Okay, I love Chase, I love that she doesn't let herself be intimidated and is herself at all times no matter what, she is firm to who she is and what she believes in, so I know in my heart that she knew it was Kate who was with Lucy, not only because Kate is probably not there very often and it's a new vibe in her space, but because of the pure and warm energy that Kate has

Because Lucy asks if she felt her strength or stern authority, and Chase's answer is that she actually felt sincerity, and if Chase is as good as I know she is, it speaks to how Kate always acts following her heart, doing what she knows is the right thing 🥺

Lucy is one of the most genuine characters I know, she is distracted, when she concentrates she can't talk/listen to another subject, she has phobias, she is stubborn and afraid to show her feelings but at the same time she has the heart of a child and is very sentimental, so seeing this kind of scenes where she is real, not wanting to see her friend get a wound stitched up, showing displeasure in her own way, makes me very happy, especially the way Kate reacts to this, she is just so happy to see how silly her girlfriend is

And the best scene in the whole series finally came, I find it very funny how Kate was so sure she had let that go and as soon as Lucy mentions it she immediately panics.

This one just because I love watching them mess around with each other, and Kate and Lucy standing next to each other is always cute ❤

How cute she looks so nervous to say it in front of everyone and goes over to tell Lucy first, as if to make sure it wasn't anything ridiculous and that she was going to be able to say it in front of the others, plus Lucy's totally excited response wanting her to already tell them 🥺🥰

Everyone's reaction and Jane saying Kate would have made a great Miss America just so Kate could feel more comfortable after noticing her nervous, and the way she can joke once Jane makes the comment, they are a family and every time they are welcoming her in a better way and making her feel part of them, I love them 💗

And of course you didn't think I was going to leave out the best thing about the episode, knowing that they are there for each other, knowing that they can joke and play with each other, it's really what's worth it, it's not just a job, it's family ✨

I'm so happy we finally had new episodes and got to see all our Ohana together, I missed Lucy so much and seeing her with the boys and Kate, I don't know what I'll do when the season ends :(

Kiki!!🥰✨Okay, so I thought long and hard about this request, what to write and how to write it, and I think I finally got something worthy of the person who not only introduced me to Eddie Munson, but also coaxed me into watching Stranger Things and therefore introduced me to a comfort character and a comfort show in one hit!!💗I hope that you enjoy this. I did a lot of research on cheer; watched some videos, studied your DMs and tried to incorporate everything that I could, and I did my bestest!!! Thank you for everything, Kiki, you made this fandom my home and I'm so grateful for everything.🫂

SOME physical description given; reader is a flyer so they are explicitly described as being small. Kiki was absolutely in mind 100% when I wrote this so it’s very tailored to her. I hope others can enjoy it, though.

You had been quietly and impatiently waiting for your sideline uniform to be sent to you through the post; the cheerleading season started soon and that was all you were waiting on for your position as a flyer to become official. Somehow, the experience of getting to go back into cheerleading and your corresponding emotions became more real once you had the uniform in your hands, adorable hair ribbons included.

It was supposed to arrive this week and you couldn't have been more pleased, excited and nervous if you had tried. Eddie, if it was possible, was even more of everything than you were. The sweet boy was like a sponge, soaking up the atmosphere around you as you seemed almost to vibrate whenever you sat or stood still for an extended period of time. You reminded Eddie - and Uncle Wayne, when the plant let him have a rare night off - of himself, when he was in the throes of planning a new campaign. He would giggle to himself as he made contingency plans of contingency plans, come up with creative ways for his sheep's characters to get themselves out of the stick situations he threw them into, a shepherd tending to his flock even as he tortured them just a little, just enough to get them squirming in their seats and whispering wishes into hands cupped around many sided dice. He was a sadistic Dungeon Master and yet he experienced genuine happiness and excitement when he was bested, proud of his sheep and of his Hellfire boys.

And you, oh, you were a live wire. Cheer was the only sports you had ever enjoyed. It was one of your true callings in life, you could feel it deep in your bones. You had been given the position of a flyer due to your physical stature; you were small which meant that you could do backflips in the air, reach the top of the pyramid, be thrown around and receive the attention and admiration of an entire crowd of people. It was incredibly difficult, and it was a sport which Eddie had a lot of respect for. He never included cheerleaders in his anti-conformity canteen-table rants for a reason and that was because it was genuinely hard to be a cheerleader. It required so much practice, determination, passion and trust in the other cheerleaders. But shit like bastketball? Toss a ball into a basket and that was the extent of it... Eddie had no respect for that. None at all. Jocks weren't worth it, but cheerleaders? Eddie admired them.

You loved the thrill of being up in the air, of feeling the wind in your hair and seeing the gymnasium from an angle very few got to. It gave you an adrenaline high like nothing else, and Eddie loved the spark it put in your eyes.

"Hey, sweetheart?" Eddie came bounding around the corner of his bedroom, his dark curls brushing against the tops of his shoulders and his chocolate eyes soft with love for you. He was holding a package in his hands and you knew just from the smirk of your face what he was bringing you. "Look what I've got ~ " the gleeful sing song of his voice made you grin, the expression infectious as Eddie couldn't keep his own off his face. Oh, but you two were always feeding off each other's emotions and making any moment even more special between the two of you. You were so very similar, in many ways.

You loved cheer, you loved it, and you needed no prompting at all from Eddie to grab the package as you tore it open and your eyes consumed the first sight of your uniform, as your hands felt the material for the first time; tougher than usual thanks to the factory starch which was always put onto new clothes. Eddie's smile was still almost as wide as his face, threatening to split his cheeks in two as he watched you. You were so happy, squealing and expressing your excitement so viscerally that you weren't even fully aware of yourself, and the sweet man was simply enjoying your happiness and deriving his own from it. If you were the sunshine, then Eddie was the tallest sunflower, following you wherever you went for the pleasure of your warmth across his face.

