This episode frustrated me how dare they say that about she she sees him more then he sees himself and how she’s different no that’s not what was shown. What was shown is that she’s not into him at all for the person she’s into him cause he died. I really truly hope buck wakes up quickly and realizes this relationship is going to go nowhere. She doesn’t care about him and the writers want us to seriously think she’s a viable love interest nope sorry not working.

love I am saying this with all the kindness in my heart (like, genuinely, it sounds like most of your disappointment and frustration might be self-inflicted!), but you literally answered your own question here - it is not working and she is not what buck is trying to make himself believe she is to him and that IS THE POINT and the writers are making that point on purpose

I do not know why you (and so many others) are so convinced that everything buddie happens on accident and that the relationships with the various love interests are trainwrecks on accident as well, like, they are telling a story here, and it is not a straight (haha xD) line from point A to point B, it's a winding path with dead ends and wrong turns and obstacles like in real life, which I personally think is a way better and more intersting story <3 and that means trying things and failing, which includes relationships that aren't endgame, but which are an important opportunity for you to learn something about yourself and what you want from a relationship and who you want to BE in a relationship

and so these relationships feel off because they are SUPPOSED to! if they wanted you to actually like and get on board with a love interest, they WOULD get you there, I promise you, the way they are handling the relationships of madney, bathena, henren and even more background couples like david and michael and toni and clive and even sue and her husband and couples on calls like the amnesia couple in 5x18 or the lesbians from 5x9 or mitchell and thomas from waaay back in 2x8 for example should tell you that they absolutely know exactly how to write healthy and beautiful and lovely relationships that feel right and satisfactory -like even for the background couples, with just a handful of scenes they got me so invested in those couples and I was rooting for them sooooo hard!!! so if they wanted us to feel that way about a buck or eddie LI, I am pretty sure they absolutely would do an amazing job convincing us (and would have started doing so waaay before this point in time if we are being honest xD), but they very much ARE NOT, BECAUSE THAT IS THE POINT, those relationships are not meant to be taken as endgame options and we are not supposed to be rooting for them and I promise your experience with this show is going to improve soooo so so much when you start trusting the writers on being able to tell you whether or not to get invested in a couple, because it will spare you so so so much anxiety, I really really promise!

also, side note, 'they' (as in 'the writers' I assume?) did not say anything at all, Buck said that she sees him, because he is an unreliable narrator and he is misunderstanding a MULTITUDE of things in very unhealthy ways at the moment, but that that doesn't make it true that she sees him in any way, shape or form, they are indeed literally showing IN THE SAME scene that what buck is saying is bullshit, because Eddie is the one who actually sees him and Buck is missing it (and they told us he WOULD miss the point this season, when in episode 1 he had that line about 'excellent options right under his nose' and 'like he is choosing not to see them'! buck is very much missing the obvious and reaching all the wrong conclusions!)

so yeah, to summarize - the relationship is feeling off on PURPOSE because that is the kind of story they are telling and if they wanted you to actually root for them, they would go about it very differently (which we know they can pull off!) and so I would recommend to have a little more faith in the writers and let yourself look at what they are really actually putting down instead of giving too much weight to bad faith conspiracy theories here on tumblr about how the writers are forcing buddie appart and trying to force us into believing in love interests that are very unsubtly and in text already heavily doomed!!!

so, i've been doing a random rewatch of 911, where I basically use a generator to select an episode number and i rewatch it... I though i'd rank the episodes I watched and give a quick opinion on them.

Today's rewatch includes:

Ep 66 - "Brawl in Cell Block 9-1-1"

Ep 13 - "Help Is Not Coming"

Ep 24 - "Broken"

Ep 13 - "Help Is Not Coming": On number three we have 2x03 not because it's bad but because the other two are sooooo good. I do have to say my girl hen shines in this one, and god that bit where she makes the vn saying bye to karen KILLS ME all the time. Also honorable mention to the bit where buck calls ali "abby" lmao OH MAN and also OFC another great bit is buck driving eddie to christopher's school and we get that wholesome hug between eddie and chris and buck watching at what's going to be his future familyyyy, i'm not crying again

OH, also, Bathena here kills meeeeee, when bobby calls athena and she picks up the phone saying "How's my man doing?" GODDDD THE THOUGHT OF ANGELA BASSET SAYING THAT TO ME OVER THE PHONEEEEEE, PETER KRAUSE YOU ARE STRONGER THAN ME! But also when bobby's like: "I need to see you, i'm at the front of your house" like ok ok we get it bobby you're a man in love <3 i'm in love with them

