#Throwback No.83: Being a citizen of the Commonwealth and living in Australia for a number of years, I grew up largely influenced by the British. All my life, I’ve only known stamps, coin and pound with Queen Elizabeth’s side profile on it and the Royal Family was a visible part of pop culture where I live. I remembered how glued to the TV I was during Princess Diana’s funeral and having been to London several times, always recognize what i see on TV. The British lost Prince Philip today. <Swipe to see before and after> #Throwback No.82: There was this spot in Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown on Jalan Sultan that I love to photograph. It was a retro photo studio that processes film in an age where everything has since moved digital. And just like that, the shop has moved on and in its place, a trendy cafe @yewyewkl that now draws photographers and cafe hoppers alike, perhaps more than the previous photography shop could. Talk about irony. I remember that time when I had a moment inside the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican and was admiring the intricate art on its ceilings, the story of creation, sacrifice and redemption. I admit I teared a little seeing the story of God’s love and redemption of His people so vividly portrayed in almost lifelike form. #StuckatHome No.64: This is one of my favourite photos of my early days learning photography. An accidental capture of my sister chasing sheet on a farm in New Zealand. I had to take a photo of an actual photo print as I’ve lost the original negatives. Was still using film at the point and this was my very first long-haul trip and the one that ignited a photo bug. I remember triggering the wrath of my dad because I used up 13 rolls of film on that trip and all I get was reels of scenery, lol. Most times we just don’t venture beyond the marked path. It’s an unknown. It’s unmarked and in some cases, just downright dangerous.