"Go try it on, babe, go on," The upward lilt of Eddie's voice sounded a lot like when he was goading his sheep to make a decision during a tense moment in a campaign, and you were gone like a bullet from a gun, leaving Eddie staring after you with an ache in his chest.

When had the Dungeon Master become the cheerleader's cheerleader?

Thankfully, your unform fit with no problems and days passed, until finally, finally, it was the first day of the season. If Eddie had thought that you were excited before, when you received your uniform in the post, then it had nothing on what you were feeling right now. You had your feet firmly on the ground and yet it felt like you were already on the top of the pyramid, your lungs burning in your chest, your body working hard to keep you steady atop the others, your adrenaline high even higher than you. You were on cloud nine and Eddie was right there beside you, his hand tightly in yours, fingers interlocked.

"So, sweetheart," Eddie tooks his keys out of the ignition and turned to smirk at you, his hands reaching out in opposite directions; one sliding up from your knee where it had rested to wrap around your wrist, and the other grasping for the door handle. You should have known that what it looked like Eddie was doing, wasn't what he had planned. "You ready to do that, y'know," he mimed a very weak, silly imitation of cheerleading to make you giggle, "thing you do?"

Your voice was saturated with sunshine and laughter as you said, "you coming with me? That'd be a dream, Eddie." You cracked the passenger side door open but remained in your seat, wanting every second right beside Eddie. Oh, but you loved him so much that it put a solid ache in your chest.

Eddie leaned over the console between your seats to give you a lingering, tender kiss to your forehead as he murmured, "I wouldn't wanna be anywhere else. I promise." Something shifted in his chest as he said that. Something clicked into place for him, just as it had for you the day that you had signed up for cheer once again. Eddie remembered a few days ago when he had asked himself to recall when the Dungeon Master had also become the cheerleader's cheerleader?

But now he knew the answer. He could feel it in his bones...

... It was the day he had fallen in love with you.

here are just a few that i’ve thought up while playing. i hope you enjoy! 🥰

✦ aloy loves to give gifts: she knows it isn’t easy for you to sit idly by while she’s out there saving the world, so she wants you to know that you’re not out of her mind completely. she’ll stumble upon something beautiful enough that reminds her so much of you, to the point where she has to grab it and tuck it away to bring it to you later. occasionally, it’ll be an old-world item that she thinks you’ll get a kick out of. i also do not think she’s opposed to just gifting you old-world jewellery like an old-world custom. whatever it is, she finds joy in the smile that comes across your face each time she returns to you with her arms full (the joy also applies when she’s empty-handed, of course… you just missed her).

✦ aloy loves to plan dates: now, this was an idea i had after securing poseidon, but i think she would love to take you out on dates after she’s ensured the location was safe first. the date may be anything from watching the stars on a secluded mountaintop (around base, for example) to a romantic walk through a settlement to the spectacular light show in las vegas—it doesn’t matter. she just wants to be close to you and enjoy that quality time with you before she has to continue on her journey. since she sees so much more than you, i feel that her ability to plan dates is top-tier. she knows all the best sights (and how to secure them if needed).

✦ aloy is big on physical affection: poor baby is always out there risking her life for the world and craves the feeling of her love embracing her. whenever she is finally around you, she never wants to let go or be let go. she makes sure to plan her time around the many hours of cuddling she’ll need before returning to the wilds. it’s a time of catching up on all the physical affection she’s missed while she’s been gone that she knows you’ve been craving, too. she also loves to give and receive as many kisses as possible while there. the others may joke around, acting disgusted, but she doesn’t care. she’s earned it.

✦ aloy loves to give and receive praise: you’re absolutely the first person she’d call on the focus once she accomplishes something. she does it to keep you in the loop and to hear just how excited and happy you are for her. the way you praise her makes her feel so warm and loved. sure, appreciation from others is nice, but it’s so different coming from you. it feels so much more meaningful than you could ever imagine. something as simple as a “i knew you could do it” motivates her to keep going. it’s not an easy journey she’s on and your support is everything. on the other hand, she’ll also dish out the praise right back. if you’ve made moves at the base that has furthered progress, aloy will be so happy for you and ensure that you know just how proud she is of you. while it is a team effort, she is just highly supportive of you and all that you do!

✦ aloy would be protective over you: you’ve fared pretty well in the wilds and have proven that you can defend yourself, but aloy would prefer that you stay safely at the base. she knows that the west is a whole new world with even tougher machines and would sleep much better on her travels knowing that you were somewhere secure (like the base). she also likes knowing she can “go home” to you whenever she wants. sometimes, she’ll walk or ride the extra mile just to be with you for the night. she’s also protective in the sense that if anybody messes with you, she will say something. this is where i’d agree with your sass because those hands are absolutely going on her hips as she handles the situation for you. that’s not to say that she thinks you can’t handle yourself, but nobody messes with her love. even if it’s somebody else close to her, like erend or varl, she’s taking your side 100%. after the conversation, she’ll pull you close and kiss your forehead to ensure you’re okay before continuing with other matters.

✦ aloy would call you every night: this girl cannot fall asleep without talking to you. if there are times when she can’t get back to the base and has to shelter elsewhere, she has to call you to make sure you and everything else is okay. not only that, but it’s an excuse to hear your voice again. it brings her a lot of comfort to get even a little interaction with you. it would become a sort of ritual where you both would talk every night before sleep, telling each other about your day until you fall asleep (still on the call). it makes her feel closer to you, even miles away. it also makes the whole distance thing feel more manageable to deal with. there are nights where you just stay up talking to each other about random things and pretending you are right there next to each other, but you both know you’ll see each other in person again soon… it just can’t come fast enough.

So, Season 2. It's. It's alright ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But like...that's it, lmao.

