We need to talk about the most important thing yet, what their favorite Junk food? And I mean the family...

For this ask, we gotta head back into the modern Jake Sully wheelchair au.

Jake and Neytiri are health freaks.

I've said before, they like to do all sorts of things. Before they had children they were spontaneous backpackers and thrill seekers, attempting to do the most all the time. It was like all about proving to everyone (and also Jake) that he could still do anything anyone else could, but also about Neytiri getting out and seeing the world instead of being stuck at home.

That being said, Jake can really fuck up a bag of cape cod potato chips. Not as unhealthy as other junk food, and so classic American.

Neytiri is one of those bastards that gets raisins as a treat for the movies. Nature's candy and all that. She has a weakness for chocolate though, specifically those lindor ones with the soft insides. She'll only ever have like one or two, and one time Jake bought her chocolate covered raisins and almonds and it was over. If those are in the house she will sniff them out like a bloodhound.

Neteyam likes takis, because he is cultured and has taste.

Kiri is also a chocolate covered almonds person, but she also really likes hot cheetos.

Lo'ak threw up in the car once after eating a fuck ton of hot cheetos, and now he can't even look at them without getting nauseous. It's half the reason Kiri likes hot cheetos. In retaliation, he likes those absolutely disgusting beef jerky sticks, because Kiri is a vegetarian and the smell makes her loose her hot cheeto appetite.

Spider is regular and doesn't base his favorites around the hatred of his siblings. He just also likes takis, but has to compete with Neteyam subtly by only eating the blue heat ones. Neteyam is weak for liking the regular ones better.

Tuk likes almost all junk food, but she is particularly fond of marshmallows burnt to an almost inedible crisp. Lo'ak makes them best.

Mo'at and Sylwanin think Neytiri is not fully appreciating the fun that is junk food. This is a battle Sylwanin fights daily, as Tsu'tey is also a raisin man. He and Neytiri could hold seminars on the destructive junk food industry. That being said, he prefers a dried mango strip to raisins any day. Dried apricots? He goes crazy. His guilty pleasure is definitely the occasional sugary cocktail though. Jake, Tsu'tey, and Eytukan could DEMOLISH some boxed wine, they could get absolutely smashed on only Sex on the Beaches. Margaritas, Dirty Shirleys, Sangria, any super colorful ladies drink: that is their shit. If it has little squares of fruit and a tiny umbrella in it, the night is going sideways.

Mo'at is partial to those little chocolate nut clusters, you know the ones. Those really delicious ones. She also is one of those grandmas with bowls full of candy all over the house, and is constantly popping tictacs.

Sylwanin (who prefers a strong whiskey, or maybe a shot of fireball, to a sugary cocktail) enjoys sour patch kids. She is more of a sour person than a sweet one. Jake has said this before, and she tipped him from his chair into the pool. Neytiri didn't speak to her for the rest of the day because he could've not been ready and been hurt, but Jake laughed so hard pool water came out his nose.

Eytukan likes those little chocolate peppermint candies, the Andes ones. He has the best taste of all, I'm telling you.

okay so I have synesthesia and I thought you would find it interesting what some of the cathedralcats taste/smell like to me: splint tastes like really strong, spicy cinnamon candy, moth smells like burnt sugar, dawn tastes like bananas foster, smokey smells very subtlety of wet dirt, thorn tastes like metal/blood, honey tastes like chocolate milk, mallow smells kindawaxy, flyn tastes like mint icecream, bourbon smells like soap, and whiskey smells like vanilla. rook has no scent or taste sadly.

VP and Ice Cream

Chamber is a vanilla BEAN ice cream man, bonus points if it has some kind of nut or actual fruit in it. He is a caramel drizzle drama king.

Sage likes Mint Chooclate chip, Rocky Road and a bit of Gelato (doesn’t matter the flavor. She likes whip cream as a topping, cocoa powder as another.

Raze takes me as a coffee ice cream person, she found a place that makes their own soft serve coffee ice cream. She’s a no toppings kind of gal, just wants to enjoy the beautiful taste of the coffee.

Yoru is a chocolate lover, he’d never tell anyone, anything triple chocolate he’ll get, toppings? You guessed it, chocolate drizzle, some frozen strawberries, raspberries as well. Don’t even THINK about asking if there’s anything other than chocolate on his list.

KJ is an icie kinda gal, the ice pops, Talenti brand for her assorted fruitie frozen desserts. Mango is her favorite and strawberry is a close second. Yeah this isn’t ice cream, but it’s a frozen treat and that’s what counts.

Brimstone is a man that looooves the strawberry part in a Neapolitan ice cream container, he also has Raze get him strawberry ice cream when she goes to get her coffee one. He likes light chocolate drizzle, doesn’t want it to over power the strawberry. From Wendy’s, strawberry Frost LARGE for the Stone.

Jett, Jett is the kinda gal that loooves brownies in her ice cream, she’ll get a cookie dough and crumple up a brownie for an added “yum” to the treat. She also likes to have her ice cream a little melted so it soaks into that brownie juuuust right.

Skye loves her some Candy Bar ice cream, a little bit of everything just hits her sweet tooth just right. She also likes to add candy bar to just normal vanilla ice cream.

Neon? Neon is the gal that dunks fries and nuggets into her milkshake. Doesn’t matter the flavor, it’ll happen and you can say nothing about it cause it’ll make her dunk harder and give you more eye contact. Her favorite flavor of all though is a strawberry vanilla swirl(or what I’m calling and pink and white. Cause a black and white is Vanilla and chocolate so why not?)

