God, I am so nervous for when we see the Moon Knight system again and finally get to learn about Jake because they’re either going to mess it up horribly or land it perfectly.
I feel like the writers and directors struggled with Marc based on how they spoke about him in Assembled: The Making of Moon Knight. If they struggled with him, when he’s not all that difficult, I can’t imagine how they view Jake.
I look at how Loki’s story was handled in Season 2 of Loki and I just…we need more women directing and writing because they seem to understand characters with trauma better than men do.
I’m not saying Moon Knight Season 1 was a disaster. Most of it I quite liked, but there are certain things that bug me about it and most of it has to do with how Marc was treated.
I don’t think it helps that the general Marvel audience seems to let things go right over their heads and miss the point.
Since I brought up Loki already, Loki ending up alone when that’s the one thing he didn’t want to happen isn’t an amazing ending. You can tell men were in charge of that season, especially with the way the women, specifically Sylvie, were treated.
What's going to happen to/with Layla? How are they going to handle her relationship whether it remains romantic or shifts to being platonic with the system? Etc.
Let’s just say I have a lot of concerns going forward.
Ok, so I’ve been thinking about the great prophecy of the seven.
Seven half bloods to answer the call
To storm or fire the world must fall
An oath to keep with a final breath
And foes bear arms to the doors of death
So keeping in mind I’m still reading son of Neptune (finals are next week so I’ve been studying a lot), I’m trying to see if I can figure out the prophecy before it happens.
Seven halfbloods to answer the call is semi obvious. I’m still learning who they are, but I’ve got my guesses.
It’s the next line that’s got me concerned. To storm or fire the world must fall. Leo is fire, but I’m not sure if Percy of Jason is the storm. I don’t like the word fall here, cause it sounds really bad. World likely doesn’t mean the litera entire world, but it does feel like one of them does some mass destruction.
An oath to keep with a final breath means someone is gonna die keeping a promise and I don’t like that either. It’s not specifically one of our heroes but it’s not not one of them either.
Foes bear arms to the doors of death. Doors of death as in the underworld or Tartarus?
@evenmoreofadisaster it’s a super rough story board but I first stumbled upon these guys because of @2aceofspades doodles of them and now I’m gradually becoming obsessed haha
I haven’t gotten too far into the story yet so the dynamic might be off, I’m sorry if it is 🫠
Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang’s first time meeting is so sus to me now. This is all speculation of course but the way Lu Guang is acting really makes it seem like he knows Xiaoshi already. Like why was this man just standing right where Xiaoshi happened to be playing basketball? He doesn’t look like he ended up there on accident.
Why is Xiaoshi talking to Lu Guang like that? Dude you literally met 10 minutes ago and you’re already calling him your trustworthy partner.. 🤨
Also during a q&a with Director Li, someone asked what Xiaoshi was thinking during this scene and he answered that Xiaoshi felt Lu Guang was familiar even though he hadn’t met him before.
Then Lu Guang just so happens to be passing by the photo studio. He plays it off like it’s totally a coincidence but he’s looking at Xiaoshi all 🥺 before he turns around. Why is he looking at someone he barely knows with so much longing?? Maybe he’s just awkward but with all the other hints there’s probably more to it than that. Not to mention Qiao Ling saying it’s like Lu Guang just magically appeared in their lives one day.
I think Lu Guang definitely knew exactly where Xiaoshi would be and intentionally went to him. Who knows how many times he’s experienced their “first” meeting.