I did enjoy it! I got WAY MORE genuine laughs out of these first two episodes than I did the entire first season. Magnus is hilarious, I love his whole vibe lmao. Fluffy's character, Kris, he's...man is really out here looking for a father figure and it is deffs biting him in the ASS.

The elves are top tier as per the usual! Betty and Noel are continuing to be THE power couple and I am SO HAPPY ABOUT IT, I love them to death 🥰🥰🥰

My fave thing about the season so far is just everyone out here like Scott wtf are you doing. Wtf, man. I yelled GET HIS ASS so many times lol. The official Get His Ass Count as of the end of Episode 2: 8. 8 whole GET HIS ASS moments. BLESS.

SO RIGHT. NITTY GRITTY. OKAY.

Episode 1

Scott sucked SO BAD this episode. He breaks the SOS on a worldwide level then gets upset when Cal is like "I love Riley! I wished her here! We're hanging out! Riley!! :D" and is like "Bro you should've dusted her."

OKAY SCOTT. WHAT ABOUT THE WHOLE WORLD, SCOTT, HMM? ARE WE DUSTING THEM??? HMM??? YEESH.

Scott aside (you know, his usual boomer-esque old guy who refuses to change shtick with BUT WHAT ABOUT FAMILY! And whatnot thing), everything else was. Mid, tbh. But fun! Santa being like "Are you gonna kill him?" With Carol being like "I can take care of Gary" was hilarious.

Betty and Noel, of course, SHINNED. I love them, they are SO CUTE. Cardboard face cutouts??? ICONIC. Nobody is doing it like them!

Now. Cal. aka, Buddy. I am very worried for him. Like, 4 episodes ago he was having ANXIETY about being Santa? And now this? Carol being like "what if he doesn't want it don't force him to follow in your footsteps" like. I AGREE. HE SHOULD GO OFF TO COLLEGE AND LIVE HIS LIFE!!!! I have a lot of thoughts there but it is late and I need to FOCUS because I need to yell about Cupid in a second, ANYWAY

Magnus Antas. I love this guy. I fucks with him. He takes a 700 year nap and is like "I'm fine" until his toxic bestie is like "I WANT TO KILL" and a kid sasses him for not being Santa/being OLD and he's like "Nevermind. I want to kill now too. Time to MURDER." He has VIBES and I like them!! He also seems like he's was over it until Olga was like "but what if" and some kid was mean to him and tbh, I can't even blame him for getting pissy at the kid lol. I'd also turna kid into "a Roblox" if I could (here for Gamer Mad Santa btw. I'd watch him stream on Twitch)

This is verging into Episode 2 territory, lol. May as well get there, then!

EPISODE 2

So, the LORE DROPS. Um. There was a LOT of it? And it seems to contradict itself/not quite equate with itself? If the NP is a utopia for magic, why is it like that? Was Magnus good, or not? Why do ALL the fairy creatures live there, when they come from so many diverse cuktures and backgrounds? That's a lil messed up! What the fuck happened with the gnomes becoming so (what's the phrase) PROMINENT for Santa? Will we get answers for all of these? Based on past season, PROBABLY NOT! BUT I HOPE WE DO! BC IT IS A BIT ALL OVER THE PLACE! AHH!

RIGHTO. SO SANDRA'S MAGIC. Love that for her! Love that they're actually devoting time to showing her interacting with La Befana and learning about herself and the pair of them discussing things!!! MUCH rather watch that than a 5 minute long auto-tuned elf song which is there just for a Santa/Satan joke! I'm excited to see how her whole arc goes--it looks like she's ACTUALLY GETTING ONE.

I wonder why Befana needs her to tell her parents, like, aside from obvious reasons. She was so insistent on Sandra making sure her parents knew she was training with Befana, that I'm wondering if there's something more to it a la "our powers don't work on other legendary figures". Like, was it to keep her mind clear? Is it like a past thing? Bc Witches are "scary" and often "bad" given that Santa calls Befana a "good one"?

That's another thign! Not sure I vibed with THAT whole thing. Both Claus's being like "yeah witches, they are deffs their stereotypes". Like. Idk. It sits. Not gr8 with me. Feels like performative activism, sorta, you know?

Which is also how I feel about the girl power moments, tbh. Like, it's nice to see them--Carol respecting Befana as a self-made woman, sister solidarity, etc. But it feels very performative! It feels very much like they are checking it off a list, you know? They're STILL like "Carol is trying to find a role for Mrs. Claus" and they go for COP? Wildin. Also wildin that the ELFS are COP EQUIVALENTS? Um, since WHEN?! They are funky little guys with jet packs and no regard for authority. Remember when they broke Santa out of jail and bullied the cop at the front desk? Remember that? YEAH.

OKAY SO NOW MY FAVOURITE PART TO TALK ABOUT. CUPID AND THE COUNCIL!

So as a classics major and a lover of the Cupid/Psyche myth (and personal bias from OCs made bc of said myth) I was unimpressed with the Mrs. Cupid convo. FIRST off, her name is PSYCHE so jot that down. SECONDLY. It was ONE ARROW MEANT FOR HER THAT SOMEHOW GOT LODGED INTO CUPID ACCIDENTALLY WHILE SENT ON AN ERRAND BY HIS MOTHER, VENUS, TO TAKE CARE OF (make her fall in love with a horrible monster/something/someone very ugly) PSYCHE BC SHE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL WORSHIP WAS DROPPING FOR VENUS AND GOING TO PSYCHE.

This resulted in Cupid and Psyche having a very strange romance/marriage in which Psyche's shitty sisters convince her to break Cupid's one rule (which was don't look at me) and he gets injured, HELD HOSTAGE by his mother, and Psyche has to go on a QUEST to free him that involves Venus making her do all sorts of shitty shenanigans, setting the personifications of sadness and despair on her, and trapping her in an eternal sleep. Cupid, afflcited by his own arrow, escapes his mother's house when he hears about this, finds her, and draws the sleep out of her, waking her up and reuniting them.