Viper, Viper just likes Yogurt, any and all flavor. I know it’s not ice cream. But are you gonna try and argue with Viper? Cause I’m sure as hell not. Her favorites are the ones that come with toppings.

Fade likes Gelato the most, orange and kiwi if they had it. She’s found some starfruit ones and has fallen in love.

Cypher’s favorite ice cream reminds him of his family, it gives him the good times before his life went to hell. A nice Burnt Honey ice cream, ice creams cold I get it, but it gives our baby a warmth that he misses til this day.

Reyna, Reyna is a Frozen Yogurt Gal. She likes to get the mango one for a hot summer day with some different flavored mochi, some chocolate covered pretzels and some almonds. Besides a hot day, she likes the peanut butter kind with chocolate covered almonds, kiwis and pieces of strawberries. And yeah you /will/ spoon feed her. -Management

Astra loves caramel peanut butter chocolate ice cream. She likes to add her own nuts, hazelnuts, almonds and cashews to the mix.

Phoenix is an ice cream sandwich kind guy. Sometimes chocolate on chocolate, or chocolate with cookies and cream. Either way, if it’s in a sandwich he’ll eat it.

Breach is the man that likes the fruit pops with the chimoy. He likes his fruit spicy. I know it’s not ice cream.

Sova, Sova likes a crème brûlée flavored ice cream. So push it further a dark chocolate drizzle, a couple of raspberries.

There were days when everything was great. It felt like nothing could go wrong, and the sun was shining everywhere he looked. Then there were the bad days. Finn hated those. They felt never ending and the shadows creeped in on him, seeming to choke the life out of him from the moment he woke up.

Today was one of those bad days.

Logan and Leo had been out all day, doing some shopping for the house and grabbing lunch. They had asked Finn to come along but he had told them to go on without him. He could feel that it was a bad day and didn’t want to bring them down as well.

After they had left, he made his way back to their bedroom, burrowing into the sheets that still smelled of them. Usually the bed alone helped. Not today though. 

Pushing the sheets off of his body, Finn got up and grabbed his favorite hoodie from the living room. Leo’s Saints hoodie. It was so warm and cozy, and Leo always wore it so it smelled just like him. Perfect. He quickly pulled it on, the sleeves falling past his fingertips.

Just the feeling of the fabric on his skin made him feel a bit better. Deciding it was comfort day, Finn went and grabbed his favorite ice cream from the freezer. Mint Chocolate Chip.

Finn crawled back into their bed, pulling the blankets around him as he started in on the ice cream. This had always been his favorite, even when he was a kid.  Alex had found him once on a bad day and had wrapped him up in a blanket burrito, then they both just sat and ate ice cream. He didn’t even question him, just sat next to him. It was nice.

For now, he’d just have to have his boy’s scents. He turned on Criminal Minds, starting it from the beginning. Spencer Reid would comfort him for the time being. 

As he got to the fifth episode, Finn heard the front door open and the voices of his boys filled the house. Setting aside the now empty container of ice cream, Finn pulled the blankets closer to his chest. 

“Fuck, it’s cold in here. Where’d my hoodie go?” He heard Leo ask before yelling up to where Finn was, “Finn, have you seen my hoodie?”

Finn pulled the sleeves farther over his knuckles before he answered, “Noooo.” His voice rasped with disuse.

There was a pause before Leo’s voice came from outside the closed door, “You’re wearing it, aren’t you?” He asked.

“Maybe..” Finn mumbled, sinking further into the blankets. He didn’t really want to give the hoodie up, but if he could have his boys instead. 

The door was pushed open and Leo popped his head in, his eyes flickering between the empty ice cream and Finn’s blanket pile, “Sweetheart…” 

Finn shook his head, “‘m fine. It’s fine.”  He said as he sat up. Leo climbed into the bed, sprawling carefully over Finn’s legs.

“Why didn’t you call us? We would’ve come home early, you know.” Leo murmured, pressing his face into Finn’s stomach. 

Running his fingers gently through blonde waves, Finn let out a soft sigh, “No, I didn’t want to ruin your day. I’m alright, I had my ice cream and I had my Spencer Reid.”

Logan walked in, hands on his hips, “Cuddling? And I wasn’t invited?” He pouted. 

Finn smiled, his heart already feeling lighter now that his boys were here. He reached out, making grabby hands towards his other boyfriend, “C’mere, Lo, you’re always invited for cuddles.”

Logan crawled in, flopping onto top of Leo, who let out a loud grunt as the full weight of a hockey player landed on his back. Leaning forward, Logan pressed a kiss to Finn’s lips, “Mmm, minty fresh. Missed you, Harz.”

His boys were a heavy weight on his legs but it felt as though an even bigger weight was lifted off his shoulders. A warm feeling spread across his body as he wrapped his arms around both boys, “Missed you more. But Spencer kept me company.”

Logan’s head picked up from where he had rested it, almost whacking Finn in the face, “Who the fuck is Spencer?”

Ooo good question. My vintage thrifted items have a special place in my heart. I have this brown double layered vintage suede jacket which I looove. Also my sweet neighbor back in FL gave me a whole bunch of colorful (also expensive) clothing she didn't use anymore a couple weeks ago, which were so so cute. I wish I took a photo of it.
