how to take screenshots using nvidia geforce experience

first off I wanna apologize for the image quality lol I had to use my phone to take a photo of my computer screen because taking screenshots would disable the GeForce Experience overlay. secondly, I’m gonna shorten it to GXP because I am Lazy.

anyways, here we go, all details under the cut so I don’t clutter anyone’s dashboard.

also I’m gonna assume you know how to pose your sim, use gshade, all that good stuff, cuz that’s not what I’m here for, there are plenty of other tutorials for those, love you tho.

so we wanna start off with pulling up the overlay with Alt + Z, and it’s gonna look like this:

so these are all the things you can go with GXP, take screenshots, record, etc. the overlay is mostly useful for pulling up the settings bc you can set keyboard shortcuts for other stuff. so that’s what we’re gonna do now, open the settings.

bam, settings. there’s tons of stuff you can do in here, notably change the shortcuts (I keep the defaults). what I’m gonna show you how to do real quick is change where you save your captures, because it can be a little weird since screenshots are saved in the same place as the recordings (not sure if you can change that, I haven’t found a way to do so).

so just click on recordings, and click the 3 little dots shown below to set it to a different file path if you want to.

ok, now to actually TAKE the HQ screenshots.

Alt + F2 is the default shortcut for pulling up the “photo mode” overlay, and it’ll look like this, on the side of your screen.

the settings above will take a normal screenshot with your native resolution, but that’s not what we want, so we’re gonna click on capture > screenshot (as shown above) and select super resolution (as shown below):

with super resolution enabled, you’ll be able to scale up the image render resolution to either 2x or 4x (maybe you have other options depending on your specs, idk, just know that the higher you go the longer it’s going to take).

and then bam, just click snap (unless you want to mess with the filters, that’s an option, I find it unnecessary bc I already use gshade but hey, do whatever ur little heart desires)

once you snippity snap that pic, you’re gonna get a lil load thingy:

it might take a few seconds (again, depends on your pc specs) and like i said earlier, the higher the resolution, the longer this part is gonna take. ultimately, it is a slightly slower process than using SRWE but it’s one that has less issues, more official support, and you don’t need an external app for it since it comes with your PC and is just an overlay. also it doesn’t crash your game lol.

recording is easier though you just click record (or the keyboard shortcut, default is Alt + F9), click again to stop recording, and bam you’ve got yourself a lil video of whatever you want.

SORRY FOR THE LONG ASK but you activated my sleeper agent rottmnt brainstorming Re: The Video Game Question

Raph: would probably like low strategy single player games and lean toward arcade/motion control based experiences because they present a way around the "Hand Too Big Controller Too Small And Breakable" problem. As an Oldest Sibling (speaking from an Oldest Sibling Gamer pov) he would have been the Designated Single Player Driver (I have a vivid mental image of Raph playing old c tier single player wii games like My Sims Kingdom while Mikey, Leo, and Donnie yell instructions at him) and I think he's still gravitated towards those kinds of games. He also feels like the kind of guy who will thoroughly enjoy every video game he plays but his favorite is still inexplicably just like. Uno for the ps3

Leo: Would like competitive games. I feel like he's the kinda guy who cannot bring himself to give a shit about the story or aesthetics of a game and cannot care at all about single player video games outside of speedrunning or something. The point of games for him Is To Win. I feel like him and Donnie both played CSGO or COD at a young age with voice chat and thats why they are who they are. His favorite game is probably a competitive hero shooter or smth. He probably is playing Valorant as we speak.

Donnie: I feel like he's the only one who is a Capital "G" Gamer. Has the broadest taste but tends to like games he can "lose himself" in. (Competitive shooters, MMOs, lengthy and intricate single player games IE: Dark Souls or Elden Ring, metroidvanias, RPGs, fighting games) If the taste of Donnie Gamer Mode we get in the show is anything to go by, he seems the type to obsess over a game for like a month, beat it 120%, probably achieve some level or speedrunning or competitive infamy and then drop it completely never to be seen again.

Mikey: Would love sandbox games for Sure. Plays Minecraft but only on creative mode. Will play sims but only with cheats to make super intricate mansions or crazy houses or recreate something he saw in a movie once. He would 100% play single player games his brothers already beat so he can look around at the scenery and mess around in a character creator. Will play an open world game and never do a single main story mission and call it quits when he gets bored.

