hello... 😅 uhm, first of all, i truly am sorry in advance for being awkward 😭 but for once i decided not to let my awkwardness keep me from sharing (what i think/hope are) positive thoughts with a stranger on the internet, so here i am.

i'm not around much and legit only made this acc bc like you i'm a late bloomer here and needed as many outlets for my yizhan/wangxian obsession as i could get my greedy hands on, in the big year of 2023... sigh. anyway, as an avid lover of meta/analysis posts since my early fandom days began around 15 (oof 🥲) years ago, finding your acc was such a lovely surprise. i agree with your views a LOT, and really appreciate how eloquent and well-written your posts are! even more so bc there's a lot i still don't know and most of the time the source material is very hard to reach and/or understand due to the language barrier, so having other turtles to rely on to access those, even if filtered by their own biases/opinions, is wonderful. besides, such input coming from a new fan is also comforting and imo refreshing, juxtaposed with that of older fans... it keeps the fandom alive and all that jazz. it's also very brave given how ruthless some folks can be on the internet, and on this corner in particular 😮‍💨 it just felt like reading my own thoughts written by someone else sometimes. i gasped and nodded at your posts soooo many times djskdjdj thank you for that!

(btw you followed me back the other day and i legit fangirled irl bc ??? whatttttt 😅 i still think it was an accident but okay omg djskdjdj AHEM. sorry)

then today i logged in and read your recent posts feeling squeamish about sharing more thoughts and as much as i 100% relate to you saying that kind of attention makes you anxious, i just... idk, i had to let you know i enjoy everything you post, even though adult life has kept me from being able to read it all so far. i understand you stepping back and i respect that decision, i'm not by any means asking you to go against what you know is best for you. at the same time, i can't help but hope you'll still show up every now and then bc your posts will be missed 🥲 i guess the whole motivation behind this is that it just made me sad to think your valuable insights will be something i'm yet again late to, if that makes sense?

Thank you for dropping into my inbox! I love hearing from other turtles, especially relative newbies, like myself! One of my fav parts of coming out of lurking mode is getting to talk to other people. I kinda follow back anybody who follows me, cause it seems polite? I don't know tumblr etiquette. I just follow the tags when I get the chance.

I appreciate the encouragement! I try to avoid dramatics, so I'm sorry for the upset last week. The situation is largely resolved, and I am feeling more okay. I kinda backed off because I wasn't sure of my footing here in fandom as compared to others, especially as I do think I have some takes that fall outside fandom consensus. Again, I don't mean to rock any boats and I'm not invested in convincing anybody that they should have the same opinions as I do. Hearing from turtles who do want me to continue posting gave me some more confidence there.

So, yeah, I expect I'll post some more as I have time. I'd like to post more on dd (cause he's my fav). I'd also like to try to figure out gg cause that dude is so confusing to me. I do have RL stuff going on, and I don't have the time to be super-active outside of occasional posts. But I'd like keep posting stuff. At least until I get all my Yizhan thoughts out.

I had such a cute dream last night about Sheldon and Amy and the cast lol it made me miss the fangirl life 😢 with all the problems in life I haven't been on tumblr in years and I've barely interacted with stuff from my favorite fandoms, I hadn't thought about my ships in a long time, but out of nowhere yesterday I dreamed that they were going to do a new series in the BBT universe and it was about their older lives and in my dream only Jim, Johnny and Simon agreed to come back to the show

in my dream I was watching the new episodes of this new series and Sheldon, in his 50's, was having lunch at the university with Howard and Leonard and they were talking about their wives and when Sheldon talked about Amy he always calls her "My Love" (ooc I know lol blame my brain! but It was so so cute tho😢)

I had the same feeling in the dream as I did years ago when I watched the episodes for the first time and fangirled about any little Shamy interaction/scenes, it was really crazy to feel that way after so many years without being in contact with anything from the ship (my life has really been complicated in the last few years lol)

Anyway, Mayim wouldn't return to play Amy and that made me angry in the dream another actress played Amy, there was a flashback scene after Sheldon calls Amy "My Love" and it was all their great moments on the OG series, it was as if my brain had made a fanvideo of them just for me😭

The things that our brains are capable of doing amazes me!!!