They then proceed to go to Zeus (not Jupiter despite Cupid being the Roman equivalent of Eros, and Venus roman of Aphrodite? It's interesting) like LOOK WHAT VENUS DID and Zeus goes "Wow, that's a little fucked up, actually. Listen, I'll make her a god and sanction your marriage and tell of your Mom IF you do something a little fucked up for me and help me get ANY woman I want" to which Cupid goes "Sure, that sounds reasonable and not fucked up at all" and then he and Psyche get married and have a fucking rager with the gods and have one kid, Pleasure, aka Hedone/Volupta, or in SOME iterations, THREE kids, Pleasure, Joy, and a third one who's name escapes me (Vanity I think) and presumably live happily ever after! READ FOR YOURSELF!

I am very passionate about this bc uh. this is uh. Dite's whole ass backstory? She is Hedone lmao so I've got some personal attachment here thanks to me own OCs lmao, ANYWAY

So YEAH that got me miffed. As did uh, the whole PEEKABOO and cupid making baby noises back at Riley. The ICK.

But you know what I DID love?? Cupid being like "I'm not spying but also, I am spying and also, the whole ass entire council is like BOI...WHAT THE FUCK". GET HIS ASS! CALL HIM OUT!! BC YEAH, WHAT THE FUCK SCOTT?? SEASON 1?? HELLO??? EVERYTHING BEFORE THAT??? VIOLATING THE SOS BY SHARING ALL THOSE SNOW GLOBES??? AHHHHHHH.

Cupid delivering that 3 month deadline and Council threat I was like. HERE for it. I was like. GET HIS ASS (this was one of the GHA counter moments tbh). Like, this dude is out of control! I think it's high time Scott meets the consequences for his actions! AH!

So YEAH. Excited to see Sandy and for New EB! I hope the whole Council comes back, even if they have to recast, that 5 minute scene would add YEARS to my life that Riley and Cal took away.

Because they are. So icky. I feel as though. There is a scale. And Marie is on one end, and Riley is on the other. This isn't just FIRST LOVE this is just DISGUSTING. Like it was cute at first last season but now Riley is honestly?? Sups annoying. You can tell that they're like, checking items off the list instead of actually putting more thought into them, because Riley is v much a stereotype and they have WAY UPPED her teenager levels. I need them to talk to actual teens. Nobody says OMG like that and also, she's bringing home BIKERS?????????? UM??????? It's like. Why are they so bad at writing love interests? You feel? Tho this could just be a me thing 🤔🤔🤔

They really should've socialized those kids, DAMN. Santa being like "And we all know how that [Romeo and Juliet] went" or whatever the line was had me like "FINALLY SCOTTY BOY. SOMETHING WE CAN AGREE ON!"

AND LAST ON MY LIST. THE SCOTT/SANDRA SCENE.

Finally. Finally. FINALLY. Some good parenting from Scott. FINALLY. Being sups understanding to Sandra? I actually loved it. He finally did ONE (1) GOOD THING. MAYBE HE IS? LEARNING? I DUNNO MAN! WE'LL SEE HOW IT GOES! But yeah, I did like that scene a lot. I'm just really here for Sandra getting her moment!

So YEAH. Overall, season 2 is okay. Gave me more laughs which is WELCOME, and I cannot wait to see how this develops. Especially since the lore was like, really thrown our way, you know? It was a lot for two episodes and again, did kind of contradict itself? Hopefully it clears up once Santa inevitably learns the truth about Mad Santa, probably mostly thanks to Carol who is DOING the MOST.

But yeah, I'm hoping to see the lore tidied/explained a bit better. Especially bc the whole elf lore opening, with the icy tunnels and drab vibes, didn't sit well with me? It...I didn't like it. Not my cup of tea. The lore in general isn't my cup of tea though it's fun to see it there finally, lol. Poor Toots, being named after a fart essentially (I went right to toilet humour, I'm sorry, I am so mature I promise i'm not)

Also, they really kinda. Throw around the head elf title, huh? It felt REALLY WEIRD to not see BMan there, and Toots just being thrown in? Weird it's WEIRD. I wouldn't bring B-Man back for it but MAN IS IT WEIRD. Especially since the new elves, as much as I ADORE THEM, don't have the same kind of like. Old feel to them? As the movie elves did? So I was like "they should NOT be there right now. They should NOT."

Righto. I am going to wrap this up bc I am INSANE and this is very very VERY long for a franchise like this 😅😅😅

Anyway! Missed seeing much of Hetty and Pete today, but I'm sure we'll see them again soon :). And we did see them, it was just mostly in the beginning. Pete's outfit joke (and the fact that he kept saying it) was so funny xD. And Hetty doing her darndest as a wedding planner lol. Also her friendship with Alberta is so sweet :')). And calling her "Bertie" stooop they're so cute 😭🥺🥰.

I'm happy Alberta got to have a romance with a guy :D. And the poltergeist ghost lore was really cool :O :D! Poor Saul is kind of going through it overall though xD. But hey, he gets to travel :D. It has its benefits and its drawbacks compared to a car ghost lol, but it seems pretty chilling :)). It's too bad him and Alberta didn't work out :(, but they were cute while they lasted :D. And poor Jay xD. Glad bro's finally free lol. Even if he had to, but didn't actually have to, hug Jean in the process lol.