They've all 100% played a bunch of really weird and bad shovelware games or really cheap 3rd party titles because they were what Splinter could get for them. They all have 10 to 15 mobile idle games they'll rotate out bc they all need to be Stimulated at All Times. Yes they have played Mario Party and Killed Each Other over it but more importantly they have played Dokapon Kingdom and have started rivalries that have lasted several months over this game. They will hold grudges til they die over this game. They have never gotten to the end screen of this game and in all likelihood, never will.

Idk maybe my vibes are off tho lol but can you tell I've thought about this a lot to my own detriment

There's actually a point in the next book-I think it's in chapter 1 but I can't remember-where Galois mentions giving Raph one of Draxum's oversized keyboards when he has to do anything on the computer. (Draxum has large-print keyboards because he's Old) I think I've mentioned that the boys all have larger-than-normal phones because they only have the three fat fingers and that's just not gonna work with a standard iPhone. Raph I feel like is basically Strong from Fallout 4:

I'm reminded of when my sister would sit and watch my play Dream Life to 'learn', until I moved it into my own room. Really, their first console was probably 'whatever Splinter found in a dumpster and still worked', so unless it was something with connected controllers they were probably playing off whatever controllers he'd found as well, so it's entirely possible they legit just had the one controller for awhile. And yeah, they all crowd around to watch Raph play because that's annoying little sibling behavior.

Mikey would love games where the goal is to Make Something. He doesn't care about winning, only stepping back and looking at the finished product and going "nice." I do feel like he'd actually play the sims though-the twins use it as a building simulator, but he'd absolutely get into the lives and stories of his sims. He builds too, but he also gets into creating the sim. He plays Fallout 4 with the Sim Settlements mod and never finds Shaun because all he's doing is building shacks for farmers.

Oh, Leo is absolutely in it to win it. In any way, if it has a score he can use to compare to Donnie's he loves it. The sole exception to this is city builders, I can absolutely see him sinking days into Cities Skylines creating elaborate planned cities with complicated mass transit and beautiful walking spaces.

The other exception is if he can fuck around in a game and be chaotic. He plays Skyrim and installs the sex mods not because he's horny, but because he thinks going around in this incredibly inappropriately horny fantasy world is hysterical. He uses it more as a Medieval Life Simulator and if he completes a quest it's entirely by accident.

Donnie is absolutely the worst gamer and will learn literally everything there is about the game after playing it through once. He also probably mods his games, or even makes his own mods. Some of them to make everything look cooler or add quality of life and immersion stuff in, but he'll also do stuff like install the mod that replaces the Skyrim arrow noises with a man going "pew!"

Omg they absolutely played knock-off games as kids. They probably lied to Mikey about them being off-brand so he didn't feel bad about their situation, telling him that the title was a misprint and all the ads for the actual game were lying.

I'm an absolute simp for Bumblebee so any ship with him as the prey is perfect in my eyes.

The 3 ships that comes to mind immediately are BlitzBee, StarBee and MegaBee.

The Megabee scenario about a concerned Megatron worrying that Bee is distrustful of him while in reality the autobot is having the most insane thoughts were really funny lol.

So I'm curious in how you would go about the other two ships, if in all cases Bee is already into the idea and find it hot or if it's a life or death scenario as he is being hunted down by various deceptions ?

I'm rambling here, but all Im saying is that I need to hear more from you about this specific Predator/Prey dynamic bc I CRAVE MORE.

adding a read more bc this got a lot longer than I thought it would but I hope you enjoy my brainworms

okay so for BlitzBee it would absolutely be something that Blitzwing brought up first and you might think "oh was it Random joking about it or something?" no it was Icy looking Bee right in the eyes and just going "I want to hunt you for sport. would that interest you?" and at first Bee did not get it at all and was unsettled but he ends up getting curious which is how the first occurrence of them disappearing into the woods for a week happened

Bee would end up finding out that oh it actually is kinda hot to have all that adrenaline going kinda like right after a really tough race except the bit of fear tingling up his spine makes it interesting and then being caught and having Blitzwing roughly fuck into him with barely any prep at all hurt but still felt so so good and after waking up the next morning and thinking for a bit yeah he got it he got exactly why Blitzwing was interested in that and it ends up becoming a regular thing for the two of them where they just disappear and then show back up again like a week later Bee looking like he went through a wood chipper and his abdomen a bit bloated from all the transfluid he's been stuffed with the last week but his field brimming so brightly with a fuzzy happiness that no one wants to bring up that he needs to stop whatever he's been doing

aside from Ratchet that is lol he makes it very clear how much he dislikes having to do a full systems check on him but also does NOT want to know who he's been fucking bc he knows it would have to be a decepticon and he doesn't wanna know a damn thing about it

