Personal Shipping Tier List

Woke up and chose Chaos today so here's some discourse. My personal Genshin Shipping Tier list.

Disclaimer this is only my opinion! If you like a ship lower down on the list good for you! You're free to ship it but I'm probably not going to be reblogging the fanart lol

S tier = ships i will look through canon for any hint of it any time the characters are on screen together. Cynari and Candeyha would be in this tier

A tier = are ships I wouldn't mind reading about but I don't go searching for the pairing. Cyhaitham would be this tier

B tier = I get why some people ship these but the fic would have to be extremely well written or the pairing being the B pairing for me to read it. Cylou goes here

C tier = . . . I don't get it. Why do people ship this? I don't see the appeal and don't plan to read it

D tier = No! Just no! It's the obvious Kaeluc incest and Zhongli with children/characters he's been a mentor figure to. The fact that Diluc or Zhongli are in over 50% of the no no ships is sort of funny.

Obviously these are just my opinion on what fan content I'll interact with and what content I'll blacklist. Anything in S or A tier is at risk of being posted on this blog in the future. If you are uncomfortable with one of those ships and don't want to risk the 1 in 50+ chance of it showing up you are free to not follow me.

The ships I'm most likely to talk about are Razor/Bennett, Amber/Eula, Jean/Lisa, Beidou/Ningguang, Xinqiu/Chongyun, Raiden/Yae, Cyno/Tighnari, Dehya/Dunyarzad, and Dehya/Candace.

4. Hexadyne Meetings - Saesama (the rarity of bro and nanna fics could absolutely destroy me but i really like the interactions between all of the guardians in this one)

5. Flop, Flutter - cthchewy (technicality, big nasty soulless bro yikes sorry)

6. The Estrangement Thing - NoBrandHero (there’s a theme here listen to me don’t be doubtful it’s worth the trouble, there is brojohn in there, which is not my thing at all, but it is NOT relevant to what i like about this fic, and i think if u read it, u will realize that immediately lol (*i am not including second best even though that fic is literally my favorite ds fic ever because it is NOT bro centric))

7. cold front off the pacific - drow_sy (i actually read this bc geometrician bookmarked it lol but it punches down on u and i like that)

8. insect clockwork - SORD (aka, if it was written pre-2013, i’ve read it)

9. Flashing Lights and Raisins - RadioMoth (the strider manpain tag exists for a reason)

10. Hide - Plajus (OG post-sburb type shit. we love to see it)

11. Blackout - lantadyme (bro strider sick fic. Wrow. old shit. I don’t even know how i have held onto these for this many years.)

Like, I get that you like them and want to show how canon shows that they care about each other. But you can also respect that other people might want to see those characters with others, you know? Your own beliefs and interpretation of canon events are your own. Don't force it on others.

Fanfiction Rating: F There's like five fics in total between AO3 and ff.net: maybe there was an existing site for Glee fics back in its heyday but I am not going into the world of independent pages

When Did I Start Shipping Them? I got into them around season 3, when I got tired of the Will and Emma drama: and then when I rewatched the show with friends in 2018, they were just a main part of my enjoyment!

Why Do I Ship Them? They are both terrible people and I think they deserve each other. They are so obsessed with each other and their rivalry, it's a much more stable dynamic than any of the romantic plotlines in the show. What can I say? I love a good kismesessitude. Also they danced together like twice and I can't get over those scenes.

Favourite Fanfiction Tropes/Staples? Well, if there WERE ANY FICS I might have opinions on my favourites! Perhaps a fake dating AU for these two would be fun?
