raikov is generally a pretty blank slate besides the little we know about him ( being violent / sadistic, being in love with volgin, u kno ) and i think he's potentially a really interesting character from what little we see of him. im personally not ascribed to the eva theory bc i think its kinda silly and robs him of a lot of his personal agency, but it is a common theory, so i kinda wanted to build up a characterisation that was more. faithful to canon rather than fanon u kno. plus sometimes my autism just latches onto specific random characters for no reason and in this case it was raikov JDSFHDFKJ my partner loves raiden and when we were scrolling his wiki page for the funnies obviously raikov's page comes up at the top as a "maybe you meant this" and i just kept coming back to him

not even shipping wise I think shadow and Amy make a really interesting duo, and not just the "grumpy with the sunshine" dynamic either, like they're really similiar in a lot of ways actually, where they really understand each other but also can really butt heads in an interesting, fun way too. and Ik for the most part their interactions thru the whole of sonic history is very little but the moments we get are rarely*, not never ofc haha, violent even when they're on opposing sides. obviously, ik that not a lot of energy is going into their interactions, but it does leave me with lots of like implicit information, like that shadow really doesn't see amy as an enemy, and vice versa, and that they have a mostly silent regard and respect for each other. and care too, there's very few other characters besides cream and Maria that I can think of that shadow isn't overtly apathetic or rough to, and considering their interactions are few and far between I count that as pretty consistent.

like I'm thinking abt their interactions mainly from sonic adventure 2 and their limited dialogue from sonic riders, and at most they have playful digs to each other in riders but really it's so friend coded and I just love it, and adventures 2 makes me wanna cry bc it just seems like amy just sees Shadow for who is he or what he's trying to be right off the bat (fuck u sonic x for taking that moment from me ill never forgive uuuuuuu) and now we have this murder of sonic the hedgehog that yes I DO consider Canon thanks for asking lol and again with the subtext, that not only has shadow come to her bday party and tho yeah he didn't bring a gift at first he knew she liked hot honey (aka they clearly converse casually to get info like that, or at the least he's interested in her enough to keep that sort of information on his mind) and got her tickets and after expressing how he didn't care for them AGREED TO GO WITH HER!! underutilized sorry. sooo much more could’ve been said could have been done et cetera. the ramifications of the divine luck are underused his coming back in sdra2 was underused etc etc. there’s sooo much that could be said with him and it’s so easy to do it is the smallest fucking reach and linuj is like. this is utsuro he is like kamakura but with divine luck :). and everyone was like omg so true!! and he’s reduced down and isn’t handled with actual depth. like. there’s Reasons for why he is the way he is. aaa!

- The one thing i’d want to make canon about them

system. for utsuro specifically i think he struggles a lot with detachment and has frequent dissociative episodes. he’s not quite prone to third person/out of body episodes but i think he struggles with orienting himself in the world (spatial awareness) and staying aware of his surroundings.

cute! sometimes it looks a bit off to me but i think that’s just a matter of hues/undertones. i reaaaally like his color palette in sdra2, it hits right there. i’ll always think the color choices of the uniform were a bit silly but ultimately it looks cute!! in dra it’s just a weird mix of warm hues vs gray undertones (this applies to like.. skin and hair not just clothes) but sdra2 looks very nice!!!

Who felt romantic feelings first?

as with most of my lore i waffle on this a bit But i think it would have to be roman...((i mean in canon he asks tabs 2 marry him like....maybe a few months maximum into dating idk its not specified how much time passes between 1x8 and 1x9)) but canon aside, aaron is intense for sure but v v flighty at first. he recognizes that his tryst with roman is stupid (hes not gonna stop tho) and that nothing productive or good for him will likely come of it. he's definitely seething about the prospect of developing feelings and he's seasoned with hookups and flings and whatever to tamp it down/find other outlets...

roman however is losing the idgaf war Immediately esp because aaron is one of the only ppl willing to provide him real emotional support and who seems to enjoy his company genuinely. roman falls first and is also seething about it.
