezing it gently.

"UHUHUHUHUKI NOHOHOHO!" Ren said laughing, "trying" to fight back.

"Stahahahahp!!!" Ren giggled. Uki did stop and give Ren little raspberries, which drove Ren a little bit crazy. "EEHHEHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHA!!!"

"AWWWWWW!!!" The 5 said in unison.

Chat was having the time of their lives. Ren being tickled was so cute to them, hearing Ren laugh like a child is very sweet to hear. Uki patted Ren's neck to get the ghost tickles away. And the two hugged.

Luca, Sonny, Alban, and Ike was smiling so much.

"Well I guess chat this stream is gonna be fun!" uki said and grinned.

"hahaha, yea" Ren giggled replying back.

a few (a lot) headcannons for my brother Levi :D

1.neurodivergent as hell, he hasn’t been diagnosed with what he has (does not want to feel weak in front of his family). He has definitely done those “do you have this ____” quizzes on buzzFeed.

2. if you mention a anime or manga you like he will immediately go get the manga or find a way to stream the anime. He will binge it all in one sitting so you can have someone to talk to about this anime/manga and so he can know what you are talking about. (He does the same thing for video games)

3.he would love if you seem interested in what he actually talks about and his special interests.Honestly he is so cute about it the he gets so happy about a book/manga/video game/anime.

4.he stims a lot when he is around things he likes, he does audio and physical stims. His audio ones are usually a phrase from a show he likes or just random gibberish. His physical ones include kicking his legs, hand flaps, waging his tail around, jumping up & down, and rocking back & forth.

5. He sleeps in a bathtub for a couple of reasons; one he kept knocking down the slats on his bed, two he fell asleep sometimes only with his head on the bed, three he feels more comfortable sleeping in a bathtub than on a bed (he can’t roll out of bed)

6. Has very severe social anxiety in person but online all of his anxiety melts away. He has a lot of online friends who he loves dearly, he also has a account on tumblr (he seems like he would use tumblr).

7. He is very queer in my opinion very much so. I feel like with his family he uses he/him pronouns and is out as pan (is actually Omni) to them. In actuality he uses he/it/they pronouns also uses neos cause he thinks they are cool, he’s Omnisexual and uses xenogenders (he likes that he express his gender in another way than just male or female). He’s out to his online friends and a a close friend (me) in real life

8.he really likes Vocaloid songs and songs by VTubers, he thinks they are cool and sound really good.

9. Cross-dresses for fun & cosplays, he likes how he looks in dresses and feminine clothing. When in his room he likes to wear cute clothes and if he’s on a call with friends his friends usually complement him on them. He does not want asmo hearing about his cross-dressing habit or he is going to be dragged out for a long makeup and clothing shopping trip.

10. He has insomnia and too cope with that he binges anime and plays video games pretty much all night. If you can’t sleep (or have insomnia like me) he invites you to do these binges with him and it’s basically a bonding activity for him.

11. chronic pain issues and he won’t tell anyone because whenever someone in his family gets sick or injured Lucifer & the others go into basically a overbearing mother mode. Pain medicine has become his best friend at this point as well as his heating pad.

12. wants a blåhaj deeply but doesn’t want to ask for one & he doesn’t know how to get one. Please just get him one for a surprise you will be his favorite person for life if you do.

13. I feel like in the celestial realm he was female but felt male (trans :D) , he could never express his feelings do to feeling scared that he might be cast away. He liked typically male stuff as a child and was yelled at by some angels because he was doing in feminine things. After falling into devildom he started transitioning.

14. Very touch oriented if you accidentally fall asleep on him then he is not moving from that spot till you wake up. He also really loves cuddles so for love of everything he needs them so give him them.

15. He really likes plushies a lot, he has a lot of them in his room. Has also learned how to make plushies in case the one he wants is too damn expensive or a character he likes doesn’t have a plushie. He cuddles with his plushies a lot and if he goes out of his room except to see him with a plushie.