Trevor, the bad influence 💀. Lowkey despising what he's caused, but hey at least he made sure they both had fun and also equal experiences lol xD. Now, I personally don't know how much truth there is to this but even my friend from Japan acknowledged it and said the fandom talked about it on a forum so take it how you will- After 'Naruto' the story ended Kishimoto wanted one last movie that showed Naruto becoming Hokage and it would've been around the age Minato became Hokage. In our case, that would've been instead of 'the Last; Hinata's Genjutsu Fest'. Again, I don't know if Kishimoto really said this, but it would make perfect sense as... it was Naruto's biggest dream (on the surface, but still) which was never fully realized. But we did get a cold bucket thrown over our heads in some random last chapter and in the end his dream was crushed still because it was visualized as something Naruto never got to celebrate nor was he shown to be excited about becoming Hokage regardless. And lemme tell you.. that says a whole lot of somethings 👀.. It is just terrible overall. But imagine.. 699 Chapters and then having a movie based on a new Chapter 700 where Naruto is a bit older and we get to see him genuinely become Hokage and something changed within the Shinobi system. It doesn't have to be something major, we only need a hint as it will be a lifelong journey anyway. Sasuke is there of course, because nothing keeps him from staying away now, there is actual meaning to their characters, they cooperate freely as we see him finding some answer to his question (or multiple) he still had. (During Vote2.) It is some sort of middle ground between Naruto wanting all the villages working together and Sasuke's revolution, but they do it together. They aren't alone and don't display these insane visuals of their loneliness BECAUSE THEY ARE STILL LONELY TODAY in their current situations. But working together like that? That is a vision they share. And we get an entire movie about it!! I don't think Naruto was ready at all to be Hokage at the end of the story, unlike Gaara who was very young as well but now he was.. what? 30+? Why...? And what did he do in the meantime instead of counting headbands? We never got to see :/ I'm so bitter about it. I don't mind Kaguya's will being a part of the war, but Madara being nerfed like that was lame. We already had the plot twist during Obito, we didn't need it again with Madara... I wish to see all 'Naruto' sequels, fillers and novels gone and forgotten, for Kishimoto to say 'Naruto' is still ongoing, say that Chapter 700 was fake so that he can make a new one and then we get a proper movie. I know he liked the 'Boruto' movie and considered it his own personal project, it was alright, but sacrifices are needed. And then! We could've also had a blank period Gaiden Manga from the man himself. But alas...

Your posts about Amen and Evthys are pure gold. Thank you. I understand if the people romancing him found the scenes too much and all that. Personally, I love them for two reasons: (1) the scenes really showed how terrifying he really is. (2) They were deliciously written, they made me experience so many emotions.

Honestly, I'm glad the author added these moments, because up until this point Amen was pure bark and no bite. Now, it really feels like he's not fucking around. And I hate that people are trying to justify. It is disturbing, it is horrifying. And I love it.

I'm really curious how the romance is going to develop. Usually, I don't go for this type of LIs. Not because their actions disturb me, but because most of the time these dudes are written so over the tope, it is difficult to take them seriously. But Amen... He intrigues me. One moment he's a gentle giant, the next he's slitting throats as a hobby... Like, god damn! I'm very fascinated by his relationship with Evthys; the whole situation is so fucked up and disturbing, that it actually makes me very excited to see how it will develop.

I honestly didn't expect the author to write such scenes. I saw comments of her saying that she would show how terrifying the big boy really is, but I didn't think she would dare write sth so graphic and violent. Especially when it involves a LI that I assume must be pretty popular (or at least that's how it seems to me).

This dude became one of my favourite characters so quickly, it is insane. This and the romantic aspect are just *chef's kiss* 👌

Exactly! 99% of the time when I read a book with a supposedly morally gray/dark/villainous character they’re completely neutered and it’s boring. But Amen? Amen is not playing games. Merry freaking Christmas to me 🥰🥰

The fact that he found torture boring. Not just that he didn’t mind it, but that it was boring to him, a waste of his time. That alone is something else.

And you’re right about the gentle giant thing. He so genuinely cares for Evthys, and he’s so gentle with her, but he’s truly genuinely capable of terrible things. More than capable, ready and willing to do them.

I also didn’t expect the author to write scenes like this, but I’m so glad she did. It makes his character significantly more interesting than he was before. There’s nothing worse than a “terrifying” character who’s all bark no bite. If you’re going to write a monster, let them be a monster.

God I can’t wait to see what happens when Amen finds Evthys with Remmao. Can’t wait to see him spill some more blood tbh

i genuinely don't know how to convey the euphoria i feel about ncuti gatwa being the fifteenth doctor & how excited i am about his first season into words & this is so new for me, i started watching & became a whovian in 2008 & never ever have i ever been excited about a new version of the doctor quite like i have been excited about ncuti gatwa as fifteen. i have always been apprehensive about regeneration, i hate change. when i was 9 & david tennant was going to become matt smith i couldn't imagine anyone playing the doctor other than david tennant, he was my first & this was the first time i was seeing a doctor regenerate & 9 year old me was so negative about it to the point where my parents decided to traumatise me with the doctor who movie to try & show me that this has always happened & that there are so many other wonderful versions of the doctor, that experiment did in fact give me ✨seven issues✨ & is the reason why i am so attached to that little gremlin to this day & then they showed me series 1 & how nine became ten & yet i still was apprehensive about eleven until i watched his first episode & was blown away with how good it was & felt happy about him being the doctor now. then it's 2013 & matt smith was going to become peter capaldi & for me it was an immediate 😬 i couldn't imagine eleven becoming twelve. i couldn't imagine the doctor looking like the character that traumatised me in children of earth & it wasn't until class that i fell in love with twelve. then it's 2017 & twelve is becoming thirteen & yes she's beautiful, it's an absolute win for the women who love women & i loved jodie whittaker in trust me but fluffy space grandad twelve would be leaving & how could i imagine anyone being the doctor after him? but then her season started & i love her so much 🥰

(he's definitely a new version of the doctor but i count the regeneration of thirteen to fourteen & david tennant returning to the role the same way i count jo martin & john hurt's doctors)

