i was really quite bad at math in high school but math was actually my fav class to write notes for. my little graph paper notebook was so neat and tidy and beautiful like it was the highlight of my day whenever there was a lesson on something new in math bc i got to draw myself cute little tutorials on how to do certain equations. and now im an english major 🫡

carol + sex & relationships

now, im the first to tell ya carol is an awkward lesbian but when it comes to flirting with women? sometimes she can lay it on Thick and really sweep you off your feet if her head is into it.

it's just a matter of mentality; if she's not caught off guard, and she's prepared she knows the exact moves to get locked in on her -- the right things to say, the right looks to give, the right tone of voice. in the bedroom she's a top after all (she can switch depending on partner) so she can really get into it. i think as lesbians we all have a fear of being perceived as Predatory but since experiencing many new cultures up in space and having a ton of different flings, she's a bit better with being more fearless about it unless of course they're a friend.

there are exceptions of course. if she's super caught off guard, if the other person matches her energy and is better at it than her she can and will gay panic (and start blushing, and stuttering) and if she's head over heels in love with someone, it's a totally different situation. she almost always won't come onto someone first if she's in love with them, even if they show interest in her. after losing memories with maria, and seemingly "cursing" everyone she's ever loved to a horrible fate, she's a bit afraid of love, for understandable reasons. once her heart is fully in it, she pulls away. once it gets to the point where she starts getting invested, she'll pull away. the other party would have to pull her back, which i know isn't fair to them, and it's something she's trying to work on.

if those walls can be broken past, though, she is a wonderful lover. i don't just mean in the bedroom; she's full of endless, unwavering loyalty, and endless love. she will give you every planet and every star you ask for if you want it. she will travel across the galaxy to see you if you're having a bad day, especially after losing monica and realizing the mistake she'd made by not coming back to see her. there's always an urge to run from love but if you manage to help her see past that, she's locked in for life, and even beyond that.

my absolute favourite first date idea that i like to write for carol is her taking her date up on a ship and showing them a beautiful space sight -- sometimes a galaxy, sometimes a dying star -- and they idle the ship there, watch the stars, and just talk. it's simple, it's intimate, and usually an amazing thing to witness.

going back to the bedroom thing, she is a top. she can switch depending on partner but typically with her it's all about body worship. she wants to worship the person she's with, to her it's not about having or maintaining control, it's about putting her all into pleasing the other person and making them feel loved and warm, even if they're a stranger. switching to bottom can be difficult for her; again, not so much about control, but vulnerability isn't easy for her. she's trying to be better about it, though.
