Babes my best friend and I are hunting for boyfriends, so like how can we initiate?

I met Mr. MB at a Mardi Gras party. I had a friend who, when she's drunk, will run away. I don't have this friend anymore. Anyway, I'm drunk and realizing oh my God she's gone AGAIN. Not answering her phone, just vanish into the city. I leave the bar and I walk outside, angry and frustrated.

J (not his actual initial and I'll never remember this, so the constant changing of initials will be fun) (god imagine if his name was Josh) was brand new to the city and a west coast transplant whose phone had died and he was tragically lost. I like to imagine he saw me there looking beautiful and perfect but in reality it was me who made the first comment (who knows what it was- lets pretend it was witty). We got to talking as we stood there looking out in the gloom and the light rain and he said his phone was dead. I happened to have a townhouse I was renting about four blocks down and like the idiot in every slasher film with no sense of self preservation, offered to let him come back to my place and charge his phone. I was thinking I was going to have to sober up if I wanted to drive around and find her, so it made sense (somehow).

Anyway he didn't murder me, which I appreciated. We watched Dale and Tucker vs Evil while his phone charged, sitting on the couch with a cushion of polite space between us. We talked a little and learned we had nothing in common. His phone charged and his friends called and told him where they were and when he was leaving he stopped at the door and asked if he could have my number which surprised me because he did like, almost no talking. I was like, sure, thinking it would go nowhere because I had no luck with men AND I had a 13 month old I hadn't told him about because he was a stranger. My boyfriend before him turned out to be a married man and that was a really painful blow when I found out.

ANYWAY- they're out there in the world and I think you just have to talk to them.

in the last few days i finally watched all the revstar stage plays that i hadn't watched before! they're all so fucking awesome... i think my favourite is edel delight even tho it did not make me cry while #3 growth did. (something about glittering stars makes me cry every time... and i also cried during the actual play) but i did have to pause delight and come back after a few minutes when the revue started because i got so so excited that i had to calm down. that has literally not happened to me ever. i swear revue starlight is the only media that makes me have emotions This strong (and that is insane because i get a lot of emotions about just about everything) (well except maybe the news but that's strong emotions in a completely different direction. i do not enjoy the news at all.) live online was literally like "quarantine update: still gay, still silly" which i love. it was fun ^^ no deep storyline but i did enjoy it (though the atmosphere of it was pretty strange, i'm assuming because of the lack of audience, the social distancing and less rehearsal time.. welp covid be like that) i loved regalia, definitely am interested in those little guys, but not quite going Insane™️ about them yet.

all in all. edel delight changed the trajectory of my life. kukugumi my belovedests 😭😭♥️♥️♥️♥️😭😭😭♥️. and yeah. that. is my feelings. (also it is 7 am i have not slept and most likely am a little incoherent)