Even though Amy wasn't played by the same actress I still "had the feels" and the fact that they were happy in the future made me sooo happy, anyway it was great to feel all that again, it made me open tumblr after years, search their names and ship names in the tags (unfortunately there isn't much new stuff) made me want to do some edit of them, unfortunately I don't even remember how to gif and I don't even understand photo sizes on tumblr now. Tumblr has changed a lot since the last time I saw it, anyway, regardless of whether I'm going to post stuff about them or not, here are the scenes that my brain put together in my dream 🤧🥺️❤️️

I feel like a giggly fangirl asking this, but.... Do you have or have you considered a Discord server for CONverse or, hell, any of your writing? Next to a TDWRA server, I can't imagine anything better. ....now I'm imagining a TDWRA server and losing my mind...

I've not only considered it, but I have one and I'm kinda giggly-excited about it myself 😊

Right now the server is me and 3 friends who have helped me over the years with CON 'verse, but I've been planning on opening it up to readers when I post Part 4 of CON 'verse.

My friends recently helped me clean things up since we were posting very spoilery stuff for a while and I want to make the server safe for people who don't want to be spoiled while still allowing those who don't mind spoilers to find stuff that's interesting.

I've collected all the Sims 3 layout pics there as well as tons of info on the 'verse and everybody in it.

Everything's organized on it, and it's been a great resource for me too!

And as far as a TDWRA server, if there is one and no one has told me about it, they should be spanked! I need that in my life!!

If there isn't one, somebody should make one because YES PLEASE!!!

I haven't found any good spanking servers, for SPN or fandom in general or just plain spanking without fandom 😭

When Yahoo!Groups and Geocities went away, a lot almost all of the spanking places I used to hang out at, and I miss them SO BAD. LiveJournal was where I went to next, and well that kind of thing got kicked off, and from there I haven't been able to follow where everybody went.

I have a few fandom mutuals who are also really into spanking, but I'm always on the lookout for more places to enjoy it.

BEAST Atsushi

: ugh. something about how he is literally how Atsushi would be like if Atsushi was in the PM. There's just something that attracts me to him. Like most characters in BSD, he isn't evil and doesn't enjoy the things he does. He's deeply traumatized. He has a shy-kind personality but is placed in the PM where he's made to be a murderer. Interestingly, he isn't as obsessed with BEAST Dazai's approval as Akutagawa was with Canon Dazai (maybe bc Dazai liked Atsushi more? idk..) But BEAST Atsushi has sm going for him and I'm curious about his life after BEAST. I'd like to see more of it ❤️ (don't even get me started on the fanarts of BEAST Atsushi meeting lit. anyone in the Canon world).

2. Verlaine

: This bad boy can fit so much trauma inside him. What makes humans human? What makes him worthy of human dignity when he's just a bunch of codes? Honestly his thoughts and existential crisis is tragic. The fact that he wanted to raise chuuya in the countryside too 😭 and how he helped Chuuya save the world because deep down he knew one person who he thought deserved to live. How he hasn't moved on from said person. How he trains PM assasins to become weapons for the Port Mafia even though he's gone through the same thing. How he (both metaphorically and physically) isn't in the light because he's literally been rotting in a basement for 6 years. No friends. No family. Nothing outside that interests him. With no purpose other than teaching because Rimbaud used to teach too. No one in the mafia can reach him emotionally. He could be like BEAST Dazai tbh. I can see it. Except rimbaud is dead so Verlaine just decided to.. stay in a basement and rot. Someone bring him out of there please 😭😭

(also in another version of BSD I thought of in my head, I gave him a sort of backstory so that increased my personal attachment lol)

And speaking of the guy Verlaine misses...

3. Rimbaud

: This guy... has so much love to give. Idk much about his past but he was a government spy. As I've seen others mention, He may have had to abandon family members for his job. By the time he met Verlaine, he must have been so lonely that he decided to pour all his love into this one partner whom he intended to be with forever. So. Dang. Selfless. Got betrayed by Verlaine. Still went to hell and back for him. Also Verlaine disliked him while he was still alive so there must have been so many moments where he got hurt by Verlaine (like that one birthday gift 😭) but he still kept trying to be a good friend and doing everything to make Verlaine happy. Even when he got amnesia, Verlaine was the one thing he remembered. He didn't even expect Verlaine to apologize!!! Like?? Instead HE was the one who apologized for not understanding Verlaine. He held no grudges whatsoever. My gosh. That's true love right there. He gave Verlaine his all and expected nothing in return. Even when Verlaine betrayed him or didn't appreciate him or was mean to him, he cared sm. Even in his dying moments, his main concern was Verlaine. ouch.

