Desperately do I need to know more about Rei being a meme in the mom chat and if Kazuki is in the mom chat n started the dame meme, like all the moms post their husbands being dumb in the mom chat n Kazuki joins in but then it spiraled out of control

so glad you asked because i think kazuki & rei would probably be filled with meme potential for the other parents but i did have two scenarios in mind. first of which is just that rei is so incomprehensible as a person that the moms just kind of end up using him as a shorthand for just "i was talking to this man and i have absolutely no idea what he's saying." like "i went shopping with my daughter and this man kept talking about how we needed to be more prepared and then handed me an umbrella?? the weather forcast says there's not going to be rain all week though..." everyone else: "ah, sounds like a suwa rei." "yup, that was suwa rei."

alternative was just rei was talking to a mom & says something incredibly Strange so kazuki had to run up and go "DON'T WORRY. HE'S JUST TALKING ABOUT. UH. VIDEO GAMES" or something but it sounds so suspect she can't get it out of her head until it leads to one of the moms taking a picture of rei & putting text over it like "DON'T WORRY/THIS IS A CONVERSATION ABOUT VIDEO GAMES" which gets posted for similar reasons.

i think if kazuki was in the group it'd have a different atmosphere but i don't think he'd be the type to reveal too much private information about rei just due to his fear of being found out & whatnot, but i think eventually kazuki ends up automatically deferring to rei when it comes to like, figuring out what toys & games are good (at least in terms of quality) while rei obviously defers to kazuki in terms of cooking & cleaning so there have been a lot of convos with other parents that just turn into "wait, let me ask my husband." the moms affectionately refer to this as the papa conference