Ep 66 - "Brawl in Cell Block 9-1-1": On number two, one of the most rewatched 911 episodes i believe. This one's so good, but my favorite bits are of course 'pretty boy and the kid', getting to see more ravi getting involved in their emergencies and the last part where he goes to have breakfast with bobby, hen handling that surgery like the badass she is and eddie in distress when he's held hostage in the ambulance. Man what an episode! Honorable mention to bruised and stressed buck, he gets hit with the a gun, pushed to the floor and handcuffed, he thinks his partner was shot and he only gets a tiny bandaid in his forehead lol I LOVE HIM

Ep 24 - "Broken": My number one! I have to say i'm a sucker for the episodes where we see dispatch going out of their usual ways to help the people, and this one, where they have to handle everything manually because their system is down? oh man, it's just chef kiss! My favorite bits, aside from everything done in dispatch, was the pregnancy call, so emotional, so intense, we get invested hen and a millisecond of buck holding a tiny baby, eddie emotional as well and buck calling the whole bit where the simple act of a mother holding her baby SAVES HER LIFE, a MIRACLE! i'm crying once again! Also, eddie going all spiderman saving a kid from a fire, chimney helping his team even from afar and A SUDDEN barely there but super important reappearance of TOMMY, saving the day!!! that tommy's soooo cool *sighs*

Honorable mentions for broken: Madney breaking my heart over their shared trauma after the whole doug thing... and michael and bobby struggling with the issues of raising their kids as dad and stepdad. Love it, love them all, love this fucking show soooo much!

Now onto my next one, which is 3x06, aka Monsters

THE BUCKLEY-DIAZ SCENE. That was so fucking domestic, OH MY GOD. Buck saying “I’m the guy with the answers… I like that.” Me thinks this means Buck is figuring his shit out. 👀 So he’s that much closer to knowing he wants and can be with Eddie. 👀 Buck had SUCH heart eyes any time he looked at Eddie, although Eddie never saw them hmmm. Christopher thinks Buck can do anything, everything. That kid adores Buck (re: his other dad). 🥺

Please. Eddie and Buck were so husband shaped swindling (??) money out of their coworkers. 😆Eddie be like, “My husband can do math now… Huh, let’s see how WE can make money out of this 😘.”

The guy doing the haircuts? Did he even ask if the teenage girls wanted to be in his video? Idk, maybe they knew, but I didn’t dig that.

THE. POKER GAME. YEAH UM, EDDIE AND BUCK LOOKED SOOOOOO GOOD. Eddie joking about taking Buck’s newfound skills to Vegas. (and a surprise wedding hm?) The chief caught on real quick to Buck counting. 😆 Eddie had nothing but heart eyes for Buck. Buck can do math, and hat’s hot. 😏 No but seriously, Eddie was 🥰🥰🥰 at Buck the entire time.

Toni and Ramon are the only grandparents/parents that have rights. I said what I said.

The vibrator call. Drfghjkrtcfghvhuk PLEASE. Only Hen, Buck, and Eddie were there too? Seems… queer. 👀 And RIGHT WHEN Buck starts talking about previous women he’s been with, Eddie is all, “No. Buck, not now and frankly, never. Thanks.” 😆😆 Eddie doesn’t want to hear about, like, any women, I think when they pertain romantically to Buck or even himself. Goddddd Eddie is so gay hahahaha. And jealous. I loved this silly call. I love silly calls like this.

Yesss Karen. Ma’am. Idk y’all, just loved Karen this episode. And I appreciated the open but hard conversation Hen and Karen had with Denny’s dad.

Buck is Chris’s other dad!!! They were making cookies together!!!! We should all know this is to help the audience (especially the general audience) understand that Buck and Chris 1) have a relationship outside of Eddie, and 2) showing that Buck is another parent to Chris. And did y’all notice Chris wearing a shirt with skateboards on them? Yet another time Chris has worn a shirt like this to tie back into the big event of Buck and Eddie building a special skateboard for Chris in season 3.

So anyway I think Bathena remains the kinkiest couple. Shut upppp the “after their run” scene was cute.