Besides that, he's VERY cool. His ability slays (literally) and his long black hair is just 😫✨

Rimbaud should've picked me instead. I would've treated him much better than Verlaine did 🤭🙄 /j

4: Mori Ogai

OHHHH~ controversial character alert ‼️

Hehe alright. *cracks knuckles*

I initially didn't have much feelings for Mori. I thought he was a pedo and hated him as a villain (cause of how much of a threat he was and what he did to the characters) but I also didn't think about him a lot. And it was hard for me to grasp his character.

Thankfully though, the BSD fandom made me change my mind after a while 🤭

@the-boss-of-the-port-mafia made this amazing compilation of Mori analyses that made me appreciate him more.

also my tumblr bestie @plinko-mori helped me understand him <3

Long story short, tumblr made me realize 2 things:

a. Mori may not actually be a pedo

b. He's more emotional than he lets on

anyways onto my rambling abt Mori 😭

I like him. I think he's badass. He's giving anti-hero vibes ✨ and he's also tragic in a way because he's doing what he thinks is best for Yokohama and the PM even if he has to be ruthless about it. At heart, he has good intentions. He hates war. He hates needless violence (he disliked the previous bloodthirsty boss; suggested that his death would leave to even more violence during the guild arc; has not once been shown to enjoy committing violence for kicks and giggles; etc). He manipulated Yosano because he thought it was the optimal solution and would result in them winning. He planned Oda's death because again, it was the optimal solution and would result in the mafia winning + less casualties. If there's a conflict, Mori is the guy who will pick the fastest, most convenient solution even if it means getting his hands dirty. He'll always pick the lesser evil with no hesitation.

While characters like Fitzgerald/Dazai/Junichiro would sacrifice the world to save their loved ones, Mori would sacrifice his feelings/loved ones to save the world (not that he's extremely attached to anyone. this guy is very lonely lol. His face when he told Koyou that she could leave the PM and he wouldn't be able to do anything about it shows just how much he's resigned to losing people.)

That being said, it does hurt him when he loses people.

This post by @hina-has-no-life explains very well his regret towards Dazai and Yosano 😭

In BEAST, he didn't have to play the role of the mafia boss hence, he showed his softer sides and treated Atsushi like a son, even admitting that he regrets not being able to help Dazai.

so..yeah. There's something interesting about a villain who forces himself to ignore his emotions for the sake of doing 'the greater good.'

Yes, Mori is manipulative, makes millions from exploiting people via the PM, has done many bad things, will continue to do bad things --but he does have a heart (even if he constantly ignores it lol).

It's also worth mentioning that apparently the management in Yokohama is so bad, the Port Mafia (a literal criminal org) is the one responsible for keeping the crime rate in check (considering bsd Yokohama gets bombed like every month tho, Ig that checks out 😭)

Anywy. Mori. yeah, he's shades of grey (the darker side). Like Dazai, he can act like a silly uncle sometimes. His backstory is so cool with lots of potential.

From military doctor (holy hell. military doctors in history are usually involved in a LOT of shady things) to an underground doctor (uhm. how and why?) to finally, the boss of the Port Mafia.

so interesting. and so much potential.

The quote, "I must be cruel to be kind" suits him quite well.

About the mafia though - I do wonder what he does being filthy rich 🤭 besides the constant ignoring of emotions, I'm sure he must have some greed or ambition in there. That makes him even more nuanced imo.

and last but not the least:

hmm..

I hated Dazai at first cause I felt he was overrated. While watching the anime, I was annoyed that Dazai seemed to be able to solve everything and that no one could defeat him and that he was presented as this 'untouchable figure' of sorts. I'm like, 'WHY DOES HE KEEP WINNING' as if he's omniscient or something like a deus ex machina 😭

overtime, I grew to like him tho (mostly because of Oda LOL 😂)

BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT

his character is interesting (especially in the LNs. I think he's more nuanced in there than in the anime).