BUT NOW?!?! with ncuti gatwa?!? as soon as he was announced i wanted the new season immediately, everything about him becoming the doctor just felt right, i don't know if it was because me & my friend at uni said in the kitchen one morning that ncuti gatwa would be a good doctor who one day or what it was but i just knew that this was the greatest news & that everything, every little crumb, poster, trailer & when the giggle & the church on ruby road aired every moment was just fantastic & left me wanting more & that makes me so happy that i have finally been excited about a regeneration.

also keen to see how river/sid is done in the show! in the books it's kind of like "here's a pair who have a very vague flirtation" to boom undying love when she shows up again lol. saw someone post an interview with the showrunner on reddit where he was asked if they're going to do anything with river/louisa and people were VERY against that lol. while i don't love it there might be more of a basis for that in the books that river/sid (...until river/sid actually happens). they're like the only 2 who seem to genuinely enjoy each other's company (since we were robbed of an emma/louisa bestie era :( )and there's some throwaway lines like louisa wondering how she should feel about river choosing to stay with sid, and if she had a right to feel anything, etc. anyway i'm good with anything as long as olivia cooke comes back, i know she's booked and busy but can't imagine a recast working as well

Okay,,,, back to the topic at hand.... I also agree with the book hinting more of the River/Louisa bond, and truthfully, when I read those parts, I can't decide if I ship it romantically or platonically, or maybe both idk??? But I just like that they are both the "capable" and "level headed" and closest to normal in Slough House haha. I think this is especially highlighted in London Rules, when they attempted to have that "stable" "normalcy" by having River go with JK and Louisa with Shirley. I literally cannot get over the pairings in that book, actually, but maybe I should reserve that for a different post haha

I absolutely hope we get Olivia back again! Considering s5 has been greenlit, and we get our first hint of her being alive in this book, there is a lot of ways they can setup her reappearance. I certainly think it will help boost our chances for a season 6 if we get a powerhouse like her return to the show 😅🙈

They also have a potential (if they really want to establish some kind of romance on the show) to have a better build up for those two. The only thing I gripe about it, it is they weren't able to sprinkle some of that in River for s2&3. I wish they did, but you're right anon, Liv is booked and busy, so I feel like it can go either way...

All in all tho, I'm just really happy at how the show adapted the books. They don't necessarily have to keep each story detail beat by beat, but they really captured the essence of how "useless" they all are, but still somehow manage to be involved with, and even solve, the biggest MI5 cases, not even the Park can handle 😆

Episode 4 of Under the Queen's Umbrella

A mother's love and making difficult choices were big themes in episode 3 and 4.

I love that Queen Hwaryeong told Prince Simso that she'll keep his galavanting with her sons a secret from his mother since he enjoyed himself so much that day.

It's very clear to us the audience that Hwaryeong loves her children with all of her heart and every choice she makes is for their safety.

For instance Prince Seongnam/Kang is clearly and understandably mad/sad/upset that he didn't get to be raised by Hwaryeong for the first ten years of his life. He also doesn't know the reason as to why he specifically had to live outside of the palace unlike his brothers. So to him it just feels like she doesn't care about him and to an extension - his brothers.

She clearly has her reasons for not telling him why yet, we'll soon find out why I'm sure, so for now there's that very big piece of friction/hurt/sadness between them two.

I do like though that Seongnam gets to understand his mother better through his brothers. Prince Gyeseong saying that the reason him and Hwaryeong were out together alone is a secret and him being visibly calm and happy even though his secret hideout was burnt down.

And Seongnam learning that Hwaryeong sent Crown Prince (what is his name? I can't seem to find it) to go see him after she got caught crying on her secret trips to see him.

Seongnam knows/sees/hears evidence of her love for her sons and him but he can't reconcile his hurt and confusion and feelings of abandonment.

It's fine though because I'm sure that when he finds out the reason as to why he was taken away. He'll finally get to understand her better and then they'll improve their relationship.

Queen Hwaryeong and Prince Seongnam are very similar.

Also the daughter of the minister of war is adorable and I'm excited for her and Seongnam's love to blossom! She and Hwaryeong are also quite similar, to me at least.

I can already imagine the things mother-in-law and daughter-in-law could get up to! 🤣🥰

Hwaryeong and Crown Prince break my heart because these two love and understand worry about each other so much!

His face when she said that she wasn't tired while staying up to read the medical books and then those looks of love and sadness that they gave each other during the mother and sons family meal made me emotional!

They both understand the pressure that the other is under and he feels like he's failing her but like it's very clear that she doesn't care about any of it. She just wants him to get better and stay alive!

The mother and sons dinner was so sweet! They all genuinely get along and love each other so much!! 🥰🥰🥰 That's my family!!!

Also not to get all conspiracy theorist but we all saw that 5 ducks playing together and the blood on the one of the ducklings, at the end of the episode. It's clearly sayingg that one of the sons will get hurt or die. But I kind of feel like it won't be the Crown Prince. We all expect it to be him since he's so I'll but what if they pull the rug from under our feet and it ends up being Prince Muan or last born Prince Ilyoung instead?

All of them are in danger just by virtue of being her sons so what if one of them dies. It would be a interesting plot twist!

I want them all to survive but I don't know how kind this show will be to us.

Also was Prince Seongnam taken away because his father isn't the King? The old queen said that she still has a son left - and didn't Seongnam grow up in the village that the old queen moved to? Maybe Hwaryeong had a thing or was bethroed to one of her sons before she was put into the crown princess selection process.

These are all just wild theories so don't take any of this to heart!

I'm just here to have fun and suffer along with the Hwaryeong and her sons.