as for StarBee tbh I really couldn't see either of them being interested in it or bringing it up aside from like...rid15 StarBee bc rid15 Starscream is feral in a very specific way and yeah I could see him wanting to hunt Bumblebee down and then claim him once he's victorious

in earthspark it would be easier ofc since they're allies so eventually Bee would get the courage to bring it up to Megatron who would just be bewildered beyond all belief like "you want me to what??? why would you want that?? I've hurt you before!" and it would take a lot of convincing on Bee's part to get Megatron to agree especially bc he'd be like "but aren't you and Breakdown an item? anyways Megatron would eventually relent in that scenario and agree to it bc he does find the idea of fucking Bee to be much more appealing than he'd expected and he wants to try something new but as soon as he's actually caught Bee and starts to manhandle him a bit Bee would start struggling and begging him to let him go or something and Megatron would definitely end up using their safeword he just wouldn't be able to do it

they'd have to sit down somewhere Megatron shaking a bit bc even tho he knew it was just a scene and that Bee was just playing the part the thought of him returning to how he once was terrifies him and they'd end up having a long conversation that ends with the decision that if they were to try something like that again they'd change it to be more lighthearted bc Megatron did enjoy the chase and doesn't mind getting a bit rough with his partners but even Bee pretending that he's scared and trying to get away is too much but yeah they'd figure it out and have a lot of steamy fun

tfa MegaBee would be wayyyy different tho Megatron would be so into it and Bee would be so in over his head but he'd be wobbling back to the autobot base later looking like he'd been in a ten car pile up but feeling more blissed out than he'd ever been lmao he'd think about it on and on for weeks hoping to get to do it again

I think this is more so to showcase how much of a devilish threat Sukuna is, based on how much of a rise the reactions are from Yuuji and Yuuta. Yet at the same time, too many deaths in this manga already displayed that notion (esp. from Mahito), and for it to happen to another critical character? Like I get the poetic nuances of it all, I really do, and ngl I saw it coming. 5. Ayato – trombone

No, I didn't choose that because of the meme with a guy in dark glasses, no 😎. Playing the trombone is kinda hard, because you produce the sound by lips vibration, which should be super close to the mouthpiece (trombone players blow there, just like clarinet and oboe players, they all have their special mouthpiece) SO the vibrations that lips do sound kinda funny (try to imitate the sound with wich coachman stops horse, it's like "prrrr"). I honestly think it is the only one thing Ayato would be fond of, lol. He'd certainly want to look cool, he'd think about drums or maybe guitar, or even vocals... but end up with : " oooh this thing moves forward and backward, again forward and backward FUNNY".

Jokes aside, you have to controle your lips to make an intonation on this instrument, since then I believe people, who play trombone ALL have good voices and control of intonation, inner music sense of how the voice/instrument should sound, therefore it'll suit Ayato, cause as far as I remember he has talent (???) for singing. It explains my position if it's true ofc.

6. Kou – percussions (well actually vocal, but idc...)

Idk, I have the one thing in my mind: Kou has VERY good coordination. Remember, he is an idol, so he is able to sing and dance at the same time, so I can assume he'd be good at percussions of any type too.

However, it's more logical to put vocals with piano in one category, because ppl who's specialization is vocal/choir also have high level of piano education (well, should have).

But for me Kou doesn't look a person who'd be interested in piano. There's only one piano, BUT THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT PERCUSSION INSTRUMENTS... I don't know, I think he'd be very excited about fancy marimba sounds or all those bells, you know. At least he'd orient in what orchestra play and never loose his moves/entries. It won't be hard for him, I think.

7. Kanato – harp

This decision is partly inspired by @eyelessdoll-y Kanato art, where he plays the harp. Then I thought: definitely. I personally think that string plucking instruments like mandolin or lute also suit him (they have medieval vibe, just like Kanato idk why), but harp is far above them, it's heavenly beautiful.

Also Kanato would complain about how most of harp players are women and he seems to be the only guy there. Kanato would enjoy using harp as an accompaniment instrument for singing. His delicate voice + harp sound are like heaven's doors. Also, Kanato would choose such instrument to make his mother to pay attention to him.. (I didn't want to put up this theme here, but kinda did, so sorry.)

Kanato would also be annoyed with his bros who play em... very loud instruments, comparing to his own. Hehe

8. Laito – Accordion (+piano by canon)

Accordion associates with French meme music :)

But you know, this sound of harmonica, which produces accordion is rather miserable. It's like a mix of brass+woodwind+voice, weird but cool sound. Has elements, which are alike to piano keyboard, so should be relatable for Laito.