I like how he's clearly hiding his heart from everyone around him. He doesn't open up to anyone. Doesn't reveal his plans unless he deems it necessary. manipulates team mates in certain situations (ex: what he did to aku and atsushi). continues to act like a jerk (messes kunikida's plans for fun; belittles akutagawa, etc.)

He's a manipulative jerk with little empathy for strangers but he's trying to fight for the good side. he's trying to save people. he's trying to be better. (and he is actually being better).

Reminds me a lot like Jouno tbh haha.

he's also a little menace with a dark but goofy side to him.

In the BSD rewrite fic I have in my little head, I like to imagine PM Dazai as somewhat like Mahito from jjk. (In the sense that he's an absolute nightmate, truly the "Demon prodigy" whose "blood is blacker than the mafia" but who also has a very childish feel to him).

Ik it's implied that Dazai did in fact commit atrocities like killing innocent people, killing mafia suboordinates who were subpar, torturing people, etc. but I'd like to see more of that. I'd like to see PM Dazai actually hurting someone the audience cares for and being evil instead of it just being told to us by the narrator/other characters.

Like yes, we got bits of his 'evilness' in SB, Dark Era and BEAST but Ig I just want more of that on focus 🤭

like, don't just tell me 'His blood is blacker than the mafia.'

Make me FEEL chills from reading him; make me think, 'oh this kid is really a devil spawn. I hate him' before moving onto dark era and making me surprised that 'dang. i never thought i could feel bad for this dude.'

idk it's prob just a preference I have. 😅

Same with the PM too. I wish we got to see them doing more of their exploitative work to better understand it when characters describe them as 'the demons of Yokohama' or something along those lines. Cause from season 1-3 (of the anime), they kind of...felt less threatening? Season 4-5 was quite a ride though.

ANYWAY MOVING BACK TO DAZAI

The face of BSD. Mr. Bungou 🤭🤭 I think he's a very cool and interesting character. I want him to cry lol.

I want him to LOSE IT in the main manga before the series ends and see what happens.

RN, he's bottling up a lot and is using different masks. It would be interesting to see him being himself more.

Damn even I didn't know she is a Swiftie 💀 Taylor Swift's fandom has no bounds, I don't even like her but the girl is hella famous.

Even Sophie Turner is a Swiftie and TS dated Joe Jonas as well. Sophie actually once put Mr. Perfectly Fine (Taylor's version) on her insta story and tagged Joe 😭 gotta love Sansa Stark in real life 🤣

Plus, she was fangirling on Taylor when Red (TV) was released last year like she was copying her looks and shit. So the only demerit Sansa Stark has is that she is a Swiftie and the same goes for Miss Rowe, I honestly don't understand it lol

No, this wasn't supposed to be 10 Characters from the Flash who are my bbs but that's what you're getting, sorry. I WILL THROW HANDS FOR ANY OF THESE SWEET LITTLE BEANS. (But I hope I don't have to because I'm am soft and smol and if somebody hit me I would cry. 😭😜 )

In no particular order except for the last 2 because they are Like That just like I am. But all of my bbs are all precious to me. And counting backwards because Somebody wanted to be both number 1 AND the grand finale. ;)

10. Barry Allen

Barry often gets overlooked in my EXTREME REVERSE FLASH FANGIRLING but I do really love him, too. He’s always trying his best, even when he makes mistakes, and I believe he truly has a heart of gold. ILU, my sweet little bean. ♥

9. Nora West-Allen

I admit, I didn’t warm up to Nora right away but I blame the writing for that. For some reason, they leaned HARD on the whole “bumbling naive youngster who thinks she knows better than everybody” and “angry!teen super angry with her mom” tropes and I found that off-putting at first. However, I think if she would’ve had a chance to grow beyond that, she showed that she has a lot of heart, like her dad, and intelligence and compassion like her mom. I really would like to have seen her be a part of Team Flash after they moved beyond pushing those tropes on her so much. Once she was gone, I’ve really missed her. And that scene where she’s written out of the timeline never fails to break my heart. ☹ Poor bb bean. She deserved better. ♥

