In this AU, the Bishops were children who were raised in a temple together, chosen from a young age to bear the crowns.

Shamura the eldest, who loved to read and learn and share this knowledge with everyone around;

Kallamar the second, who loved to entertain his siblings with stories and tales;

Heket the third, who loved to try new things and share them with her siblings;

Narinder himself, who loved too much for the embodiment of death;

and Leshy the youngest, who dreamed of a future beyond the palace walls, where he and his family could simply be.

As they grew older, though, things began to change. Vows were made and stations were created- and everyone settled into their roles, learning and growing and expanding upon their domains... they of war, he of blight, she of famine and he of chaos...

But Narinder, he of Death, could not. And that already widening chasm only grew as he did, anyway.

Azri, eventually, came to view Narinder not as a cruel god, but as a victim of his station- a pathetic personification, a pitiable brother betrayed by those he loved, the very ones who placed those lofty, unreachable, unnatural dreams into him in the first place.

And, well, why become Death when you can simply put Death on a leash?

Since the Lamb spares Narinder, Narinder remains god of death but is essentially under Azri's control. The other four Bishops get revived, but since they died they lost their god status and only retain their immortal souls. Azri is a god themself after defeating all 5 Bishops (killing 4 of them) and obtaining their crowns.

All five crowns are now in Azri's possession and they are nigh on unstoppable. Luckily for everyone, they just want a peaceful and happy life. Being worshiped is a nice side effect, and sure, there's a sacrifice here and there, but all in all it's a very peaceful life.

Just... don't step out of line. When you have Death under your thumb, death has no meaning.

We're about to see the 'rp' team go full throttle against their last opposing team, both sets of people fighting senselessly for the honour of the ones they love.

Q!Bad has lost Forever, Pac has lost Fit, don't even get me started on Tina and Bagi, all of them equally cared for so many of Green team's members, and now, depending on what happens tomorrow, they're gone.

Purgatory really has worked its charm, both teams are reduced to fighting battles they dont even know are worth fighting for anymore.

to be honest i think i will always hate rick’s backstory

its just. it kinda sucks in my opinion. rewatching older episodes also makes it pretty clear that this was noott the original plan. you have rick potion nr9, where rick says that “he couldn’t make marriage work”. and okay i’ll admit this line is kind of vague, but in context it implies divorce or something along those lines. s3′s premiere also just feels like such a meme to me. like the fucking breaking bad house ??? the very cheesy, “feel bad for me :(” backstory, it just. i think purely with season3′s context it’s SUCH a good twist. it not only fools that federation bug but also the audience. you get invested in seeing rick’s backstory, because HOLY SHIT, RICK’S BACKSTORY, only for the rug to be pulled out from under you. IT’S SO GOOD and in my opinion season 5 kind of completely fucks that reveal over. it just feels lazy to me. it’s disappointing!!!!! and it puts rick in a spot where his actions feel, maybe not justified, but definitely like... excusable? understandable? like oh yeah of course he’d become an alcoholic because of this, of course he’d kill thousands of people, of course he’d be a terrible person. idk. i hope this isn’t some deluded fever dream, but i swear i saw one of those “fun r&m facts you didn’t know!” videos that said that rick’s backstory would never be revealed. and i wish that had been the case!!!!! or like, i dont know. at least that it would’ve been something ANYTHING else. it also sucks because it completely strips diane of any character besides rick’s hot dead wife. like the writers had this whole unexplored character who could be Anything, and they just flush her down the drain for like. No Reason except to give rick his “crybaby backstory.” DIVORCE ARC could have been so much more interesting. or like, a cooler twist. instead of just, idk, killing people just for the lolz. and hey!! beth development!! because imagine your dad just disappears after your mom and him get divorced. like that could totally fuel beth’s angsty teenage hatred or whatever. its just. SUCH an unopened goldmine to me. i get this wouldn’t work with prime rick’s whole fiasco/the current plot but ugh i dont know. i just hate rick’s backstory. like just. imagine getting divorced and being so petty that you figure out space travel and become and intergalactic whore. AND DIANE COULD STILL EXIST AS WELL. imagine the christmases! the thanksgivings! “you look like shit”, “at least i don’t smell of sweat and ethanol” UGGHHHHH

lots, tbh, but as always with these questions i am BLANKING while reading it. 😅

okay. *long breaths* a couple i've talked about in the past: luke grabbing a new guitar pick while performing now or never is definitely always on my list. it's so tiny but adds a level of authenticity to luke as a character and his performance. very, very soft whenever i watch the show. also julie's "someone once told me you book gigs by doing" and luke's incredibly soft and small smile in return. 😍

additionally, the way luke's hand travels down julie's arm when they're finally able to touch. the way he lingers there and his thumb's stroking her wrist when his hand's finally made its way down...

the way they are not. letting. go. as soon as they are able to touch each other. ugh.

and another one because why not: the way luke's hiding from the crowd in front of the orpheum because to him, the connection he wants with everybody is about the music, on stage. it's not about him. it's about his words and his melodies reaching the people and making them feel something, making a difference. (and no, this is not contradicting the way he's angry at bobby for stealing his songs because wanting the credit, on a professional level, is still important to him. he just wants it to stay professional.)

Well. Potentially inadvisable message I sent a few days ago not really expecting a reply to did, in fact, get a reply.

#personal #for those with enough knowledge of blog lore to know what I'm talking about here: #I caved and messaged First Ex/Former Closest Friend again #out of a mixture of the fact that I keep circling back to that friendship breakup on an approximately monthly basis that I knew #I'd never be able to really let it go unless I at least tried once #and the confidence from my knowledge of him that if our positions were reversed *he* would have tried #in any case. He's not sure if we'll succeed in being friends again but he *is* willing to talk #on the condition (which I offered in my initial message) of me not telling any of the people we mutually know #that he ended up having issues with #that we are speaking with #& there is (unsurprisingly since there was clearly a lot missing from the stories I'd gotten) more to said issues than I'd heard about #which it sounds like he's going to elaborate on when we talk #I think the biggest difficulty for me in re-establishing contact like this is going to be accepting that he and my mother #outright despise each other now #which. l mean - I'd never claim she's perfect #she can be very blunt in a way that comes off as just *mean* and hurtful and I've been hurt by that too #but she's also been a much better parent to me than most people's parents seem to be to them #it's possible maybe even likely that if some of our arguments when I was younger had ended in us cutting ties rather than #eventually talking it through that I would see her the same way Former Closest Friend does #but they didn't and she's been at certain points amazingly supportive since #so it's likely I'm going to have a hard time reconciling the version of her he's going to present to me with that #even though I'm totally open to believing that he's justified in how he feels about whatever happened #& I'm not going to be able to process it out loud irl bc that would violate the 'not telling people involved about this' clause #so there may be a lot of venty personal tumblr posts coming soon to a blog near you