I believe that songs played with accordion are the most soulful... Maybe that's because it can make very long "pedal" long lasting sounds. Also requires virtuosity and hands which are able to take chords (tho I think Laito has such hands and fingers, since he plays piano).

I also have this hc when people assume you can only play some funny songs with this instrument, nothing serious, but when the player takes minor chords – accordion sounds as if someone's soul cries. It depicts the pain perfectly. It's like Laito for me...

PARANOID. i use sound with pretty much everything i play since my eyes might not track everything thats happening, so hearing the ambience for the vale freaked me out so much, i stayedat the camp for SO LONG and good thing too cuz the radobaan makes its way down that path and i was shook SKFJSF

also the big fucking dalamadur skeleton in the vale is so. UGHHHH

whenever i do this quest i do just follow it around for a while (which. ive had to do this quest A LOT cuz i thought i get vitality crystals from it (yknow cuz i got some from it) so i have probably 100% killed more vaal hazak than any of the other elder dragons SKFJSF

vaal hazak is so cool cuz its covered in rotten meat and uses the effluvium (corpse gas) as its like. life source. it pulls excess effluvium from the vale into itself and expels it when theres not enough, so its keeping the ecosystem tame its so cool UGHH

also one of its moves it plays dead its so fucked up itll fall over like you've knocked it over and then just lay there but you hear its inhale and it looks up and BLASTS YOU with its effluvia gas beam (WHICH. THAT THING HURTS!!!!!! for real the effluvium attack is so. plus it also halves yr health? like if vaal hits you with that shit itll give you miasma or whatever and it HALFS YR HEALTH BAR and you gotta eat a nulberry to negate it

im not one for switching shit around in my like item bar tho (MAINLY cuz most the time ive played MHW was with my siblings mouse and its scroll bare was broken so swapping items was hard) so i just put on like 3 effluvia resistance gems and it cant give me miasma. problem solved SKFSJF

re: keyboards LOL i would not say i have risen to the level of Keyboard Nerd (as in person who knows the lingo and has opinions on it), but i definitely have Keybord Preferences. Like i'm at the level where i know there's stuff that i don't know, you know?

the keyboard in the bg of the nail photo is the Glorious Gaming GMMK 1 which i was previously using for my personal pc! but after munting the second wireless dongle for my work keyboard i finally decided to give up on wireless keyboards for my work station because the laptop travels fro my home work station to like, actual work with me and i keep kinda dropping the it places and fucking up the dongle. which then renders the whole keyboard + mouse combo useless! so now i have this wired keyboard that plugs into my work station and nothing that plugs into work laptop

the only customisation i did for this one was switching out the keycaps from plain white to the ones u can see below. the GMMK1 has some like, minor customisation software available, but it mostly only affects the LEDs in the bg. i REALLY like the sound it makes tho, it's very satisfyingly clicky without being too obnoxiously loud

and then for my personal pc i am using the Glorious Gaming GMMK2, because i liked the v1 enough that i could not be bothered to do further research on other brands. i ended up 'building' this one, insofar as 'building' means 'i purchased all the parts separately because they were on sale and cheaper to buy separately than it was to buy the whole keyboard pre-built', but there are like. three parts. keyboard base, switches, keycaps. it's more like putting together simply 3d puzzle than building anything.

i don't actually know much about switches - the ones i got for the GMMK2 were chosen solely because i needed a new keyboard and these were the cheapest available on the website i was buying them from. they are less clacky than the ones on the GMMK1, which i dont like as much, but they have a little more resistance when u press them, which i do like!

i also prefer the full layout on the GMMK1 with space in between the numpad and arrows and stuff. the GMMK2 is a 96% layout, wehich is like,,,fine, in that it has all of the buttons i prefer to press, but i don't like how cramped it was. unfortunately, the GMMK2 only comes in 96% or Tenkeyless (without the numpad) form, and bc i live in NZ and am very impatient, i could not be bothered doing further work to find a Perfect solution when i wanted to get the keyboard together like, That Day LOL.

the thing that IS very cool about the GMMK2 is that it has the level of keybinding customisation that i wanted, so i have been able to map some specific keys that i wanted but can't do on the 1.

i realise that this is a long post for a bitch who claimed she wasnt a keyboard nerd but like. idk what a macro is and can't imagine having a use for one u know, like there are things mx GMMK2 is capable of that i do not understand and don't have a call for. the Real Nerds are out there, and they have opinions on whether or not your switches need to be Lubed.