8. Eddie Thawne

Every time I rewatch s1, I remember how much I used to ship Eddie/Iris, lol. After Barry and Iris being married for so many years now, it seems strange to see her not with Barry but man, in s1 I was ALL about Eddie/Iris for me. 😉 Eddie is just this sweetheart, IMO. I always take exception when Eobard just verbally tries to crush him by telling him he’s useless, a worthless part of the Thawne line, etc. I have no idea why Eo thought he needed to just shatter his self-esteem like that! *swats Eo with a rolled up newspaper* ⚡ And then Eddie proved him wrong, he was selfless and brave enough to be willing to sacrifice his life just to stop him. Poor, sweet little bean. You were always worthy, bb. ♥

7. Jesse Wells

Jesse got a little bit of the same trope treatment that Nora did, IMO: “I know better than all of you despite the fact I have no experience and you do.” Luckily, though, she didn’t get as stuck in that as long as Nora did. Now, losing Harry was bad enough but losing Jesse in just some off-screen, “Oops, guess she was killed when Earth 2 was destroyed! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ” thing made me furious! We NEED to see that Jesse is okay somewhere out there. My little bean deserves better than some off-handed write-out. *nodnods* ♥

6. Sherloque Wells

I always found it so interesting that, where on the surface, Sherloque seems like he would be the Wells most guided by intelligence, deduction and reasoning, that Eobard said his greatest weakness would be love. That’s always been a character trope I love. Also, in a totally shallow note... Sherloque with the stubble and the longer hair is one of my faaaaaaaaaaavorite TomCav looks. *puts on my “I am looking respectfully” eyes 👀* Handsome bean! 😉

5. Nash Wells

Yes, I use this GIF for Nash A LOT. I MAKE NO EXCUSES FOR IT. Now, Nash is a bit of a raw subject here in s7. I had big plans for him in my head! I thought he and Frost could possibly be the first canon Snowells couple but, yet again, the Powers That Be just won’t Go There. 😐 Ending his story with the “Redemption only by death” trope was disappointing, to say the least. We could’ve seen that he had changed and was willing to sacrifice for his friends without it requiring him to be destroyed. But this list is all about love, so I’d better not get going to much on this point or I’ll have to get out my soap box and jump on it. *waves my I ♥ Nash flag* 😉 My handsome bean deserved better! ♥♥♥

4. HR Wells

I can’t look at HR without feeling the need to just hide him away from the Big Bad Writers, lol! I mean, they sacrificed him TWICE. This precious little bean... TWICE! If they want to come at him a third time, well, then they’re going to have to duck THESE HANDS RIGHT HERE. 🥊🥊 (I hope those boxing gloves belong to somebody who can use them, lol! 😉) ♥♥♥

3. Harry Wells

*wistful sigh* There’s a reason why Harry has his own tag on my blog: Harry my luff I think that on a superficial level, he reminds me the most of Eobard without all of the, you know, murder. Some of that seems to have been by design, we were supposed to think Eobard was back when we first saw him, right? And his gruffness seemed to reinforce that. But Harry does have a heart, though for a long while we only saw it in how much he loves Jesse, and “grumpy but with a heart” is yet ANOTHER of my fav tropes. Harry deserves better than what he got. I’m glad we got to see him via Nash for a while but Harry NEEDS to have his life back, somewhere safe with Jesse. And Caitlin. But that’s just my Snowharry shipper side talking. 😍 Harry is my luff and my tol grumpy bean. ♥♥♥

2. Caitlin Snow/Frost

Mah girls! Yes, I combined them both to conserve a spot on this list. 😜 Anyway, I’ve adored Caitlin since the start and once we knew we were getting a Killer Frost, I was a little concerned that we’d “lose” Caitlin. Granted, we’ve seen the show try out lots of different variations, sometimes Cait WAS Killer Frost, then they were separate but in one body, there was the villainous KF from Earth-2, I mean, we’ve been everywhere, lol! But through it all, I’ve loved every one of them, from villain to hero to separate to combined to now in 2 bodies. They’re both mah girls and I will love and protect my two precious little beans with all of the love in my little fangirl heart! ♥♥♥

Where were you in life when you first started watching AoS?

