no people generally don't wear a strap out and about in regular life. the term for wearing a dildo in a harness is called "hard packing" and it's generally not done really. I only ever hear about it in like erotic fiction - I don't think people actually do it (it would be uncomfortable, physically, to fit it inside of pants, and it would also look Very Inappropriate because it would look like they have a HUGE hard-on/boner). wearing a regular packer is just called packing - packers are typically soft and made to resemble a typical, flaccid dick. they can be realistic, abstract, or fantasy-themed. these are not meant to be used for penetration. there are even packers built to be used to pee standing up and worn throughout the day. packers are also sometimes called prosthetics. hope this helps! if you are considering hard packing, i would encourage you to try it around the house first and seriously consider whether it's a good idea going out in public like that before doing so. stay safe <3