We were FED with Buddie content this episode, I am LIVING. I’m also curious how after *gestures* all of that? How in the world is Eddie going on dates?? I’m not mad, I’m just hella curious. Is Eddie gonna go on dates really just to make Pepa happy or something? I’m intrigued how that will play out, like, beyond the dates not working out. Because hello? Again, Eddie and Buck were sooooo married in this episode.

So I’m ignoring a lot of what happened at the moment to focus solely on Bathena and how wonderful they were in this episode. We got so much that I was not expecting and I love Bobby and Athena endlessly. Also, was it just me or did I peep the cut Bobby/Chim scene in Bobby’s office in the promo? It looked like Chim was in the office and some of the dialogue seemed the same. I’m trying not to get my hopes up but I will riot if they teased us again only to cut it. Also, if Chim is working in Boston does that mean we get more Eli? Cause I love that for us.

Honestly I didn't even see the promo.

I mean I saw the promo, but after that scene where Edd*e throws Bobby's trauma in his face like that all I actually saw was red. So I didn't really see the promo.

I'll be SOOOOO happy tho if they flash back to that cut Bobby and Chim scene because I will forever be bitter they cut it and I NEED to see it!

And I'll definitely be surprised if Eli ISN'T in next week's episode, and very sad about it too. He's one of my favorite one-off character's this show has ever had. ❤️

And yeah Bathena were just... So Good this episode. They are just so in love with each other it hurts my heart and makes my soul soar all at the same time, and it's literally so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️

Currently Working on: well the final chapters of Bannerella is still in the works but after the 30K chapter, I needed a break. And I had a lot of feelings about the bisexual firefighters and their little family. Sooooo. Current project I have pulled up is a (ofc Buddie + Chris centric fic) Buck POV during 4x14 that digs into that trauma and extends the timeline a little more to build on the Bathena / Buddie parallels and make the medical aspect of Eddie’s gunshot wound more true to life because they drive me a little craycray with their medicine sometimesssss  and then I was planning on involving Eddie’s POV and recovery journey as well but he only just woke up lol and I’m already over 23K words

Omg babe!!!

Have you seen what oliver shared in his ig stories?? He literally posted buck and chris (that's OK, I guess), the firefam plus Maddie, but also a b*ddie edit 🤮 and it wouldn't be that bad had he literally not scrolled past a bucktaylor edit!! It was right there! Like.. it's sooooo disrespectful towards bucktaylor shippers, Taylor as character AND Megan! And it's not even the first time. He never promoted Taylor's storyline in 5a or shared anything related to bucktaylor when they literally said I love you to each other. I don't even wanna start on those awful ig stories he posted during the episode where they said I love you.. I know what he does and says doesn't affect the storyline but still. It makes me mad he feeds and emboldens the delusional b*ddies. He is so weird. Like when b*ddies were all over him he acted annoyed and was rude to them on Twitter and left Twitter because of them and now when they kinda left him alone it's like he's running after them being the biggest fangirl of their stupid ship!

Do you think he doesn't like buck and taylor together? Do you think maybe they're breaking up and he's emboldened to post this b*ddie bs and not promote bucktaylor at all?

Honestly? I'm really not sure what to tell you, anon.

Oliver is allowed to like whatever he wants and dislike whatever he wants. Maybe he loves b*ddie. Maybe he despises BuckTaylor. Maybe he's just messing with the fandom. Maybe he's just hoping for attention. Maybe it's one of a million other things.

All I know about Oliver is that he seems to be a really really weird person and he should probably get off of social media because his presence there is doing more harm than good.

But the fact remains, as much as he stirs up the fandom and creates unnecessary drama, he literally has no impact on the stories being told or the relationships being developed. If he was somebody like JLH who has enough star power to request certain things (like she did with Madney) or if he was Peter or Angela who are EP's that would be one thing.

But he is none of those things. And what's more he's literally the least experienced actor IN the show.

He has to do what he's told, whether he likes it or not.

Also it's not his job to promote anything. He's not promoting anything any more than I am on my blog. He's just (obviously) higher profile than any of us are, but is just posting stuff on his personal page.

So no, as I've said before up until we get an episode synopsis that says "Buck tries to move on after his relationship with Taylor ends" or until I actually watch the two of the go their separate ways I do not and will not think they are breaking up. Buck and Taylor are in a really really good place in their relationship, and they're literally following the same trend as Bathena and Madney did in regards to how their relationship is unfolding. I wouldn't worry about them if I was you... I'm certainly not.