Ok honestly any rivusa shipper will enjoy the comics and their stories like as a child (I collected the comics from the debut issue and in the country I live every month they would realise a new issue so I’d buy the winx comics every month) I watched the show but the comics made me genuinely love the characters and their relationship ESPECIALLY rivusa and it’s honestly thanks to the comics they solidified their spot as my otp. I mean rivusa have a whole wiki section on the winx fandom wiki dedicated solely to their comic storyline and honestly it’s so iconic. They just have great moments (like I rmb there was one issue where Musa was panicking to look presentable while she was gonna go meet riven in magix city and once she got off the bus to meet him as he’s waiting at the bus stop there’s a whole frame of them holding each other and staring into each other’s eyes and he calls her beautiful😍😍😍 and in that issue when the girls ask about him there’s a whole frame of her heart eyes with hearts in the bg as she raves to the girls “riven is very sweet and kind when you get on his good side” like PLEASE YOUR HONOUR I LOVE THEM SO MUCH and I distinctly rmb from my childhood this issue where the winx and specialists get stranded on an island back In time and Musa and Brandon are knocked out cold and even tho there’s no dialogue riven is just carrying musa to safety bridal style🥺🥺 (I think this ig acc @/rivusa._ did this thing where they screenshotted the moment he carries her in the animated cartoon and in fate and the in the comics and put all 3 side by side and idk there���s smth so fulfilling and heartwarming knowing riven will always carry musa to safety when she needs it in every version of them😭) so yes if you ever have time please go read the comics it really made me love the winx franchise as a whole even more

Big brown eyes stared up at Gwen as the younger boy froze.

"I told you," Three replied as he stood and walked over to Gwen. "You just wouldn't believe me."

Gwen playfully slapped him before turning back to the younger counterpart. This whole dimension traveling and other Peter Parkers in other New Yorks was still confusing to Gwen. It didn't make any sense in her mind.

However, Gwen hadn't see Peter this happy since the incident with Harry. He was genuinely excited to get the "siblings" he always wanted.

"Two's not here?" She asked while glancing around the room.

"Something came up at the lab and he's working overtime tonight. I'll have to introduce you two another night. For now, this is One."

The two had been on the floor of Three's apartment playing legos and the youngest still had a few in his hand. The young boy looked like a mini version of her boyfriend. From the unruly brown hair to the big brown eyes . . . it was like looking back in time.

Peter 1 smiled brightly and waved. "Hi Gwen."

"Hi One. Nice to finally meet you."

Peter 3 wrapped an arm around Gwen. "You can come over Pete, she's not going to bite you."

One rolled his eyes and dropped his legos to stand. When he reached the two, he opened his arms to give Gwen a hug that she immediately returned. "You're so sweet. Thank you."

The youngest leaned back to make eye contact. "It is nice to finally meet you Gwen."

Gwen affectionately ruffled his hair. "Nice to finally meet you too. Now I see why Peter was so eager for us to meet."

"I also get to show off my cooking skills." Three teased while winking at them both.

"Buying the premade rotessori chicken is not cooking," One teased back.

Three playfully shoved him. "No, but it's still good. Now come on, let's go get something to eat."

For the rest of the night, the three joked and chatted. As the dinner came to a close, Gwen began to see why her boyfriend was in love.

Peter 1 was super sweet and very polite. But he was also hyper and funny. As the three of them moved back to the living room, Gwen watched both Peters interact with each other. How they shoved each other around and playfully tussled reminded her of a younger version of her Peter.

Had both of them really been that young not to long ago?

Gwen snapped back to the present when she heard her name being called. While she had been distracted, Peter 3 had pinned his younger brother to the floor.

He excitedly waved her over. "Come watch this."

Gwen smirked as she stepped forward. "Are you picking on your brother?"

Peter looked at her with surprise before a large mischievous grin overtook it. "I have good reason though. Listen."

Peter 3 dug into One's tummy. The youngest squealed loudly before dissolving into the most adorable laughter Gwen had ever heard.

"Awww!"

"Isn't he just the cutest thing?"

Gwen slid closer. "You're right Peter, he's adorable."

One blushed brightly. "Hehey! Dohon't sihide with hihim!"

Three stilled his fingers. "Hmmm. I think you're right."

The youngest looked surprised and a little disappointed when Peter 3 stopped.

"Wahait! Wow!" One squealed as Three quickly pulled him up and turned him around before pinning him in a hug.

The taller Spiderman smirked. "It's more fun when you discover it yourself.

The grin on Gwen's face grew even wider. "He likes tickling too?"

"Likes it? He loves it!"

One's face burned a bright red color as he giggled.

Gwen turned to the youngest. "Do you mind One?"

One grinned sweetly and shook his head.

"You're so sweet." Gwen cooed and booped his nose. "Thank you."

Gwen's heart melted as his little nose scrunched up.

She turned to Peter 3. "I'm melting!"

Three grinned brightly. "I told you! Come on, give him a tickle."

Gwen grinned before digging into the youngest's sides. Her heart softened even more when she heard more of those giggles.

"Aww! Youw're sow cuwte!"

"Noho Ihm not!"

Three cooed. "Wook at youw! Youw wook wike a wittle stwabewry!"

A squeal escaped the youngest's lips as Three smothered his face in kisses and gibberish.

"Now he really does look like one." Gwen teased.

"You have two people who diagwe," Three cooed into the youngest's ear.

"Any more secrets Peter?"

Three grinned while sliding up Peter 1's shirt. "You need to get his giggle button."

"Wahait!"

Gwen couldn't resist as she wiggled a finger into his belly button. She outwardly cooed as One erupted into loud laughter and snorts. "It is a giggle button!"

"And a spider piggy signal!"

"Rhuhude!"

Gwen leaned forward. "Can I try something."

"S-suhure."

Gwen grinned before leaning down to blow a raspberry into the youngest's stomach.

"AHEEEEE!" One screeched before snorting again.

"Now that was the cutest one yet!" Gwen teased while gently pinching his cheek.

Three shifted his hold. "If you want to see cute, you need to watch this."

A second later, Three slid his fingers up into the youngest's armpits. One's reaction was priceless as he started wiggling like an adorable little kid.