I was only 14, had been struggling all the way through middle school, and was about to go through the absolute hardest year of my whole life. I was in Austria at the time, with my whole family, visiting relatives. We stayed for three months and I was SO homesick (I live in the middle of Midwestern America, so the culture and area could not have been more different).

My brother and I started watching AoS on Netflix when we were still at home, right before season 2 came out, and we watched season 2 when we were overseas. It was my anchor for those three months-- something to remind me of home, and to distract me from my own mental health issues that were in full swing at the time. And even though my brother ditched after s2, my sister caught up quickly and fell as much in love with s3 as I did :)

Where are you now?

Finishing up my college degree and working a grown-up job lol :) I’ll be twenty in a couple weeks, and honestly . . . it’s crazy to think how much I’ve grown with these characters. Season 2 was rough (one of their weaker seasons, I’d say), but so was my life at the time I started. Then, as I got older and more confident, so did the show. (The writers and I have that in common-- loving beautiful parallels!)

What character development arc (or storyline in general) did you love the most?

Oh, definitely watching Fitz through the seasons!! Just his story of starting out as a nervous, awkward, (dare I say) arrogant, annoyed little scientist . . . and how he was so badly injured, but it didn’t stop him. He never lost his heart, his compassion, or his genius. He just kept going, loving his friends, never giving up. Even when the entire world was on his shoulders, and even when he broke (5x14, anyone??), because humans break, no one is perfect, and he had suffered so much trauma . . . But he stayed a good person. Just wanting to do the right thing, still just loving Jemma unconditionally and loving his team.

I love him so much, I am in awe of where they’ve taken his character (and I seriously can’t believe Iain and his acting. He has consistently blown me away since day one).

What will you miss the most?

The show and characters aside, I am seriously going to miss the fandom’s weekly freakouts! LOL. Season 7 has been so funny for me, because I’ve never been able to watch live until this year, and just being part of that has been GREAT. Also, watching everyone blow a gasket as soon as some promo material drops (or leaks).

And I’m definitely going to miss Dousy 😭😭 And all the crazy, wonderful, adorable crack-ship-ness of it!!

(I had to put the asks into one post because it would clump the whole feed of my blog/timeline for others who follow me - also, just wanted to note that if you have more to say feel free to put it all into one ask as Im sure one person sent more than one or two asks - and that is totally FINE - but it does clump my notifs and then the timeline. Just a little heads up and understanding please - or you can use my curiouscat acc and feel free to write there, hehe)

Now, on the other note:

I know this has been mentioned/said many times but none of the upcoming works will be done soon, or in the span of few weeks. I am finally in my home country after 2 years and I am barely on my computer (where I write) since I want to enjoy the very limited time I have with my family, and I desperately need a break from screen. I also need to prepare my research for school, so I am sure you can understand where my priorities lie this summer.

I am a little overwhelmed with changes in my life, and tumblr doesnt help much, neither AFF where I feel like its silent readership all the time (hence I stopped uploading one shots, because I am just asking to be ignored). This comes with constant comparison to other/more famous writers who always get the credit from readers without having to publish many chapters and already have hunders of ppl interested, while others cant really break through because readers dont appreciate you not having countless featured stories lol (which is supposed to validate you skills, I guess) - so yeah, that is another personal problem of mine that I am battling with currently.

I will slowly work on my WIPs BUT as much as I have a plan, and I always try to share it with you, I am not obliged to follow it simply because sometimes I have bad days and I want to write something nice and easy, and other times when I am in the mood, I can write more serious/plot-heavy story. I will proceed to publish whichever work will be done earlier, sorry! >.<

I worked hard for this blog (for myself) to make it where it is now. I am closing on my first 1000 followers as well, and I manage to get a few asks from various anonymous readers too, which is a big accomplishment for a writer. I do not take any comments/likes/reblogs for granted (for AFF goes the same along with upvotes) So I am very thankful! This blog has been a little life-savior in the difficult times I have to go through at my uni and helped me grow as a writer too.

Anyway, just wanted to give a little heads up about this. I am more inactive now because I want to be in the reality for a bit, so I am writing slowly as I go 🥰 If you read till here, thank you! 💕☺
