y'all i just got an email about scheduling an interview for a grad assistant position so ig they are considering me after all!!!!

So I'm taking a novel writing course this semester (other classes had the actual craft lectures, this one is basically just "write a 50k draft by May 5th"). For someone who could never stick to a good writing habit and was really nervous, the necessary 500 words a day habit has been off to a good start!

For my own excitement and motivation I think I may post after I reach each weekly quota -- we've come to the first Tuesday and I made it! 3578 words 🎉

friends ! we need to talk about the play

we know that it's supposed to be canon. we know that it "might hold the key to the end" of the show. we know it features several of the adult st characters in their high school years. and we know there will be heavy focus on henry creel. currently, performances are only planned for the phoenix theatre in london -- starting november 17th. not everyone will have the means or opportunity to see the play in person. i know i won't. as of now, there don't seem to be any plans for performances outside of london, or any plans for a digital release or streaming or anything

hopefully, that will change in the future. i assume the super important stuff will be touched on within the final season of the actual show, but making something with canon tie-ins so exclusive still feels wrong to me. that said, fans will be seeing this next month. there will be spoilers available, pretty immediately i imagine. i will probably be talking about the play and these spoilers and what i think it could mean for the show. i love spoilers. i love content. i can't help myself

Now and for Always is one I've been working on pretty steadily for a while, so I'm actually hoping to post it before too long. Here's a little snippet that hopefully shouldn't give too much away:

After that first time in the library, it felt like you ran into Cardinal Copia far more often, or maybe you were just noticing his presence more now that you were acquainted. The two of you often crossed paths in the hallways or after mass. You found that he was a good listener, always intent on humoring you with whatever you decided to talk about. But he seemed to genuinely enjoy your company which eased your anxieties about possibly bothering him with your rambling.

One day, as you both made your way through the lunch line, you divulged to the Cardinal about some strange things you'd been noticing lately. “I thought that my clothes were getting lost in the laundry because that's common, right? So I got myself a laundry bag so I'd stop losing things, which seems to be working well. But I don't know, I swear my things are still going missing.”

He seemed lost in thought over your trivial little concerns. “And what all has gone missing, Sorella?”

“Oh you know, socks and things like that,” you said casually, but internally you knew it wasn't the whole truth. But Hell forbid you reveal to a member of the upper Clergy that several pairs of underwear and even a bra had been lost, even if you did consider him a close friend by now. You hoped your warming cheeks didn't give you away.