As much fun as they were having, Gwen could tell the youngest was getting tired so she decided to have a little more fun before they wore him out completely. She quickly scribbled up and down the youngest's sides while blowing a big raspberry into his stomach.

The youngest full on belly laughed and even boarded on silent laughter as the two tormented him.

Soon enough, Three slid his fingers out of One's armpits. When Gwen saw that, she immediately lifted her hands away from Peter 1's torso. The youngest then slumped into Peter 3 while bubbly giggles still poured out of his throat.

Three immediately wrapped him a hug. "Had your fun bud?"

One nodded and rubbed his eyes.

"Is he okay? Looks like we wore him out," Gwen added.

Her Peter smiled. "It happens most times. Tickles just wear him out easily."

One turned and opened his arms. "Thanks Gwen."

Gwen's heart melted again as she returned the hug. "You're welcome sweet heart. I had a good time getting to know you."

"Me too," One yawned.

"And that's the cue," Peter 3 replied while gently pulling One back into his arms. "Come on bud. Time to rest."

"But . . ."

"Shhhh, it's okay. We're just taking a break for a little while," Three soothed.

Peter 1 struggled to keep his eyes open. "But . . . Gwen."

"I'll come back again another night One," Gwen soothed. "You just need to rest first."

Gwen watched as her boyfriend ran his fingers across the back of One's head and quietly whispered the right phrases to help him relax. He even started to hum as the youngest drifted off.

Everything was done with such love and care . . . it seemed like second nature.

"Now I see why you were so eager for us to meet," Gwen whispered.

Peter 3 smiled at her. With one arm still wrapped around his brother, the other pulled Gwen close. "We're like a little family now."

Gwen smiled as she snuggled closer. "Yes. And we're a lovely little family indeed."

Looks like Alycia once more has saved a show that did her character dirty...

Hope Alycia wanted to do that final scene rather than having to because of a contract or something like that. I think she enjoyed the show before. She seemed to love the cast and everyone she worked with, but idk. I just hope it was something she wanted.

Anyway! I'm excited to see where her career takes her, Alycia can literally do anything it seems like, and she's already done a few projects that have been incredible since leaving fear!

i’d like to think she did want to do that as a homage to the first season, especially with all the photos being shared of the OG’s on set! but yeah she’s defo doing it for the fans and not the writers, just like she did with The 100 and Lexa’s final return. It’s why i love her so much - she does it for us!

but yeah, can’t wait to see her in more stuff and working on different themes/shows. The stuff she’s done since has been amazing, you’re right! really highlights her skills and i hope she gets bigger because she genuinely deserves it!

Has anyone else obsessively watched the behind-the-scenes episode numerous times? Like, I can’t get enough. I literally cried when I saw the clips of Loustat finally being portrayed in a romantic relationship. The way Lestat gazes at Louis. The way he ran, overwhelmed with love, to Louis smiling and hugging him. Teaching Claudia to drive. The proud dads watching her go on a date. The family dancing. Lestat looking at Louis like he’s Lestat’s entire world. All these things I’ve ACHED to see on screen and now it’s here. Like, we’ve won. This fandom is finally getting its’ moment and I’m just beyond ecstatic. Thank you to the precious muffins that are Jacob and Sam for delivering. Just, thank you. They understood the assignment.

I actually can't rewatch it bc the BTS took me out for like a day, I was just so filled with happiness. When watch the BTS I kept having to pause from excitement it took me like 2 hours to watch 42 minutee. I have been obsessively staring at gifs and stills and clips tho. I was actually pretth down until I saw the BTS, and then it was like, depression resigned.

The happy murder family bits are my absolute FAVORITE part. Them dancing toegther at what I'm assuming was Claudia's b-day party killed me and then revived me. I'm so excited I want to give the entire cast and crew a kiss on the lips for making this show bc it means so much to me and makes me so genuinely happy 🥰

I watched the The Rookie Season 6 premiere!!

I started it last night and finished it this morning and just OAUGH it was so good :D

I expected them to not figure it out for a while but I low-key love the way they did it. Because it shows that they (the characters) aren't dumb and gives some action but still keeps a huge mystery to it. Theory wise, I keep thinking of the Dream (nightmare) Team (Elijah and Oscar) but it's been like a half season so I don't think it's time to bring them back yet. Idk tho, we'll see what happens!

Also Lucy is going through it xD like genuinely she is and :(( but everyone (even Wesley xD) knowing about the clown thing was just HILARIOUS lol

Also after Tim said "maybe she just had a fight with her girlfriend" I was like "oh cool we're casually using a gay example- he's talking about him" soo as I said at the time, diversity win! The random person you're projecting your problems onto is a lesbian through you <3.

Anyway xD lowkey, I get both their sides, but I'm lowkey on Tim's lol. I do get being stressed out and just wanting support though, totally, I just think Lucy's going to realize she needs to talk it out with him

Also I'm glad for their development! I'm also kind of glad Tim's not the "instigator" (there's not really one but yk) of the fight since he's been the "mean one" a lot lol. Anyway I hope my babeys work it out (soon - I figure they will eventually) :((

Also poor Harper :(( I know she'll get through it but it just sucks. And it sucks that she can't talk to James about it (like not legally but emotionally lol), though I do like that they have differing opinions on stuff. It's nice to have couples that don't have all the same views, you know?

Anyway!! I didn't mention them but Celina and Gray are slaying as always <3. And for Celina (and everyone)'s sake I hope we catch this guys soon (but not too soon ;) - I love me some drama)

So excited for this season!! Especially the 100th episode, it's so great that they get one :D. I think both of those are gonna be really good and I'm just so looking forward to it :D!! This was an amazing episode, lots of good stuff all around, and I'm so excited for the next one :D. The promo looks wild (also AAAHHHHHH THE WEDDING!!! :DD) but so good and I'm looking forward to it :D 🥰.
